Passed by many times, but didn’t really have the opportunity to try the food, and we don’t drink alcohol 🍺. Finally have the opportunity as they accept online booking. When we reached there, there was only one table occupied. The service is slow, especially when there was no other customers. My beef chilli nacho came at least 30min after our last main dish - sirloin steak arrived. Spam fries came first and there was a long wait before fish & chips arrived. On the whole, food was quite good.

Used the Entertainer 1 for 1 mains. Very nice and cosy English pub feeling. Most people come to have drinks but we had the mains. Food was tasty and flavourful and while some might find it too strong tasting, I was delightfully pleased by the taste. Staff are very friendly and also interact with their regular customers. Will come back again if there are offers!!

A hidden gem in the heart of Hillview. Its a sort of meeting place for the Hillview condo folks. The food is surprisingly decent for a tiny bar and everyone there are welcoming and friendly. There’s also a pool table where u can pit your skills against each other for free

Really enjoyed this place. I'm sure when we are not limited on people and music the vibe will be even better, but hard s great time nonetheless. Good beer selection, great fish and chips and grilled chicken, and loved the feel of the pub, I could have been in the UK or the US or anywhere with pub culture.

Love the food. Portion just nice for me. Many types of finger food to choose from, at reasonable prices. Daily happy hour. This place emits a cosy vibe.

Nice atmosphere for a tiny British style food. There was a lower selection of drinks than the menu had, but I was able to try one tasty IPA, so no complaints. The food was fantastic! Simple pub style fish and chips, which you expect to be a signature dish for this type of pub, and they did not disappoint. We also had the salted egg and mushroom pasta which was very tasty as well though à tad too salty for our taste. Very friendly staff and environment, will certainly return

Fancy a pub in the middle of nowhere? This place was bustling even on a Monday night. We tried their signatures; The Jolly Roger Burger and The English Roast. The burger bun was nicely crisp and fluffy insides. Well buttered and of a perfect size. Burger patty was beefy and juicy. Good to be shared amongst 2 pax. Loaded with a generous serving of golden fries. Good with Weissbier. English Roast saw some tasty roasted baby potatoes and carrots. Loved that it came with a serious serving of salad. Lovely dressing too. Unfortunately, the thin slices of roast were a tad too lean. Somewhat healthy, I feel! There's a pool table if you fancy a game or two with your chums, or....with that friendly stranger/neighbour, happily sipping their stout. Expect to spend around $40 per pax for a meal and a drink.

Great neighbourhood bar, always come back for the fried mushrooms and French fries. Talented chefs and amazing bartenders. Friendly bar locals too.

Delicious food with British pub vibes and value for money. Parking lots are limited so beware.

If you come to HillView for Western food and find iO Italian (great place btw) queue too long, just come here you won't regret.

Had a couple of drinks here around 10pm, atmosphere was nice with rock music playing in the background. Kitchen was closed so didn't have the chance to try the food. The beers were good, the goat's lager was quite memorable and had a sweet tang to it.

Such a quaint place with a lovely British/ boho vibe to this place. It’s been around for 7 years. Chances upon this place using the Entertainer app and the family came out well fed with tradition English fare. We had the English roast, complete with Yorkshire pudding. The mustard marinade was a nice touch but wished it was a bit well done. We also had a bacon carbonara, NZ sirloin, bangers and mash and an excellent smoked duck. Delighted to have a pint of London Pride on tap. Come before 8 pm for hh (happy hour). Highly recommend. It’s not the easiest place to get to because it’s tucked deep in a private housing estate but come to chill, unwind, play pool and they have a few table games that you can play. They accept cash only.

Arguably the best pub in the western part of Singapore, The Jolly Roger is truly a wondeful place to chill out over a pint of beer or even a bottle of whiskey or gin! The clientele is largely composed of regulars and familiar faces who are friendly and respectful.

Best Bar for Burger and Booze! Despite the "B"s which I used to describe the Bar in a liner, I will definitely say it is "A" for the food, ambience, service and price! Do make a reservation before you head down. Food was served in a hearty portion and the taste and plating was excellent. You will appreciate the large variety of food. Not forgetting the large variety of beer and other alcohol as well. Ambience was boisterous, befitting of a bar but without the noise being overbearing. Adding on to the bar vibes, there is also a pool table in the middle of the bar. Service was top notch as the staff was attentive and hardworking. Last but definitely not least, price was friendly, especially so during Happy Hour! Although the location might be a little hard to get to, all the other factors make this the perfect little bar which will make your date night/gatherings perfect!

Avoid!! This was 2nd time we tried them. First time was okay though the food was very very slow. Hoping that was one off experience and also being a bit nostalgic about having Sunday roast at a British pub, I phoned them a few days before and booked a table for Farther’s Day lunch at 12pm. Despite what was mentioned on their website that they open at 11am on Weekends, there was a closed sign on the door when we arrived at 11:45. The waitress saw us and could have let us in but she just ignored us. When it was 11:55, she opened the door and told the other group who apparently just turned up without a booking that drinks were available but food wouldn’t be until 13:30. I then mentioned to her that we’ve made a booking at 12:00 and was told that we need to scan for the menu and see whether we wanted to order would be available. The door was then shut again and we had to look at the menu on our phone but still standing outside the restaurant door. My dear Husband wanted Sunday Roast for his Fathers Day lunch on Sunday so I went inside and check. It turned out there was no roast left and that was the point we decided to leave. They could’ve done so many things better, starting from maybe requesting a pre order when I phoned. Or at least let us sit down inside. Never mind. I won’t bother with them any more!

Decided to skip the crowds and come here to try their food options. Not disappointed. Food is generally excellent. Place isn't big so call ahead9

Small neighbourhood bar with a friendly community - including bartenders and patrons. The atmosphere gets very lively on the weekends. Also, one of the few spots to get Czech Pilsner.

Nice vibe, beer and food. Had lots of nice food there, such as tempura mushrooms, fries, butter chicken with naan, beef sandwich etc! We were too busy eating and forgot to take photos of the food!

👍👍 It was so cozy and absolutely loved the vibes. The food was exceptional and the service was great. The smell of the pita was sooo good and the pita on my lamb was soaked with flavor. Tho you may want to note that lamb generally has a strong smell/taste. My suggestion is to maybe elevate their desse...
