For the location it was a great experience but concerning the service it was pretty bad . the host communication skills is awfull and the staff are rude to people and litteraly insulting them behind their back. The place is mismanaged having a lot of electricity problems. Plus the sheets and towels were in a pretty bad shape upon arrival.

What a lovely and beautiful place to escape the city. The staff was really friendly and hospitable. In the evening you could make a fire and sit next to the river. I would really recommend everybody to pay a visit to this place. Hopefully we will come back soon!

We checked River Zen on our way to Chouf region for later visit. We met Omar Tarabay there, he is friendly and welcoming, where the place has wide spaces with good variety of choices for staying and camping such as private areas and tree houses.. Whether you are group of friends or family. It's suitable for picnics and camping, and it's is close to Beirut and South, facing Multaka Al Nahrain park. It has shared kitchen, toilets and shower rooms. The Parking lot can accommodate many cars with secure gate which opens only by security guard.The place has been recently renewed and changed for several services and activities.

We booked one day ahead a private spot for 2 people, we told them we have our own tent so basically they should give us a private camping spot. We arrived late at night and there was Wael, he told us there was no reservation but he already knew our names!! He doubted our reservation! He gave us a picnic spot which is obviously not a camping nor private spot (it was public and infront of us was people having picnics!!) and he even doubted our resrv for private camping, he said(entu hejzin picnic msh private spot akid).. anyways, we ordered box of wood, we paid 5$ for 5 pieces of sugar cane, bamboo maybe, and some wood from furniture, only one big piece of wood. We asked for mattresses and he said he couldn’t give us, the next day we asked for electricity there was nothing, we asked for swimming spots they said the river is low and there is no swimming and no hiking! Please guys, write these in your catalogue and tell the people about the stuff you don’t offer or have! One of the worst experiences, although i went camping 2-3years ago there and it was amazing! The guys (they work there) around us are like 10 years old, they’re not cooperative, service is awful I’m sorry, not gonna visit again!

The place is like a paradise! I had the best experience ever! The treehouse is so clean and cozy with a wonderful view to the river! The staff is so friendly and the food is tasty! I recommend this place for an unforgettable escape!

You can spend your night in a tent or tree house next to the river, staff there are very friendly and helpful, you may bring with you whatever you want. Highly recommended.

The location is awesome but the management it the worst. we booked a private spot to make a party and we asked if we can get a Dj and the manager said yes and its ok no problem the deal was that the volume can be high till midnight and after midnight keep it low at 8 PM the music was low and they started saying its not allowed to put music at low volume after long discussion they agreed and they turned off twice the electricity he said that its the only way to inform us to lower the volume I don’t mind if the place refuses DJ’s or high volume but they should inform guests before thwy pay them that its not allowed plus the place is super dirty.

Very bad experience, the staff were nice but the manager was unexeptable, they wanted us to leave our place and our table because they wanted to put other people, and when we refused there was a mat next to our table sitting on it they got annoyed they took it from under us

Wish there was a ZERO star option! Horrible, horrible experience. First, it started with the fishy pricing. The host "changed their mind" about the cost per person the moment we confirmed we were interested and wanted to book the zone. The private zone is booked, and payment is per person, and they sent someone to check that we were the number that we paid for twice!! What a shame. Then there is the whole electricity thing. We asked if lights would be on in the evening and they told us we can stay all evening but electricity will be on until 8 pm only. Then we were surprised at 8 pm when they came to us and requested a "payment renewal" for staying beyond 8 pm. Mind you, we arrived around 4 pm... Seating is very dirty, customer service is horrible, and there is a lack of transparency. Never visiting again, a waste of money and energy...

Love this place! We came in winter right after a storm… and the river was at its full might. Loved being in a tree house with full amenities while the weather outside was cold and ideal. Highly recommended for a getaway. Will be visiting again when the weather’s a bit warmer.

