An absolute gem in Florence. Leonardo's cocktails were fantastic and his families wine was great! We randomly walked past and saw the "happy hour 1800-2000pm" sign and said "why not." We were not disappointed. Friendly, personable in English (we speak very little Italian unfortunately) His wife was awesome as well and very friendly too. We only wish we had the opportunity to try some of the food on their menu. It looked great. All in all a great experience! Gracie, Leonardo!

We were fortunate enough to enjoy an incredible wine tasting here with Leonardo. Throughout the experience, they entertained us with stories and knowledge about the wineries, Italian food, the bar itself, and made us feel like family. The wines were not only better than some of their tastings we had, but probably twice the size for each serving.... And on top of that it was also very affordable. The food pairing was excellent, including items we could not find outside of Florence. Highly recommend this place. It has a lot of charm.

We went to Retrogusto at an intolerably hot summer night. The bar owner, quite a gentleman, opened up a new bottle of wine for us and kindly recommended his favorite, introducing the difference of various regions: one from Etna, I can recall. It was my very first class of Italian wine. Appreciate it!

We live a good glass of wine or a mixer or a cocktail 🤣. So when we walked into the Retrogusto we knew straight away a good drink and service was about to be had. Great atmosphere and service, good prices as well. Will we go back, well we're in Florence for a few more days, so you bet we will. 🍷🕺💃🍸

This place was recommended by a mutual contact who knew the owner Leonardo and oh boy, am I glad to have visited it! This is a very cute bar filled with interesting books, good drinks, and amazing music ( I loved every soundtrack that was played). Cozy and unique bars like Retrogusto are such a rarity. I tried the Hot Spritz and the Grappa and loved them both! Leonardo is a very warm and nice person and welcomes you with his Tuscan-style friendliness. I recommend this place to anyone visiting Florence and definitely checkout the book collection!

The owner, Leonardo, is a great guy. He's super friendly, serves good wine and great snacks. Would highly recommend for everyone that wants to have a great time! Also, if you a bit a bookworm, you're in the right place. Leonardo also sells books, both in English and Italian!

We walked by and were attracted by the tiny bar and git inside. We got really good recommendations for wine and had really good different wines. When we left due to closing time we took another bottle to go and got a nice wine opener as a present. We can highly recommend this bar! Thanks alot

Lovely cosy and friendly place, escape the tacky tourist traps for this cute and very friendly place. Delicious series of four wines and food to match, friendly owner accommodated our dietary restrictions. I’d come here again, lovely evening!

I spent a month in this neighborhood in April of 2023 and loved this wine bar! The wine selection is excellent and the owner and his family are wonderful. This is a cozy place where there is always great music, amazing local wine, and cocktails.

This wine bar was a gem of a find. From the high quality delicious food (you MUST try the charcuterie board with truffle mortadella and the smoked burratina) to the well sourced wines and the outstanding service, we had a fantastic evening. Highly recommend if you want to experience tuscan food and wine at their finest accompanied by the advice of the owner. We will certainly return! Thank you

Unpretentious local wine bar. Just some nice bites and friendly vibes (and good wine of course!)

After dinner find. The Pinot Nero was excellent. Small place but a great vibe. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Great prices and quite a nice variety of cocktails and local wines.

Absolutely loved this place. We visited most evenings for a glass (or two!) of wine and each one was delicious. Espresso Martini the best we’ve ever tasted and ‘Hot Spritz’ was a lovely take on a classic. Best of all was the welcome and warmth on each visit. Leonardo is a gentleman and looked after us exceptionally well throughout. Our favourite place in all of Florence without a doubt. Just brilliant.
