The ambience is nice and their set lunches are value for money. Good service too. But the most impressive thing to me is their wine menu. I cannot remember another place in town that has such a wide wine menu by the glass where the prices are affordable. Prices by the glass start from $6!

Great place for reasonably priced food and wine. Lovely ambience too! Went by for lunch after a ride and was impressed by the $15 set lunch of 2 course. Decent restaurant quality mains (fish or chicken) and starters (soup or salad). Wine by the bottle from $30 and have a decent selection of you want to go premium. Love the options at the pricing! Ordered the cheese and cold cut platter that was pretty decent in portion. Dessert was also very good! Great deals every night as well. Definitely looking to come back here again to try out other dishes!

Ginett Restaurant offered a mixed experience. The wine and cheese were delightful, but the main courses, particularly the duck confit and steak, fell short of expectations. The dessert was average. Improved consistency across the menu would elevate the overall dining experience.

A hidden gem. Nice casual place that serves super affordable lunch sets. This place has a nice bar and decent collection of wine. Nice decor and beautiful plates to serve their food too. My kids love the food. For lunch, We ordered king prawn pasta, seabass, half roasted chicken and pork chop. A pity they only serve steak for dinner.

Deepest thanks and appreciation to Assistant Restaurant Manager Mr Shayne Cheong for really making me and my friends' day by being so helpful and understanding of our needs and concerns. The food and atmosphere are wonderful too! Very easy to lose track of time while dining and enjoying yourself there. Looking forward to returning in future!

Our first visit to Ginett, which came highly recommended from a friend, on a sleepy rainy afternoon. For our lunch, we started with a soup and salad followed by a lovely seafood risotto, a free range organic chicken rotisserie and ended our meal with a delectable cheese platter and apple tart. Ginett have a wonderful selection of French wines and cheeses. They also have a very affordable set lunch consisting of a soup or salad and a main course, for $15++ The food was delicious and the service was impeccable. Special thanks to the crew, Raven Sheila, and Suggasri, for making our day out an enjoyable one. We have already made another reservation to visit them again next month.

Great place to unwind after a heavy day of shopping. We ordered 2 Tiger Beers at around 3pm and were told that it's "Happy Hour"! So we got 2 more bottles free. The place is well located within the Gin Hotel and easily accessible. The staffs are very friendly!

Can’t go wrong for French food when you see French in tables around you. We had the set lunch @ $21 each with $8 for a pretty dessert and coffee. Since there is two of us, we ordered all of their lunch set combo. Appetiser of soup and grilled salmon didn’t disappoint. Entree of Grilled chicken tastes good with a pumpkin mash and Sea bass has a crispy skin and tangy sauce. Dessert is yummy. The black coffee is tasty, not so acidic. Worth the additional $8. We are served by Zee, she is attentive and took care of us through the meal.

Had a very good lunch with two friends. Our server Denise is very pleasant and helpful. The restaurant gave a beautiful complimentary birthday cake and a bottle of wine to take away. Highly recommend this place.

Other than the lunch menu being really affordable, the food and service rendered today was really below average. Ordered the pork loin. Pork was really hard and blend. Gravy given was barely even there. Soup was also below average. Service staff, door host included, really needs to learn how to speak up. Was greeted with a mumble. Barely understood the door host. Table given even after making a reservation on a Thursday afternoon lunch was shaky. Not too big a deal really. But would have loved an attention to detail. Which was sorely lacking. Bread bowl was always toppling over. Menu given compared to table size was just huge. Overall, good to go for drinks only. Wine was good. Other than that, really not worth a visit.

A cozy restaurant to chill with your friends or your loved ones. It can get a bit crowded at night, so is better to come earlier. We ordered oysters(not in pic), prawn pasta and dry aged strip loin (comes with 1 side dish) . The oysters are fresh and the steak taste good. The pasta is lacking of flavours, but the prawns are tasty. P/S: The cocktails are really good too.

Went there because we had a $50 dining voucher that came with our staycay at Hotel G. Lobster bisque a tad salty. Pork chop was tough, pasta was great, mushroom sides yum. Fries were your normal shoe string fries but not too bad. Might return to try their steaks and order their pastas again. Very cheap wine starting from $6 per glass and free freshly baked bread on the house. Reservations recommended.

