The Most Famous & Important Temple In This Area & Also It's An Old Temple with Lot of Religious importance . Famous For Marriages (for which You have to Register in Advance). The belief in Ghagarburi Maa Is Quite strong With The Locals . You can expect A little Bit of Rush whenever You will come so You Might Have to Wait In Queue . This place is Quite Big With A lot of Parking Space .

Established in 1620 by Atul Prasad Chakraborty, the Maa Ghagar Buri Chandi Mata Mandir is a serene oasis on the outskirts of bustling Asansol city. The temple exudes a unique spiritual aura, where one can feel the divine presence of Maa, believed to reside here and bless devotees by fulfilling their wishes. The temple area itself is well-maintained and resonates with the hum of prayers and hymns. It's advisable to leave shoes behind in your vehicle for a more immersive experience. After a spiritually enriching visit, one can satiate their hunger at the local dhabas and hotels situated nearby, serving delicious local fare. It's a place not just for worship, but for a holistic experience of culture, faith, and tradition. A must-visit for anyone in or around Asansol, the temple offers peace and a glimpse into the rich tapestry of Hindu religious practices.

Several higher level spiritual practice camps were organized here under his guidance. Now it is the campus of Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya. In November 2000 Srijan Sankalp Vibhuti Mahayajna was organized here marking the completion of 12 years Yugsandhi Mahapurashcharan which was attended by 4 million devotees. Shantikunj has been visited by several saints, leaders and scholars, including HHDalai Lama, Mahatma Anand Swami of Arya Samaj, Swami Ramdev, Bhairon Singh Shekhawat (vice president of India), famous environmentalist Sundarlal Bahuguna, Murari Baapu, Abdul Kalam, Harish Rawat , PM Narendra Modi, Former President Pranab Mukherjee and many foreign dignitaries etc. At present Shantikunj is functioning under Shri Vedmata Gayatri Trust, headed by Mrs. Shailbala Pandya, daughter of Pt. Bangale: Ghaghar Buri is the folk deity of Bengal. To the north of the town of Asansol, on the banks of the Nunia river, in a mud-bearing shrine, is the mother of Sri Sri Ghaghar Buri, the awakened goddess of Radha Bengal. The word ghaghar means - jhanj badya and ghungur Many call him another form of the sixth. The temple was established in 1820 on the orders of mother Ghagarburi. Ghagarburi Chandimata Mela is held every year in the field in front of the temple to commemorate the 1st Magh of 1820. Evidence suggests that from time immemorial, the mother of Ghaghar Buri has been worshiped in uncovered temples and under trees. This is Goddess Sri Sri Chandi. There are no idols. There are only three rocks. In the old days, there are mentions of different methods of worship of gods and goddesses. Home Yajna is performed here on Ras Purnima. The area adjacent to the temple is inhabited by tribals. 2018-11-23. Date of collection 2019-03-14. 卐 ❤❤ॐ❤❤ 卐 Thanks ... (Original) Shantikunj was established in 1971 by Pt. Good children's park in the area. Entry fee is Rs. 5. For the rides or activities you need to pay separately. Charges are given below as of today's visit. Train: 15 Rs. Horse: 10 Rs. Seesaw: 10 Rs. Micky mouse jumping: 15 Rs. Boating: 60 Rs. The place is though very small, but comparatively in the area this is something Kids friendly.

It is a place i have visited with parents since I was a child. Time changes structures. It was more open before, now it's concreted up. Meanwhile-I was told the recent floods, made them choose to renovate the stone gods place. So now we are shown the photo of stone gods, while renovation happens behind. People go with devotion. We all can keep the place clean to do our bit.

This temple is under construction now a days due to some issues. So you can give Puja where we make our line at that room . After that it takes upto 15 minutes in queue and approximately 10 minutes for Puja. It is located in left side of National Highway - 2 . Normal Prasad cost - ₹ 55 rupees Prasad with chuni and some more things cost - ₹ 290 I prefer this Store because it is close to temple and you can get the best service here. Park you car or bike and then remove the foot wear then wash your hands and then take the Prasad and then do the Puja and after pay the money. I prefer you to go to this store it's probably the best among all of them.

