This is by far one of the BEST German restaurants in the state! The food took me back to my childhood of grandmas food and the sauerkraut is amazing!!! Evil is very kind, nice to see a owner so involved in her restaurant! I wish I could give this establishment 10 stars. We will be making the hour and a half drive a lot more often after finding this gem!

Food is delicious and service is friendly and quick. We will definitely be coming back to try more things off of their menu :) Just wanted to update a year later and still amazing. It's one of our favorite places in town. We have never had a single bad experience here. Service is friendly and the food is delicious.

It’s very hard to find ethnic German food in this area, especially restaurants. Being German, it was definitely a treat for me to stumble across this place. I even got to speak with Mrs. Evi herself in my mother-tongue which made my experience that much better. The atmosphere is charming, I especially enjoy the timber framing on the exterior of the restaurant. The Schweineschnitzel I had was excellent! You could tell right away that it was handmade, but the Pommes (fries) were lackluster, the oil they were cooked in was probably in need of changing, but that wasn’t what I was there for. The Apfelstrudel I had was not perfect either, but desserts aren’t usually served in traditional Gaststätten anyway. The only thing I truly desired was a Hefeweizen (German wheat beer) but I digress. I will definitely return!

Absolutely delicious! Taste like something you'd eat at Grandma's house. So so so good!

They are closed at the moment for renovations and will reopen for Octoberfest 2019. While I was there setting up for a preplanned birthday party, so many people stopped by to eat. Unfortunately, they were met by the sign that states that they are closed. The customers seemed so disappointed. I didn't realized why they were so upset until I tried their food. The food was so good! Great family owned business. You should definitely visit in October to see the renovations and to try the food of course.

This place may not seem like much on the outside (yet; they moved) but the food is absolutely amazing! It’s perfectly prepared and they serve generous portions. Service was very friendly and efficient. Some food suggestions would be the Jaeger Schnitzel, Rotkraut, Gurken Salat and of course, the famous Nutella crepe. Try one of their authentic German brews while you’re there too! One of my all time favorites in Shreveport-Bossier.

This is a place you will return to, great menu of German favorites I had the #3 schnitzel with gravy and mushrooms mashed potatoes and sweet red cabbage. The meat was so tender. Family run great service.

The food, 700-year-old beer, music, and decor take you outside Shreveport-Bossier to Germany. This is the gyro meat salad 💯
