As a malayali, the park is a one man show. He did his best which leads to Limca book of records. The park is open for 1 hr and one time watchable. The caves, tree hut, bamboo tree house, the swings will hold back the kids. There are different kinds of birds, animals and aquatic animals that live openly in the nature and also showcases other ancient cultures that happend in our kerala history. If you want to spend a hour in a complete nature, just go for it.

It's really amazing to see a place like this. Had a wonderful experience by spending time in this beautifully crafted place of natural tourism spot. There is an entry fee not much high. This place is the result of hardwork of many people. You can see rabbits, dove, duck, large and rare fishes, caves, natural ponds with fresh water, the animals are not caged and they are human friendly. We can spend for almost 2hours in this place. There is no food option available in this place.

It was an unplanned visit to this place. The effort to retain this as a natural forest by Mr. Varkey Veliyath is highly commendable. There is a large Arapaima, Alligator Fish among other fishes and birds. A pax of 3 can pay ₹200/- and for any additional person it is ₹70/- Give it a shot while going towards Athirapilly water falls. People who love nature will be enjoy it.

totally unexpected ecosystem created from nowhere, thats Kauthuka Park. Its really well done by Mr.Varkey and its worth a visit with family and kids! The owner has brilliant knowledge and visitor must try to talk to him to gather full info so that your visit is complete. The entry tickets are nominally charged and has immense parking space. The road to this location is well maintained and is easy to spot due to the signages fixed around.

It’s a place where everyone can visit one time. When u go there u can see the hard work of a man for 18 years. He made a forest with caves and can find pigeons hens rabbits etc walking around us. U will find cold climate inside the forest. Many surprises and experiments u will find there if u visit. Just visit once

Giving it a 5-star rating! I visited this beautiful place after my college buddy's wedding. If you're a nature enthusiast, you must come here. It was created by a nature-loving person right behind his home, and I must say his hard work has paid off. I was alone and had traveled a long distance, but he graciously allowed me in for Rs. 100 ♥️. They offer a package for three people at Rs. 250. You can take lots of photos, videos, and selfies. There are even treehouse huts that are really nice.

Kauthuka park is located near Chalakudy. Take the left turn just before the science park compound. It's basically a private property owned by Shri Varkey. He converted the place to a wonderful nature. This serene place is developed in a way that people can enjoy the healing power of nature. This park has a collection of plants and trees. Old utensils and agricultural appliances are also displayed. Varieties of fishes, birds rabbits, hen, guiny pigs, swan, turkey etc are there. A nominal entry fees is charged for maintenance of park.

It's a small park featuring a 'man made eco system' - one of a kind place. If you are travelling between Coimbatore and Cochin, this place is not much off the course. A must visit. The ticket prices could be little lower though. (It was Rs.50 per head when we went there). But still it's worth a visit. We had a good time there.

It was a really fantastic place for all of us, this was one of the best tourist spots I have ever seen in my entire life. The amount of hardwork put into it was baffling and wonderful. As a person who came here for vacation from Dubai, it was one of the rarest things I have seen. From the animals to the architecture it was absolutely beautiful and fantastic.

Great place to visit for a family especially with kids in terms of a short visit. Can spend an hour or 2 walking around the property. They have created as its name suggests a small "kauthukam" out of the available land in forest theme with 2-3 tiny pond full of fishes, small caves ways, tree houses, walking tree and some pet animals like hamsters, ducks, hens, cocks, bunny, pigeon etc. The family has maintained the place well. The cost for 3 adults and one kid was Rs.150 in total.

70 RS. For adults per head. Not worth for that charge. Before the tour guide will explain too many things , most of them not usefull. Few fishes, Dove, chiken, duck and rabbits. Nothing more as animals. Everything is artificial. Only attractive thing in my opinion is a tree which we can climb. If you are planning this go to the near by "Kerala State Science and Technology Museum / Regional Science Center Chalakudi". Went there with expectation and came with empty hands.

For families and childrens, this is the best place to spend good amount of time to enjoy natural environment with motivational ideas. Only one thing I don't like is the entry fees. That is overpriced.

The atmosphere of the park keep us calm. Its a place owned by a person. He had created an artificial forest or nature for animals and birds. We can sit there and relax and enjoy the beauty of nature. Rabbits, doves, ducks, fish etc are inhabiting there freely like in a forest. Its like a beautiful place with trees, pond, swing. High expectation need to be avoided. A positive vibe place in 1 acre of land. The ticket rate felt a bit expensive.

This is a nice farm to visit which is almost 40 Kms away from Kochi Town.It is suitable for nature lovers where we can see different types of birds starting from Peacock, pigeon and variety of chickens and turkeys. This farm was designed by Mr Varkey Veliyeth in 1.5 acres of land. I would recommend the parents to bring their children to such small park rather than restricting to only shopping malls.

  • 3/5 G Y. 3 years ago on Google
A unique park with limited maintainance, They developed the park in a small piece of land, only attraction is 4-5 trees which roots are 5-10 fttall and the plant starts from there and they call it as walking trees. nothing adventurous nor wowfull, can find some rabbits peegions and hens n fish. Location in the maps I sin corrects need to proceed further for half a kilometre ahead.

This is a forest built by a person and it is no less than a real forest. The same atmosphere as a forest with lot of trees and animals except wild animals. Mr. Varkey guided us throughout the entire duration. Its a real gem of a place. It makes us believe that where there is a will there is a way and it is possble to live in tandem with the environment without destructing it. It has different varieties of pigeon, hens, fishes, guinea pigs, rabbit, etc. The walking bamboo is a major attraction. Hats off to the Mr. Varkey for creating this marvel. You have to visit this place atleast once to feel it. It's close to the National Highway on the way to Trissur.

A place one should take children to - parents and schools alike. To see so many ducks, geese, rooster/hen families, rabbits and hamsters in the open is a great experience. Built across an acre single-handedly over two decades, this is one man - Mr Varkey Veliyath's passion. He's also built a bat sanctuary, self sustaining trees, put waste pipes and roof tiles to use, built tree houses and caves, it's an experience of how living close to nature used to be. It's heartening to see that the efforts are well recognised by the government too. Must visit place!

Good place to visit. The climate is relatively cool due to the trees surrounding. Entry fee was Rs. 70 per head when we visited. Good to visit with family. A wide variety of plants and animals are kept within the park in a very eco-friendly manner. There are provisions for kids to play and I would say that it's th definitely worth visiting this place at least once when you are nearby.
