Don't underestimate the place from its entrance. The moment you go inside, the very first look of the monastery will mesmerize anyone. An architectural marvel, situated between the most beautiful and picturesque sights of snow covered mountains. The fact it is a religious place, you would also feel a sense of serenity and calmness from your heart to the soul. 🙏🏻

Clean calm and comforting. Definitely worth a visit. The monastery has been constructed with great planning I love this place. painted in all yellow seems like a little lhasa township with giant monastery temple sitting right in its center. Gyuto monastery is very quiet place and I love going to that monastery whenever I get free time... When I want inner peace I usually go there.

If you are soul searching and looking for peace to ease your mind, make sure to go there between 6 am to 7:15 am. That's when you will hear the monks chanting prayers. Highly recommended.

Beautiful, mesmerizing, serene place at this yellow gold monastery. The view of the elevation with the backdrop of Himalayas is breathtaking. One can spend hours just looking through the architecture and details and colors of the building and whole building complex. The monks sitting inside monastery studying and humming mantras gives a spiritual goal to the visitors. Walk through the entrance aisle amidst the green plants feels like walking in some foreign location. It's a must visit monastery. There are religious symbols painted on the floors of the monastery in white chalk. Also there is a ramp to climb up the monastery with proper railing to hold on the left end of the monastery which takes u straight up the main hall. Wheelchairs accessibility is there. Best to visit is when whether is lil pleasant as there are not many shady areas to sit.

Lot of greenry and a peaceful place. Cafe and resturants available inside the monestry. A meuseum is also there about doll creation in the ancient times. Also it has a small guest house stay with 10-12 rooms available on chargable basis. Entry in monestry is charged at a ticket of Rs 50

Very very nice monastery . The bright yellow colour of all the buildings gives the place a very bright and lively look . Also you can see many young children within the premises who are studying to become monks . The place is very peaceful . Inside the monastery it is forbidden to take pictures . The road leading up to the monastery is very narrow and creates a problem when there is another car in the opposite direction .

While the entrance looked like as if we were entering a housing complex, the view we got after we reached the entrance of the monastery was enchanting. As you climb up the stairs to reach the monastery, there is a huge hall and it is adorned with statutes of the Buddha and various other sacred deities. This place is extremely silent and peaceful except for a few murmurs of the monks carrying out thier daily work and prayers. If you hear them chant (group chanting), it will be a bonus since these chants instantly calm and sooth your inner core. Irrespective of whether you understand them or no. This place is also a must see...

Gyuto is not just a Monastery but also a residential complex for Tibetan monks. If you're lucky you will catch up with their tantric rituals around the afternoon, the monks are very humble to talk to. Situated a few miles from Dharamshala it's a quiet/quite picturesque place.

Beautiful monastery with mountains in the backdrop. It is a quaint and peaceful place to enjoy the budhhist culture and offer your prayers to Lord budhha. It's like an institution for monks- young and old, where they learn to read and pray. We also saw a beautiful havan like ceremony where all the monks were chanting and doing the ritual together. It's a place worth visiting.
