Best place to hangout with family. Beautiful greenery and good maintenance of the place. As of now, a ticket for an adult costs Rs.50/- during weekdays, and Rs.60/- during weekends and holidays. I had to go through the Huge rush on Republic day. Many animals along with their zoological names and features are available. It'll be useful for students too. It's so enjoyable to sit on the grass along with the family to have lunch. Free parking, drinking water, and rest rooms are available in between the park. Small Train is available to roam around the park, but it's so satisfactory to walk throughout the park which may take 5-7km to cover the entire park. Got to know that the snake park has been closed since 3 months. Not only the animals, one can enjoy the beauty of nature, can meet people from across the cities and states, and one can study the psychological behaviour of the the animal and human interaction here. Safety measures are being followed.

Nehru Zoological Park is one of the most visited destinations in Hyderabad.Nehru Zoological Park occupies 380 acres very big and large in space. Monday this zoo is closed. Remaining Tuesday to Sunday it will open at 8:30 a.m and close at 5 p.m. Plastic items are not allowed in side the zoo except the water bottle. Locker are available for your things. In the ZOO bicycle available for the visitors on Rent basis. Toy Train ticket per person is 40 rupees. Battery cars also available per person 100 rupees for 90 minutes. They will take you whole around the zoo. It is better for old age people they cover all places in zoo. Nearly 100 species of birds, animals and reptiles are housed at the zoo, including indigenous animals like the Rhino,Asiatic Lion, Bengal Tiger, Panther, Python, Deers, Elephants, Snakes, Giraffes all types of animals are here. There is also an aquarium, dinosaur park, butterfly park and tortoise house, crocodiles etc are there. Food canteens are also available inside.

Wonderful zoo spanning over 200 acres , they try to maintain well but sometimes lag due to public non-cooperation, animals are fed well and are in good shape. The infrastructure and canteen facilities can be improved a bit. Best time to visit is early in the morning when the environment is calm but you can expect more crowd coming after 12 PM. PROS: prime location , environment and neatness , fares. Cons: Limited product's in canteen , lack of proper maintenance of washrooms.

Great place for kids. A must getaway for nature lovers. It has got all noted animals. BOV, Boating, Toy train, Safari, AC bus safari are the means of travel inside Park. You can also walk all along. Sign boards are helpful. Try this if you got time of an hour to a day. You won’t regret.

It was a good experience, overall. The white tiger and the lion are the highlights. They should have set up a couple of play area for kids within the park. There are not many attractive things inside the zoo, for those who are not interested in animals 🙂 There is no clarity of the charges for transport within the zoo and there is no specific place for accessing these transport (I think they were EV vehicles). They should have mentioned it at the entrance or something. If you like walking, you can enjoy it here because it will take a very long walk to finally see the king of the jungle, Lion. Safari park was closed due to rains and the animals were shifted to different cage/places. What I didn't like the most is, they do not allow the visitor to carry plastic covers and which is good but, people are allowed to bring food inside the park and that makes the place dirty. I saw a lot of plastic inside the park where people are usually allowed to sit and eat food. This should not be allowed or at least there should be a separate place set up for the people to have their lunch (or snacks, whatever). The remains of these foods lie in the ground, bench and everywhere which felt very unhygienic 🤢. People also threw rice and other items in the pool where there were turtles and fishes. To avoid these, people should not be allowed to carry food or at least they should be allowed to eat at one or two specific places only and not be allowed to eat wherever they wish to, across the entire zoo.

Good for a half day outing near Hyderabad. You spend around 3 hours here on average. Ample parking is available in the premises. Park has a decent variety of animals. Full of lush green landscapes.

On Sunday me and family went to zoo park. It was an awesome amazing experience. We saw wild animals like white bengal tiger, wolf, jaguar. Leopard. Giraffe, Elephant crocodiles hippos, rhino and to the top of it, we also saw the king of jungle Lion, Missed birds and snakes. Though the zoo was under construction but it was overall good visit., plastics were not allowed, bring your own paper bag's is better.

There are two points I would like to let you know about the Zoological park. One is the animals here are healthy and they follow strict care it seems. And the other thing is for the safari ride, there is no proper management system. You need to wait for hours even if you've booked your tickets online and you exactly know how it would be in our country when waiting in queue. All the people will push us and make us more frustrated, that thing annoys a person who went to enjoy the ride. I highly request the management or the government or the sponsorship members to kindly rectify this issue. When the public walk-in is more and this is a place where everyone wants to enjoy the moments things like these will ruin the overall experience. Rectifying this issue will be of a high help. And secondly, the care and space provided for animals could be improved, there is no proper space for them to walk and feel free. Either necessary improvements in geographical area wise can be made for the betterment in the future. We always need to take more care and pay close attention to these wild animals as they are becoming extinct due to various illegal activities across the world. I really hope I can see a slight change in the future.

Best zoo I’ve ever seen. We started our tour around 9.30 AM and finished it at 2 PM. This is sufficient time to cover all the points via Battery operated vehicle and Safari. Ticket prices are reasonable. You can carry home food and reusable water bottles. Backpacks are not allowed inside but you can carry handbags.

I liked this place for spending time with family , friends. Here all type of animals were not available(lion,tiger, birds,peacock, giraffe, snakes, tortoise,rabbit ,elephant are available). Infrastructure is good. They are maintaining well. Inside park you can travel by train or vehicle(they are providing with cost). If you wanna visit with family or friends for spending time it is good place for that.

The place is so big it is ridiculous. It never knew about the Safari inside. it came as a happy surprise. Actually it is the highlight of the zoo. Also the deer park is breathtaking. The elephants were very shy though but it's okay it was afternoon when we went there. It was an amazing experience. Worth my time. Although the Hyena enclosure should be redesigned it was almost open for the animal to get out and start eating people which is only entertaining in films.

