Unique and fun bar to chill and drink at. The decorations are very entertaining to look at, as well as the free games they have - pool table, jenga blocks, a shelf full of books. Very well lit and great atmosphere. The snacks were relatively good as well as the drinks. Nothing too special. However, there is one staff member - maybe the manager, he was quite impatient with our group even though we were not rowdy or disobedient, we were simply unfamiliar with how the drink system worked and he started shouting after a while. All in all a good and eccentric place to visit with friends and hang out.

Food option is the best here. Get to choose menu from 3 kitchens, so you're spoilt for choice. We sampled from 2 kitchens and both were good. Happy hour price for the beer is reasonable. Wide selection of alcoholic beverages available. They also have a pool table and dart board if you get bored with eating and drinking.

Great bar to grab a beer & chill. We came across the Public House after a night out at Boat Quay. We were looking for a pub/bar that was more cozy and laid back, where we could just grab a beer and hang out. This was the perfect spot. Good vibes, chill atmosphere, and friendly staff. Glad we found it.

Good energy, vibe and some eye catching decor ! Loved the service - very attentive ! Only caveat I would make is that the food service from the kitchen is a little slow. So if you are ordering something just keep that in mind. Do visit if you are in the boat quay area !

Nice, cosy and fun place to hang out with a few buddies for catching up and some drinks. Drinks are well priced and the owners are very friendly. Made a few new friends on my first time there and would definitely revisit if I'm in the vicinity again.

This is one of my favorite bars in Singapore it's truly a safe place and I love how kind hearted all the staff are. Matthew is literally one of my favorite people, I was having such a horrible day when I first walked in here and he cheered me up and made me feel right at home. I always stop by here when I'm in Singapore.

Fun dive bar feel with good beer and decent pours for a G&T! The vibe inside reminds me of a classic dive bar and it was just what we needed at night! They also have a pool table, darts, and some board games for entertainment.

Disappointing Experience at "The Public House" I recently visited "The Public House" and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. While the ambience was acceptable, the overall dining experience was marred by subpar food and an unsettling encounter with one of the waiter. The food, to put it frankly, was mediocre at best. It failed to live up to the expectations set by the ambiance. However, what truly soured our evening was an incident involving one of the employees. Shockingly, this staff had the audacity to request a free drink even before our food was served. This not only left us uncomfortable but also cast a shadow over the entire dining experience. When we brought this matter to the attention of the person in charge that day, we were assured that such behavior wasn't their usual practice. However, the damage was already done, and the discomfort lingered throughout the rest of our meal. This review serves as a cautionary tale to others – be wary of potential attempts to trick customers into purchasing unnecessary drinks. It's disheartening when a single incident can overshadow an otherwise pleasant atmosphere.

Very friendly bar owners! Love the alcohol prices (time staggered prices) and the ambience of the place. Overall just wished there was more food options on the menu, but it was sufficient nonetheless. Great place to just chill with a beer.

The Public house is one of our favourite spot and we go there to get our favourite Czech beer … I like this place for more than reason staff is great, ambiance is good , location is fantastic only challenge I find with this place is pure vegetarian food (No eggs, no meat no sea food ) … Go to The Public House and enjoy the Czech beer they serve

Have been going to public house for a year now and the vibes are IMMACULATE. This is the best place ever in singapore, if youre a visitor trying to explore the country this is a MUST. The owner, Alvin, is the sweetest man, ask him for some jokes and you’ll be cracking up for sureeee. Overall, public house is the way to go, nice people, nice staff, nice environment. Stop wasting time and come!

I ordered pizza and two drinks and pizza was so pathetic that it was cold and cheese was not even melted. Looked like they have frozen pizza and just microwaved. We did not even finish our food and waiter asked if they can remove the dishes etc. Atmosphere was OK though.

Our usual place when I used to work at Raffles. Unfortunate that they don't have Howgarden beer anymore but still there are other beers you can try. We go for Long Island coctail along with a tower of any beer that we feel should make our day.

Nice bar. Alcohol is cheaper than most places around this area. Inside the bar itself is very cosy and outside of course there is plenty of life because of the location. Great place to hang with friends. Bar staff are very friendly and normally very attentive. Bar menu changed lately... Not so impressed with that. I would have given 5 stars only for the menu selection, servings and the cost are very poor. Hopefully they switch back to the old menu or improve the new one.

Ambience was nice and cosy, which is good for hanging out with a small group of friends. The place sells some Czech food which was decently accurate as compared to the food I've tried in Czech Republic. They have Urquell and Staropramen for people missing Czech beer! Also, they have some cocktails available.

Place had a lovely interior and atmosphere, with a book exchange shelf :) owner and staff are really friendly to the customers. The pizza was great and we liked the drinks menu a lot too, we will definitely come back!

Excellent atmosphere and decent prices. For any Australians there is a book on the very back wall of the venue titled the rough guide to Australia, we found our home town in this book and signed it, we hope you do the same.

Cozy little bar located in the back side of Boat Quay. A rare pub selling pilsner urquelle. Would've been perfect if there's Paulaner hefeweisen!

Loved the character of this place, loads of charm and character, not boisterous like some of the other bars in the area which makes it a great place to chill, enjoy your drink and have great conversation.

It is a horrible place for me to eat at. I ordered a few dishes of food after my bottle and glasses of drinks. But the waiters kept rushing me with the food and orders. I wasn’t even done eating and they had to take away my food before 10pm so I basically lost all my appetite as I was halfway eating and they took it away from me. Very pressuring not a place to relax at all. There isn’t even a grace period for me and I just ordered my food. And they had to take away and throw all my dishes into one tub when the food just only arrived.

Grand place for a beer but the food is pretty awful. Chicken and spring rolls smelt like they had been fried in fish oil and tasted worse. Pizza was frozen reheated. Worse food I've had in Singapore so far, and very pushy on the upsell. But the location is good, the beer is reasonable and the service only fine.

Ordered a kamikaze and lemon drop shot. Both tasted like concentrated lemon juice. Felt like they forgot to add the alcohol! Just when we are about to down our shot, waitress comes over asking for us to pay. Completely missable place. Avoid.

Ambience and pricing is definitely more competitive. It’s nice and easy. Laid back little bar tucked away in the corner. If you’re lucky you’ll spot a celeb or two chilling away from the maddening crowds outside. Give it a swirl and try it out

One of my all time favorite pubs to drink at, great vibes for both indoor and outdoor seating as well as attentive and friendly staff! Definitely a recommended place to go if you are looking for a place to have chill drinks.

My current favourite drinking hole. Drinks are affordable and the earlier you're there the cheaper your drinks are ;) Staff are always friendly and accommodating. It's a great place to go after a long day of work and you just want a nice easy drink at the pub. One thing I quite enjoyed is that they hosts a pub quiz every Monday night and those are super enjoyable!
