    We always love to take our puppy to Petco. I have been a Petco customer since 2002, starting in Denver Colorado. We used to have a sheltie. She was only, 6 weeks old and passed when she was 13 years old 😥 we got a new Chihuahua-border terrier mix. She just turned 10 months old. She also loves to go to Petco. Thank you so much for providing such a great clean and friendly environment for our pets. We really appreciate it.😘❤️ Here are our two beautiful girls. God bless Hana in heaven and she's watching after her sister Shana.

    The Petco Grooming department was extraordinary! They did an amazing job trimming down Bailey’s winter coat. I’ve never seen her so happy. Four hours of well deserved pampering. Thank you.

    Do NOT buy any living creatures from this place. Don't do it. Supplies are fine every now and then. But don't expect this company to stock everything you need to keep exotic pets alive ...even tho they sell them...they will sell them and prepare you to neglect and under care for them. Because this is a money making machine. That's it. The staff are usually well-meaning, but often don't know what they're talking about. But this company does NOT care about the health of your pet, or of their animals. Go to a breeder or a reputable pet store. I highly recommend aquarium co-op in Edmonds or the Fish Store in lake city for fish. Or Hewitt reptile emporium in Everett for reptiles. All amazing, educational businesses that will help you learn how to care for your animal (in addition to your own research) As a reptile and fish keeper, trust me. Don't do it.

    The staff at this store are friends! My dog won't let me walk past it without going inside. (Unless they're closed, then she gets sad) we're welcomed by name every time we come in!

    I first went to PetCo in Shoreline on 205th street but They were out of Solidgold - Mighty Mini Salmon ! So I had the store (manager) call the Northgate store ! He said It was in stock ! So at the Northgate store, they reserved me a huge bag but it wasn’t the right one. So wondering around the huge store, I asked a store employee to help me out ! He was very helpful n said since they didn’t have the medium size bag I wanted, he would sell me 2 small bags the same price as a medium bag ! Thanks to his quick thinking ! I was happy n took up the offer !

    Great place for all your pet needs. The location is clean, neat and well designed for easy shopping. The staff was attentive without being pushy. The safety of the clients and staff is well attended to.

    I normally judge pet stores on how well their aquarium set ups are and whether the fish are healthy or not. This place seemed pretty good. We were there for some cat stuff which they had most of what we needed. They did seem to have a great selection of reptiles.

    Well they have a wonderful selection of items especially compared to PetSmart but 2 items that I was told was available in store were not so I didn't get them when I could have just added them to my free delivery items and gotten them as planned and since I didn't get those items my overall purchase wasn't as cheap cus I was using a promo that allowed me to get a discount. But otherwise they have everything even pet insurance, and a pet prescription place so that's neat and they have items that you just cant find else where so that's a plus. Their delivery options are very flexible and convenient and they even have a quick chat with a agent option on their site and app which is great for any questions you have. So overall it's a pretty good place to shop for your furry ones or feather or scales for all of your animal family members.

    I spent $60 for my dog to get a haircut and he came out looking the exact same. Waste of money. It also took them 4 hours to bathe and not cut any hair off of him. So he just suffered. Very disappointed

    Staff are friendly across the board but a high level of customer service is hit or miss and there are few employees with knowledge on how to best care for the pets they sell. Products and variety of selection varies by store, the Northgate location seems better stocked than the Bothell location.

    It's a chain pet store. We go there for crickets, between mail orders from an online service, most of the crickets die before we ever get a chance to feed them to our frog. But what can you really expect?

    I tried to return something and was told that I could not. It was not used, I had the receipt, and it was within the time limit. What the rules are and what they do are two completely different things.

    Good clean store, some of the inventory has been lacking but I'm pretty sure that's the case everywhere recently. The staff is very friendly and there is plenty of parking in the free garage. We haven't used their grooming or nail service so I cannot comment on that part.

    We have taken our dog, Sven, to the groomers at the Northgate, Seattle Petco for about 7 years. This year, Sven dealt with medical issues and an eventual leg amputation, and the groomers were so good about listening to our concerns about his gentle handling, treating Sven with care, and making him look great within his physical limitations. We are very happy with their service. They are also more affordable than most other groomers for a large dog.

    My dog was taken to an emergency vet after a nail trim went horribly wrong. She is taped up, wearing a boot, and on pain meds and antibiotics.

