Edited to add: I don't understand "people" who leave terrible reviews & then make it personal by questioning others' positive reviews. Everything out there is going to cost a lot more because of INFLATION & fast-approaching RECESSION. Instead of nitpicking price, be grateful these family-run businesses are still around, giving us authentic, great tasting food. I, for one, think Dumpling Generation makes the BEST soup dumplings & fried rice for the money ever. I'm more than full after. Better than Din Tai Fung. There. I said it. I don't know what's in the fried rice, soupy dumplings & dipping sauces, but count me in. They cut breast of chicken in strips in the fried rice that look like noodles. No sinew. No cheap cuts. Best I've ever had. Unique, vegan-friendly dishes & attentive, personable staff, too.

Edit: My bad, I misunderstood the sign; updated my rating. Thank you! Had the Pork and Cabbage Dumplings and Chicken Chow Mein. the Chow Mein was delicious! The dumplings were also good, but I wish they were fresh. The sign when you walk in says "dumplings frozen, pork buns frozen". I will return again!

First time going here. The pork buns were HUGE and delicious. The shrimp pork and chive dumplings were hot and juicy. We also got the chicken chow mien. Normally I don't enjoy chicken in my chow mien because they're such big chunks, but they actually cut the chicken to smaller portions so you can get a little bit of everything in each bite. We had a wonderful time, thank you :)

Juciest dumplings in the region! Always quick and curteous! Add the chili sauce and vinegar for real feel. Cold dishes and other offerings are also delish! Dumplings are the hit here. Put some in your pocket for later as you'll wish you had...

Best Chinese dumpling and buns in Seattle!!! We got the vegan dumpling and it had so much filling inside with carrot, vermicelli, tofu and other veggies! The owner was super friendly, great experience overall!

The first thing I noticed was the pristine cleanliness. Even the corners of the floor by the entrance door were spotless. Service was fast and efficient; a large pot of perfectly brewed Jasmine tea arrived quickly. My husband ordered the chicken chow mein, I ordered vegetarian dumplings, and we split the best fried rice we've ever eaten. I never expected to eat 6 of the dumplings! They were so delicious that I couldn't stop. My husband said, "We've got to come back here!" Its a little hard to find, but well worth the effort.

This is one of the best restaurant in our area. Has consistent great service. Yes, like many restaurant during pandemic, wait time is an issue. Please do not listen to the propaganda driven postings by students of certain country. These kids simply do not understand difficulties of running a small Asian own business in America…keep you chin up Dumpling Generation! Best beef noodle soup in town!

I love the dumplings at Dumpling Generation. The workers pride themselves in making good food and have such a nice environment. I am Chinese and never felt any racism from the owner and the people who work there. I hope the other reviews can stop bullying the owner and her restaurant, because of an incident that started from a small group who were upset that they couldn’t dine in after 8pm. As an Asian with friends who are Asian as well, I always tell them to come before 8pm to respect the restaurant. They were always welcome to come before the 8pm deadline. Please can we have peace from everyone. Bullying and hating on others doesn’t solve the problem, it only makes it worse and hurt more. Also remember that there are other workers who work there full-time to provide for their families. It is sad to see people writing comments to break down a business when there are other individuals who need to financially support themselves.

Wow! Flavor explosion. We ordered dumplings, beef noodle soup, cold dish beef tendon, and eggplant pork dish. All were so delicious. All the flavors were very balanced. The auntie here is so friendly. Great service. The food made me feel like I was starving for a year. I ate until I was too full. 10/10 recommend and will return in the future.

I’ve found my new favorite place to eat vegan dumplings and hot noodle soup with fresh veggies & soft tofu. The place is kind of hidden, but amazing. It’s a family owned restaurant with welcoming staff. The Auntie and Uncle here are so friendly. I was also happy to learn that they make all their noodles in the house. It tasted delicious. Space is neatly maintained with easy order placing options. Everything tasted just the way we wanted. I wish they made vegetarian wonton soup too. Would be great. :) Definitely can't wait to come back here. Planning to try vegetarian hot pot or spicy tofu next time.

