How beautiful it is to see that such historical places are being used as cultural hubs! I finally made it to this Hammam and it was amazing to see the work of Tom Young alongside other painters and artists

I wouldn’t miss it if I was in Saida! It should be said though, Hammam Al Jadeed is now only a museum/art space whereas Hammam Al Shaykh is an actual Hammam where you can go to to relax and bath! 💆

“Hammam Al Jadeed”, The new Hammam is the last bath build in Saida 400 years ago, a beautiful place in Sidon that has been newly reopened as a tourism project and exhibition where you will discover how this bath worked and who managed it in the past, you will see a painting exhibition that’s show scenes from that golden time. Recommended to visit.

Hamam Al Jadeed in Saida is a remarkable cultural landmark that beautifully intertwines the rich history of this coastal city with its vibrant contemporary scene. This multifaceted space, sometimes used for exhibitions, has left an indelible mark on my memory. To begin with, the historical significance of Hamam Al Jadeed cannot be overstated. This architectural masterpiece has stood as a testament to Saida's enduring heritage for centuries. Originally built during the Ottoman era, it served as a traditional hammam, or bathhouse, for the local community. Its intricate tile work and architectural design are a testament to the craftsmanship of that era. Today, Hamam Al Jadeed has been thoughtfully repurposed into a cultural space that pays homage to its historical roots. The preservation of its original structure and design adds a layer of authenticity to the exhibitions and events hosted here. Walking through its halls, one can't help but feel a deep connection to the past. What truly stands out is its role as an exhibition space. The diverse range of exhibitions, featuring local and international artists, showcases a blend of traditional and contemporary art. This fusion of old and new makes Hamam Al Jadeed an exciting hub for art enthusiasts. Moreover, its central location within Saida makes it easily accessible to both residents and visitors. The staff is knowledgeable and passionate about the space's history, which enhances the overall experience. In conclusion, Hamam Al Jadeed is a cultural treasure in Saida that seamlessly marries its historical significance with modern artistic expression. A visit here is a journey through time and art, and I wholeheartedly recommend exploring this unique and impressive landmark.

The new Hammam is a very beautiful place in Sidon that has been newly reopened. There is a guide inside that accompanies you on a tour inside and explains to you how he used this bath in the past and is being rehabilitated.

If there’s one thing you NEED to see in Saïda, it’s this Hammam. Not only was it a nice attraction, but the guided tour made it so much better. Sharqy Foundation has a few teenagers or young adults work there as guides and their tour has made my day. It was very fruitful and full with amazing information! I would definitely go again. This is a 300 year old Turkish hammam that has been cleaned up and made accessible to the public recently. The entrance fee is 5,000 LL for adults but cheaper for those younger than 18.

It had remained an undiscovered gem until Saida born and bred, Said Bacho, Founder and Chairman of Sharqy Foundation for Cultural Development and Innovation, acquired it in 2018,

A fantastic museum with an exhibition of paintings inside. Very friendly guide who was helpful and entertaining and refused payment. Unfortunately it is not a functional Hammam, so I can only give it four stars, because it would be truly wonderful if it was functional. I hope one day it is reactivated. The tour guide gave us lots of nice details about the way the space functioned socially when it was operating. There is another Hammam in town, Hammam el-Sheik. It is functioning and very excellent. I'm very sorry I can only give four stars because it was a beautiful building, a great exhibition, and a lovely guide. But it would be heavenly as an actual Hammam, and my soul weeps for the loss.

A hidden gem along the streets of the saida souk. I must say, this hidden hammam is like a trip into the past. The place seems very old and authentic. The guide was very lovely and welcoming, he accompanied us through the different stages of the hammam along with its various rooms. It was a unique experience that we could have in Lebanon. I only wish it was not as underrated as it is today. Go on and discover it for yourself!! Worth your time!
