My husband has been raving about this place for months after trying the Al Pastor tacos while working in the area- well he finally took me there today and they did not disappoint!! Absolutely delicious!! Will definitely be coming back.

Delicious quick bite tacos. No seating area available. It’s strictly take out. The chips were crispy and not too salty. The guacamole was fresh and stayed green until the next day, amazing! Overall Carmelos is a great and affordable place to grab quick tacos or burritos. The staff was super friendly!

Excellent tacos! The homemade tortilla is so good, warm and fresh. I am vegetarian and was impressed by the options available to me. I got 2 slow cooked mushroom and potato tacos with the red salsa which was so delicious. Also tried 1 nopales taco as well. That one was good too but the mushroom was my favorite! Added cheese on all tacos because why not ;). Great place for a quick bite. Ordered via self service and food was out within 5-10 minutes. They were also really nice about avoiding the green salsa on my plate due to my avocado allergy! Can’t wait to bring folks back here and try other things.

This place delivers some good tacos. A little bit of a wait but not too bad. No place to sit - only take out. Parking is difficult. They had a tent outside the window for rain but it was small. Think they could do a better job with the presentation of their menu. Overall, solid place for tacos though. Would definitely return.

Tacos are delicious over here! Service is fast. Great location. Perfect for a quick meal. Favorite: quesibirrias/birria special.

The best food I’ve had while staying a weekend in Capital Hill. Walk up window, next to Hillcrest marked - they accept credit card, and are fairy quick with preparing the order. The tacos are soooo affordable and they pickle their own vegetables / delicious!

Obviously, there is no seating room. The food is delicious, and fire even! Great flavor and care obviously gone into the robust flavors that didn't rely on heat to mask the bland. Will be going back whenever I'm in the area.

Fast, affordable and amazing food! Ordered the Al pastor burrito, which was very delicious, as well as the super refreshing homemade horchata!