Recommended by an awesome friend, so we came here to for dinner 😁. Parking here is hard to navigate if you are unfamiliar with this area. Nearest to park is at Fortune Centre, where the per entry fees is less than $4. If you got money to spend, just park at the hotel parking where their parking fees is charged by half hourly. Went there, got our table, sat down and study the menu 😂 Bonjour! It's French cuisine for tonight! For starters, we got the Traditional French Onion soup. Ordered a Rum Old Fashioned cocktail too. For mains, we had Beef Tartare, Australian Striploin and La Joue De Boeuf (Slow cooked Beef). All mains are damn good. The striploin was done medium rare. Beef was seasoned well. Love at every bite. Beef Tartare is awesome! ingredients are mixed in well. Made me to savour the dish slowly. Soft slow cooked beef meat that easily teared off and the seasoning is well marinated into the beef. For desserts, we had Sorbet, Mille-Feuille and Paris Brest. Love all of them. You know its a good dessert when you cleaned the plate and left nothing. Same goes for our mains and appetizers. Would I be back again? Yes of course!

Love the cold cut, cheeses, and well priced bottles of wines. I would also recommend the steaks for mains. The whole roasted chicken was a tad salty. Service wise was great.

Ginette has a hip and casual ambiance. We ordered the scampi linguini and grass fed rib eye with molten lava cake for dessert. The pasta was spot on in its flavours and presentation. It had the just right amount of spice and oil while the scampi were succulent and super fresh. Medium rare ribeye steak was nicely charred though a mite over salted. Accompanying mushrooms were smooth and delicate in flavour. The molten lava cake was a mite disappointing in that the “lava” was not “molten” but semi solid instead! Service was excellent with Afiq being affable, friendly and efficient. Will be back one weekday to try their competitively priced set lunch!

Very nice place with good food. Caesar salad was delicious. Steak was prepared perfectly. Desserts are tasty. Even had a free birthday surprise (dessert in the bird cage). Duck leg confit is slightly dry however, believe there are better options elsewhere. Quite a wide variety of wine offered which goes well with the food. Service is great, staff are friendly and knowledgeable, able to give recommendations for wines suitable/complementing for the food items ordered. Environment is slightly warm (there is aircon but is also open air, doors are wide open to the main street), so recommend to wear something more casual if visiting. Did not try their cheese platters but seems like many other patrons did and enjoyed it. Overall a great place to wine and dine. Highly recommend!

I visited Ginett for weekday lunch. Food, atmosphere and decoration is nice. Wine is served very chilled as well. It is open space so it’s good for casual lunch. However I was disappointed following 2 points. I called the restaurant before hand and told I would like to celebrate my colleague promotion and the staff said they can provide candle with the desert but the result is nothing on top of the dessert. The other one is when they served the desserts, no one bring the new folks for the cake… on our table still have tableware for the main course.

Visited this cozy hotel restaurant twice this week. They have a very reasonably priced 2-course lunch set. I ordered pumpkin soup and chicken cordon blue and It was delicious 👌🏻 Then, I came back with my friend for dinner and ordered their beef stew. The meat are super tender and melt in my mouth. Their cocktails are nice too. Good ambiance and Good french food.

Came on a Wed evening and it was packed. Dining time was 2 hrs only and they reminded us 3 times about it, and we felt rushed trying to order our food, deciding whether to order more food, and paying the bill before the 2 hrs were up. Staff were not too friendly and I could hardly hear my friend across the table - a result of high ceiling, music and many people talking at the same time? Stars for the delicious food.

A bustling french bistro that serves great food n I must say I'm mightily impressed with their wine list in terms of its range n affordability. Must order is their 1-meter charcuterie board of cold cuts n cheeses. Highly recommended if you are around the area, reservations needed as the restaurant is quite popular.

Food is good. We had mac and cheese, salmon grill, sirloin a bit burnt outside, lava chic cake, salad, French onion soup. A bit warm in the afternoon as the aircon is not so strong and place has open door concept with alfresco dining too.

