Well first time on south of Italy, and I'm amazed. Hospitality great, location perfect,to get food is just 5-10min away. The hostel is also a bar,so some evenings will be loud and some will be quiet. WiFi great, every day is cleaning from 11am(11h)-2pm(14h) the kitchen, the rooms, the WC. It's mid October and it's warm, where should be cold rainy autumn, but not here. Mixed rooms are big and spacious, kitchen is also big, but it has only 1fridge,4 gas burners, two saucepans which can be replaced by new one,cuz the old ones are beaten(you have to put something to not spill over). WC has 3 toilet and 1 special needs, 3 showers with curtains. Bus station is 20-25min away by foot or by bus(stazione centrale). For shopping it's challenging, if you're under 100kg you will be happy man, if you're above don't bother to look(only in Messina I have found). The important rule of HOSTEL is "DON'T BRING ALCOHOL BOUGHT IN SUPERMARKET". They have fiat(Zastava-fića) under the staircase.

This is a bar that has beds. It values its business as a bar more than its hostel business. Music from the bar is played until very late. Even ear plugs don't help. When making breakfast in the morning the staff complain as morning time is when they clean the kitchen. We were making breakfast at 9 am..breakfast time. You are only allowed to use a small section of the kitchen as the rest is to support the bar. The bed is comfortable and the place is clean but as far as hostels go, this is not one. Worst hostel I have been to.

The staff are the real sell on this one. Really kind and helpful people who want everyone to have a good time. The bar is brilliant too, with table service throughout the night. Ended up going to a beach party with some new friends made at the hostel, and with one of the barmen. Really great time. It was my first time in a hostel and I’m glad I started here. Amazing time.

The other reviews are not exaggerating, this place is better quality than most hotels! Also a great place to meet new people and set out on some adventures across Sicily. Oh, and the cocktails are excellent!

I loved the yard hostel! The place is amazing! Super beautiful, close to the main street and must seen attractions in Catania and the best arancini in town. But the most important was the friendly and amazing staff! Ohh and also the cocktails are amazing! Will definitely come back and stay there! Pro: -good, proactive, helpful staff. -clean hostel throughout, including the bathroom and kitchen areas -beautiful bar and reception area with quirky vintage props and furnishing. Cons: -maybe some board games, or activities within the hostel to facilitate the social aspect of the guest experience. Overall, an excellent hostel and I would definitely stay again :)

It is really a nice hostel. Its location is top and the decoration of the place is very well made. They have a bar available to get your drinks from a capuccino to a nice messina beer or cocktail. Our room was private and it had airco working which was a blessing during the heatwave.

Located at the corner of the main street of Catania. Clean, very well equipped kitchen and toilets. Friendly staff. Free coffee or cappuccino for breakfast, lounge bar in the evening. Big common area.

Perfect place to stay! And very nice location, in the end of a quiet typical private street. Extremely clean, search the dust with a magnifying glass you won't find any. The beds are big and comfy. The staff is very friendly and helpfull. And I love the decoration. I swear even the toilets are beautifull. Advice: if you need no noise to sleep, book the female room with 6 beds it is the most quiet or the one for 2 You don't expect so much for such a cheap price! I will definitly come back !^^

Great place with a lot of attention to details and customer service. The atmosphere is laid back and the location is quite central. It was very nice to interact with Carlo, one of the owners, and his team! Recommend!

As someone here mentioned before it's a bar that also has beds. Don't go here if you want to sleep before 1am. The music from the bar is way too loud, even with earplugs. During the day it's a nice and clean place, but then I typically don't spend the day in the hostel. Instead it's a place where I'd like to sleep - which is pretty difficult here. To me this made it the worst hostel I've ever been to. And the hostel doesn't really market itself as a party hostel, so it was difficult to know.

One of the best hostels ever! (And I’ve been to many 😅) Everything is spotless and every inch of this hostel looks amazing. It is an oasis in the middle of busy Catania. We stayed at the private room and it was perfect: really good AC, silent, great bed and awesome shower. The bar is a great place to finish your evening (although it closes at midnight). The owner, Alexia, is super friendly. This hostel is a work of art!

Absolutely phenomenal place. Massive bed space and spacious rooms. Cleaned bathrooms. Amazing vibe at the bar. Made some very nice friends here. I wish my stay was longer. Will definitely make more visits again to this place.

This place is just absolutely an amazing. As exterior as interior are super clean and creating wonderful cosy welcoming atmosphere where your holiday can really be called a real holiday. Place is clean ! Safe! And the beds are huge and super comfy!!!!!! The staff puts thy heart and soul into this place and they work hard to keep the high standards up and it shows !!!! Love this hostel! Super modern and sooo comfortable. Nice beds with curtains and plugs, comfy mattress. I really enjoyed my stay here, my only complaint is that they were fully booked and I couldn’t stay for my second night in town :( Met some great people here and ended up hanging out with them all weekend doing different activities.

Best Hostel of my life. Firstly the managers are so welcoming and professional. (Carlo/Salgo) make you feel at home and do everything possible to make your stay as comfortable as possible. I needed to change my booking last minute for personal reasons and the young blonde manager who is incredibly smiley and I feel terrible for not asking the name of sorted it with ease. Secondly it's the cleanest Hostel I have ever stayed in (Thank you Jani!) I don't know how someone has such an incredible eye for detail and passion, I am a clean freak and couldn't find a speck of Dust anywhere, even saw him moving the bunks to clean behind them, believe it or not other hostels don't do this daily! Thirdly the massive bunk beds with super mattresses big enough to lay two people side by side and long enough to make even me 188cm 6ft2" feel tiny in them! Only criticism I would make is possibly a little shelf for your phone next to the chargers (or basket) and to have the duvet inside the sheet rather than a separate thing, once again cleanest duvets I have ever seen in a Hostel too! And Finally... The huge sun trap terrace. I spent three days straight here just in my swim shorts sunbathing at the beginning of feb in 17 degree heat as it was BOILING! with no wind you feel on a tropical beach, especially when the amazing managers are very kindly bringing you tasty beers/cocktails that you can charge straight to your room. (Would suggest a super cheap beer option just for the hostel guests, some €0.50 supermarket variety that you can make the same margins on but appeal to the backpacker market with) 1000% would stay again and recommend to all. Great place. However at the bar they don't fill the beers up to the 40cl line, which is marked on the glass. Instead they stop at a yellow decorative marking about 10% below. All the bartenders do it, so I assume it's been instructed by management. At €5 for a 40cl beer it feels like a bit of a rip off. Apparently the other hostels in town fill the beer glass all the way up to the top

Wow! Top 3 best hostel I have stayed at! So nice, great design and comfortable beds with high privacy! One remarks: some offers in the bar are quite expensive and sometimes the staff was quite hard to reach. No breakfast but free coffee!

Your place to stay if you are in Catania. A very nicely decorated hostel, with spacious rooms and comfortable beds. The place is always very clean. Owners knew we were arriving in a late flight and they stayed waiting for us after working hours just to check us in. Location is excellent close to the main attractions in the city with easy access to bus stops. Totally recommended.
