Jim and Rosa are a precious couple and God loves them. Even a blind man can see the love and they are a blessing to the community, because more motels, less vacation homes, homes for families.

Rosa was friendly and informative! Great customer service! She seemed proud as she showed me the hotel grounds (so refreshing). I got a single king room (room 11). Cozy with all the necessary amenities. Bonus private deck with views of the mountains and the sound of the river. This would be perfect for a romantic get away or a place to get away from the hustle of city life and unplug.

We haven't been here in years. Ww are glad we came back. Very cozy. We came with friends and shared a two cabin combination with kitchen and lovely deck. Service was 👍

Beautiful cabins on the river that we hope to visit for annually. This is our second stay at the buttes resort and I’m glad we choose to stay here over downieville for mountain biking. The rooms are beautiful and clean. The amenities are fun! I highly recommend staying here.

Absolutely amazing service, a great location and super cute rooms. Owners really solid people too. I'm a PCT Hiker came In super late one night and they were able to get me a room and when they heard I ran out of food they even gave me tamales. Couldn't recommend enough.

From the moment we pulled into the parking lot, it felt comfortable, and Jim was so patient and helpful with my multiple calls regarding changes to the dates prior to our stay last week. Cabin 7 was absolutely perfect for the two of us, but it could easily accommodate 4 comfortably and we were able to make great use of the kitchen, preparing meals to be enjoyed on the deck. The cabin was very clean and cozy, and Jim and Rosalie (hope I got that right) were so hospitable, setting out the fire pit for us to enjoy a toasty fire with our friends after our hike to the Sierra Lookout. I only wish we were able to bring our dogs, so we can hike with them while having an awesome place to relax after our adventures, but that won't affect our desire to stay here again many times in the future. Sierra City is stunning and of all the places we've explored, it and the Buttes Resort is one of our favorites.