It’s well maintained and cleaned. Plastic bags are not allowed inside the park. Lots of parking available. You can opt for battery operated vehicle if you have senior citizens and kids with you. They have a toy train as well. There is a safari as well which is not worth the cost and always have a waiting time. Animals are well fed. Right from white tiger to rhino, elephant to Jaguar. You will see everything. There is a butterfly park, reptiles and giraffes. They have a canteen inside however it’s not upto the mark.

Really really cool place for animal lovers. It is especially great for families or friends visiting to spend half a day exploring various species of animals. You get to see a range of animals from ferocious, fun-loving, rare, and endangered species that have been kept well. Yes, since it's a zoo, most animals wouldn't want to be there and looked agitated, but as an educational experience for children, the upkeep is done well. They have a lion, tiger, and bear safari as well where if you're lucky, you get to see these majestic creatures up front. The variety of bird species too is good. Also, attended the snake awareness session that gave a just about the various species of snakes that could be spotted on our day-to-day lives and how we need to stay cautious. The food arrangement, choices and quality is poor - they need to work on it. Rest the frequency of the toy train and e-vehicles is good for inner commute around the park. All in all, a must visit for animal lovers!

This is a clean zoo with lots of animals of various species. Best time to visit is in the morning between 9AM and 10AM. It takes around 2-3 hours to see everything. They also offer toy train ride and Lion, Tiger, Bear and Deer safari at 75Rs per person in AC and Non-AC buses. Entry for kids below 3 years is free. Improvements needed - Drinking water. There are only 2-3 drinking water fountains available and none of them were working. They also have a place where they charge 5Rs to fill water bottle and that too was broken. Eating area - There is no proper restaurant or seating area. They don't even have a hand wash area. Do they expect people to wash hands in the open with their own water bottles or eat with dirty hands after roaming around half the zoo? Directions/Information - There are no clear directions or route to take for optimal viewing experience. Many animals didn't even have an info board outside the enclosure with their names and details.

This is a very big zoo. They have buggies and train inside for easy travel. They have AC mini buses for lion, tiger, bear and bison safari although the animals are in cages and not free roaming for the safari. The premises are kept very neat and tidy. Plastic is prohibited. Security is tight. Staff is polite. Animals are majestic. I especially loved the white tigers.

Note: Safari here is a waste of time and money. Tigers, Lions and Bears are put in a cage even inside the safari. You’ll anyways find lions and tigers even outside the safari. Visiting Nehru Zoo was one-of-a-kind. Considered one of India’s busiest and largest zoos, this place is worth a visit as it surely leaves tourists spellbound. It takes a whole day to cover the whole Zoo. Though there is toy train and electric vehicles, exploring by walk is any day better. Taking your own food is advised as there are only a few stalls that sell snacks. If in Hyderabad, this place is a must visit. You’ll find a huge array of birds, animals, fishes, mammals and reptiles.

My one of favorite place in Hyderabad. I Just Love nature n animal.

Beautiful place to relax on the weekends. 1. It took 2-3 hours to roam and visit all the sites as well as safari 2. For couples it may take 4-5 hours taking a slow walk, pictures and relaxing. 3. For families with kids, it would be enjoyable for the whole day. I prefer advanced online tickets to avoid queues as well as prefer walking rather than battery vehicles, if you can walk. For kids, the toy train ride for 20-30 mins may be worth trying. Overall a worth day. There is also a cloak room where we can keep our trolleys and bags. If you carry a laptop better lock it in trolleys or lock your backpack 🎒.

One of the largest zoological park of India. You can experience safari ride within it. The experience visiting it was great. You can find all kind of animals here. The space provided to wild animals also looks good compare to other zoo. I would suggest to go around 10 am in the weekends or holiday as its gets crowded later on.

Zoo park is good for family outing, can spend a day peacefully. Entry ticket prices are nominal. You can pack your food from home or you can also buy it there. Safari ride is so good 20-25 mins worth a try. there are variety of animals to watch out personally I felt so excited while watching Royal Bengal Tiger. It's a very big zoo park, however I suggest you avoid going on weekends or on any public holidays. As we may be be able to enjoy seeing many animals and birds. First of all the main thing is, in the past I went to this zoo in the year 2011, at that time it is really nice like all the animals are available and I can really enjoy that trip... But now, most of the animals like 40% of animals are not there and most of the slots are empty, and we are really excited to watch safari park but the thing is while we went to safari park by paying Rs.75 for a ticket, we really thought like waste of that because the place is really big and looking good but most of the animals are not there inside of that and it's really unworthy of that, so make this as an optional while you plan your journey, Apart from this remaining all are okay somewhat 😃, enjoyment will be more while we go with our friends, so plan as good as possible 👍🏻😉

Deal with it 3)Ensure you take debit cards with you so that you will get your tickets faster. 4) Carry Water bottle Masks and Sanitizers. 5) It is a long walk about 9k steps so carry snacks that are not wrapped in plastic. 6) Timings are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, you will take about 2-3 hours inside the zoo. The place is well-maintained, a nice place to visit with young kids and younger adults. It is always a welcome place that accentuates the enthusiasm within their thought processes. People who visit the place should also be responsible for the cleanliness of the place, but it isn't the case with many of the visitors. Hiking the entrance price might be one of the ways to avoid such people entering the premises.

I had a good time at the zoo. It is quite large and may take 4-5 hours to complete if walking. Arriving early will provide parking space, as latecomers might have a long walk back to their cars. Weekdays are the best time to visit. The zoo features a wide variety of birds and animals. We didn't have the energy for the safari tour due to long que. It's a good place to spend some time with nature. Also the management can be improved, it took us time to figure out the order and map placements are also kept in an odd place.

