The
Exterior,
the
Interior,
the
Climb
and
the
Paid
Experience
First
of
all,
the
exterior
of
this
cathedral
is
among
the
best
design
of
about
twenty
cathedrals
I
have
seen
in
Europe.
Viewing
the
exterior
is
of
course
free
and
does
involve
waiting
in
lines.
I
give
five
stars
to
the
exterior.
I
enjoyed
my
ascent
up
the
tower,
but
have
to
say
it
is
the
tightest
squeeze
of
any
cathedral
stairways
I
have
climbed.
The
climb
wasn't
a
problem
for
me,
but
you
should
know
it's
pretty
tight.
Once
you
squeeze
through
to
the
top,
the
views
are
worth
it
Old
buildings
are
all
impressive
and
this
cathedral
is
no
different.
Some
cathedrals,
have
great
exteriors
like
this
one,
others
don't.
Few
cathedrals
have
both
an
amazing
interior
and
exterior.
The
interior
is
not
spectacular.
If
the
free
line
is
short
to
get
in
the
cathedral
then
I
would
go
in.
If
the
line
is
long,
there
are
many
other
sites
in
Florence
I
would
wait
in
line
for,
before
waiting
to
go
to
the
Cathedral.
If
you
paid
to
see
the
underground
church,
the
tile
is
impressive.
