This place looks... ordinary... in fact a little plain and obscure. But, the food is phenomenally good. Seriously they should be awarded a Michelin Star. Came highly recommended by my partner, and despite a long work day, we chose to go for dinner. We ordered what you see in the pictures--and we were blown away. Really, very good, no it's outstanding. Everything is good, and I particularly like the dumplings, the Nonya laksa, Lasagne, especially the Korean noodle Jajangmyeon, I must go back there and eat again! And the cheese cake is to die for! They have a reputation for THE BEST VEGETARIAN LASAGNE in Singapore, voiced by Food Critics, and I can tell you, you would have wasted your trip if you did not try it! The service is personal, plain, direct and friendly (no airs). The people here are just down to earth, and the food service is fast. It's best to go in the evening, because it's in the CBD area, and therefore day time it would be crowded. This is a vegan place, so for those of you are allergic to milk or preservatives, you can eat with a peace of mind. I would highly recommend this place, give a 4.5 Star. The 1/2 star missing is for them to include more local favourite like the Char Kway Teow and perhaps Hor Fun. Really all they serve there is very very good. Go and thank me later. Just go!

Staff was very helpful and warm in serving us #AlliumFree dishes which are so wholesome and flavourful. The Vegetarian Chicken Rice is done with healthy brown rice and it not oily at all. The Vegan ice cream was so rich in texture, my boy loved it. #Vegan #Vegetarian #YummyForMyTummy

A gem for healthy eating. Can rest assured that you will be eating only the healthiest ingredients. Enjoyed the Lasagne. Portion was generous enough with a generous serving of salad. Also had the dumplings- goes really well with the "chilli", just wished there was a little bit more water chestnut for more crunch. They also sell freshly baked bread sometimes and have weekly specials on the board. The price point is very reasonable for the ingredients they use and the portion is also reasonable. Would come here very often if I work around the area.

They are serving buffet lunch every Friday between 12pm to 2:30pm, $18/person. So I visited there on Friday, all foods are delicious :) and restaurant is clean and comfortable. If I visit Singapore again, I'll visit there definitely!!

I had a nourishing meal here with the lemak fish ($12.90), which came with brown rice, lots of fresh and cooked veggies and "fish" slices covered with a fragrant sauce. They also have an award-winning lasagna, a vegan Magnum ice cream, dumplings and many other interesting dishes. Will be trying this place again while I work in the area! The food is healthy and thoughtfully cooked.

Keep in mind that the menu is vegan, so having an entire menu from pasta to laksa is awesome. We ordered the dumplings, lasagna, and bakuteh rice. All were on the healthy end. If you eat healthy and eat vegan, come here. This place deserves more love than it gets. They also accept QR payment so use Grab. Look forward to coming again sometime.

The lasagne is worth a try! It was super tasty and yet healthy. The dumpling skin is slightly too thick but the filling was delicious. Laksa was ok, the curry is good but perhaps it would have paired better with thick bee hoon.

Great veg/vegan cafe. Casual environment and helpful staff. My fav dishes were the 7-layer haystack and The black fungus (sounds bad but taste good!). Plenty of gluten free options. You are what you eat.

vegan friendly restuarant. I had lasagna 12.90 and almond brown rice milk 3.90. also had olive rice (8.90) with add on vegan sausage. (1.50) All food are good but slightly pricy. They also sell home baked wholemeal raisin loaf. (7.90) They only sell it on Tues i was told. Cons: Ok service and payment method of cash/nets/paynow only.

Excellent dumplings, really loved them because they are fresh and tasty! Same with the lasagna, no meat didn't mean less taste, quite the contrary actually! I recommend this place for the good and also healthy food :)

In case your looking for the restaurant it's downstairs in B1, we went for dinner and it was very quiet. Ordered the clay pot rice which was the highlight! Dumplings were so so with to much wrap for my taste. Laksa was ok also. Overall it was quick service and Decent food. You have to order also at the counter and pay upfront.

A beautiful hidden gem. Although it is downstairs this lovely clean restaurant is great to eat at. I had a vegan Singapore laksa and it was absolutely delicious. The cold drinks were delicious too. I will definitely come again if we return to Singapore. Ensure you check out the times they are open and remember they only take cash.

