Definitely loved all the dishes we ordered! Especially the homemade tofu: the texture is more like creamy pudding, which melts in the mouth; the tofu itself has rich taste of soy bean and cream cheese; the ingredients of soy sauce, seaweed and yuzu perfectly match the tofu. It was soooo nice that we ordered a second plate. The signature mizutaki was more delicious than the ones I tried in Fukuoka before. Actually the best i ever had. The chicken was very tender and the broth is nicely rich in flavor. Would love to revisit soon.

The Signature Hakata Collagen Mizutaki was very delicious. The soup was flavourful. Chicken tasted fresh and delicious. Excellent service. The waitress would cook the hot pot for you. Oden was also simple and nice.

Very impressed with the service, we had a pleasant lunch at Torikin. Recommend the homemade tofu, love the cheese-like texture. We had original chicken collagen hotpot, lips became sticky because of the collagen.

Must try the homemade tofu it’s 8 SGD but I have the same food at super expensive omakase before it tasted the same. The texture of this tofu will blow your mind. But my family doesn’t like it. I like 👍🏽 Mentaigo undo is cheesy and portion is like a side dishes but I love it. The chicken gyoza is damnnnn good must order!!! Collagens mizutaki must order as well and must choose rice because after you have everything they will make porridge for you. Btw the servers were very friendly and they cook the collagens misutaki for my family so that we can enjoy other food we order. I sat at second floors with family of 7 on 24 April 2021. I definitely recommend this restaurant and I will visit again soon!

The food tasted pretty good. I really like the handmade tofu and mentaiko udon. BUT I had a minor case of food poisoning. I woke up at 6am to vomit and i also had pretty bad diarrhoea. My friend who ate with me had diarrhoea too so im not sure which of their food that wasn't fresh. Its a pity cuz i really liked the variety of food they had

The chicken collagen hotpot taste good. The best was their homemade tofu. Sashimi was fresh too!! A nabe shop which Japanese frequents. Legit!

Great Japanese spot for healthy and hearty sukiyaki broths with lots of drink options. The service and team was attentive and very nice, with good conversation and energy. The manage the sukiyaki or shabu shabu for you, added bonus. Aires were nice and drinks weren't overly priced. I'd be back for sure to try more and test the sashimi! Enjoy ! Thanks again !

Tried their signature chicken collagen hotpot broth. Theresa was the most attentive, helpful and friendly staff! She cooked for us, in this sequence: - chicken soup which is cooked in chicken bones and chicken feet for 7hours. The taste is chocful for chicken fragrance goodness. - chicken meat comprising breast and thigh parts. The breast is tender, not to worry. The sauces are ponzu vinegar and yuzu Chili which helped to spice things up a little and cut through the richness. - assorted vegetables which are sweet, fresh and crunchy. - last but not least, porridge where rice grains have absorbed the remaining soup goodness. Most delicious and comforting food. We also tried the collagen peach non alcohol which one will like if you’re into sweet sake. Highly recommend! I will be back for the shabu shabu. 💯 #chickensoupforthesoul

Excellent Japanese restaurant specialized in hot pots. Tried several appetizers: fried gyoza, seared tuna belly and pickles. The tuna was amazing, full of taste. The main dish was hakata collagen mizutaki (chicken broth), the waiter prepared that for us in real time. Very very nice experience.

Difficult to find motsunabe in Singapore, the one served here is really great. Offals are fresh and the longer you leave them in, the softer they become. Broth is rich and hearty, perfect for dinner. It comes with a punchy yuzu chilli paste we couldn’t stop dipping into. We also tried the house-made tofu and tsukune, definitely worth ordering.

My first visit to Torikin and this is definitely not my last! Love the service provided by Theresa, thou she is busy, she will ensure that we are ok with our food/drinks. Their homemade tofu n Hakata collagen mizutaki are so unique, must try! Only setback is the restaurant is too warm, otherwise, perfect.

The collagen chicken soup tasted really yummy but the Gohan porridge served last was a disappointment that I didn’t even take a pic. Next time will try ramen instead

Authentic Kyushu style chicken hotpot with superb flavor and texture stock. The homemade tofu is a must with a cheese like texture. Great service staff who took the time to help us decide what to order.