We visited over the weekend for their mimosa bruch which is available for 2 hours from the pour of your first mimosa. Do note that you're required to order a main course per pax in order to enjoy the deal. The food is pretty decent and well portioned. It does get pretty hard to catch the attention of the wait staff, especially when you'd like a top up. We even had to walk over and help ourselves to the menu and inform the staff to come by for orders when she had a moment. Can't be helped as there was literally just one waitress attending to all the patrons on the top level. Hoping it was just a shortage of staff for the day kinda situation. The ratio of bubbles to OJ was decent, and I appreciate that it wasn't too diluted. For the price point and quality of food, I really can't complain and would definitely visit again.

I stayed in Hotel G and went to Ginett downstairs for their hearty lunch set menu. It was efficient and comfortable, good in portion and good in taste. Had their cauliflower cream soup and homemade fish and chips 👍🏽. I hope their people service could get warmer next!

Came here for brunch. The food is tasty. Drinks are good. Service staffs are attentive. Music is good. And they serve water without asking! That's the good part. Now they not so good part. Was given a small table for my party of 4. This place can be noisy I guess the high ceiling didn't help. And houseflies + mosquitoes. I have to battle a big housefly and was bitten by mosquitoes. 😩

Throughly enjoyed our dinner at Ginett! food was pretty amazing, we really enjoyed the French onion soup and steak, duck confit was pretty good too. maybe give the cauliflower steak a miss though, I've had better ones elsewhere... special mention to Zee - her service was exceptional, loved her recommendations for the cheese board and dessert :) only quipe is because the restaurant has an open alfresco concept, it was rather warm even indoors. The music also got a bit loud at times

Visited for a dinner to catch up with my friends. Excited with the good reviews but it wasn’t a positive experience overall. Service ✔️ Complimentary bread basket with butter. This was really good and refillable too. ✔️ Complimentary water available ✖️ Service was okay, but some weren’t very friendly (not sure if she was the manager) Atmosphere: ✔️ At first glance, this place has really nice atmosphere. Seems like a great place to chill with cozy lighting. There’s even a bar in the middle area with sitting too. ✖️Like other reviews mentioned, this place was HOT. It’s air conditioned but the entrance is fully open, so it’s semi-indoor? We really felt hot while having our meal as we ordered a glass of alcohol drink each and some had spicy food (olio scampi). The person that had the spicy food was literally sweating. We quickly left after the meal. Food ✔️ Food was actually pretty good, with good portions. ✔️ Truffle fries were fragrant and crisp. Mushroom risotto and carbonara were creamy and tasty. Olio scampi was actually good, not overly oily and with fried with generous amount of garlic - just that a spicy dish doesn’t go well with hot restaurant environment. Overall: Would we return? The food was actually not bad but we won’t be coming back anytime soon because of the restaurant environment. It’s really hot inside and we couldn’t enjoy our meal as much as we hoped to.

The restaurant has high ceiling giving it an airy and spacious feel. Very comfortable to dine here. Oysters are fresh and juicy, great starter. Tiger prawns caesar salad is excellent with crispy bacon, anchovies, grated egg and tasty Caesar dressing. Really whet my appetite. Lobster bisque is rich and full of flavor too. Finally the main course, rib eye steak, tender and juicy with the right doneness. Overall excellent dining experience.

First visit to Ginett for lunch. They must be doing something right, packed with guests on a weekday! The Ginett Burger was decent, served up with shoestring fries and salad. Liked the fact that they used more than just cheddar (give it a try and you will know what I mean). The Kurobuta pork chop was okay for me, my friend said it was a tad tough. The mashed potato and veggies were tasty. I'm looking forward to return and try the steak frites, and add another star to my rating. Pleasant experience overall, yearning for "great!" on the next visit.

