Think twice before signing a lease here. These apartments were decent a few years ago, but lately issues have been ignored. The trash compactor has been broken for 3 weeks and now trash is rotting outside my apartment. There are gnats everywhere and they've made their way into my apartment. Aside from this they took over a month to fix storage units that were broken into, resulting in my stuff being stolen twice!! The elevator is also currently broken and has been broken for about a month. You would think the rent here would be cheap with the amount of issues there are but they are charging me a mortgage to live in a one bedroom. Seriously, consider living somewhere. This place has gone downhill.

I would give maintenance 5 stars because Sam and the other guy have been so great!! But not a big fan of this place and moved out after 12 months. The elevators seem to take forever sometimes. There’s/was a homeless camp behind the property with broken glass while you walk around - so if you’re looking to bring a pet - I’d probably think about this. There’s also been non-residents that have been able to gain access to the property and attempted to break into the vehicles in the garage. When I moved in, my unit wasn’t completely ready, although I recognize there was a delay in receiving new appliances. When it was time to provide notice, I reached out and asked if there was an agreement we could work on if I provided early notice. I understand what’s written in the lease, but the leasing agent provided me an alternative solution we could agree on outside of what’s noted in the lease, and then this was retracted. After that, I turned in my keys early JUST to find out that I could have had my unit potentially released even earlier - an option that was never disclosed to me until it was too late. I know this is part of my review probably doesn’t make too much sense without the full context but overall, it wasn’t a very pleasant experience. Edit: I was reached out to by the property manager asking me for feedback and asked if there was anything they could do to give me 5-star service. I provided my feedback and only one aspect of my feedback was responded to with the other just providing an explanation why their team miscommunicated with me throughout my move-out process.

Maintenance requests always completed very efficiently and they do a great job! I like living in this nice neighborhood in such a clean and quiet community. Great amenities too. Office staff and maintenance/janitorial staff very friendly, neighbors in the building friendly as well. Nice view from the roof and I like the gym and their equipment. I live in a courtyard facing room which is very peaceful.

Kayla is a leasing consultant. She is extremely knowledgeable and very quick to respond with any leasing question. She almost always picks up the phone and provide the answer you need. Quick email response as well. Extremely polite and will never rush you. THANK you Kayla!

I want to correct my review. If you are a single mom I suggest you read but it is my personal experience . Pratt park apartment and its staff are amazing and they have remained amazing over the years. Now that I'm a single mom of two young kids ages 1 and 3(who are barely home and only spend only one overnight with me due to coparenting schedules ) living here for a second time (different floor) my neighbors ? Not so much this go round. Before this year my experience at Pratt very much felt like the definition of home, it's the reason I felt It was the perfect decision to come back. If you are a single female with young kids and maybe under 30 l personally would take caution but read why because it is not the entire building!! My neighbors on my old floor use to come out of their apartments just to say hello to my son if they ever heard him leaving out. They offered to watch my kids if me and my fiancé (at the time) ever needed help and they themselves helped in ways I wish I could thank them for. On my new floor returning as a single mother a neighbor has tried to black mail me into making my kids be quite even tho at the time working overnight , kids home overnight only twice a week, overtime 72+ hours. It speaks for it self they were not home very much throughout the week. (He was unsuccessful) most recently a neighbor left a note on my door accusing my kids of making a mess (I will add a picture down below of the "mess") in the main hallway (my door is on the left) though my kids had not been home in days. With a ring camera to prove it they weren't even home during the time. Had she approached the situation with ANY kind of kindness no matter who's responsibility I would not have minding picking up anything in the hall. noted that the apartments have a crew that regularly vacuum. At this time my kids are only home 2 days out of the week , 1 of those days being over night. The pressure from the neighbors has added to that. Living here is definitely now uncomfortable. I ALMOST wish I would have never come back. Maybe then my last memory of this place would have been really motivating and positive. BUT almost doesn't count. I won't let them run me off and the staff have NOT treated me badly! My 1 year old doesn't speak yet , My 3 year old is nonverbal and special education (pending autism evaluation) that alone is already a battle. I do my best but I cannot simply make two small toddles just be quite. The staff are not hostile or bias towards me for having kids, we have really peaceful roof top especially at night, etc. So I will take the wins along side the losses. It is a high chance you will have a similar encounter to my first time here. A lot of the residence are really nice. We live in the city. Similar to all city apartments we will hear sirens at any and all hours of the nights, people screaming in the road. Why they moved to any place in the city not expecting noise? well I'm just not sure. But if you start to have similar issues I suggest what I did, but a ring camera and talk to the staff about it if you need to. More than likely you may just love your neighbors . Ps :yes that is the so called mess she said is "disgusting ", yes if u guessed it that is just lint. No I did not alter this to make it look like less than there was. Yes kindness is still free

