My sister wanted to find a safe place for her accommodation during exams in Coimbatore and we came across Kurinji Ladies hostel through Google reviews. She had a great stay there and happy to share the summarized review here. This review is for the Kurinji hostel in Peelamedu near Syndicate Bank and Surya Sweets in Coimbatore. Pros: 1) Very much nearer to the PSG college of technology, five minutes walk from the college. 2) Safer location - secured hostel with CCTV surveillance outside the rooms. 3) Decent food - Both veg and non-veg available. Food is good, healthy and most importantly they serve food on time. 4) Budget Friendly - The rent charged is reasonable and fits our budget considering the services they offer. Also, the rent is cheaper on comparing with the other hostels in the nearby location. 5) Cleanliness and service - Rooms are cleaned on daily basis and the complaints / issues on any services if any, are attended immediately. 6) Amenities provided: * Common Washing Machine * Food including hot beverages * Television in each room * Drinking water dispenser is provided in each floor * Wi-Fi * Hot water facility available Cons: 1) It was told that GenSet is available - But backup was not provided during power shutdown. 2) Television provided in the room but the same is not working. Overall , it's a good place especially for studies. Outside visitors are strictly not allowed. But being from the other city, all we expect is to have a safe and hygienic place of stay, which the Kurinji has provided with no hesitation. Right from the day one where we made a call, Mr Arun - The one who owns this hostel is being attendive. All the issues were promptly attended by Mr Arun himself. On the whole, it is highly recommended. If we have to rate, we can give 4/5. Edit: Stayed in Room No: 14

I stayed here for about 18 months and it is easily the best hostel in the locality (there are so many in this area, BTW). The hostel management takes hygiene very seriously so if you actually do the bare minimum of keeping your room clean, you're in for a good stay. The hostel has cab facility, washing machine and instant heater facilities in each floor (in addition to the solar water heater connection that is directly provided in each bathroom) and a TV in each room. I stayed here as a student and I have the habit of studying in ungodly hours. I hated disturbing my roommates and the management was considerate enough to let me use the common space for studying. I also had classes during late evenings and used to reach hostel in the wee hours whenever I visited my hometown but they always accommodated my schedule (many other inmates were also treated the same way). My ratings for the hostel are, however, for the following reasons: 1. The Internet Connection : Can't stress enough on how they actually delivered what they promised. Most hostels are lying when they say they have WiFi facilities, their routers do not have the range and their internet plans are terrible. The WiFi facilities here are pretty decent. Few rooms that are far from the router (especially the ones in the first floor) may not have sufficient signal strength but if you find the right spot, you can enjoy good speeds. I had comfortably streamed many online lectures for my study. 2. The book collection: The dining area has a bookshelf with some very good books which are available for borrowing. I read a few books that I had always wanted to here. My only regret is that I couldn't read more. The value for money in this hostel is unbeatable. I couldn't have asked for a better stay!

its a home away from home!!, my sister had a pleasant stay and finished her graduation with good academics score... we feel totally safe with the hostel management. very helpful and kind hearted !!! Safety and security value for money....

This hostel room is good .. food is not bad. But the way they treat people shouldnt be good. that cooking laddy is rude to people who's staying in hostel. warden laddy also has some head weight and she treats the people very ridiculous.they doesn't respect people there.. I had stayed three hostel in coimbatore. They are different and mature..but here people not mature. They treats people like children. Anyway I hate those days when I was staying there.

Hostel life for 2 yrs at Kurinji was the best stay ever, away from home. Caring and very kind owners(family). Kurinji has its best hygienic home food, cctv cameras with security, free wifi and cab service, Television in every room, any time hot water and laundry facility, seperate cot with cupboard and especially a mini library which you will never find anywhere. Everything at its best affordable price. Kurinji is recognised as one of the best hostel in coimbatore.

The owners take utmost care in making us feel at home and resolve any complaints we may present as soon as possible. The rent is affordable. All warderns are friendly. Respected sir and maam, I’m from theni, I stayed in Kurinji hostel branch 2 for almost 8 months. The maintenance of the hostel was very good from cleanliness to food and toilets were hygiene, regularly sanitised. Definitely worth the pay. The warden maam( Jeeva maam ) were especially kind and looked after like our parents. Thank u so much for everything

I have been there for past 6 months Don’t go to branch 2 food and facilities are good but the warden is very bad they see partiality nd didn’t give a proper instructions about cab , food and she didn’t allow to order food if the food is bad otherwise the rooms nd foods are good the only problem is warden in branch 2 otherwise hostel is very good

I won't suggest anyone to stay in this hostel,plenty of issues no wifi even though they collect fees for wifi too ,worst food I got food poisoned twice, and the packed lunch got spoiled continusely.waste of money.not worth for money...🤮🤬 warden won't response to our complain 🤬worst hostel nd warden...🤮don't come here for admission..😠

Hello to all girls looking for a hostel that feels like home. The Food provided here is soo good and healthy. It has got neat washing area and washing machines too. Rooms are with attached washrooms and Television.Your privacy is never disturbed. Transportation facilities are available. Suits best for both working and college going woman at purely affordable cost. [Non veg foods were available two days a week, is my personal favorite in this hostel; so delicious and Yumm ] Thank you Kurinji !

I stayed kurinji branch 1 till 2 years it's an good experience for me because of good infrastructure. The maintenance of the hostel is very good and the toilets are hygiene. Especially very thankful to the wadern for securing as a parent. I felt very happy about the hostel .The food is good . Thank you so much for peacefull stay.
