The two of us shared the steak dinner for two take out (July 10, 2021), and it was perfect. The beef tenderloin with maitake mushrooms was sublime! The beef was so tender and juicy (even after being heated in the microwave for 30 sec), the mushrooms had such a subtle smoked flavor, and the sauce enhanced everything. We were so glad to have gotten the set that included the burrata and the baby beet salad - both were so good and accompanied the steak well. The baguette was superb as well. Portion size was on point. Will definitely return to try other things! Pickup process was smooth, clear, and safe. Bravo bravo bravo!

Two starts. Love small neighborhood places! Love building community. But $23 for what seemed like a lean cuisine… Very expensive. A bit too hipster for the atmosphere. (Trying too hard to be posh and trendy and yet look casual). If you don’t like fish, the smell might be hard to take. The portions are small - quite small. The flavor combinations didn’t harmonize with each other, it was more a competition on my tongue which felt a bit unsophisticated. It honestly seemed like a bistro type lean cuisine. Cutesy place. Good location. Love neighborhood smaller spots. But this felt more like trying to show off with the small plates, large prices, and over zealous plating art. Not sure we’d go back but we had a nice evening out.

Always a great meal here. The green beans are a perennial favorite. Had the duck which was new to the menu but absolutely outstanding. If you haven’t tried the teas, they blend their own. They are really good. Staff is kind and chef is awesome. Love mkt

Phenomenal food and service to match. We tasted ravioli, duck, scallops, two desserts, coffee, wine, and more. Would highly recommend you go!!

Walked up on a Wednesday night and managed to get an outside table. Wine and whiskey were perfect. The green beans were tasty. The polenta fritters were amazing. And the beef tenderloin was one of the tastiest dishes I've ever eaten. If you have a chance to eat here, do so.

We absolutely loved the patio seating - perfect for a sunny Seattle evening! Our waitress was wonderful, attentive and easy to chat with (even though they were short-staffed). Delicious food and drinks, as always! We love eating family-style here so we can try a wide variety of their dishes. So many fun flavor combinations and all cooked to perfection! We always order the pappardelle and green beans (sooo good) and they typically have some seasonal variety of burrata (which is to die for). The duck and steak were amazing! Thanks Mkt. for being the perfect spot to celebrate my husband's birthday!

Really a lovely meal and great service in these weird times. The scallops were fantastic- negroni was perfectly balanced, and the fritters were the best I’ve had. Enjoyed chatting with the chefs briefly too- very considerate and friendly!

Went 1st time for SRW. Barrata was amazing. Pork was ok but the asparagus and other bits with it were delicious. Halibut was wonderfully cooked but disappointing sides. Chocolate Amaretto cake was dense and good but we had better just in the last week with other SRW meals. We had 2 lime cocktails (Gin and Rum based) which were incredibly made. Staff were very busy but friendly and attentive. The place is small.

An amazing experience! I came from Brazil and this was the best restaurant I’ve been in the Pacific Northwest. The portions were very generous, the gnocchi and the sungold salad are a must. For desert, I had a homemade semifreddo, it was the best thing I’ve ever tasted. Loved it! 🫶🏻

Good food let down by the rest of the restaurant. Bill was $350 for 3 people. (2 adults and 1 kid). Cons: - Skip the Shania Twain and Kylie minogue playlist? Music was awful all night and didn't match the surroundings or food. - Service wasn't welcoming. Asked the server how their night was going when we entered the restaurant and they said "Fine. *Pause* I'm here." Also they were dressed really sloppy in a slouchy hoody. Again... didn't really match the food or prices. - Scallops were great, but didn't enjoy the beet sauce. I get it - it looks striking, but didn't compliment the scallops at all and I actually like cooking/eating beet components for meals. Pros: Gnocchi alla Romana was fantastic. Overall there are way stronger Italian choices in Seattle at this price point so I don't think we'll be back.

I first visited MKT in 2016 and had a phenomenal experience- from the food, it the service, everything was top notch. So, when we were looking for a restaurant to celebrate my birthday, I was excited to go back. Unfortunately, the experience the second time around was seriously disappointing. Food- the food was mostly good! The green beans were the star of the show. My husband had the Lamb and unfortunately it lacked flavor and was over cooked. I had the gluten free Campanella, which was awesome. However, I ordered it with the soft egg and it was forgotten. After it was brought to the table separately, I proceeded to cut into it and it was almost hard boiled, not to mention it was cold. Big bummer. Our friends had the duck and scallops and were really pleased with their dishes. Service- the service is what will keep me from returning. It was awful. There was one server for the restaurant , which wasn’t an issue. However, from the moment we walked in and gave our reservation name the server acted as though we were an inconvenience and just seemed irritated. As we ordered and asked questions, we were met with snide looks and snappy remarks. The service was pretty slow, but we were okay with that. Unfortunately as we did get our food and drinks, not once were we asked how things were. On top on it all, the server was wearing sweatpants and a sweatshirt, presenting in a very sloppy and unprofessional manner that didn’t match the restaurants vibe. Atmosphere- loved! It is small and intimate. Great open kitchen. Overall, the service really was the downfall and would prevent us from returning. Such a bummer!

The food was superb. We enjoyed four appetizers and three entrees. All were excellent. Desert was unique and very tasty Service was excellent.

Excellent salad and dessert. Unfortunately, surprisingly bad scallops (undercooked in a huge pool of beet sauce) and shockingly overcooked lamb such that it was hard to tell the difference between the bone and the meat as they were both so hard. UPDATE 11/8 Mark was really kind in our conversation and explained some challenges they were experiencing in their kitchen the evening we visited as it was day 1 of Restaurant Week. I look forward to giving it another shot in the next month or so.

Our appetizers and desserts were all excellent, the mains were good but not great. Sadly after an hour and a half, only the appetizers had been served. The service was generally not great. Would go back for Seattle Restaurant Week prices, probably wouldn’t go back for full cost given the service.
