The resort is about 1.5 hours from Ghatsila station. It is in a very remote place amidst the Sal jungle. Well-maintained and clean. The staff are very cordial and welcoming. They fed us Desi chicken and it was delicious. An excellent place to spend a relaxing weekend with family and friends.

Purulia always gift us something different. This district has unique terrain and landscape. Duarsini forest one of the unique and hidden place so far. Here, nature is so quite and calm. Tribals are the only inhabitants here which makes the place so unique. This place holds unique tribal culture also and it is the perfact example of tribal and forest co-existence. Basically, duarsini situated near Jharkhand border. We travelled there from Ayodhya Hills. . .

For those who enjoy nature, the location is a hidden gem. The location, on the boundary of West Bengal and Jharkhand, is easily reachable via Ghatshila or Jamshedpur. The tourists will be in love with the lush, green forest that is surrounded by hills and a flowing river. Just beside the roadway, there is a temple called Duarsini temple.

This is a good place.... It has a small river, a dense jungle, hills. Actually it is the part of Dalmadal hill of jharkhand.... But I think Ayodhya is better than dwarsini... Anyway it is a good place for picnic, tour,etc...

The place is a hidden gem for the nature lovers. Situated in the West Bengal and Jharkhand border, the place can be accessed easily from Ghatshila, Jamshedpur or Jhilimili. Lush green forest surrounded by hills and flowing river will make the tourists speechless. There is a temple called Duarsini Temple just beside the highway, but actual worship of the goddess is done at a place just beside the temple. A small river is flowing by the side of the temple. For night stay there are some cottages at Eco Tourism Centre under W.B.F.D.C., which can be booked online. But, one should remember that the mobile network is very feeble around the places. If one likes to stay a couple of days in the natures' lap then this is an ideal place.

A beautiful, less explored place in nature's lap within a stone's throw front jamshedpur. A 1 hour road trip from jamshedpur. One can enjoy the beautiful hilly terrain area while travelling.

Nestled in the heart of West Bengal, the Duarsini Forest is a hidden gem that offers an unparalleled escape into nature. My recent visit to this mesmerizing forest left me awe-inspired, and I can't help but share the enchanting experience. The journey to Duarsini Forest is an adventure in itself, with winding roads that take you through quaint villages and lush landscapes. As you approach the forest, the air becomes fresher, and the cacophony of urban life is replaced by the soothing sounds of rustling leaves and birdsong. The biodiversity of Duarsini is simply breathtaking. The forest is home to a diverse range of flora and fauna, including rare species that are a treat for nature enthusiasts. The towering trees form a dense canopy, creating a cool and serene ambiance that invites you to explore every nook and cranny of this natural haven. One of the highlights of Duarsini is the diverse birdlife. Birdwatchers will be in paradise as they spot a myriad of species, from vibrant parrots to elusive owls. The forest offers numerous trails, each leading to unique spots where you can observe wildlife in its natural habitat. The experience is both thrilling and educational, providing insight into the delicate balance of ecosystems. For those seeking a tranquil retreat, Duarsini Forest has several camping sites that allow you to immerse yourself in the heart of nature. The clear night sky offers a stunning display of stars, making it a perfect setting for stargazing and connecting with the universe. The Duarsini community plays a crucial role in preserving the forest and promoting sustainable tourism. The local guides are knowledgeable and passionate about the region, adding a personal touch to the exploration. Engaging with the community also provides a glimpse into the rich cultural heritage of the area. Infrastructure is basic but sufficient, aligning with the goal of preserving the natural beauty of Duarsini. Accommodations range from eco-friendly lodges to camping options, ensuring a close connection with the environment.

Duarsini is one of the popular tourist spot in Purulia district. It is located near Bandwan more accurately it is 15 km far from Bandwan block or market. The main attraction of this place is it's natural beauty. Beautiful hills are scattered in both side of road throughout the way from Bandwan to Duarsini. There are 3 govt cottage which is built and maintained by forest department Govt. Of WB. Cottages are beautiful and ac/non ac both options are available. Few hotels are present near the forest where breakfast and lunches are available at moderate cost. From Purulia busses are also available up to Bandwan. From Bandwan local vehicles are available.

This place is in the Dalma Range under Chotonagpur Plateau. West Bengal and Jharkhand border are here, you can also visit Ghatsila about 30 km from Duarsini Burudih Dam is also nearby, also there are few staying options available, among them WBGovt. Duarsini Prakriti Bhraman Kendra is quite decent to stay with. This olace is beautiful in every season, Come here in Monsoon to enjoy Lush Greenery and in winter you can do lots of outdoor activities along with a jungle trail and ofcourse you can feel the cold 🥶

Serenity and Duarsini are synonyms. Loved the place. People who will visit the place should maintain the serenity. But very painful to observe the situation of the local residents; how little their needs are...

A good picnic spot surrounded by hills from two sides. The name Duarshini originated from a tale of Shib and Durga. The eco resorts about to open for the public soon. Only Vodaphone signal is available.

Duarsini is surrounded by the dense trees and forests. The common among them being Simul, Piyal, Sal, and the Palash. The vivid landscape flourishes with greenery circumference by small hillocks and fields. Watching the villagers farming in the fields amid the serene natural beauty is a beautiful experience. Several medicinal plants and herbs can be found growing inside the forests. Bird watchers can spend quality time clicking some magnificent photos of the local and water birds. Wolves, bears, elephants and hyenas, have been spotted by travelers at the forests surrounding the village. The best part is to sit and relax at the banks of the river Satgudum and watch the water birds like cranes, herons, and kingfisher wade past across the river waters. Board a train from Kolkata to reach Ghatshila railway station. Book a cab to Duarsini, about 25 km away from Ghatshila.

We stayed in the non ac dormitory. The room was very dirty with insects all over. The service people did not bother to contact us during meal time. First day we had to wait for 3 hours for our lunch although we informed them previous week. There was frequent power cut as well from evening to next morning.