I have known this wonderful place for four years, and every time my family and I go to it, it has wonderful specifications and excellent service. It enjoys the picturesque nature, the pleasant calmness of comfort and beautiful privacy. I advise everyone to visit this beautiful place in every sense of the word. We visited this place for a picnic. Be ware that the areas that are heavily advertised on their social media reflect the private seatings /restuarant. The picnic area was in a horrific condition cleanliness wise but it was a monday and the end of the Summer season so we did not complain. Upon setting our stuff we asked about the price and the cleaning staff informed us that the guy in charge would come later. I insisted on talking to him and was advised to walk to reception. The gentlman in the reception area was welcoming , however the prices were appaling . Mind you it was a mid september monday and they were asking for double . . the market value at USD 5 /person For the lack of cleanliness and lack of River flow due to the artificial dams this was outright extortion. I fully understand that the place has different sections etc but that is no excuse to a) not be completely transparent about the prices from the second you step and deliberately delaying hoping to set a fait a compli and b) expect people to pay a higher price for a below average area .Needless to say we definitely found a better picnic spot

I went to this restaurant with a group of 16 people and we were all very disappointed with the service. The staff was rude and didn't seem to care about our needs. We had to wait a long time for our food, and when it finally arrived, the portions were very small. The food was also overpriced, and we felt like we were being ripped off. In addition to the bad service and overpriced food, we also had a problem with all stuff. They are very condescending and talked to us in a very rude way. We felt like we were being treated like children. Overall, we had a very negative experience at this restaurant and would not recommend it to anyone.

A tranquil spot by the river, ideal for a relaxing visit. While we only visited for dinner, I highly recommend spending the day here, immersing yourself in the serene surroundings and savouring the soothing sounds of Mama Earth.

Combing picnic, camping, lodging, spiritual classes, restobar, private spots, hiking. All blended into nature in the best possible way. Can't wait to see the upgrades for next year. 😍

I believe visiting yahchouch and jowz tanoureenis much much better. Thank you for being rude, not friendly and also I need to tick it ......... So tourist oriented. If you would like to get better place just visit google and search for a batter place.

Honestly i was afraid to go after reading all these reviews. However the location made me insist on going and seeing for my self. The amount of work and effort put in this project is majestic. A tropical paradise in lebanon. I loved the staff and hospitality. I advise anyone willing to visit this marvelous location to read the whats app catalogs and book accordingly to avoid any confusion. Only downside is that AC cuts off from 4-7 am. Nevertheless the cold river breeze solves the issue during this time.

The service is horrible. They watsed the good location on the river with such bad service. Do not recommend, food was very average and they missed one of the dishes we ordered.

Everytime I come to Lebanon I make sure to come back here. I discovered this magical place 2 years ago and I kept coming back over time. The experience has only gotten better and better. It is not too far from Beirut but it feel light years away from the chaos of the city. The service has never disappointed The staff is quick and very kind. The Latin American inspired menu is delicious. The rooms are very cozy and have everything you need. I am a big fan of the Domes and the Tree House. I really recommend taking a dip in the water in the morning. There are swimmable areas. Best way to start your day! I also got the chance to meet Omar, the owner. He is very friendly and has a really great vision for the place!

Amazing place to chill in summer, great atmosphere, breathtaking view. Welcoming staff, polite waiters, friendly and well trained. the service was fast and the food was very delicious and fresh, highly recommended.

Never went anywhere with worse management than this place. A sad waste of time and money. Seating areas are not up to standard. Dirty and overpriced. Customer service was horrible. They were checking how many people we are constantly to make sure we paid for the right number of people.

The location is amazing and the project is super nice (river, bohemian ambiance, décoration...). But there is 0 maintenance in the accomation, the outdoor shower was broken (dome) , the fridge didn't work, no remote control for the AC, they cut electricity at 12.30am, no water till they fill the tank at 10am (bungalow), no filtrage system in the pools etc etc.... We enjoy too much the location but need definitely maintenance.

Amazing experience All though the place was still under construction it was a great experience, but now it is truly a dream come true i recommend everyone to visit River Zen! Chapeau bas ! Amazing sceneries and management up to the standards

They said electricity was available before we paid at all time but we couldnt turn the refrigerator or the heat on although it was cold at night, dogs were wandering around our dome barking all night we couldnt sleep and the bathrooms are too far not suitable for showers , place is wonderful but very bad management .