It was humid Tuesday night August 31st. We went there for supper. Oysters, wine & steak. We could not reserve a table as it was fully booked. So we were seated on the outside which turned out hot & sweaty at the of our 1 hr 1/2 dining experience and had to hurried off. Ambience 7 / 10 - seating outside not recommended Service 7 / 10 - most staff were hit & run, not very welcoming but I understand they were swamp. One staff member, I believe she is the team lead, she was very good, fast, prompt & friendly. Kudos to her. Steak Striploin 7.5 / 10 - was supposed be “melt in the mouth”, even medium was no wow factor. Frankly tasted better however the pricing is much less than other better steaks I had recently. Oysters 8 / 10 - cheaper than most other oyster bars but really skinny compared to same species, Fine de Claire. Wine 9 / 10 Comfort 4 / 10 - poor lighting, too dim to take photos without flash. Hence pictures will be over exposed. Can’t see food clearly. - very humid after the 30th min at the table along the public walkway Overall experience 6 / 10

Warm and welcoming ambiance. You probably can sit here for hours eating and enjoying a drink. We have been here a couple of times and has never been a let down. Prices are reasonable despite being in town. Server, Amira and bartender Kai was very helpful and friendly. Thank you for your hospitality. A must visit place for any meal.. breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner! For your Instagram photos too!

Standard western restaurant. I found it on 小红书 and made a reservation for birthday celebration. I thought they will give us some small cakes or free wine for birthday, but we got nothing. The servers are also not very friendly. We need to call them to order food and they don't smile at all.

I came here with a good friend for a celebratory and thanksgiving dinner on 15 Nov 2023. The waitress attending to us was Zee. She provided us with great service and was very attentive to our needs. The restaurant is very chic French modern and the food from starters to main courses were beautifully executed and presented. We just wished we had more rooms for desserts! Glass of wine was very affordable at $8/glass and it’s very drinkable. Ranks among the top French restaurants in Singapore.

Free birthday perks like birthday cage ice cream and free red wine (for take away only) but staffs bad attitudes. Every request like dont know rush to where have to call her back to finish the request. Inconvenient drop off/pick up at G hotel lobby level 2. Will not visit again

My second visit this time round was for the brunch. I'm lucky to be attended by Gayathri again. My first visit was last year November. She was very attentive and so pleasant and friendly. The fact that she remembers me made this visit sweeter. That's up notch service for you. Felt very welcomed by her. Of course, I love the place and the atmosphere. Had Connor Ribeye (medium) it really melt in my mouth. SUPER GOOD. Would like to highlight all the three dessert recommended by Gayathri, there were all superb good! No regret! We intend to come back for dinner to feel the different ambience the next time round. Looking forward to our next visit already.

Been to Ginett a few times for its weekend brunch, the latest this past June weekend. Service has been patchy over the past few occasions, but I shall base this review on the most recent visit. The manager seemed to be unaware of of the seating layout of the establishment and directed me in the wrong direction of where my brunch party was. Service for my section, however, was impeccable. We ordered some wines and the free-flow 2-hour mimosa for drinks, coupled with a cheeseboard, mushroom risotto, carbonara, and truffle mac & cheese. The drinks had a decent pour, and the staff for my section was prompt in topping up of the free-flow mimosa, which we appreciate. The range of cheeses and meats for the cheeseboard was satisfactory as well, though nothing really stood out. The hot food items: risotto, carbonara and truffle mac and cheese, were above average, with nice portions for one and well-balanced on the flavours front. One star docked as the syrah had a rather foul smell, probably due to poor storage. Pity though that was sufficient for us to stop ordering the wines. Area on the second level was also quite stuffy as well on a warm day. Would come back for the service and food!

One of my fave go-to places for affordable wine bottles and also the free flow mimosa brunch on weekends! Food was good as well, I was most impressed by the salmon which was cooked to perfection, super soft and moist on the inside. My only gripe was that they had pretty slow service for the mimosa top-up

I have been here quite a few times and it is always very enjoyable - be it for dinner or just to chill on a lazy Sunday afternoon. This place has the most affordable wine in a hotel vibe setting. However, during this latest visit, I find that the staff are rather demoralised. I find it uncomfortable even to initiate a conversation. I just hope that someone will look into it and make this place great again.

