Five stars are not enough to rate doctor. My mom at the age of 40 underwent total thyroidectomy - removal of total thyroid gland on 22/12/2023 and the surgery was performed by DR. RAVIKUMAR K sir. I have never seen a doctor with such politeness, humbleness, patience, dedication, promise, hardwork and of course a great smile. I cant compare any thyroid best surgeon to him. We had asked many other doctors in a different city regarding the thyroidectomy post results and none of them give security about my mom's voice will back. But Ravikumar sir said " Don't have a thought that you will loose it, 100% your voice will be same." We believed him completely and underwent the procedure. And now as he said he my mom's voice was back within 3 hours of surgery and she started talking to me completely normal. The scar is not much clear and looks like skin after 2-3 days. Within 3 hours of surgery my mom started to eat drink talk and walk normally. Doctor is literally treated us like his own family member and we never felt like a doctor but a brother only. We later went on a check up and he waited patiently for us for more than 1 hour. He is always available on phone calls and text. The thyroid surgery was a complete success by Dr. Ravikumar for me which was performed on 22/12/23. From the initial consultation to post-operative care, his professionalism and compassion were super. The pre-surgery communication was great addressing all concerns and explaining the procedure in detail. I felt seeing God directly in him as he behaved so politely, humbly, patiently and with utmost care. He treats each and every person like his close people including all the nurses, staff. I have never seen a doctor with so much of simplicity. He is more than a down to earth person. Nevertheless, his experience on thyroid surgery is amazing as the surgery felt like a swish. I live in a different city and asked here most of the reputed doctors about damage to voice and none said that it will be as normal as before. But when we asked Dr.Ravikumar, he gave so much surity about returning of my voice and as he said my completely normal voice came back just after 2 hours of surgery. My mother aged 71 had to go through Completion thyroidectomy, however it was quite complicated because of its location, also it was her second thyroid surgery after 31yrs. Right on the first sitting, with his physical examination I could derive a conclusion that he is the Surgeon I should take my case forward. He was able to fairly explain the case to me and other family members as not to worry from the case being malignant.