Had a delightful experience with kids at the zoo. On weekends, the zoo tends to be crowded, and certain facilities like individual battery vehicles may not be provided. However, everything else remains the same. I recommend pre-booking your tickets to save time. For the safari, opt for the non-AC bus for a clearer view of animals without glass barriers. The AC bus may have unclean glass. Luck plays a role in encountering animals up close; tigers and lions might come very close to your bus at times. Overall, it's a good experience. I suggest visiting between January-March and October-December. Zoo Negatives: Many are dissatisfied with the strict entry restrictions on baggage. While it's positive that no plastic is allowed for environmental reasons, they also prohibit shoulder bags, backpacks, and more. It seems like a marketing strategy to encourage purchasing additional bags. My suggestion is to refrain from bringing plastic items, including food packets, and avoid shoulder bags.

Visiting Nehru Zoological Park in Hyderabad was an absolute delight! The park offers a diverse range of wildlife in a well-maintained and spacious environment. Additionally, I highly recommend the Jungle Safari. One should visit the jungle safari to see lions, tigers, bears, and many other species up close. The bus ride through the jungle safari, lasting nearly half an hour, is a memorable experience, well worth the price.

One of the best place to visit especially with family and I'm sure kids will enjoy even more. When it is summer time you can see lot of visitors from out of station. Only thing is you should carry your own water bottle otherwise you have to drink unclean water from (water tank ) which is build by zoo management. Nehru Zoological park popularly known as Zoo park is one of the most visited places in Hyderabad. It is spread across on a vast area. It is very well maintained with cleanliness on top priority. Almost all species of animals can be found here. You can plan for a day tour with family or friends for a picnic type holiday 😀. BOP (Battery Operated Vehicle) and Toy train can be rendered for inside tour. Trust me even if you spend your whole day you will not be able to cover every part of it 😁. You can enjoy 10 mins boating ride on Mir-Alam tank. A widespread area is available to park your vehicle. Go and have fun with your friends and family.

Good place to relax and enjoy your day. The aminities in the park are good. There are a lot of animals, so you can bring your children and young ones to the park for their practical learning and growth. There is a nominal fee to enter the zoo. Plastic bags, even chips packet is not allowed to reduce littering. You can also take your own vehicle inside but not sure if that facility is still available.

Had an amazing experience. The zoo is very large and it may take up to 4-6 hours to complete the tour by foot. I recommend visiting as early as possible for car parking. If you arrive late, you may have to park in the last slot and after the tour is complete, the hardest walk will be to get to your car. It is also recommended to visit during weekdays. Inside the zoo, there are almost all kinds of birds and animals, including a white tiger which was an awesome experience. We were too tired to visit the aquarium and wait in the queue for the safari tour, so we may cover that next time. If you love nature, this is a must-visit place.

Amazing and mesmerizing experience. Be ready to walk a lot if you are planning to visit. It takes about 3 to 4 hours to completely see everything. There are a lot of animals, reptiles, birds, and also there's a butterfly garden and fisheries. There are cafeterias and eating areas if you already got food from outside. Good picnic spot. If you don't wish to walk so much then you can take e-vehicle as well. There's a toy train too which shows around the zoo. You can also get a Safari experience as well.

This property is pretty large, recommended to book the golf cart or the toy train if you don’t like to walk long distances. They have a great variety of animals here. The property is well maintained and dust bins are available in close vicinity. They also have food joints in the property & dedicated lawn designated as lunch zone, where you can enjoy did you carried from home. Note they don’t allow packaged food though to avoid littering. The parking could be a mess as it’s a long rectangular lot full of loose sand making it dusty & crowded.

I would say The Nehru zoo is one of the 5 best places you can visit in Hyderabad. It's a great place to spend a day with family/friends. Watching wonderful animals up close is an incredible experience. The park is neat and clean. There are garden areas designated for picnic/simply relaxing. The big predator cats, The nocturnal park, The fossil park, The reptile park are amazing. Not to miss are also the Elephants, Giraffe, Rhino, Hippo and the Ostrich! If you're lucky, you'll see the white tigers swimming!! A Perfect place to spend a day especially in winter season. Plan your trip anyday except on Mondays as the park remains closed that day for maintenance. Also make sure you don't carry any plastic bags or containers or bottles as they are strictly not allowed. You can carry cloth/paper bags, steel boxes/containers for food and water.

Small zoo. But nice experience. It only take around 3h to cover everything. The cell of each animal are small. The animal looks unhappy and lazy.A nice place to visit though. You can go with kids and have a great time 😊😁.

Not met according to our expectations. The width is so big almost 200acres but inside very few animals and birds. Entry fee 60₹ If would have gone in rainy reason could be far better as those location might look greenery. Yes too many plants and specially flowers are so attractive but we could not find butterflies and birds on those plants and tress. You won't be disappointed if giant animals like giraffe and elephant and tortoise. When went on January 26th 2021 as it is a national holiday , too many people, but felt insecure in pandemic moments. They provided small narrow gauge trains and battery vehicles 70₹ per one person. Even they provided a mothers, baby feeding center. That's wonderful, beside washrooms everywhere what I liked was drinking water (mineral water) for free and parking slots divided into 3 blocks too much space. Nice roads you can relax everywhere you want and some places they designated like eating spots to have our own meals. Lions (safari) is under maintenance

Many animals are available in the zoo. Butterfly park was not maintaining well and there is no butterflies. Snake park timings are between 8.30AM to 4.30 PM. Elephants show is available only for on Thursday at 11.30AM . Toy train, battery vehicle, safari also available. Better to bring the home food since zoo Canteen food was not good.

Nehru Zoological Park is great for fun and the perfect place to enjoy the weather. The animals are well-cared for, and there's always something going on. I'm so glad I was able to get my entire family in for last month by taking out a voucher from there!

We had visited on the weekend the crowd was to high due to that , climate was Good for us. It's better to take battery cart instead of walking all around if you have kids , elderly people. Carry water bottle on any day there are water filling stations but only cafeteria . Train is just for short review of place around.