Came here on a Friday at 2.30pm, it was not crowded with only less than 5 tables. We needed to wait for 10 mins to get waiters’ attention to place our order. When the food was served, the cutleries weren’t provided and we had to ask for it. Worst still, we ordered Yuzurazu, they served us Singapore Sling and they were non apologetic at all. Food quality was great but too bad, very laid back service! Will never return anymore

Zee served us and she was the best server we’ve met in a while. Attentive, smiley & warm. We had the oysters, lobster bisque, barramundi & olio scampi. Oysters were the skinny kind which I love so they were great. Lobster bisque could be a bit thicker. Barramundi was good (not excellent but yummy enough) & the olio scampi was well seasoned. We received complimentary desserts because I indicated in my reservation that it was our anniversary. Highly recommend!

Dinner time is quite busy and the waitresses are quite occupied. It’s quite difficult to get their attention. Food wise, the kurobuta pork chop is dry and not very tender. 300g includes a huge chunk of bone too. You are better off getting the beef steak. Lobster bisque is light and flavourful. A little on the salty side too. Olio scampi is good. Fresh prawns with nicely done handmade pasta.

Love coming here, usually come at the weekend for the mimosas brunch! My sister was in town so we came for lunch. Service was a little slow at first but was attentive after that. We had a cheese board, chicken cesar, and fries. It was really delicious, the food is always on point here. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed. Sometimes, I do find that the hosts are not the most welcoming on 1st contact, they tend to be a bit abrupt like they don't wont you there, I said to my sister oh don't worry it's always like that! That should not be the case. I keep coming back for the great food and wine selection. I like the free bread, but I would like to see some biscuits/crackers on the menu for the cheese!

  • 4/5 Stefie T. 2 years ago on Google
Was very excited to come here because the pasta is handmade, and rillettes were homemade. Food was absolutely delicious and wine was nicely selected by the waiter. I was blown away by both pastas, ratatouille and rillette. But the escargot was average to me. There was also some complimentary bread with butter at the start which was a complete pass... cold bread with plain butter was not a great start.

It was a full house during weekday 730pm evening so luckily we made reservation on Chope to dine for our table of 3($20 nonrefundable deposit paid). Ambience and setting of the restaurant was chillax and rather huge(2 levels of dining) just atad warm for people seated near entrance at level 1. Fortunately my table was on level 2 so temperature was just right to relax and enjoy the dinner. We ordered 4 mains to share: Steak frites w fries, Kurubuto Pork ChoP w baked potato, bacon carbonara and wild veg risotto. Was really impressed with the fine execution of all the dishes and taste were all on point. Kudos to the kitchen staff and chefs for this impressive foodfare as we were seated near kitchen and watched 1st hand how hectic and busy they were during the entire dinner service. Yet they did not compromise on delivering only the most on point dishes, saw the head chef re-making a few plates she deemed nt desirable to be served out. Salute to her and her team! We believed what we paid for was well deserved($120 for 4 mains) and lower than than of most 5 star restaurant that might nt hv tasted on par. Not to mention if u hv a special someone or loved one celebrating bday do indicate on reservation note and a dessert presented inside a beautifully designed bird cage will be brought to the table. And they even give out a bottle of wine for the bday person what a delightful gesture! We just had to minus 1 star off for the slight warm place, difficulty in engaging service crew, as well as noisy surroundings to dine in throughout due to full house. The dining experience otherwise was great and highly recommend everyone to go and dine in and let ur hair down with fabulous foodfare and inexpensive wines available.

You must try the cream spinach. It's amazing. Pasta was a delight - one can easily taste the bacon in the carbonara without it being overpowering. Didn't break the bank either! Good ambience, good staff - Mark the bartender was a delight throughout the evening, 10/10 service.

Were made to wait for 25 mins for our table even though we have booked our table. We were not happy for the wait but has been overwhelmed by the best services rendered to us from Raven n Jab. They both were excellent, hard to find such good services in Singapore.

Ginett is a bistro that serves authentic French food. Tried the La Joue de Bœf (12-hour slow braised Wagyu cheek), it was so tender that it literally melted in my mouth. Pro tip: Visit on Thursday for the $1 per piece Oyster from France, and make a reservation or be prepared to queue.