    BE CAREFUL, SO DISAPPOINTED WITH RESULT! My dog went for a bath + face, feet, and fanny trim. The bath is perfectly fine but I believe it included the nails trimming as well and the result of it is so disappointing! After I went to pick him up, he was so scared and crying so bad in the car on the way back, and I noticed he was licking his paws especially the left one (on the pic). I looked at all the trimmed nails and most of them are OVER THE LIMIT of cutting the nails and HE EVEN GOT A SMALL WOUND (looks like it was internally bleeding for some time, because I picked him up one hour after the grooming finished), and the paws are red all over! NEVER gonna come back anymore!

    Love this place. The person who helped was Sebastian and he is incredibly knowledgeable about reptile and bird care! He was so helpful and informative about everything from handling, cleaning cages, proper diets and how to watch for certain behaviors. He's great! I know I can always come back and ask for tips from him!

    I have been happy with the customer service at the Northgate location. But in my recent visit I ran into a small issue with some of the employee not wanting to grab pet animals out for me to purchase. I had to wait for an employee to get of their break before I received customers service. The person that was supposed to help me she slow poke everything until the person got off their break. I was in a hurry because I had other things that needed to be done before I went to work which I was late because of the lack of willingness to grab the animal I was requesting. I might be wrong on my understanding of the store policy, but I was under the impression that ALL EMPLOYEES are expected to grab the reptiles, birds, fish, bugs, and ect, as part of the customer service. The grooming and training is separate or different types of service that requires different types training. I understand that someone might be uncomfortable of handling reptiles, bugs and or animals. But if that is the case than they shouldn't be working there or in the customer service department. I hope that this issue would be resolved so that other customers does not have to wait to receive customers service and or wait until someone is off their break to be able to purchase what they are requesting.

    We got a female fancy hamster today, and Fawn was extremely informative and kind. They answered all of our questions, and went out of thier way to make sure our Chickpea had a safe environment and that we felt comfortable bringing her home. We can't think of a better experience and cant recommend this Petco enough and the amazing and kind staff. Thank you Northgate Petco!

    We've been taking our super anxious dog here for nail trims after they didn't work so well at home. She flops around madly, runs into corners, flings herself off the couch in an attempt to get away. I was really glad they've mostly stayed open during the pandemic, with appropriate precautions. I can't say our dog enjoys her nail trims, but the fact that the staff is able to do them, and quickly to boot, says volumes. These people have skills! They're all good, but Princess in particular seems to do a great job.

    my 13 year old and I returned a pair of rain boots that were too small at target. 20 min later we walked into petco to return a Guinea pig bedding because I accidentally bought the wrong kind and was shocked to hear that petco now doesn’t take returns due to COVID. Doesn’t make any sense as target takes it and petco now uses COVID to make their own rules and not take returns. Offering to donate??? I don’t donate anything as i pay enough taxes to the city for everyone to get hand outs. And believe me i will be back to return when petco lifts this own self rule.

    My complaint actually isn't against this store or the staff but against petco corporate as a whole. I've been taking my dog to get groomed at petco (not this petco specifically) for 10 years on and off and all of a sudden they changed their policies. This wouldn't be an issue but they never notified existing customer about these changes that could potentially affect them and their pets. They added some health conditions that are prohibited from being groomed at their salon. My dog happens to have one of these conditions and it has never been a problem before or even asked about so I didn't think twice about going in today. I drove 30 minutes for his grooming appointment only to be told "I'm sorry but we can't groom him" when they found out about this issue. Obviously it wasn't the employee's fault exactly but the company that failed to notify people of this huge change! This new policy doesn't even seem to be anywhere on their website (or at least nowhere easily accessible or noticeable)! If I had been informed of this beforehand I wouldn't even be upset because I would have booked his appointment with someone who can groom him but instead I had to drive all the way out there only to go right back home. I've had this booked since October because it's so hard to get in on a weekend and I believe this issue could have been avoided if petco had at least sent an email to existing customers to warn them. It could have been such an easy fix...

    Recently adopted a trio of parakeets and so was shopping for bird toys and accessories. There's currently a discount for pick-up so I made my order online. The online experience was 3 stars but the physical store is a 5 (out of 5). Shopping at the store seem pleasant enough but in the current Covid-19 environment, I'm sticking to online ordering plus store pickup.

    The last two times I've shopped here I have either been greated at the door or in an aisle by a very friendly and helpful team member. The shelves are always stocked well and hardly anyone else is in the store, which isn't good for business but I sure feel safer.