I had the privilege of visiting Genesis twice this past week and after being to a lot of vegetarian restaurants in Singapore, this is the BEST. Several things make it stand out compared to others. First, they are in a newer convenient location that allows for ample parking in the nearby carpark. This is a casual cafe that is often busy but they had enough space for our group. The menu is focused on healthy, fresh and tasty Asian-Western fusion, with entrees ranging from vegan lasagna to dumplings and laksa. We always left satiated. I love their vegan cheesecake as its moist and delicious (compared to at other vegetarian places). In my experience, the staff were welcoming and attentive.

I don't know why I did not find this vegan place earlier given it's so popular. I think this is one of the best places to have sumptuous & healthy vegan food especially for those who are vegetarian. We had the laksa, chicken rice and dumplings and all of them were delicious. The staff was also friendly and helped us understand what to order. Highly recommend!

Shroom burger was bomb! Fries were crispy and soft and fluffy! Drinks were refreshing. And guess what, for once a vegan places wasn’t over the top expensive!! I would definitely be back! Love that they stock up Muuse for reusable containers! They should do this especially for orders on foodpanda.

This place is just a normal restaurant in a run down mall in Clarke Quay. For what it loses in ambience it more than makes up in taste. The cranberry lavender juice was tasty even though we couldn't taste our smell lavender. The dumplings could've been better but we're not bad. The olive fried rice was more a stir fried rice but was perfectly stir fried with the right seasoning and sides. The Laksa was really tasty and filling. They also has this brilliant concept of using edible spoons for the dishes. Overall, I would totally recommended this place to anyone just to give it a try for vegan and food.

One of the trusted place for vegetarian food. Always enjoy the simple but nice offering there... Assam fish has the sour kick. Nasi Lemak was great with the chilli.

A quiet and unassuming eatery in the basement of Havelock II. The menu is quite small but is fully vegan (not many allium-free options), mainly featuring local dishes; popular items are the lasagne and dumplings. There is also a blackboard menu with some daily or seasonal specials. Taste leans towards being light and healthy. I would recommend the lasagne and almond brown rice milk! Hope the menu can be expanded and also hope the place can be spruced up a little. Few minutes' walk from Clarke Quay MRT and Chinatown MRT.

Decided to visit this place with a vegetarian friend after reading great reviews on it online. Not sure if my expectations were too lofty, or because of my non-vegetarian palate, but the experience was rather disappointing. The lasagna - taste was ok, but the texture was a tad dry, and very carby. Struggled to finish it, really. The side salad definitely helped to offset the carbiness a little. My friend had the fish bee hoon soup (which i didn’t manage to picture, but it looked ordinary enough). Being a long-time vegetarian, she said she’s easily tried numerous better-tasting vegetarian fish beehoons in SG, and that this was mediocre at best. The seaweed rolls - basically raw julienned veggies wrapped in seaweed were pretty good tho.

The food was super good! I'm glad I made the ride here! The customer service was no so good but that has been my experience in Singapore hahaha 🤣 you must try the vegan dumplings they are the best! I also had the Nasi Lemak and it was delicious 😋🤤. It's in B1 so take the elevator then go through the door on your left lol.

The food at this small, unassuming restaurant is exceptional. I’m not exaggerating when I say that the meal I had here was one of the best I’ve ever had. Also a great place to find vegan versions of local dishes like chicken rice (which I appreciated as a vegetarian/occasional fish eater). It is somewhat hidden away on the basement floor of a shopping centre, but very much worth seeking out!

Ordered lasagna, wanton noodle (soup and dry), bimbimbap. Lasagna was good. Wanton was good too. Wanton noodle soup vers is okayish. Dry one tastes better. Bimbimbap is okayish. In general, nice vegan food. May come back to try others, including chendol.

I wanted to like it more, as it's one of the rare vegan places. Wanton & lasagna was good. Lasagna a bit heavy with beans & carbs. Bah kut teh was ok. What I personally didnt like was the aftertaste of onions .. I'm sure the wanton/ lasagna had a fair bit of onions? felt a bit sick after, forgot to check bout the onions.