Great service. Gorgeous interiors! Lovely fin de claire oysters, yummy foie gras terrine, tender lamb shank! Also, the wines are affordable. Love it here! Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful 55th birthday celebration for my hubby🎂 The beef was so good and the oysters were so fresh that we ordered the second round. Once again thank you for the complimentary win and birthday dessert for my hubby. We would like to thanks Mr. Vanesh for his warm service and he brought us the win again which we left it on the floor. Greatly appreciate😍

One of the best restaurants in Singapore! Food is delicious, wine is awesome. Oysters are lovely. On my birthday, 18th March 2021 they even gave me a bottle of wine and a complimentary cake as birthday gifts. Highly recommended to wine and dine with affordable promotions daily. Please give them a try if you have not! Thank you Ginett for your kind hospitality and generosity to us. We will definitely keep coming back for more good times 🥂

The restaurant served breakfast for Hotel G and the spread was fantastic! We decided to stay close by one evening and had a beautifully luxurious night with wine, oysters, and a charcuterie board. It was the perfect evening to just relax and enjoy the evening right downstairs to where we were staying! The breakfast bar had so much more than a continental breakfast, and the espresso/latte machine was AWESOME! Loved that thing! Also discovered "Kaya" which is Malaysian Pandan Coconut Egg Jam, which is AMAZING! Wish I was able to take some home with me! Definitely a place to come back to!

They gave us a table just by the exit of the kitchen. Quite bad. They allowed us to change but the food is not that nice. Frozen fries, frozen mushroom. We had to wait so long to be served. The waiter and waitress are nice but that is all. The rest is pretty bad. I don't recommend to go and I will never come back.

Came here for their lunch set which is priced quite affordably. Cheap wine too. Good is nice enough and I enjoyed my chicken dish. Good char on the broccolis. Portions are just right too. Place had some flies though and the food took ages to come. At least 30mins.

Great food and very attentive service. The chicken and steak were done to perfection. The carbonara pasta was devoured by the kids.

Spacious, Cozy and chic restaurant. $1 oysters promotion on Thursdays were great. Other food options on menu were decent too. Great wine selection. Only complain probably was the service. We were told 2 hours slot per tables; understandable as there was a line when we arrived. Towards the later part of the evening, there were a couple of empty tables with no one waiting to get a seat. However, we were constantly reminded and “chased” to wrap up our meal because of the time slot. Kinda ruined the whole mood as we were rushed and being watched all the time. Other than that, I think it is worth a re-visit!

Dec 21: Love the friendly atmosphere n the service staff are attentive n will take your orders n refill your water regularly. They even take the feedback of lobster bisque being too salty seriously n serve another bowl which was much better. Love the birthday surprise dessert n wine given. Thank you for the great service. Will be back to try other dishes. Second visit March 22: I dun see why the front desk could not give a low table when there are empty tables around even when we left. Service quite a disappointment on my second visit. Food was very salty, from meat to mash to fries. They need to go easy on the salt.

Had a lovely brunch with my sister for her birthday. Restaurant has a lovely European vibe. I started with a glass of pleasant PN1 and some cheese. Followed by kurota pork chops, steak frite, croque monsieur and aubergine risotto. Definitely will be going back to try their other dishes 🥰

More than the great food and their vast selection of wines, their staff are the best! Very accomodating and one of the most friendliest people I've ever met (especially Mark) Will definitely come back to this place. 😉

Very pleasant dining experience. The waitress was very attentive. The pork chop is very flavorful and tender, with the awesome whipped potato. While the steak with Parisian butter sauce compliments the flavour well. Would definitely visit again!

Ordered a medium rare steak. This is more like medium well.. I think you can skip the steak and order the G-board. very slow service at 2pm lunch. Quite crowded which I I can understand for the slow service. Cheap wine, good if you wanna come and have a few wine and go.

Food was not bad including their dessert. Set lunch was wallet friendly however the open concept dining was too hot…even overheard someone feedback her wine was slightly warmer than usual 😅

Pasta was nice. Wine portion was very little though. Overall not bad.

Went for a birthday celebration and the waitress, Zee was very attentive and provide an excellant service. The foods were delicious and the wine per glass were affordable starting from $8/glass. Thank you for the complementary birthday dessert which was served in a bird cage which was very pretty. Me and my friends were satisfied with the overall experience and definitely will visit this restaurant again.