Everything is fine, apart from the entry ticket for the colour fish. Nothing unique is offered since they charging 10 Rs for that. Don't even attempt not worth for it. Apart from that really a nice place to visit with family.. when I went most of the animals are active which is really good..

One can spend whole day in there. Place is fine enough and there is a safari (15-20 mins about, separate ticket). Entry ticket is 70 .. but not allowed to carry ones bag, need to buy their bag compulsory from there for 30 rs, just for money. Place is fine better go walking each point as from one point to other it's about 300 - 400 meters and most places can be covered easily within the time. They have electric vehicles to take us to 5 places just nearby with some extra charges. Place to eat is fine inside. Overall fine for a one day visit.

A must visit place in Hyderabad. Well maintained. Electric vehicles and toy trains are available. As the zoo is spread over a very large area, it is recommended to use electric vehicles, especially for senior citizens. Recommended to opt for the Non-AC Safari bus, because the waiting time was very very long for the AC bus, during my visit. Better to carry your own food. Booking of all tickets, including Safari, can be made online in advance. One can find different species of Animals, Mammals, Birds, etc. One full day will be good, to cover the entire zoo. Plastic carry bags are not allowed inside the zoo.

Amazing experience !!!!!! Should start early if you wish to see all! If you start at 9am then by 5pm you can enjoy everything !! This place is worth visiting, especially with young kids and animal lovers. Packaged food is not allowed inside the zoo. They checked your bags and asked you to empty packed foods like chips, biscuits, etc, in paper bags available at the counter. Water bottles are allowed. There are cafeteria at most of the point with tea and food. I suggest you walk around and see the spots instead of taking buggy or any vehicle if you are young. It took me 2 hours to see 5 points in buggy as I have my old mother with me. I have visited this zoo twice and love visiting again, especially Jiraffe, Lion, Hippo, and Bears. We visited the zoo park in the mid-afternoon, despite being in a peak traffic zone within the city. Surprisingly, the atmosphere was pleasant and calming, and the well-maintained park offered three sightseeing options: toy train, battery vehicle, or walking. We purchased our tickets online but offline counters were available at the entry gate. We opted for the jungle safari, exploring restricted zones with open lion, tiger, and bear areas. The safari was thrilling, but be prepared for a wait, especially on weekends or holidays (minimum waiting time is 30 minutes). With four halts in total, covering all species and the complete zoo, our experience at Nehru Zoological Park in Hyderabad was enjoyable. Good Place for one day family trip. You can start from morning and have some homemade food in the resting parks and continue sighting till evening closure. Zoo authority can provide more clarity on Maps and directions and proper path to explore every corner. Currently its very confusing as u can easily get skipped for some animals.

This is a clean zoo with lots of animals of various species. Best time to visit is in the morning between 9AM and 10AM. It takes around 2-3 hours to see everything. They also offer toy train ride and Lion, Tiger, Bear and Deer safari at 75Rs per person in AC and Non-AC buses. Entry for kids below 3 years is free. Improvements needed - Drinking water. There are only 2-3 drinking water fountains available and none of them were working. They also have a place where they charge 5Rs to fill water bottle and that too was broken. Eating area - There is no proper restaurant or seating area. They don't even have a hand wash area. Do they expect people to wash hands in the open with their own water bottles or eat with dirty hands after roaming around half the zoo? Directions/Information - There are no clear directions or route to take for optimal viewing experience. Many animals didn't even have an info board outside the enclosure with their names and details.

Right in the heart of city. Excellent place for a day picnic with family and friends. Kids will love it. Almost all the animals. You must buy tickets online. Bagpack are not allowed. Cloth bag is allowed. Try not to carry any plastics. Lots of parking available. You can buy battery vehicle tickets as well if you do not wish to walk. There is a safari as well which is not worth the cost and wait. Animals are well fed. Right from white tiger to rhino, elephant to Jaguar. You will see everything. There is a butterfly park too, not recommended. Hope you have a good time.

Had a good experience. Went with family and experienced a peaceful day out with them. Do recommend the safari inside if you want to have the full experience. Is a very good place for kids though you'll have to carry them for a bit unless you take the paid carts to go around the zoo . Which is recommended whenever you get tired. All in all it is worth the time and money in my opinion.

Wonderful Experience. A genuinely great place to visit with friends or family. The area of zoo is vast and huge, the variety of animals and reptiles is also amazing ranging from white tigers, giraffes, monkeys to crocodiles, pythons and cobras. Toy train ride is also available which runs throughout the zoo. Safari is also available but at an additional cost. Electric rickshaws are also present for ease of senior citizens and children. It had been a long time since I last visited a zoo, and it was a fantastic experience. I arrived early in the morning to avoid the later afternoon crowd. With fewer people around, I could freely roam for almost 2 hours, observing various animals such as giraffes, elephants, ducks, monkeys, different types of birds, ostriches, rhinos, hippos, cheetahs, leopards, lions, bears, deer, Gaurs, and more. The giraffe and ostrich were particularly impressive, as they were awake and active so early in the morning. I had never seen a rhino before, and it looked amazing. A little disappointing was the fact that I couldn't see the hippos and lions as they were still sleeping. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

Huge area with n number of animals, birds, different species. Park was very clean. Must visit place. Takes atleast half day to visit properly. Battery vehicle is available, which is a good option if you want minimize the walking distance. Jungle safari bus takes you the restricted area where all the animals are roaming freely in different sections. I personally didn't found it very interesting. One Food stall available at the center of the park. Would not recommend having food there. Overall enjoyed alot!