Wanted to try long time ago but I am regret that I did not visit earlier. I have tried rendang nasi Lemak for lunch which taste awesome. The portion is just nice for me who always easily get hungry before working hour. Brown rice which come in Lemak fragrance make me feel to have additional rice to pair with the rendang and sambal. The 'fish' on the right was also surprising me with the way they made and cook it. Simple yet delicious. Besides that, I like the food which served in the right temperature as well. Wish to try on the other dish soon. See you again~

I’ve been coming here for at least 4 years & as one of my favourite places in Singapore I could never get tired of the food here and the quality of the ingredients is always very reliable. Although I’ve tried a number of their dishes & special items like the CNY cookies, my personal favourite is the laksa! Truly good comfort food and so filling too.

Good vegan burgers. Love that you can have well cooked broccoli as a side instead of fries. Drink options are lovely. Love the non plastic crockery as well. Very sustainable and healthy. Have had delivery and in person dining and it’s always tasty. Not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for!

  • 5/5 Divyanshu M. 3 years ago on Google
Being a meat lover and a burger connoisseur, it’s a surprise that the vegan burgers here are the best ones I’ve had and are really good substitute to some of the meat ones. The ingredients are fresh and the flavours exquisite. They are definitely healthier, not too expensive and quite filling. Both indoor and outdoor seating is available. Broccoli sides are good but nothing special. I wish there were more fresh drink options as others are just concentrates.

Nice place to have some vegan burgers. Singapore has very less vegetarian and vegan options, when it comes to restaurants. This one is really good among those few. Only suggestion - patties in the burger could be served hot.

I come here once every so often. It’s great for vegans, including strict Buddhists who don’t consume onion and garlic (they ask you whether you are OK with these seasonings). You pay a bit of a premium (~15/pax) but the food is tasty and healthier than typical fast food chains.

Lives up to the hype and rave. Tried the avocado and beetroot burger and really enjoyed it with the ginger lemonade. The patty has a slight mushroom taste and a nice bite. The food is definitely on the healthier side here (but I suppose that’s never a bad thing!). Had the laksa on my first visit and thought they could have been more generous with the seasoning.. the second time I returned I got a daily special - the olive rice - and that definitely hit the spot! Very tasty and fragrant, despite being fairly simple. I would totally go back for this! Have also tried their dumplings (which seem to be a crowd favorite) - they’re ok IMO, but if you see vegan sausages on offer (don’t think they’re a menu staple) you should definitely get some to try!

I was very excited to try out this place based on the good reviews and the food pictures. Unfortunately, we were extremely disappointed. We ordered the dumplings, clay pot rice and a noodle soup from the specials menu. The food was quite bland and tasteless. They also don’t accept credit card payments. However, the hot ginger lemongrass drink was good and the staff was friendly.

The food was pretty good and priced well. Our favorite was the brown rice almond milk as it’s special and tasty. However I still prefer the real meat lagsane and dumplings.

Had claypot rice, claypot noodles, dumplings(requested for allium free). Dumplings tasted good and felt homemade. Generally clean tasting, with the claypot rice leaving a stronger taste than the noodles. Great service as well, with multiple staff asking us if the food was ok.

Excellent service and friendly staff. Their dumplings are fresh and the filling is generous - overall very satisfying. Was eager to try their lasagne but unfortunately it contains onion/garlic (staff said these can't be removed), so it's not suitable for Buddhist vegetarians. If you are looking forward a serene cosy place to chill with freshly made healthy food, Genesis is a good place to try out.

Surprised by the staff for being rude. Uneducated barbarian (especially the auntie)

Dumplings are excellent. Chilli is good too.

