Excellent all around dining experience! From being seated, to being served, to being checked on, to walking out slowly because we were STUFFED! 🤣 Every dish brought to the table was well seasoned and well prepared...DELICIOUS!! Definitely worth a visit.

What a wonderful experience here. My husband and I had our 2 date here. On our 5th year Anniversary we came back for dinner which was lovely but this year we went to get a night cap for our 12th year anniversary (2 married) and sat at the bar. No sooner did our waitress who was amazing learn our story, she surprised us with a dessert and a serenade!! Given by one of the restaurants oldest tenured employee who also happened to be our waiter for our 5th year dinner!!! The coincidence made the night magical and unforgettable!! Thank you Roots. We will be planning our next milestone for sure here!!

Came in with reservations and was seated promptly. Customer service was outstanding. I eat out as a hobby and I must say everyone was so warm, friendly and professional. My waiter was Oscar, he was fantastic and knew the menu. The ambiance was warm and had the holiday spirit with music playing in the background. Appetizer was the lobster bites and they were 5 stars. The entree was the sea scallops. They were also 5 stars. The portion was great so I was able to pack leftovers for home. My date had the NY Strip and loved it. There were no leftovers lol Dessert was the flowerless chocolate cake. It was amazing and light. To drink, I had red wine but can’t recall the name of it. I wish I took more pics of my food but I was able to snap one of my dessert below. The pic doesn’t do it justice. I highly recommend Roots Steakhouse for a date, dinner with friends or family. I’m pescatarian so if you’re also a non meat eater you’ve got options.

Great classic old school NY steakhouse. Great bar and cocktails. The meat is very good and properly cooked as required by customer. The fries were a little soggy but the corn brûlé was excellent. The wine list by the glass is not too impressive but very good selection by the bottle. The ice cream for dessert was underwhelming. The staff is great, very attentive but not over present. Overall not cheap but you pay for quality meat, well cooked in a NY steakhouse but in NJ suburbs.

Overall, a great meal in an elegant but cozy atmosphere and excellent service, attentive but not overbearing. The food was very good but a few details need to be improved to earn that 5th star. First of all, the Yorkshire Pudding type of bread that comes as an appetizer was burnt and it seems like that is just how it is served. Nevertheless, it was tasty on the inside, a little reminiscent of the layers in a croissant just less buttery and more savory. The fries were a little soggy even though they had just come out of the kitchen, and the creamed spinach albeit tasty had a hard, chewy texture. Steak was excellent, perfectly cooked, but did have a lot of chewy parts that had to be discarded. These are just a few details that I expect to be perfect for an almost $100/person meal. P.S. The lobster bites were perfect. Well cooked and seasoned, very delicious!

5 star consistency all around. I Typically order the prime, dry aged cowboy steak, or the Porterhouse for two. Perfect medium rare every time! Can’t go wrong with anything you order here. Service is excellent!

Absolutely adore Roots Steak House in Summit! It's our go-to for lunch – the food is fantastic, and the staff ensures you feel amazing throughout your visit.

Good service. Great drinks and delicious food. It was a great night out before Christmas. The place was full but not packed. We were able to get a reservation. The gingerbread on the crème brûlée was a nice touch. This time did have everything we ordered.

Excellent traditional New York steakhouse. Fantastic cocktails and bar. The meat is excellent and cooked to the customer's specifications. The corn brûlé was delicious, but the fries were a little too wet. There is a fair selection of wines by the bottle, however the wine list by the glass is not very outstanding. Dessert was ice cream, which was not very good. Great staff, really attentive without being overbearing. While not cheap overall, you pay for well-cooked beef akin to that found in a suburban New York steakhouse in New Jersey.

Booked a last minute reservation online for New Years with no problems! Staff was extremely attentive and kind. Food was cooked perfectly and drinks were great too. Would definitely come again!

Perfect! Everything from the experience to the food. The service was great. They went above and made sure my wife enjoyed her birthday. My kids had the Mac and cheese, with and without lobster, they gobbled it up! My wife and I had steak and potatoes, and man they were delicious and cooked to perfection! We'll certainly be returning.

Incredible service supper high level, supper attentive staff members. Our waiter was Emily and she made sure we will have full of her attention. Steak was so delicious 🤤 and anything else what we ordered made with love and followed by best recipe. Definitely highly recommended

Conveniently located in the heart of downtown Summit. Easy access to street parking and parking lot nearby. The menu is extensive and the wine list is very remarkable, with Napa cult wines like Harlan, Dominus and Hundreds Acre. Food was also good, I really liked the bread, the Fall Off the Bone BBQ Rib and the scallop risotto. Service was pleasant and professional.

The 20 Oz Dry aged Cowboy steak was the best! The dry aging just intensified the flavor and was perfectly grilled medium rare. The side dishes complemented the steak as well. My only critique was that the steak was served lukewarm and not sizzling hot. Otherwise overall a perfect evening well spent with family. Looking forward to going back with the next birthday celebration

Amazing service by the lovely server Emily. She was exceptional. She gave great food recommendations and pairings. The Manager Rodrigo came by and checked on our table and made sure everything was smooth. Great establishment and great team is what I’ve seen so far. The crab cake, beef dumplings and lobster bites were phenomenal and the ny strip steaks were cooked to perfection. Will definitely be back. Thank you Roots for your great service. I left with my belly full and satisfied.
