Build in 1784 by Tipu sultan. First imamath performed by Tipu sultan. It's entire coated with earthen yellow. Lofty minarets has appear as touching sky, with beautiful domes & other unique feature. Its historical place, Here tourists must visit to experience a best art work of India.

“Jamia Masjid is built by Tipu Sultan near the Bangalore Gate in the eastern part of the fort in 1787 AD, this Mosque was used regularly for worship by him…The panoramic view of the area from the top is splendid… The building is an interesting example of the combination of Hindu and Islamic Architecture.” – this is written on the Name plate of this mosque. When I reached there it was twilight and this yellow building seemed divine to me. The art and crafts of two minarets are majestic. Anyone can stop after seeing this extraordinary beautiful mosque on the side of the road.

An old masjid built by Tipu Sultan and is still looking fresh. People from all Over the world visit this place and can pray here. This masjid looks so elegant. The colour is adding to its eternity.

Beautiful historical place. The Hawdh pond ablution water needs to cleaned by a philanthropic person to restore it to it’s past grandeur.

Magnificent yet peaceful structure with not so much crowd around even during Dasara. Loved the architecture and amalgamation of Indo-Islamic style of the minar with a brass Kalash intricate design which is a rare combination of style. The kitchen that served food to travellers (musafir) is still active which now houses students of its madrasa and serves food to them. The steps leading to the top of the minarets is in repairs and hence closed for public. Hoping this would be repaired soon and allow enthusiast tourists who appreciate the architecture to have a city view atop the minarets.

I dont think it maintained properly, no fence or any security … just had a glance from road… though looks nice …

Visited on 2017 December. My wife and I got chased out by a bunch of Muslim kids shouting kafir! Was a quiet place till the kids spotted us.

Old mosque near Sree Ranga Pattana

Visited in September 2019. An old historic mosque. No seperate place for ablution for Ladies. However they can pray in a seperate mat arranged. Lots of pigeons around. Less than 1 km from Banglore - Mysore highway. Ample car parking space.

Built around 1782 during the rule of Tipu Sultan, Jamia Masjid in Srirangapatna, about 120km from Bengaluru, is a heritage site being maintained by Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).This is such a beautiful mosque to visit . We were not allowed to take photographs inside the mosque.

It's a Lord Sri Hanuman Temple not Masjid... Truth must come out.

This historical mosque is near KSRTC bus stand, Srirangapatna Small and beautiful mosque which must be visited when one is in Srirangapatna .