Good food, a bit greedy. Serves "filtered water" for one dollar, (doesn't take that much effort to have a filter on the tap) even though most dishes are quite pricey. Hard attitude at times. Doesn't accept credit cards etc. which is very odd at that price point. Gives a bad aftertaste

Ordered Lentils Lasagna, portion is generous (could be for two if you're not that hungry). Cheese tofu is great as well, can't really taste the tofu, textured just like cheese cake, dense not to soft but melt in your mouth. :)

Discovered this place by accident searching for a last minute veg place to grab a quick bite. Pleasantly, surprised as I didn't even know the building it was in. And its quite hidden. Thank goodness for the internet. Great value and tasty food. friendly people running it. Recommend the Lasagna which i enjoyed

Guilt free lunch! It was nice and comforting to have this noodle soup (opted for konjac noodle) especially after a heavy morning at work!! Their dumpling skin is nice and chewy which goes really well with the chilli.

I give Genesis Vegan Restaurant an easy 5 stars! The place is clean and staff are friendly. I have also ordered delivery and it's easy, reasonably priced and on time. I love so many of their dishes and everytime i bring friends, they love it too. I would honestly give everything a try but some of my favourites are the lasagna, lei cha fan, sushi roll, dumplings, laksa and their freshly baked breads and cookies. Did i mention the mooncakes? These are vegan, reduced organic sugar mooncakes and taste scrumptious but less guilt. My personal fave is the macadamia and the citrus but seriously all are delicious! And they send lunch boxes to seniors. These are the many reasons why it's 5 stars in my book!

Great all-vegan menu. We ordered the dumplings, laksa and the 'chicken' rice. All super delicious in their own right. The owner was in a bit of a hurry to get us out though as he wanted to go home sooner 😂

Very humble and quaint vegan restaurant. Felt very homey. The mall itself is quite empty, when partner and I came in at 7 ish, all shops were closed. The very cute, aged lady (we presume to be the owner) was very friendly. We finished our meal right before closing time, and they did not rush us at all. Iy was my first vegan food experience and was pleasantly surprised! Enjoyed the food and ambience. Do support this place!!

Food is ok. Vegan. Contains onion garlic for a number of dishes. Ask to be clear which do not have. Chicken rice tastes good. The stir fried/boiled? side greens are nice too.

It’s located at B1 and not too hard to find. I love the laksa and seaweed rolls must try:) Laksa’s soup is creamy and not spicy, I would say it’s the best one I’ve had so far. Will come back again for sure 😋

I just utterly enjoyed the dumplings and the chicken rice! The brown rice was so woody in smell, and wonderful in texture. The chilli sauce is actually made of red capsicum and I think I could have had a whole bowl of it!! Absolutely wonderful vegan place, I can't wait to try more dishes. I'm a vegetarian so when I discover such nice places it thrills me that I can try dishes that I otherwise wouldn't due to dietary restrictions.

Small menu yet you can definitely find something you’ll like! Has a range of local food and western food - Nonya laksa, chicken rice, dumplings to lasagne and salads! I have tried the laksa, very rich not too spicy soup. The chicken rice made from beancurd is very meaty and the chilli sauce has a kick! My favourite drink to order is their homemade almond milk - very thick (might not be for everyone), rich and filling. It is at basement of havelock II, it has limited seats due to the small storefront, and can be a good place to catch up with friends as the area is not too noisy

The sausage, the almond brown rice milk, the dumplings are awesome. Try and enjoy 🌹🍀 Next wednsday will come for the toufu cakes, must be great✌️

chicken rice and dumplings (takeout) + fast service + perfect portion size for chicken rice + the texture of the “chicken” was just right; i will definitely order this again to get my chicken rice fix in the future + be sure to ask the server for hidden options that aren’t on the menu! also, some items on the current menu are no longer being served

Quiet little vegan restaurant in Havelock 2. The claypot rice was very fragrant and flavorful, served in a sizzling pot. The portion was just nice for me but people with big appetite may need to order more items.

Food was just average. Laksa was a let down in my opinion so was the cheese cake

I arrived shortly after they had opened and we're still setting up. Despite that, they were very happy to serve and take my order. Great quality food, esp the rice. I have bak kut teh which was very good. Great flavours and despite lacking meat, still had a good depth in the soup. Happy customer and look forward to trying the rest of the menu.

It's a true gem and a best kept secret in Singapore, whether you are vegan or not. The nasiblemak, lahksa and dumplings are my go to choices there, but the rest of the menu is also super good. It's home made, tastes fresh and delicious. Can't recommend it enough!