First things first, make sure you pack food (lunch) in non plastic bags and bring reusable water bottles. The food inside zoo is not so good. Plastic is not allowed inside and your plastic bottles would be labelled for ₹10 which will be refunded if you bring them back. You can buy paper bags outside zoo to carry snacks. The entry fee is around ₹60 on weekends. I felt very bad looking at animals locked up in cage, I just hope the Zoo staff take good care of those beings 🙏🏼 as they took care of zoo. But I really loved watching them move around like they were in control. The Lion 🦁, Elephants (boss), bear, himalyan bear, white tiger, giraffe 🦒 stand out. I literally stood starring at the giraffes almost an hour, You'll feel they are so close. The bear 🐻 would nicely ask you to feed him standing on his legs, make sure to pick some apples 🍎 oranges or bananas to share with him. He'd love them. The Lion in this zoo was truly majestic, you'd be lucky to watch him moving around. There are other wild cats also nearby the same cage. Unfortunately I missed the Safari, as this section was under maintenance and people working said it will be open for visitors early Feb 2020. Hippo, Rhino 🦏 were relaxing at some corner 😑 I couldn't get a closer peek. Butterfly 🦋 park was nice place to walk. Different species of birds, monkeys, wild 🐃, deers, tortoise will h you on the way. The reptile park and Fossil museum were also under maintenance 😭 I enjoyed walking along the zoo but I also took ride on battery cars and the train 🚆. That was fun 😀

Hello Again, Due to Covid, as like most parents, we have avoided taking kids outside. Due to less effective now a days, just dates to take them to the Nehru Zoological Park, Hyderabad this Sunday. What I really thought is, at the time of lockdown for more than 3 months, Zoo authorities might have developed and maintained the zoo n the animals very well. When I see the overall zoo, it's really disappointing maintenance and service to the Wild Animals, Birds & Snakes. In most of the wild animal places, looks like the water has not been replaced after the heavy rains. All the water levels are almost zero, if the wate available in for the designed spaces, they are dusty and muddy. I felt the number of animals has been reduced and the maintenance going every where. Lion safari is being developed now... Don't know how many days it will take to reopen. All the snakes places are closes as like The Birds. Apart from the wild animals, there is no great development happened in recent years. No proper canteen for hygienic food and there is no contol on the price of the food items. Only good thing is that the battery operated vehicles are available to help you to cover some of the zoo. A Big Zoo contain only 3 elephants is really bad. Much of the good thing is have plenty of Crocodiles. That too in a single place. The water of the crocodile territory is really pathetic and getting very ackward smell. I still wonder, many of the animals are being adopted by some good private organisations, then where our funds are heading or being used for? Overall, I felt a bit good for watching the wild and very bad for not developing as per the place available. I can see many places are abounded or useless. There is no proper reason why snakes places has been closed even after the lockdown has been removed a long long back. Anyway, this is my personal view and you may enjoy the available source. It was a great experience I went to the zoo after 20yrs recently so I'm happy to see animals so close. On the other and I also feel sad for those animals that they spend their own life there only in the zoo to adjust entertain so I feel like it's not fair for them It is what it is but I feel like they're zoo should also social also take care of their help with I know they are taking it good but also I feel like this should do something for their entertainment do like games or something because a trainer animal train knows better what how to make them happy all the time no matter words so that's so how humans and also animals be Happy together.

Its a Well maintianed zoo and good care will be taken care of all the animals in the enclosures. It's a very crowded place on weekends. We can buy the tickets online from website that would save your time instead of waiting in queue near the zoo and allow you to get in zoo with the tickets bought online. We can also buy the tickets for fish aquarium,battery operated car online from the website that would only save your time from the long queues and also if you wish not to walk around that would be helpful to roam around . Cloak room is also available and they charge for the same. Parking is also available and ample space is available. Would suggest to go in early to avoid the long queues for parking at the entrance.

I love this place very mch as you can find so many kind of animals and birds there. It is good if you go with friends and it is having food and drinks too. The white tiger is quiet famous there and as well ypu can take a cycle on rent to explore and as well there is an open car which will take you to tour the zoo for those who dont wanna walk along with that there is a train in the zoo which give you the close look with the animals and its pocket friendly too.

I went to visit the park on the weekend. It was kind of crowded, the whole walk of the park is around 6km. Good place to learn about animal life. Safari vehicle is currently closed due Covid. The staff is friendly and physical distancing guidelines are followed. There's a fine if found not wearing a mask in a park.

I have been to this place a number of times, before 2 years, before 2019 this Nehru Zoological park was better. Now they have very less number of animals. Ticket price is very less, now they don't have a variety of animals. The need to add more different different animals to attract. Should be improved alot. Highly crowded place.

It is the best zoo across India, in which you may be interested to visit. The zoo kept neat and clean, and wide range of animals, birds, reptiles etc. But there are some rules and regulations for visitors that they must follow like: Polythene bags, Bedsheets, Use and throw plastic bottles ( you can take home water bottles). These are some material which prohibited at Nehru Zoological Park.

Nehru Zoological park is Located at Kurnool / Bangalore Highway, a must visit Place for Children & family to enjoy. Went to the zoo with lot of expectations, but didn't find all the animals active due to Summer Heat. Not find birds like Macau, Parrots, Sparrows as well and BOV is literally a total waste of money as the driver drops whereever he wants. Animals are not active due to excess heat, and water sprinklers make them cool but poor things they are wandering for cool shelter. Best time to visit is in Rainy and Monsoon seasons, Sep to Feb months are best time to visit Zoo. Toy Train is the one nice experience for kids to enjoy the ride and Animal Safari is also available which is a memorable experience Canteen is available for snacks & Food. Didn't find many animals, reptiles and birds this time. Overall, kids enjoy watching them at the Zoo & nice time for family as well.

A very well maintained zoological park of India, one of the largest zoological gardens in India. Amenities like presence of RO water, electric golf cars make your day at the zoological garden a very pleasent experience. Children can learn a lot with their time spent here. Animals are kept in huge enclosures and not in a typical cage, imitating as close as possible to their natural habitat Was very impressed with the ways pythons and snakes were kept, ensuring their body temperature are maintained constantly

Best place to enjoy weekend with loved ones. We have taken lunch from home to have there. They will allow outside food also. They won't allow plastic items. Weekend place is more crowded. Canteen also available. Fast food juices cool drinks..etc available. Paid cool water facilities also available. This place can be planned for one day. No of animals are less compared to other states. In weekend it is advised to book in advance to avail electric vehicle facility or train facility to view location. Train will run for 15 minutes per batch.