TLDR: Potato salad. Marinated Beef. Word. Located in a small "plaza" so parking is very limited! More of a cafe-like setting but you are seated and place orders at the table. Complimentary "sampler" plate of seaweed salad, cold noodles, and marinated beansprouts once you place your order. So it's a bit pointless if you order these as appetizers since you will get them anyways. But, if you do happen to order them, they may switch out the samplers with something else you didn't order. Dumplings: they are tasty but honestly are nothing to die for. I think the dumpling wrap is a bit on the thick side. Marinated Beef: very tasty! It's a cold dish consisting of tender marinated beef slices sprinkled with fresh chopped garlic and cilantro. A must try appetizer! Spicy Pig Ear: cold dish consisting of thin pig ear slices marinated in spicy sauce. This dish has a bit more kick of spice than the potato salad. Spicy Potato Salad: thin cold potato slices marinated in spicy sauce. You can handle this spice, I promise. If you haven't read my reviews before: I'm super spice intolerant and this dish has a kick but doesn't make my mouth feel like the devil in the summer. I really like this appetizer.

I don’t leave many reviews online, but this place is so good, that I have to. If you want authentic, homestyle, Northern Chinese dumplings, and delicious hot tea, this is your place! I love each and every dish I’ve tried here. The egg and chive dumplings taste exactly like my Northern Chinese mother-in-law’s. Whenever I miss my family in China, I can come here and feel a little closer to them. And all of the noodle dishes here are delicious! The restaurant is extremely clean, and the owner and employees are warm, attentive, and inviting. I absolutely recommend this restaurant!

I went yesterday because they had vegan dumplings on the menu. They were so good and the tea was really good too, I drank about 4 pots. I believe It's family style, so 12 dumplings for 20$, most dishes were large and about 20-25$. I ask the lady working, who I believe was the owner, what other vegan options they had and it sounded like about one option from every category, noodles, soup, dumpling, etc. They were so nice and it was really good, I'll be going again for sure.

I still remember about 4 months ago, the owner are concerned about Customers complaining and later assaulted one of their employee for requesting them to pick Steamed Dishes and Cold Dishes at 8:30PM, where store close at 9:00PM. Most store stop serving close to 1 hours ago for the fairness to Customers and Staff members, you can't expect staff to create high quality Dishes without a Fixed Schdule. Anyway, where can you find Beef Dumplings that are cooked perfectly? A little pink like the picture shown are one of the sign how well it being prepared, it is handcrafted by hand not by machine like most stores. Not serving starch filled ones to customers, can tell by it not being brown. If you say They use Presevatives? Then come and order one beef dumpling and test it with your own tongue. I surely you will regret. There are a person commented " Hope the store owner learn their lesson" at the lowest rating comment, he/she is affiliated to some other bussiness.

Each of the dish we ordered came in generous portion. Dumplings and noodles are chewy/bouncy and delicious as usual. Those are must have. We tried the pork belly pot for the first time. It’s braised pork belly with napa cabbage and vermicelli. All of us liked it a lot. We are already thinking about what to order the next time. Service

We had the pork, shrimp & chives steamed dumplings. Braised pork belly with eggplant. A bit pricey. Dumplings were delicious. Came out very hot, so be careful. Pork belly was good, but not worth the price.

