This is one of the best Ganesh Temple. The Ganesh is स्वयंभू. Once you take Darshan of the Ganesh, you feel a very high spiritual energy flowing through your self. Once visited you get mental peace. I regularly visit here. If you are a Ganesh Bhatk, then this is a must visit. The temple is an ancient structure. Made of black stone. During the Peshwa time, this place was very well looked after. Today the trust is taking good care of the temple.

Nice and peaceful place. Lord Ganesha temple is very beautiful. Outside temple there is small market. Road towards Theur is in very bad condition. Ample paid car and bike parking available.

Chintamani Ganpati Temple Theur is the fifth temple to be visited per the traditional sequence of the AshtavinayakYatra. It is located around 30 kilometers from Pune in the Haveli Taluka. The temple is at the union of River Bhima and the conjoint of rivers Mula and Mutha. As far as historical records are concerned, there is no evidence of when the Theur Chintamani Ganpati temple was built and who the constructor was. But it is believed that the temple has existed for ages. The main temple structure that we see today was constructed by descendants of Moraya Gosavi. After hundred years of construction, Madhavrao Peshwa I built the Sabha mandap. He also installed a huge bell here. After the demise of Peshwa Madhavrao and Ramabai, a garden was developed on the premises. If you see the conventional sequence of the Ashtavinayak Yatra, the Chintamani Ganpati Temple Theur is visited on the fifth number. It is located around 25 kilometers from the city of Pune. It falls in the Haveli Taluka of Pune district. The Theur Chintamani Ganpati temple is at the Sangam or conjoint of the Mula and Mutha rivers and the union of it with the river Bhima.

The Chintamani Temple of Theur is a Hindu temple dedicated to Ganesha, the elephant-headed god of wisdom. Located 25 km (16 mi) from Pune.the temple is "one of the larger and more famous" of the Ashtavinayaka, the eight revered shrines of Ganesha in the Indian state of Maharashtra. The temple lore describes how Ganesha retrieved the wish-giving jewel Chintamani for his devotee, the sage Kapila from the greedy king Gana and how he pacifies the uneasy mind of the god Brahma, who meditated on him in Theur. The temple is associated with the Ganapatya saint Morya Gosavi (dated between 13th to 17th century). Though the temple is believed to have existed since antiquity, the current structure of the temple was built by him or his descendant. The Chintamani Temple was also a spiritual magnet for the Peshwa rulers, especially Madhavrao I (1745–1772) who renovated and made additions to the temple structure. Blessed place ever ....... chintamani ganpati temple.... Its located to Theur........love the place

Temple is of Lord Ganesh. In Maharashtra, there is Ashtavinayak yatra which includes this temple Ganesh. Total 8 Ganesh Temples are included in Ashtavinayak yatra. Temple is peaceful and have ample space around. They have paid parking facility. They have Annachtra as well. This is located near Solapur road, at Theur village. Road conditions are really bad from Solapur highway till this temple (February 2021). Villagers sell their fresh vegetables, fruits near temple area.

It's the third temple to visit in अष्टविनायक यात्रा. It's the nearest one from Pune. The roads are not that great to be honest. Especially the route if you are going from Solapur highway. For 10 kms, it'll take 30 mins. Better to take the Wagholi route. The temple is spacious. It had long queue of devotees. It took us 40 mins to reach sanctum of the temple. The sculpture of deity was very good. Felt very blissful after the visit. Didn't find designated parking space for vehicle. There's good amount of space inside the gate.

Visited on 29oct23, it took 15 mins for darshan. Google map took me from back side of temple where there were vehicle park and big parking space available. So we entered from back side gate however nariyal, durva, and fool prasad has to buy from main gate. Nice temple very good arrangements.

#5th Ganpati temple to visit as per the traditional Ashtavinyak Dharshan. The Ashtavinayak Yatra involves visiting 8 Ganpati Temples in a particular sequence. Shree Chintamani Temple in Theur comes at the 5th position in the sequence. The original construction of the temple is undated. The current state of the temple was mainly constructed by descendants of Moraya Gosavi. ‘Chintamani’ is another name given to Lord Ganesha, as Ganesha helped in getting rid of Brahma’s worries. The temple is always filled with devotees. One might stand in a queue and take about 30-40 minutes for darshan. The temple is near to Pune, mostly 20-25 kms depending where one stays in Pune. Visit the temple and get rid of your worries by the blessings of Lord Ganesha !

The temple is with old architecture. It has wooden structure and old roof tiles. Mostly temple is crowded because it located near Pune City. COVID preventive measures are taken religiously. No one allowed without mask inside the temple which is rarely observed in other Ashtvinayak temple I visited to. Cleanliness is good.

Great place of devotees. Found soothing environment inside. But only thing was people taking selfies within the line and talking on phones. Strictness should be followed for such activities. Overall the temple is good.

There was a big Q on new year as it was chaturdasi too if I am not wrong. Still it was little quick and darshan was good. There was Hanuman mandir also inside the temple. And there were pics of asta ganapati in the front hall of main temple which gives you info where other 7 Ganapatis around Pune.

This is one of the nearby ashtvinayak template from pune towards Solapur highway. The approx 3. Km road is Under-construction and may take more time than usual. Temple is decent and has staying arrangment approx 500₹/700₹ per room. You can visit this place after Ranjangoan ganpti or as you planned. You can take chocolate pedha here as a Prasad. Temple is casual on COVID 19 precautions. Though necessary signages are displayed around.

Shree Chintamani Temple in Theur offers tranquility, ample parking for both two-wheelers and four-wheelers. The Maha Prasad served daily from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm, priced at 50 rupees per person, is delicious. They also provide reasonably priced rooms for accommodation, making it a peaceful and convenient place for both worship and stay.

We were searching nearby places to visit and we found Theur. It is famous for one of the seven Ganesha temples called Chintamani Ganesha. Theur is one and half hours away from our home. The weather was good so we thought about going. The temple is so lovely. All of the wooden work inside the hall. There was a queue but it just took half an hour to go inside. Wow! What a beautiful Ganesha statue it was! I'm grateful 🥰 one should definitely visit if they like visiting religious temples.

Ashtavinayak temples are one of the most significant temples in Maharashtra. They are eight sacred temples dedicated to Bhagwan Ganesh, the most popular deity in India. These temples are located around Pune city and can be visited in two or three days. Among these temples, Chintamani Ganpati Temple Theur is an important one. About Chintamani Ganpati Temple Theur Chintamani Ganpati Temple Theur is the fifth temple to be visited per the traditional sequence of the AshtavinayakYatra. It is located around 30 kilometers from Pune in the Haveli Taluka. The temple is at the union of River Bhima and the conjoint of rivers Mula and Mutha. History Of Chintamani Ganpati Temple Theur As far as historical records are concerned, there is no evidence of when the Theur Chintamani Ganpati temple was built and who the constructor was. Jay Ganesh! I've been here after years, emotional connect as usual and immediate! Temple and Idol - One of the Ashtavinayakas (8 famous Ganapati); Temple is historic and resembles alike wada. Bappas idol is pleasant and holistic. Noticeable cleanliness is there within premises. Crowd - Although we visited on a weekend after diwali, crowd is manageable and continuously moving. Also a devotee can spend some time in Gabhara. I have seen decent behaviour by the staff and pandit here. Parking - Well organised parking space near temple. Walkable distance and manageable too for elderly people. Overall, it was the best experience after so many years.

Location is good. Temple is beautiful. Road condition for last 2 KM is worst. Nearby Food stalls are comparatively costly.

Good Place. Well managed. If you are visiting on Chaturthi you would see some crowd but since its well managed would take less time for pilgrim.