Due to lockdown, after 2-3months this Mandir is Finally open, with lots of Precautions,I Must say...once upon a time, can't imagine I'll use such words, yeah but there is a time where you a long queue just to get entry inside the mandir, but now only max . 5 people's are allowed inside the temple, Firstly few people's check your body temperature and give sanitizer to sanitize your hands if they gave yes signal then only you can enter inside the temple. Looking like this ,less crowd outside the temple,it's disheartening but that's the present reality. If you are visiting,go with full precautions, mask and everything else.. Stay Safe stay inside Your Home 🙏❤️

Located on the banks of Nunia, Ghagar Buri Chandi temple is situated on Kali Pahadi in Asansol. Ghagar Buri temple was established in 1620. It is believed that Goddess Ghagar Buri is one of the incarnations of Goddess Chandi. The Ghagar Buri temple is a must visit for ardent devotees of Goddess Chandi. The temple is not very huge. It is a small temple and a small rivulet is flowing beside the temple which looks like a small waterfall. Locals worship Goddess Ghagar Buri with great devotion. The idol of Goddess Ghagar Buri is established in the form of a Pindi which is adorned with silver ornaments. This orange and pink colored temple has numerous carvings on its wall which represents the traditional Bengali culture. Apart from the main temple of Ghagar Buri, the temple premises also houses a shrine for Lord Ram along with Goddess Sita, Lord Hanuman, and Lakshman....

It is situated by the side of National highway, just opposite to the entrance of Asansol city. It is one of the oldest temples in Asansol. The deity here is goddess Chandi. Offerings and pujas are performed everyday, however Tuesday and Saturday are particularly crowded. The crowd management system here is good.

A holy place but all priest s are just money minded. They take money for every activity and also entry. Even entry has many doors according to the amount of cash u pay. If you want to visit a temple with faith in God and want to sit in front of God with peace - not a place to go. The beggars outside just steal your money be cautious.

I visited Ghagharburi Chandi Mata Mandir, one of the places of interest in Asansol. The word ghaghar means ghungur or musical instrument. There is no idol here, there are only three rocks, the goddess Chandi has resided here. Shirnakaya Nuni river is flowing by the side. There are many rumors about the mother's grace. This tea made in earthenware pot after tasting the famous tea here is great in taste. Like many tandoori teas.

An age old temple goes by the belief of the local people of Asansol. There is a folk tale behind it. The pandit takes care for individual anjali. If you believe and wish it will definitely be successful

This temple is located right at the beginning of Asansol, when you come via highway. Location of this temple is unique, I don't know much about its history as I went there for someone's marriage, they conduct marriages, and I don't know how the pandits are able to get the marriages done within 40-50mins, like is it for real, damn! Leaving that aside, the temple is great to visit, the view is nice, and overall, it's a very devoted temple, do visit this place! And don't forget to have the tea, which is also famous btw! Haha.

The temple was established in the year 1620 by Atul Prasad Chakraborty. Ghaghar Burhi is in Asansol city, by the side of the National Highway in West Bengal, India. It is a small shrine dedicated to Goddess Kali. It is the oldest temple of Asansol. Worship is held every Tuesday and Saturday. A country fair is held on 15 January every year. Animals are sacrificed as part of worship. Opening and closing timings are... Thursday 5:30am–7pm Friday 5:30–7pm Saturday 5:30–7pm Sunday 5:30–7pm Monday 5:30–7pm Tuesday 5:30–7pm Wednesday 5:30–7pm. Nearest night stay option is in Asansol.

Very jagroto(God fulfills everyone's wishes here and people get their results in a very short time) temple. Attending the main puja at 7 am is so soothing and fills us with positive energy. It is very beautiful as well . There are many more temples beside the main temple which are equally beautiful. The main temple is currently under renovation so the pujo and anjali all are done just beside it infront of a frame of the model of actual goddess and not infront of the model itself . Other than that it's one of the main tourist spots in Asansol.

Old temple of Asansol city, out side of Asansol city, many pilgrimage of Asansol and outsiders also come here for devotion. This temple is near about 400 years old and located on NH 02. The Chandi Mata, Kali Mata and Baba Bhairav residing here, both of three were sitting together

The most precious & famous temple of our Asansol area, I have been coming here since childhood, a very lovely place. The area here is also very big. Day by day the temple is getting better. During the season of weddings, picnics & mela it gets very crowded...
