One of the best resort I have visited till now, Great staff who knew how to serve the customer. The rooms were well equipped and the service was excellent. The location is absolutely perfect, very clean and clear pool water, kids had their best day ! For elderly people a very good place to relax and chill. The scenery was beautiful and it was a relieve to walk in such a quiet and peaceful environment. I must say the location of the resort is at best place of Ottapalam, The supervisors were very friendly and supportive, they made our visit more comfortable and enjoyable. The Owner himself was very caring with his generous hospitality. All respect for him who does a great job here. Excellent hospitality !!!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Kalappura and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed. The property gives the guests a taste of the old-world charm and elegance with an ambiance that is unparalleled. Here one can truly retreat to an olden age or rather the golden age along with all the modern amenities one would expect from a luxury resort. The property is impeccably clean and well-maintained, with attention paid to every detail. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with unique features and decorations that reflect’s the heritage. The staff were friendly and accommodating, providing excellent service throughout my stay. The Farmhouse is also ideal for hosting functions, with ample space and facilities to accommodate large groups. Whether you're looking to host traditional functions or corporate retreats, the heritage farmhouse is the perfect venue. Overall, I would highly recommend Kalappura to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat from the bustle of city life. The experience of staying in a beautifully restored ancestral house is truly unique, and the modern amenities and exceptional service make for a truly memorable stay. The value for money is excellent, and I would definitely return for another visit.

A perfect location to get away from the hustle and bustle of city. Beautiful views with great rooms and friendly staff ! They are perfect for staycation with toddlers as well. Thank you for a memorable stay. We came back to celebrate our daughters first birthday . The beautiful lawn was the perfect setting for our safari themed birthday party. The staff were fantastic and ready to help with whatever we needed. We’ll be back for more 😊

The traditional style of rooms and common area and the expansive Eco green surroundings with coconut and palm trees were really refreshing and energizing. The hospitality and warmth extended by Mr. Govind and his staff made it feel like a home away from home. We were fortunate to see animals like elephant, horse and variety of pedigree dogs and were amazed by the love and care shown to them by the owner and his staff.

Wonderful place to stay! We stayed for a night while on a cycling tour. The house is beautiful, with the luxurious rooms of a five star hotel, yet with the welcome and personal touches of a homestay. And discussing with the owner makes it extra special. I’d recommend a walk around the village, a visit to the woods and fields, a swim, and breakfast on the upstairs terrace.

This is a wonderful guest house, beautifully designed and full of interesting antiques. The host and staff are so friendly and helpful. They arranged an elephant experience with their huge but friendly bull elephant and the host guided us in a walk around their extensive and beautiful land. We arranged a traditional 'samba' meal served on a banana leaf - thoroughly delicious. The rooms are spacious and beautifully appointed. Swimming pool also great. 5 stars - would love to visit again.

One of the most beautifully kept home stays that I have been to in Kerala. Everything is designed so tastefully and the amenities and overall place is a perfect amalgamation of both traditional and modern design. If you are looking for an escape from the madness, this is absolutely the place for you. Calm and serene is what you will experience. The staff are awesome and the owners Mr and Mrs Govind are absolutely wonderful and warm people. They went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting God's own country.

It is a very quiet place to spend a few days with the family or even alone. Everything is surrounded by nature. The owner is very friendly and hospitable. He makes you feel at home. They serve delicious food in his living room. I will repeat for sure.

It's a perfect place for a weekend getaway with family. Kids will love this place, lot of place to run around, play with the pets and especially the swimming pool. Wonderful hospitality and the staffs are very friendly. Kalapura is more like a heritage home that gives you nostalgic feeling. You can enjoy the greenery. Rooms are all luxurious and well maintained. They have tree houses. Next time thought of spending some time in the tree house. I will recommend this to my friends and colleagues. Thanks

A perfect retreat for all those who are looking to disconnect from the hustling city life and reconnect with nature. I visited this property with my friends and it turned out to be no less than a safe piece of haven for all 35 of us, wherein we could relax and rejuvenate. The house is gorgeous, brimming with old world charm but with all modern luxuries. I loved the fact that the garden was mainly comprised of native flora. You will be amazed by the numerous butterflies πŸ¦‹ flying all around you. The staff is brilliant and is there to do everything possible to make you feel home. The food is lip-smacking good. The host Govindan is so warm and friendly. Absolutely recommend it.