Best place to visit with family to spend time... Seen mostly all the animals which are in jungle... You can take ticket online... No need to wait in a line to get a ticket... You have online link to buy ticket near ticket counter.... Also there is a green rider battery vehicle inside the park those who can't able to travel for a long distance. Per person 100rs charged... A day it's at least required to visit this zoo.

Ticket prices during week days is 60 rupees per person and 75 rupees during weekends and other public holidays. Zoo will be closed on Mondays. However, it can get a bit crowded during peak hours, so visitors should plan their meals accordingly. Despite being impressed with most aspects of Nehru Zoological Park, we did notice some areas that could be improved. The signages and information boards were clear but could be more widespread, especially near some lesser-known species. Additionally, the restroom facilities need better maintenance and regular cleaning to match the overall standard of the park. In conclusion, our family trip to Nehru Zoological Park was a memorable and enriching experience. We immersed ourselves in the wonders of the animal kingdom, learned about conservation efforts, and enjoyed quality time together amidst nature's beauty. Very attractive can learn more about animals and there behaviour

Firstly, I would like to say that the place has developed a lot when compared to when I used to visit as a kid myself, as I visited the place recently I can see many rules in place to maintain hygiene and safety inside the park. Use of plastic is restricted, as a precaution any kind of plastic bag or other plastic is not allowed, you can carry water bottles on which a sticker is pasted and a deposit of 10/- is collected in order to ensure that an individual when exiting the park returns the plastic bottle and collects the deposit amount. Also, one is not allowed to carry backpacks, instead you can use jute or any cloth bag to carry necessary things.

Zoo map is not displayed properly, lot of low maintenance, entry ticket 70 to 80, train ticket separate , electric vehicle 110, safari ticket separate. Not so good food.

Neatly maintained, the information boards can be maintained well. You can buy your tickets online to avoid the queue. Car parking is available at a cost of 50/- You can opt for safari ride (AC bus) for 80/- pp. Just that the animals are sad, which is usually in such small enclosures. Best time to go in the morning and you can see everything by noon. Carry your water bottle and they are refilling points free and also for a cost of 6/- per litre.

Very good zoo. It took us 6 hrs for full zoo tour. We took bus ride and also safari ride. Waiting time for safari ride is 30 - 60 mins. Book your tickets online so that you avoid long waiting time and queue. MONDAY CLOSED.

Well maintained park. Recommended to use battery operated vehicles they provide because the park covers a vast area. Some points we couldn't visit because of time constraints. Safari is also recommended. We got to see lions, tigers, spotted deer, bears etc. but spotting these wild animals is not guaranteed. Drinking water facilities everywhere. Must include in your itinerary.

We visited on 24th October 2020. If you love greenery, birds and animals, this is a good place to visit in Hyderabad. Safaris, aquarium, reptile park, toy train, boating are closed because of corona and some ongoing removation. But there are a good number of other animals and birds. We saw Lions, Bengal Tigers, Elephant, Bears, Hippopotamus, Rhinoceros, Wolves, Hyena, Jackal, Zebra, Deer, Tortoise, Cranes, Ostriches, Peacocks, butterflies, Emus, crocodiles

Especially the toy train is amazing as it gives the rough view of 350 acres Zoo, so that we can divide what to watch first and last. I went during full cold climate time and corona exists , more animals are not available , way is a bit confusing but make sure u follow the map . More vast space can be provided for animals , the animals will go crazy like they are prison , parking is 20 per vehicle , toilets exist , u can go family picnic here , eat at eating spots only , don't throw any plastic stuff inside wild animals because it will be very tough for management to clean them .

Only hard cash accepted inside, which is bad part. Choose either battery car or toy train. Because both covers same route. Can carry food and have nice vanabhojanam experience, but remember only non plastic items are allowed. Even though few things are closed, price remains same. As per earlier post, go early to have safe and crowdless visit.

Beautiful zoological park, all types of animal, birds and others are available in zoo, for complete visit to zoo needs 5 to 6 hours time, with help of electrical bettry operated vehicles, can covered almost in 3 to 4 hours. Feel like in a leap of nature and look like a real forest. Creations of some infrastructure also like a theme of forest seems like that. This is the first Zoo in the country to get ISO 9001:2015 certificate on Dec 2020 for hygiene maintenance, animal care, medicare, food processing, animal breeding etc. Congratulations to the entire Zoo authorities and crew for their efforts to make this possible 💐👍. I've been to the Zoo y'day 18th Dec, 2020. Below are the updates. 1) Weekday adult ticket fare 50/-, child fare (3 to 10 yrs) 30/-, still camera 100/-, video camera 500/-. We can pay through debit/credit cards (or) cash. Weekend fare is Rs.10/- extra. 2) Bike parking fare is 20/- for whole day. Not sure about the car parking fare. 2) I walked the entire zoo and couldn't find any litter, it is maintained neatly. There are layout maps at regular distances to guide us on covering all the animals. 3) Water bottles are allowed. Food is not allowed if brought in polythene bags. Better to carry them in tiffin boxes. We have canteen and food shelters to eat the food brought with us. Also, apart from the regular drinking water points, there is one mineral water point, 1 litre cost is Rs. 5/-. 4) Lion safari is closed, it's currently being renovated. It will reopen after 3 months. However, we get to see them in cage. 5) It's closed on Monday. 6) More animals need to be brought in. We couldn't spot Elephant in it's place. Overall, it's a best place to take your kids, family and spend the entire day with fun.