Update: It's been 2 months since moving in, and I still retain the same opinion about the apartment; everything is mostly great. Tay the apartment manager is also great. However, I need to drop the apartment to 4 stars for an unfortunate issue: the walls are THIN, or at least I don't have any insulation between my bedroom and my neighbors. I can practically hear their kids anytime they play in the apartment. And I'm certainly not going to complain about that to management about kids being kids. So if such a factor is an issue for you, then sadly you'll want to look elsewhere unless Pratt Park looks into soundproofing the walls better. Original: This is only my 2nd apartment I've lived in and I only moved in about 3 weeks ago, but I have already had a much more pleasant experience compared to my previous apartment. Management staff is VERY quick to reply and there usually feels like there's someone on campus which is a huge plus for me. Weekends can be a little bit harder to get in contact with someone but that makes sense as I imagine more staff are off on the weekend. Maintenance staff is fantastic, especially Sam. In one instance on a Saturday, I needed keys to help the IP guy get into the internet room and couldn't reach the maintenance line. I texted Sam out of desperation and didn't realize he was off that day. He still texted back and managed to help me get the keys. I would like to state I don't expect the office staff to help me on their days off and wouldn't say you should expect that either, but it was a huge relief that day as that was the 3rd time I was trying to get Astound to set up my internet. The grounds, roof top, and amenities are all clean. The roof top has an amazing view and I personally feel it's the best amenity. Halls always smell good and appear to be clean. Parking for tenants so far has seemed secure and well managed. Cars that appear to have been abandoned have tow notices and nobody ever appears to abuse special parking areas, like loading zones and such. I have yet to notice any crime due to the gated structure but then again I also keep the inside of my car clean. The area surrounding the apartment is quiet. I don't have too much to comment on this aspect though as it's out of the apartment's hands. I really don't have any complaints so far. I'll come back and update my review if I ever encounter anything troublesome, but I can't really knock anything on this place so far.

It was really nice touring Pratt Park my friends live here and they recommended this place, the studio unit is pretty big and it’s very quiet on the hallways! The 3 rooftops are probably my favorite Kayla from the leasing office was so helpful with all the options I can get.

I was looking for MFTE units and this is the only apartment complex that toured me to their apartment or community even if they don’t have the units available the leasing consultant Kayla was so helpful and super sweet. She gave me some tips on how mfte process works, keeping an eye on the apartment for mfte availability because I would totally love to live here!

I have been living here for over a year and am so sad to be moving out of this building. As someone who has working in Seattle property management I can say every single person on the maintenance team, the property manager and Tay walker go above and beyond for their residents and follow the king county/wa rental guidelines. They are top notch and if I could I would take them with me as I leave Seattle. Great Experience! 👍

The property manager at the time named Chandra made me get rid of my dog. Not pet friendly. This was a devastating and traumatizing life experience that I’ve never recovered from. I’m sure the place is run differently now. At least hopefully.

