Marnie at Masers gave my dog the worst haircut imaginable. I asked for a little less than a half inch all over with a rounded teddy bear face. She shaved her almost to the skin. Her face is completely lopsided with the left side almost 2 inches longer than the right. they also charged me $100 for this terrible work. They refused to give even a partial refund. They said I can come back tomorrow and get it fixed but I do not trust them to fix it. Stay away.

We love Kirsten at Maser’s! Our girls are both scaredy dogs when it comes to going to the groomer and she has been an absolute godsend. She is so patient with both of them and treats them like they’re her own pups. Our dogs get so excited to see her! She always listens to us when we tell her what we want as far as their cuts go. And in addition to making our pups look great after each visit, Kirsten has given us so many tips & tricks to help us manage super curly doodle hair between visits. We love and trust Kirsten so much that we continue to drive from Renton to Kenmore for their grooming appointments, despite there being plenty of grooming options closer to us.

I had a negative experience bringing in my two small dogs for a nail trim. I called ahead, as requested, to schedule a time that day to bring in my dogs. When we arrived (just one hour later), the woman in at the desk looked annoyed and surprised to see us. They took each dog to the back room to trim their nails while my husband and I waited in the lobby area. While waiting, we heard a dog start shrieking and yelping very loudly and thought it might be one of our dogs. We saw two employees standing in the doorway watching what was happening, but doing nothing to make sure our dog was OK. When I asked if it was my dog, they said yes, but nothing else. I asked if I could go to the back and check on her, and they said yes. When I got into the back, my dog had a muzzle around her nose and looked absolutely terrified. The woman doing the nail trim passed her to me, and I asked if it was possible that she hurt my dog by clipping her quick. She said "Maybe?" When I looked at her feet, multiple toes were bleeding. She didn't even seem concerned about my dog or that she hurt her doing the nail trim. We used to take our dogs to Posh Paws in Roosevelt when we lived in that neighborhood and never once had an experience like this. But we recently moved to the Kenmore area and decided to give Maser's a try since it was much more convenient, even though they were considerably more expensive. Needless to say, we won't be going back.

This little pup had her first groom ever at Master's. The staff was amazing, so kind and personable. They helped me in determining the best cut for my pup as it was my first time. Great experience we will be back!

We have brought our dog here a few times for only for nail trims and will not be going back. Every time we've gone, employees have been impatient, short and rude. Not only with my husband and I, but with our dog as well, who is very scared of lots of things. Our dog also has pretty sensitive skin. The place is pretty dirty/messy and smells like cigarettes so it made us too nervous and we didn't trust them to bath or completely groom our dog. This place is close and convenient for us but we really really disliked going there so we had to find somewhere else to go that isn't close or convenient.

Don't bring your dog here. It's not worth it. After five hours and almost $100, they barely took 1/4" off and did not trim his tail or ears. His coat is still approx. 1" long when we asked for at least 1/2" and agreed to "short all over" with the groomer. We brought him in because he was hot and panting in the heat. His belly still has long hairs all over and I keep finding areas that were never cut around his legs and underarms. I didn't realize the extent of the groom when we picked him up and I regret not saying anything. It doesn't matter anyway because I was not interested in returning to ask for it to be fixed. My gut said to turn around when I walked in the grooming entrance and it smelled like urine. We have had no issues in the past. Maser's used to be quick, efficient, and easy to schedule. Not sure what happened. Spare yourself the disappointment and go to Hippie Hounds in Lynnwood or Furtician in Bothell. Both are more $$$ and book far out, but they will give your dog a great haircut and their lobbies do not smell.

appointment availability is much sooner than other groomers. Dropped off my dog at 8:30am and picked her up after about 2 hours . Groomer was very polite and did a great job.

They did a fantastic job on our havanese . He is difficult to groom and was so shaggy and matted. He was a new dog!! Best groomer we've found! Highly recommend.

I was a first time customer taking in my two setters. Wow am I impressed! One of my girls is pretty easy but the other needed some belly mats removed from running in grass and bushes. The groomer did a great job of doing the removal while keeping her looking like her breed, a Gordon Setter. Very happy with the outcome. And to top it off, the groomers are very nice and my girls are happy and not stressed.

I took both my cats to this place for the first time in the last couple of months, it was very impressed with what a great job they do. They were also about $50 cheaper than the nearest competitor, and we're always able to take my cats within 24 hours of my call.

Do not take your dog to get hand stripped here! We took our cairn terrier in for hand stripping and were assured that he was in good hands and would be groomed by Denise who had years of hand stripping experience. Several hours later, our dog was returned to us having been clipped. This has destroyed his coarse coat and will take years of careful care to restore back to normal. They were flat out dishonest, having assured us to our face that he had been hand stripped. However, when he was returned to us, it was obvious that the fur around his face had been clipped because it was a very sharp and trimmed line. The same applies to his arms, legs, and tail. We are devastated especially having been told multiple times on the phone and in-person that he would only be hand stripped.