Its been a delight to visit the Nehru Zoological Park after a long time with kids and they were super happy to watch the animals there..as precautionary steps Birds area was cordoned off due to bird flu scare..the safari area nad many major spots are under renovation which will add more charm and excitement to the place. Jan-feb 2021, is not the right time to go to zoo, as lot of highlights of zoo are closed due to covid and bird flu restrictions. There is no Safari, Aquarium, night animals, reptiles, birds and no boating.

Now it's good, 13 Feb few enclosures are closed because of covid and bird flue, like snakes, night enclosure, fishes..etc. when I was kid I saw lot of different bears, monkeys, now missed alot

It was just like public garden. It wasn't like zoo.. Animals were poorly maintained. Very very less animals to see than expected. We didn't get to see reptiles or snakes etc as it was closed. It wasn't satisfactory.

There is no savari

After corona times(Masks still on), it is a must visit picnic place for children. The park is huge and i can say maintenance is good as well. One advise to all is not to visit on a sunday as it is more crowded and people have to wait hours in order to board the train or the golf carts. Also better to go in morning and not in afternoon in order to enjoy to the fullest.

Pleasant Experience Watching The Wild Animals.

Nehru Zoological Park located near Mir Alam tank in Hyderabad. It is one of the most visited destinations in Hyderabad. Zoo hours vary by season, and the zoo is closed on Mondays. It's almost in 350 acres. Now birds n reptiles sanctuaries restricted to enter due to birdflu. the safari ride also not available now. May be from March 2nd week it will be started. Battery car rides n small train rides are available now. plastic carry bags n back packs are not allowed inside the zoo, better carry your own cloth bags. It is very good place to bring kids.

Also called as Hyderabad Zoo, Nehru Zoological Park was established in the year 1959 but it was only in 1963 when it got opened for public. A must visit for animal lovers, this zoo houses around 250 species of fauna. All the animals are kept in surroundings similar to their natural atmosphere. The number of animals have reduced. Most of the enclosures were empty. Slow on the renovation part.. the only leftover animals are the white tiger, tortoise, hippo, rhino and the lion. Not met according to our expectations. The width is so big almost 200acres but inside very few animals and birds. Entry fee 60₹ If would have gone in rainy reason could be far better as those location might look greenery. Yes too many plants and specially flowers are so attractive but we could not find butterflies and birds on those plants and tress. You won't be disappointed if giant animals like giraffe and elephant and tortoise. When went on February 21 2021 as it is a national holiday , too many people, but felt insecure in pandemic moments. They provided small narrow gauge trains and battery vehicles 70₹ per one person. Many animals and houses closed . Can’t find much monkeys, bird park closed for bird flu and for breeding season , Snake park closed for maintenance Lion safari closed for maintenance Nocturnal animal closed Aquarium closed Boating also not available Toy train opens later in after noon when crowd is more per tip 40 adult and 30 child and every ride is 15 min . Last ride at 430 pm I personally feel we could improve more maintenance and provide more better and good qualities of food in canteen .

Day by day it is becoming like a park more than Zoo park. No animals, no maintenance. I request not have a visit to zoo if you are a animal lover. One good thing they don't allow any kind of plastic into park but if you want you cane hide and take into , this is all people will do here. But staff follow strict practise of collecting money at lease for car parking 50 rupees and entry fee of 60 for adult. I feel if you pay 110 rupees worth you will not find any thing in the zoo. At least zoo keepers have learn from mysuru zoo.

In afternoon due to heat most of the animals are inside the caves made for them. Cleanliness is good except near canteen area. Tickets of weekends are costlier compared to weekdays. Also travel service is good inside the zoo. New modification of double barricade has improved more safety.

Nehru Zoological park is so nice to visit with friends or family, you can plan a small picnic with your family in the weekends, it's very huge park , there are lot of route maps provided on boards that makes easy to the visitors to find the way wherever they wants to go, and free water facility is there which is appreciable, but food courts are very less inside the park and cost is moderate. it's a good experience.

This place is very very nice to visit with the family members. We can enjoy a lot. There is a electric vehicles provided by the zoo park department. For handicap people it is very helpful for them. The maintenance of zoo park is very good. Important thing is they don't allow the polythene covers carrying with us. We should use the paper covers for snacks.

Average typical zoo. We visited during feb 2021 and the safari was closed because some work was going on. We did get to see the animals in enclosures. We saw a white tiger, a lion, 2 bears, hyenas, few birds, 2 giraffes, deers, black bucks, an elephant, a hippo and a rhino. Park is huge. There are electric buggies one can hire. Either the whole buggy for 2 to 3k for 2 hours duration. Otherwise one can get a ticket of 70rs per person for hop on hop off buggies. Even with the buggies there is considerable amount of walking that is has to do. Apart from the optional buggy ticket there is a mandatory entry ticket as well. Plastic is banned inside. But you can carry food and eat inside at designated locations.

The food is little costly inside.. Being a local citizen I recommend to ensure a Hygiene should be maintain whenever you visit.. Requesting you to please don't tease animals I have self respect for them Even there are some security guard's at animals bay... Zoo is closed on every monday... Battery vehicle inside for adults at cost of 70/- per head on weekends and weekdays is 60/- per head.. No plastics are allowed... Bring your food in non plastic bags.. Lion safari is closed due to maintenance... Aquarium and nocturnal park are also closed due to maintenance.. Snake park also closed..

Its a medium of learning. We visited in Mar 2021. Captivity is not preferred. The lockdown in COVID took a toll on us, mentally. Think about how it disturbs the animals. When we visited, the wolf and fox were looking like the street dogs - Malnourished and weak. There was no energy in them. Just like how we felt in the lockdown of Summer 2020.

Over all it is good. Ins the zoo all type of animals are there like Lion, Tiger, elephant, deer, crocodiles, foxes, cheetahs, different type of birds, snacks, and all the small animals are also we can seen in this Zoo at the low cast. And sea animals are also available but little bit only. In is zoo so may food & drink shops are available but it not include in entry ticket, you should pay for it, plastic item are not allowed in side the zoo except the water bottle. Locker are available for your things. Battery car type vehicles & train's are available in side the zoo. Drink water & toilets are available in the zoo for free. Lion, tiger safari is not available for some day from onwards due to heavy rain.

