Matunga,
my
haven
for
South
Indian
cravings,
recently
led
me
to
the
legendary
Ram
Ashraya.
Stepping
inside
felt
like
a
trip
back
in
time,
with
the
walls
adorned
with
chalk-drawn
menus
and
old-school
wooden
chairs
whispering
tales
of
countless
satisfied
palates.
The
air
buzzed
with
a
familiar,
comforting
warmth,
a
testament
to
this
restaurant's
enduring
charm.
My
craving
for
authenticity
led
me
to
the
classic
Medu
Vada,
and
oh,
what
a
revelation
it
was!
The
crispy
exterior
gave
way
to
a
fluffy,
melt-in-your-mouth
interior,
bursting
with
the
subtle
flavors
of
lentils.
Each
bite
was
a
perfect
symphony
of
texture
and
taste,
a
true
ode
to
Udipi
cuisine.
And
what
better
accompaniment
to
a
Vada
than
a
steaming
cup
of
filter
coffee?
Ram
Ashraya's
brew
was
strong,
aromatic,
and,
I
confess,
a
tad
too
sweet
for
my
liking.
But
here's
the
beauty
–
the
staff,
as
sweet
and
welcoming
as
the
coffee
itself,
readily
adjusted
the
sweetness
to
my
preference.
This
simple
gesture
spoke
volumes
about
their
dedication
to
customer
satisfaction.
As
I
savored
my
coffee,
I
observed
a
delightful
scene.
Guests,
young
and
old,
families
and
friends,
all
united
by
the
love
for
Ram
Ashraya's
timeless
flavors.
The
smiles,
the
chatter,
the
aroma
–
it
was
a
symphony
of
pure
culinary
joy.
Verdict:
5
out
of
5
stars!