Recently I had the pleasure of spending a day with friends at this beautiful property. The resort is housed in a 100 year old traditional bungalow with heritage architecture. Rooms are neat and clean, quiet spacious with a traditional ambiance and antique furniture. There is a swimming pool surrounded by greenery, a perfect place to unwind and cool off. Though kitchen is not there, any kind of food will be arranged at short notice from their own 4 star hotel just outside side the resort. A good place to spend with your family and friends.

A delightful place to stay set in lovely butterfly filled gardens. The owner was very welcoming and arranged a couple of walks for us. One taking us through the local village to his paddy fields where we watched a peacock displaying. Another to visit a match and brush factory. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. The room comfortable. The swimming pool lovely.

Extraordinary place. Exemplary service. Excellent stay Initially when we were having discussions as to where to conduct my bachelor’s party, not many places came to my mind. Later when i heard about this place and went and saw the property in person, I fell in love with it. I and my friends had a great time at Kalappura. The ambience, rooms, pool and the infrastructure is so well maintained and managed. Will definitely visit again. Good luck team

An experience that would tickle your senses and evoke nostalgia. The air feels crisp and the positive atmosphere will charge you. The place is exquisitely done, with a beautiful pool tucked between the tall swaying arecnut trees. It has a homely feel that ensures you wind down and relax completely. The kids would love it here, the open wide spaces and the farm animals will keep those little inquisitive minds occupied. A must visit place.!

This treasure of a place in the midst of a beautiful kerala village will give you a holiday to remember. Filled with well chosen antiques and the gorgeous woodwork, this place will make you feel like royalty. The quite and serene surroundings will take you back to your roots. The owner has managed to strike a fine balance of luxury, comfort and simplicity. His passion for all things authentic shines through in each and every little thing in the resort. The food was just delicious, home cooked with fresh seasonal veggies. My toddler had a lot of fun exploring around property and seeing all the farm animals. The place is great for big groups, since Kalappura has a huge common dining area and an upstairs sitting area. The wooden stairs are one of my favourites. It would also suit someone for a long stay to explore surrounding areas & for someone looking for a good down time away from a busy city. It surely is a place that can give you the right space and ambience to think, write or recharge your creative side of the brain.

Kalappura is a gem of a resort. I travelled internationally with some friends to have my wedding reception in the area and we stayed here for the duration of our visit. I can’t imagine a better experience. The lodgings are an incredible example of cultural architecture with all the modern amenities one could want. The attention to detail that went into the decor is astounding, from the hand painted floor tiles to the carved elephant heads at the base of the stairs. It felt like staying in an ancestral home from another era while also having access to comfortable air conditioned bedrooms, luxury bathrooms, and a pool. The hospitality was incredible. We enjoyed every meal we had there, especially the fresh juices we were offered during breakfast. We can’t wait to visit again.

You cannot plan a trip to India without stopping by Kalappura Farm House. If you are looking for a comfortable stay, impeccable service, and traditional feel, Kalappura Farm House is the place for you. The owner's passion and love for this beautiful home was made obvious upon setting foot inside of it. There were many things to do right on the property, from visiting the animals on property to looking at the scenery right outside your window. The food was exceptional, and the staff does everything in their power to make sure you're comfortable. The owner was incredibly kind and willing to make sure my group and I had the perfect stay. I was lucky enough to spend many nights here, and I absolutely will be stopping in again in the future.

We hosted an event at Kalapura and it was very well executed. From table arrangements to food quality. I would especially call out the excellent service by staff and property owners. They took into account everyone’s comforts. The property itself is gorgeous - an escape to a bygone era with a modern touch. I especially enjoyed a swim in the pool which had exceptionally beautiful views. Surrounded by pines, gazing at the night sky above. A surreal experience indeed. 5 stars from me!

I have no words to convey how fantastic our stay was, at Kalappura Farmhouse! As someone who loves travel and has been all over the world, it was a happy surprise to discover this gem of a place so close to home. I stayed here for 8 days and every single one of them was wonderful. The house itself, the grounds, the rooms, the staff, the service, the owner who went above and beyond to ensure that we were comfortable, all of it was exemplary. I can’t wait to go back! Highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a traditional Kerala experience that doesn’t compromise on modern comforts.

Recently we had spent 2 days at Kalappura Farm House. We had a very pleasant happy stay there. The place has a beautiful ambience with plenty of greenery, and ancestral farmhouse, well maintained farm, play area and swimming pool. But what stole our hearts was the hospitality of the staff. We felt as the we were staying with close family members. To crown or this the place is very economic o. We left with definite plans to come again. I would strongly recommend this place for small get togethers and definitely for just rejuvenating yourself.