It's amazing experience. Easily can spended your 4-5 hours at weekend. Varieties of animals, so greenery, well cleaned by GHMC. there is Safari Also but not that interesting. Although very well maintained. There is snacks hub available with Normal rates. You can carry your home made food and eat. Bring Water bottle your own or you'll have to pay 35 rs for one bottle. Overall nice experience. Enjoyed.

The overall experience was only okay. Many cabins were empty. Maintenance of the Zoo fell below average. - Entry Ticket for Adult is 60/- and For children above 2 years it is 40/-rupees. visitors must and should follow the rules which includes - No plastic is allowed inside the Zoo even a chips packet.if you wanted to carry chips then take them in paper bag. - No backpacks allowed , No leather bags allowed. - Donot carry any plastic items which also includes buffing plates.

Safari ride was worth it, better take battery vehicles if accompanied by elders/children to reach the safari ticket counter. The long waiting time and far ticket stations for the rides are disappointing. Toilets are okay, but could be maintained better. All in all a good experience, fun filled day!

One of the most funny thing is to ride toy train except that overall i would say it's okay. There is lot of things which needs to be done as per my though in the ways there is no proper sign boards to see the animal only at the front of bay you will find the names of the animals to see but you were unable to visit them all. Also the battery cart facility is good but needs to be enhanced the service for better experience.

It was nice experience, it's quite big park to cover by foot, takes 4-5 hrs to cover tour. Opening time 8.30 am & closing time 4.30 pm. Very disappointed with safari facility. They have 2 types of safari facility 1 for park and 1 for zoo. Total waste of time and money on safari. Would recommend walking tour of park. Kids will have learning with enjoyment.

This Zoo might be very old but it is well maintained and clean. It is upgraded with electric vehicles for people who cannot walk to various places inside. The ticket for electric vehicle is not very expensive too. Best place for family with children. You can carry food inside but plastic covers and bags are prohibited also backpacks are also not allowed. Only handbags are allowed. There is a canteen inside for refreshments and food. Safari was good but sometimes you don't see many animals as they don't come out often. We did not have time to go on a train but will definitely take next time. Note: All the tickets for entry, train, electric vehicle, safari, aquarium is taken at the entry counter itself.

If you are nature lover you must visit here. You can see here different types of animals and birds. You can see here different types of snakes Lizard and crocodiles. You can move here by battery operated car or by a small train. Additionally you must visit safari. Definitely you will enjoy here.

Small area but packed with great animals and birds.. i saw Austrich 1st time. It is a huge bird. Also the lion-tiger-bear safari is very good. Just like you are in a jungle.

A place where we can spend whole day!!! I visited zoo on Saturday, very pleasant and peaceful, enjoyed a lot, covered all animals, very well maintained, we have cycling, EV vehicles, train and safari inside the zoo. Perfect place to enjoy with family & friends.

We visited over weekend but early morning. So very less crowded. Our experience was very good and my kids enjoyed it alot. Battery operated cars are there we utilized it but the way the provide pickup/drop points it does not help much to avoid walking. Overall good experience and recommended to visit if you are visiting Hyderabad.

Ill be honest, i felt that the animals were being respected to their habitat, the audience were teasing such noble creatures, the pup was separated from the mom, where you can see both of them trying to escape, and the people weren't respecting the animals space, therefore all the animals were at the opposite side of where people were, They did not look happy, I thought of adopting some animals, but i dont want to be a part of such a thing. The crowd needs to learn to be better and the staff have to take care not to let anyone bring food into the park, they think its a picnic spot its really sad. I'll problem never visit a zoo ever again

Best place to hang out for the entire day. The place is very big. To enjoy and see all the animals, you need to be there at 10 AM. The ticket counter will close at 4 pm, and the zoo will be closed by 5 pm

Utterly dissatisfied 😒. 1.Safari is not worth watching. Lot of waiting time for both AC and non AC tickets. No proper waiting place. 2.Security are very rude, not allowing back packs Which is convenient for us while carrying food and water for kids. But not allowed. Asking to buy cloth handle bags outside. 3.Parking is a big mess. Someone hit my parked car. Some security should be there when people are taking back their cars. 4.Battery cars are not that helpful. we need to get down at every point and should come back to the same point and wait again for the battery car. Better walk on your own and continue by taking some rest. Booking online tickets before hand is not required for any service like visiting tickets, safari, battery car, toy train. You can book tickets same day on the spot can show that, hardcopy print is not required. This is the only best thing i experienced.

Incredible india. So many varieties of animals and birds, and their different species. Not all of them are caged. They are out in the open inside a safe perimeter. Nicely maintained. So it has a safari and zoo visit. The zoo is supposed to be visited by foot. There are options to visit via Buggy, but I would suggest you skip it because ultimately you have to walk to checkout the spots. This zoo has a huge variety of animals from white tiger to royal Bengal tiger, lion, lioness, bears, ostriches, foxes, birds, butterflies, giraffe, etc. A must visit spot. The entry is 80 rupees and only online payment.

Nicely maintained by State authority. Lush green habitable environment for all kind of animals and birds with proper care and facilities. Jungle Safari is amazing.Must reccomended. However, they should increase the no. of buses for jungle safari so that waiting period will be less.

We visited around 9a.m on weekends so wait time is less. But if u visit after 11 wait time will be more. Go picnic spot with kids. Kids will surely enjoy a lot. This will be a great experience for kids and adults too. Don't forget to carry water bottles. Out side food like chips packet and all not allowed. Don't throw plastic waste inside Zoo. Home Food allowed. I would recommend an entire day inside zoo. Instead of hurring take small breaks and watch peacefully.
