Me and my son just finished the 3 basic keelboat courses from WindWorks and had a great experience. I had Mike and Nancy for my instructors and I enjoyed working with both of them. Different personalities, different ways to handle situation, but both great instructors. They really know sailing and after completing my classes, I felt confident to take a boat out with my son. The boats are amazing to train in. They're gorgeous ships and kept clean and tidy. The marina is very nice and the location that you train in is great. There are lots of other boats around which at first makes you nervous, but it really helps you learn right of way and maneuvering. Class size is small. 4 student max per boat. You get plenty of time to practice your maneuvers. If you get a membership with WindWorks, they have great perks like Thursday night sail races that you can join to gain further experience as well as options to link up with other members and sail with.

I've had a great experience receiving sailing instruction at Windworks from Bill. The quality of hands on experience is fantastic and has prepared me for responsibility in future sail outings. Highly recommended.

I took many different classes at Windworks Sailing, but keep learning and sharpening my skills with every next class thanks to the wide variety of available classes and many instructors with different teaching styles. I am especially thankful to Victor Evans who was my instructor on the Catamaran endorsement course. He is great at explaining things, giving clear instructions and making sure I understand it. At the same time he let me explore and handle the boat at my own pace with a great patience when I make mistake and try to correct it. I feel I became a much more confident sailor after my last class with Victor.

Spent two full days with #Windworks instructors (Gordon and Norm). Had a blast, learned a lot, and met some new people. Highly recommend Windworks if you're wanting to learn to sail. The instructors had very different teaching styles and approaches, but were equally effective at teaching the class what we needed to know.

I had a wonderful day taking BK1 with Victor as my instructor. Victor has a vast fund of knowledge for sailing and creates a great learning environment. His passion for sailing comes through in his teaching. I also appreciated the small class size (four students). I highly recommend this class if you have an interest in learning to sail, you learn a lot in your first day!

I was in the market for a new 32' sailboat this fall. I checked all the local Seattle dealers, and they had no inventory, only boats on order with no definite delivery date. I did some research and found out I liked the Catalina models, made in America. I made an appointment with Windworks Yacht sales, Mark Evans. I made a deal with them and ordered a new 315 to be delivered in 2023. In February I received a call from Mark at Windworks and he had a less than one year old 315 available, it is like new. It was loaded with extras and after an inspection of the boat and test sail I made an offer. The purchase was flawless and Windworks returned the deposit on the new boat before the closing of the used 315.Their honest approach to take care of the customer and get me a boat a year earlier was just honest business, they saved me thousands of dollars. Windworks sales crew Mark, Victor and Karolee are 1st class people to deal with. They are quick to give you an answer about all your boat related questions. A 1st class broker offering quality boats with that personal touch you just don't get anymore.

I finished my first Basic Keelboat class and I am so happy I did it. Windworks was great and they have an excellent little fleet of boats. My instructor Gordon was incredibly patient, knowledgeable and above all fun to be around. We had an amazing time on the water. Can't wait for Keelboat 2!

Victor and the Windworks family are truly amazing. Victor guided me through the boat buying process and was always responsive and professional. He made the entire process a wonderful experience. He is also a thoroughly capable and experienced sailor. I cannot recommend him and Windworks enough!

My wife and I took the Basic Keelboating 1 course to begin learning how to sail and make progress toward a sailing license, which will require 2 more 8-hour courses. Our instructor, Victor Evans, was very knowledgeable and patient, and helped us clearly understand how the boat was sailing, and how to effectively perform both a tack and a jibe maneuver including which instructions we should provide to the crew, and which actions we should perform as skipper. After a day of sailing, we have scheduled our Basic Keelboating 2 course and look forward to becoming licensed and spending more time on the water.

Windworks has some of the best sailing instructors to be found anywhere -- people with deep practical experience and fastidious knowledge of the areas they teach. Gordon Bitter, Eulalie Sullivan, Victor Evans, Eric Jonsen, and Margaret Pommert are all outstanding. As someone with a little bit of a sailing background, my time at Windworks culminating in their Coastal Passage Making class has truly taken me to another level in my ability and confidence to get out and safely navigate in all manner of conditions to all manner of destinations. If you're starting out or pushing yourself further with sailing or powerboating I can't recommend enough getting professional instruction at Windworks.

I've been sailing with Windworks for a little over a year now and can not say enough good things about this club. I came in with very little sailing experience with small boats on Lake Washington and had a desire to step up my knowledge to Puget Sound sailing on larger cruisers and had little interest in owning one (for a while, at least). I took their US Sailing Basic Keelboat and Basic Cruising courses and a couple of clinics before deciding to jump all-in as a Windworks Club member so that I could get access to discounts on additional classes and clinics, and to their excellent fleet of well-maintained cruising sailboats. I've now completed Bareboat Cruising and Navigation & Piloting courses, participated in their Spring Tides sail to the San Juan Islands, and have just been having a blast on the beautiful Puget Sound waters with friends and family. Everyone from the front office to the instructors and dock crews are professional and truly committed to their members' safe enjoyment of boating. One thing to know about their US Sailing courses - they do not "teach the test" like some other shops. My experience with Sailing Director Patrick Najou is that he can be tough but he is a tremendous wealth of knowledge who puts safety first and wants to make damn sure that his students know their stuff. Will Rodman has an incredible talent for sail trim, practical seamanship, and rough weather handling that is a huge benefit to his students, Giorgio Pompei is a clear, concise instructor with the patience of a saint. If you want to sail, this club can definitely get you there, whatever your starting point or end goal.

Just completed my 8th class with Windworks - Bareboat Cruising. This was an excellent overnight sailing class taught by Jon Fritzberg, one of the best instructors I've met. Jon set a great tone in the class: Super patient, asked great questions to ensure we all got time on areas we felt needed more attention, and provided very insightful instruction. Well done, Windworks and Jon! Highly recommended.

Awesome experience, 10/10 would recommend. Booked a sunset sail cruise and went out for 2 hours on the sound. The instructor, John, was such a nice guy and gave us tons of information on how the boat operated. I even got to steer the ship for a little! If I lived in Seattle, I'd totally come back for lessons.

I am a member of Windworks. We recently purchased a Catalina 28. The club was very helpful every step of the way. We worked with Victor Evans. Victor is a phenomenal resource. We now have a friend as my wife and I enter the world of sailboat cruising! I highly recommend Victor and the Windworks.