Marnie is amazing. She can handle my very difficult kitty. Reggie is a dear except when it comes to having his nails trimmed. I call her the cat whisperer. Have been going there for years now and thank my lucky stars for Marnie.

Great local pet shop carrying a variety of pet products. They stock a cat food called Mouser, which adds pinkie mice to chicken, duck, rabbit, and turkey flavors. A good quality unique food! For the horse people, Wesley can service your clippers and sharpen your blades. One of the few skilled people in the area.

Denise has been grooming dogs for 30+ years and she used to groom my last dog years ago. I’ve always had full confidence in her abilities because she did an absolutely amazing job every time! I brought a client’s doodle that was in need of a complete makeover to the grooming department & she’s now a brand new dog! On behalf of Olivia’s family and myself, thank you for doing such a miraculous & fabulous job on her. . She’s noticeably much happier & I can finally see her big pretty eyes! There’s also a good selection of everything pet related in their store! I always find something or a few things while I’m there. I really appreciate all the staff at Maser’s for always being awesome through the years!

Unfortunately I had to change this review, because I don't support businesses that support far right conspiracy theory, paramilitary organizations like WA 3%'rs that protest common sense like masks in the first year of Covid or promote election conspiracy. They also pretend to be a community service to indoctrinate and radicalize people. Feeding on disaster and panic to spread their lies. Not shopping here anymore.

I get it. Trimming dogs’ nails is hard. But they hit the quick on every nail but one! I can’t imagine how painful that must have been for my poor dog…. Update: the nail trim was done by a trainee and Maser's has agreed to work with them on their trimming technique.

the grooming ladies deserve nothing but 5 stars. Every time, I took my husky there, she came back super clean. Her paws are snowy white, her hair is fluffy and smells like flower, and her nails are neatly trimmed. The people there always remember and greet her name. Great service and reasonable price.

Great for dog and cat food and treats. Would recommend not getting any rawhide, animal bones, or antler due to safety reasons. Hope someone adopts the Guinea pigs soon, they look very sad.

Denise did an amaziing job on my Coton De Tulear named Gracie. I went in for a toenail trim. They had a cancellation for a full groom so I took a chance, I am glad I did.

Great staff - they know their products and how to use them. I have serious chewers. If I don't keep them engaged, they go for the drywall... right in the middle of the wall. Masres' staff suggested perfect shew toys, and now I have no more holes in my hallway walls! They've also helped find just the right fit harness for my uniquely shaped pup and food for my picky eater.

GO HERE! My pup (8 mo cocker spaniel) was kicked out of PetSmart for being too wriggly. He also has separation anxiety and a lot of fur. I brought him to Masers at 10:30 (their latest appointment) and picked him up around 4. He came out happy and with a good cut! The cost was $100, while at petsmart it would have been around $80 minimum. They were very patient with his first grooming experience and walked us through what to expect.

The customer service lacks a bit, not only that but my dog is a usual there and this previous experience the grooming appeared very lazy and not as neat as the others. Slightly disappointed, but overall a good place to go!

Dropped my dog off for grooming (Bath/Brush only). I never received a call to pick-up my dog but they claimed they left a message. I walked in randomly to see what was going on and thats how I found out my dog was ready. After I brought my dog home, she downed 2 bowls of water and fell asleep for the rest of the day - only getting up briefly to eat. (We got back around 4pm, she wasn't active until the next day.) She's roughly 2 years old, so I'm assuming she was given a sedative or something without telling me. The only plus side to this visit is she smelled nice after.

If you value your dog stay away from this place you will just be told your wrong and that they’re the professionals . I kindly asked them to not use clippers or shears on our dog because it will cause alopecia and hair loss. When I called to double check I was told by Kirsten that she just used clippers. Super kindly told her please don’t do that and use scissors because of the chance of alopecia . She then went on a 3 min rant which is recorded on my business line and I will be posting it to YouTube and adding the link for you all the hear it below . After she threatened to return our dog half cut and as is stating “I won’t even charge you come get him “ Then proceeds to say I’ll call you when he’s done and hangs up the phone on me. Completely ruined my dogs hair and did the exact opposite of what we asked of her we even called half way through to double cheack and she confirmed she’s leave the hair on his head rounded instead she used shears and took it all off, Lawsuit is pending you guys chose the wrong person to do that to not to mention posting this on Instagram with 4.5 million followers. And I won’t stop until this business has 1 stars . Get ready for thousands more of the same reviews

Been going here for over 30 years. Wesley and Joni are great. The place has the best groomers and the healthiest fish. Also a small selection of small animals and sometimes a kitty or 2 for adoption. Best prices on dog and cat food.
