After days of research and checking out apartments, The Hamilton House was by far the greatest option for us because of the price, incredible location, cleanliness, size of the apartment, and the wonderful staff. Price: although there isn’t a fancy gym nor rooftop pool, the price of rent at Hamilton for the cleanliness (never ever saw a single rat in the building, and I lived on the first floor) and reliability of staff (George was always so friendly and helpful, Sondra was attentive to all details, Tony always greets with a smile and has the best stories, Tom is genuine and has a heart of gold, and Julia is the weekend warrior with the most positive attitude - I’m missing others and I’m sorry!). Location: it is literally right in between the downtown city vibes of DC and the quaint, historic vibes of Georgetown; it is literally right in between two major metro stations, connecting you with the entire city; walking distance to DuPont and the famous farmers market (like a 6 min walk!), Foggy Bottom, GW and GW Hospital; 10 minute walk from both Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s; walking distance from LA fitness or Balance Gym; and best of all is that is absolutely super, super safe. If I hadn’t changed jobs and left DC, I would still be at The Hamilton House. You can’t go wrong choosing this apartment as your home.

I've lived in the Hamilton House twice -- once from 2005-2009 and then I moved back in 2023. I had an amazing experience the first time around, with two excellent managers (Bruce & Ernst). I was disappointed to see that they had moved on. But I found that the new manager (George Travis) filled the very large shoes that were left behind. He made everything about moving in and living in the Hamilton House very easy, and his enthusiasm can be felt wherever he goes. I also greatly appreciated how the hardworking building maintenance team always greeted me with a smile and a "hello." The front desk staff -- Walter & Tony -- always made sure I was taken care of for packages, deliveries, and so on. The Hamilton House staff makes it the best place to live in Dupont Circle, and I'd stay forever, if I hadn't purchased a condo.

I lived at Hamilton House for a year from 2022-2023. You cannot beat the location, right in Dupont and nearby West End and Downtown. Walkable to a lot of eateries and businesses. In between Foggy Bottom and Dupont metros and several bus stops right outside. With the walkability naturally comes the noise of the city, so just something to be aware of if you are noise sensitive. The apartments themselves are quite nice. The building is a bit older, but the nice thing about that is the walls in between units are concrete and you can barely hear your neighbors. It was also really nice to have the paid parking garage as an option in this area of the city. The management is wonderful. George goes above and beyond to make it feel like a home, which meant a lot for someone like me new to the city. Walter at the front desk has a great attitude and is always willing to accommodate with packages, reserving the elevator, etc. The maintenance team is also great and any requests I had were resolved same day. Highly recommend for anyone looking to be in a great spot downtown with the best management team around!

I’ve been living at Hamilton House Apartments for almost a year now, and it is without a doubt the best place I’ve ever called home!! Every single person who works here goes above and beyond to make sure we feel safe and secure. The building is impeccably clean and cared for, the rooftop has a beautiful view of the city, there’s a pool, and the location is in a safe and fun part of the West End! George with the main office, Walter and Anthony and the front desk staff, and the maintenance team are the kindest people you’ll ever meet! They’re always on top of handling everything, I’ve never had to wait for or worry about a maintenance request. It honestly makes a difference to live in a building where you know everyone and they remember you as more than just another resident. I would highly recommend anyone looking for place to live in the West End/DuPont area to check out this building! Other pros include having a Trader Joe’s within walking distance, several coffee shops nearby, and the location is so close to DuPont Circle without having the deal with the noise! And they have a coffee and tea bar, which is an absolute life saver!

We were Hamilton House for just 1 short year, but it was great. Great location, well-managed building, friendly, competent and attentive staff, convenient fitness room, pool was great during the summer. Highly recommend.

I had the great pleasure of working with George Travis to rent an apartment at The Hamilton House. George is a superb professional who exceeds expectations in meeting customers’ needs. I look back to the time I lived at The Hamilton House with fond memories, thanks to all that George did as the Senior Property Manager there. My interactions with George have always been so positive. I have never left a review before but had to share what a positive experience I've had living at Hamilton House. My apartment unit was recently (and tastefully) remodeled and is in excellent shape; I have only had to call maintenance once for a minor issue and they were incredibly responsive. What makes Hamilton House stand out is its exceptional staff. From the building managers to the front desk and maintenance staff, everyone is incredibly kind and willing to go above and beyond to be helpful. They are what makes this building feel truly like a home. In particular, Walter at the front desk always brightens my day - my interactions with him were a big reason why I extended my lease for another year. Hamilton House makes me feel safe, comfortable, and taken care of. I could not recommend living here more!

Walking distance to a lot of restaurants, businesses and George Washington University. The apartments are quite nice, safe and well maintained. The management led by George Travis, and aided by Emmet is very professional and cooperative. George goes above and beyond to accommodate any requests you may have. George was specially cooperative knowing I am new to the city. Walter at the front desk is very helpful and has extremely positive attitude, full of energy and is always willing to help when you reach the building. The maintenance team, Mo, James, Henry and others in the team are all helpful and ready to solve maintenance issues same day. I will highly recommend the building due to great management and support team.

I highly recommend The Hamilton House Apartments. For the last 16 months It was my home. I had to move out because job related things but, I’ll choose them again if I have to be back in the area. Superb staff, they pay attention to details, exceptional concierges like Walter, Tommy, Tom, Julia, Yolanda and so, Dinora, Jose they always have an smile for you. And of course the Manager, George, he pays attention to details and always committed to help you out. Living there is an experience, I’ll miss the free hot chocolate/coffee/tea machine. The get together parties among the neighbors promoted by the staff members and the rooftop, a lovely place to be at nights. Finally, there you have a walking distance access to major grocery stores, close to a vivid nightlife and close to the Metro (blue and red lines) Thanks!

My wife and I have been in Hamilton House for almost three years and have loved living here. The building is well-maintained and in an excellent location. We have never had a large increase in our rent living here year to year whenever our lease was up, even at times when this seemed typical from what we'd hear from friends. Probably the biggest reason that we are sure living here was the right choice is the people who work here. We have really only had positive interactions with those working at Hamilton House, but we especially are grateful for George who has gone above and beyond to help us! We would recommend this building in a heartbeat to anyone looking for a lease in DC.