Exceptional management from Theresa the PM and Kayla. Halls are kept clean, understanding human conversations about rent and just amazing atmosphere. So grateful after living on 3rd in downtown Seattle :)

I’ve lived at Pratt Park for over a month and this has been my favorite apartment thus far in Seattle. The rent costs are actually reasonable here (they do not try to rob you of all your money) and the apartments are huge. I love that we live next to a park and I can bring my dog there every day without feeling unsafe (I carry around pepper spray just in case though). Joseph, our leasing agent, was super friendly and easily reachable when I had a lot of questions during the leasing process. The maintenance team is very quick to respond/fix any issues. The rooftop views are gorgeous! The only con is sometimes the elevators break down so if you live on a higher floor, you’ll be getting a workout in (not fun if you just got back from Costco or have a heavy dog that shouldn’t be doing stairs).

I'm giving this property 5 stars because of the staff that works here, but not the building (yet). Since I've lived here (April, 2023), I've seen the staff completely turnover (except for R'Montay, who has been the one constant holding things down through the chaos). It's clear that the staff that now works here (Valentina, Starling, Joseph, Kurt, Devan, and R'Montay) inherited some pretty severe property issues, and that they've improved things A LOT in the short 1-6 months (respectively) that they've been here. It's been impressive to see the way they have handled when the building is working against them (i.e. inheriting broken elevators, broken amenities, poorly maintained/out of date units, etc.) and the staff still remains steadfast and kind. I've never seen property managers, maintenance crews, and a custodial person with Pratt Parks' level of dedication, friendliness, accommodation, and patience. I've lived in several apartment buildings in San Francisco, Oakland, and Seattle, and these people really are just the best I've seen. I used to work as a management consultant for fortune 500 companies, so observing staff culture is one of my toxic habits. Nonetheless, it's been impressive to watch each staff member through my time here. Starling came in, ramped up extremely quickly, started improving property conditions, offered support to the rest of the staff, created an approachable yet firm relationship with resident complaints, and uplifted the team around him. The team he put together that's working here now is much more efficient, competent, and effective than the previous teams. R'Montay weathered through all of the staffing changes and was the only person at multiple points during the last 6 months that knew anything about property policies, billing, unit availability, MFTE availability, and maintenance statuses for a solid few months before Starling was placed here. I watched R'Montay train his past co-workers, do his job, and the job of 3+ other people. He also seems to be a tenant favorite. Kurt also came in hot. He joined maybe a month ago and already many maintenance tickets that I've been submitted have been addressed way faster than in the past. I also transferred units a few weeks ago, so I saw Kurt turn over my new apartment and my past apartment efficiently while also working with me to make sure I had time to move. I actually request more maintenance help now that Kurt is around because I have faith that it'll get done, whereas before, I'd just let things sit. From an upper management point of view, Kurt is a huge asset since it is in the property's best interest to have tenants WANT to file maintenance requests. This helps to prevent derelict building conditions. And finally, VALENTINA. LORD JESUS PROTECT THAT WOMAN AT ALL COSTS. VALENTINA seems to be the only custodial person in the entire freaking building (which I hope changes soon) and she's been HOLDING IT THE FREAK DOWN. On weekends, when she's not here, the building conditions really suffer. I know when she's working because the second she's out of the building, you start running into smells, puddles, trash, and other things that you otherwise never see during the week. HOW DOES SHE DO IT? HOW DOES SHE SINGLEHANDEDLY CLEAN THE ENTIRE FREAKING BUILDING EVERY DAY? She's also just a joy. Big fan. Big fan of Valentina. Thank you Valentina. Pratt Park upper leadership/secure properties upper leadership: Y'all got really lucky with this current team. Please don't do anything that would make any of them want to leave. The building and the tenants will suffer greatly. Your reviews will tank. Your profits will dive. And I will be very sad. Please offer motivational compensation to the staff that works here and also approve of big building purchases that the team recommends. They know what they're doing and they really care about us and the building. Respectfully, Secure Properties: please don't mess this up for us.