Just got back from here with some leftovers. First time visitors and we'll definitely both be coming back again! The gentleman that served us was extremely kind and courteous and seemed very genuine with his helpfulness. The place was very clean and well kept, I didn't have to wipe down any dishes or cups with my paper towel like I do at most places, there were no unwanted flavours in my water (which I know is a low bar but is worth mentioning with how common it is!!), I also didn't feel crowded or too close to the other tables and guests. I got the Pineapple fried rice, +pork +chicken +shrimp +egg -peas and carrots My partner got the Pork fried rice, +pork +chicken +egg -vegetables Both got no-spice since it was our first time trying the food there. We both loved our food and had a great time here. I tried both dishes, his was savory and we both exclaimed aloud multiple times how tasty it was (which I also did with my own, he just liked his enough he didn't want to risk messing with the flavour pallet by trying mine :P) His would've gotten a little too salty for me over time but I also don't add salt to my food at home so I notice the flavour very well. It was still delicious and I would've happily devoured it, just with extra tea ^_^ Mine had that savory flavour as a good undertone but made me think of the flavour of his, plus sweet and sour chicken. The flavour was balanced really well and went well with the pineapple without being overly sweet or overshadowing the other flavours in the dish. The price on the receipt for the base Pork FR was 15$ and Pineapple FR was 16$. With +2$ for each add on (+3$ for the shrimp) it was 22$ for his and 24$ for mine before the tax/fees, which made it just barely over 50$ before the tip for the two of us to both have our fill of the tastiest and best fried rice we've had in a long time, in a very nice little restaurant, with extremely kind and genuine feeling staff. (A lot of places that have good fried rice have their base cost around 20$ anyways, I know that there are some places that are lower, but this was fantastic food and service and we'll still happily add all of those add ons next time and consider it a great price for great food.)

The prices are high but the portions are big and the quality is excellent. We got the tofu and cabbage, it was light, flavorful and authentic. The vegan dumplings are super good. The cold noodle salad was flavorful and spicy and was good to mix a few bites in with the other dishes. Definitely going back often. We arrived after 8pm so couldn’t dine in, but it was just as good take-out in the car.

Stumbled upon this restaurant by chance and was pleasantly surprised by the owner's generosity in providing numerous homemade side dishes. We tried their Dumplings, wontons, and noodles, and all of them were incredibly tasty with generous portions.Definitely coming back again!

I ordered pork, shrimp and chives dumpling, and pineapple fried rice. The dumplings were awesome. Fried rice was a little sweet even for spice level 4. Overall good food and feels home cooked and healthy though it was being served in a restaurant. Atmosphere and service was good. This was not a four course meal so did not expect a lot of service. I would love to go back to try other items on the menu!

Best braised beef noodle soup in the area, better than those Fung name brand restaurants. I have come here for many years and the taste has been consistent. Noodles are homemade and well made. It is well worth the price. The owner is friendly as well.

This is our favorite go-to for home style Chinese cooking. It’s authentic and the owners are the nicest people! We regularly dine in, take out, and order delivery. The food is consistently fantastic. 太好吃了! 谢谢☺️ (敬礼, 侯爱佳)

The very best Chinese food to be had! The dumplings are so delicious, and so is everything else I've eaten there: Spicy Tofu, Broccoli with Garlic, Colorful Salad, Spicy Noodles. It's all so good. The service is so nice and personal. The amphosphere is pleasant, though no frills.

Dumpling Generation is a culinary delight for lovers of authentic Northeastern Chinese cuisine. The welcoming servers enhance the dining experience, making every guest feel at home. The highlight is the food - especially the dumplings, which are crafted to perfection with a variety of delicious fillings. Each dish, from hearty stews to seasoned vegetables, is a testament to the restaurant's commitment to authenticity and quality. Despite a past unfounded attack, Dumpling Generation stands out for its exceptional service and cuisine, making it a must-visit destination for an unforgettable dining experience.

Who says only able to get a taste of SouthNorthern Chinese Dinning Habit in China? These Beef Dumplings and Pork and Chvies are the best for my appetite. And the chill sauce that they made with their own recipes just being the perfect match for dumplings. Please don't worry about my stomach, I usually eat one meal per day but I do agree I might be spoiling myself abit. 🤣🤣 Well, they also have Vegan Dumplings too. Which the owner let me tried one as she was shocked that I ordered two type for myself. Well, if you are equally craving for SotuhNorthern Chinese food like I do, I would totally recommend this store.
