If there was a way to hike down to this place, I'd do it. Nevertheless, it is beautiful to look at. Very picturesque and stunning. 👍 The sheer height of the falls is intimidating. To get there, you have to be on the look out for it or else you'll miss it!

Right on the road, there's no reason to not stop by and take a look. It's a big, impressive waterfall in the middle of the jungle. The two pools at the bottom of the falls look inviting but are difficult to visit, you'll need to talk to various locals about how to find the trail down and expect a not so well cut path.

Stunning view! One of the most beautiful waterfalls I have ever been to, definitely worth the stop. The lookout is right on the side of the road so careful not to miss out. Also we did not have to pay any fees to see the waterfall.

A nice stop while crossing the island, it's on the side of the road so no walk required. Low cloud was coming through the day we stopped so a bit hard to see. Take your rubbish with you people, don't be litter bugs, like some that have been before.

This is a beautiful waterfall, though 4 stars because you can only see it from a distance. This is a scenic overlook off the main road.

It's free not like other waterfalls where you have to pay just to look. Close to town but might be difficult to see the small new sign on the main road. Unfortunately there is alot of rubbish being thrown down the mountain. I hung up a recycled tyre sign to try & encourage people to keep place clean but someone stole that.

Overgrown viewpoint, can't get a clear view. Pics better mid-day onwards for the sun on the falls.

Nice waterfall. Can be covered in clouds and as it's just by the side road it can easily be missed. Great to fly a drone.

Viewing point was rather far away from falls but still a majestic sight. Viewing point is just off main road so no $ to see it.

Nice to have a free thing to do, compared with the constant 20T entrance fees for everything. Pretty much on the roadside, big potholes. You can look at the waterfall over on the other side of the valley but you can't get close. Good place to stop and stretch your legs, just don't expect too much.

Papapapaitai (it is as fun to say in a sentence as it looks) is one of the tallest waterfalls in Samoa. The viewpoint is freely accessible off the cross island road and has its on carpark. You cannot get close to the waterfall as shown in the pictures.

Magnificent falls! Can only watch it from faraway but it’s beautiful! Even better with the sun out (it was cloudy) Only thing to watch out is the dog poop around.

Get a great view from the viewing deck. Don't know if you could hike there, but it would be worth it if you had time.

Great free view of a waterfall from just off the side of the road. No bathrooms, no marked trail, and a bit of rubbish around the parking area. The sound and view of the waterfall are amazing though. See attached pictures and video.

Right off Cross Island Road, so a super quick stop if you're passing through! Free parking and entry. The parking area is unfortunately is really poorly maintained with tons of pot holes. If you come during rainy or foggy weather though there could be a chance where you can't see the falls, but on a clear day it's quite gorgeous and worth a stop!

Waterfall was closed off and could not park nor go to it. Looks like they are doing an upgrade of the area at this time.

Fall area was closed when we went 2/1/2025. There was not a formal viewing area and no tickets. But we were still able to get a view of the waterfall and it was beautiful! Would recommend stopping by to see

You may miss the little turn with the little sign. Nobody rushed to ask for 10 talas- amazing! Would be amazing to walk down to the bottom but I didn’t see a trail.

Definately a worthwhile stop if passing through the area. Quite a safe area to park and free to visit. We visited on a dull/overcast day but still had a good view of the falls.

Breathtaking waterfall. There's a viewpoint just off the side of the road. Definitely worth stopping for. Photos don't do it justice.

A great attraction! Brand new accessible lookout. It was a cloudy day - we were warned it might be tricky to see the falls but we got lucky with a break in the rain. A great place to stop off if you’re crossing to the otherwise side of Upolu, and only a short drive. If you have a couple of hours to spare but are staying in Apia, suggest driving to Papapapaitai, then stopping off at the arts centre, look at the Bahai’i temple and visit the Robbie Louis Stevenson museum on the way back to town. Grab a taxi in town to take you - doesn’t cost too much more to ask them to wait.

These places have dence fog often. This time we were able to see nothing other than fog. If you stop by there while you have another errands nearby, that’s ok. But no value to go there for the fall. この辺りは濃厚な霧の発生地帯ということで、霧に閉ざされ何も見えなかった。せっかく遠路はるばるやってきたのに残念😢

Free falls! This is 100 time better than some other falls. It gets quite foggy (smokey) so drive safe!