Our time at Torikin was absolutely amazing. Not only was the food really good, the staff there (especially Coco and Theresa) really made our day and our experience there will always be a memorable one. I would like to give a special shout-out to them for not only taking time to explain and introduce to us dishes, they even arranged a little dessert after knowing that it was my boyfriend’s birthday 🥺. They were really passionate and our genuine conversations really made our night. Definitely will be back to try more food and look for them again! :) Highly recommend the ryushu, sesame kanpachi and hotpot. Love how all the little details of the dishes complemented each other and was all so well thought out. Kudos to the chefs as well!

The signature Hakata collagen Mizutaki was tasty and healthy. The quality of the ingredients is well worth the price. The server who prepared the the Mizutaki at our table was very attentive. Service is prompt and the staffs are really friendly. Had a great dining experience here.

Don’t order the wagyu intestine hotpot. It’s super greasy and makes me want to vomit after eating it. Super low value for money.

We visited first time with our parents! We ordered Signature hot pot and small dishes. My parents really don’t eat Japanese food so waitress Theresa was polite in explaining how to eat to them. Thank you so much and we will see you again soon!

Excellent place for sukiyaki and collagen hotpot. The price point is on the high side, but the quality of the ingredients are well worth the price. The sukiyaki sauce is well balanced and the glass noodles and the onion being the best part of the dish as they soaked up the lovely sukiyaki sauce. The chicken collagen hot pot is flavourful and not oily. The shio ponzu which came with the hotpot is excellent, bringing out the flavours of the ingredients without overpowering them. The porridge at the end is the highlight, soaking up all the rich broth. Ordered a kinki (not the red one though),half served as sashimi, and half grilled. The fish was fresh and well grilled. The plus point, it only cost $48, which is a very reasonable price. Service is prompt and the staff are really friendly, it's a great place to go as a group.

Visited earlier today for dinner. Food was top notch, very friendly service and wonderful ambience . All dishes we had and sashimi was very good quality . Would highly recommend . Not easy to find at the moment because of some building work and fence that is covering the front but it was worth looking for. The lady who served us and the lady at the end of our meal Theresa - both were lovely . Theresa gave us some local advice as well. Thank you for a great evening and making us feel welcome . Highly recommended 🙏

Been to Torikin twice and both times my taste buds are delighted by the food here. Ordered 2 different kinds of hotpot. One is the classic chicken, and the other is the wagyu intestines. Both are so good but the broth can get salty towards the end. Must order side dishes are the homemade tofu, tsukune, and pork belly. Lots of Japanese visit here it seems, so I guess there’s authenticity. Nice place for food and chilling. Must make reservations as I’ve seen them turning people away during dinner hours.

Food here was absolute fresh and delicious! Had the signature collagen chicken soup and the homemade tofu, tofu was so good we had a 2nd serving, and then ordered a takeaway too😁. Service staff Theresa was definitely a delight! She was enthusiastic in sharing the dishes and methods of eating it with us. Never seen such a happy f&b worker🤣 It was definitely an enjoyable dining experience:) can’t wait to be back soon!

The collagen chicken hotpot here is just delicious heartwarming soul food. The chicken tempura was also great, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Waiting time was a bit long but understandable as they were understaffed. Hopefully the waiting time will improve on my next visit!

There aren't many Japanese restaurants in Singapore that will serve this very special and hard to prepare dish from Kyushu. It takes a lot of hard work and dedication. Not easily copied by other restaurants. Torikin offers delicious chicken collagen hot pot amongst many other specialty foods. The chicken collagen pot is must try, for that delicious and glutinous textured stock and absolutely top quality fresh chicken meat. Despite its plain taste, it's extremely difficult to cook to perfection. It's heart warming and satisfying. Service is wonderful and efficient. We were lucky to be served by a friendly Singaporean lady Theresa, who is very friendly and patient in recommending is what to try, and took time to serve us the hot pot. Otherwise, we wouldn't know where to start and when to do what. She added to the perfection of the wonderful evening. For my friend's birthday, Torikin so generously gave my friend a lovely ice cream with a candle and sing song, which was a very lovely surprise. We will definitely come again and highly recommend to everyone.

Impeccable meal as usual! My go-to for the best comfort (and clean) meal in town and Theresa is always so caring and goes the ten thousand extra mile to make us feel at home.

Tried the chicken collagen hotpot. Cooked for 8 hours... yum... tasty and full of collagen. You can add some salt, spring onion and or ponzu sauce. Good to add some ponzu sauce to your chicken as the chicken is not pre-seasoned. Understand the chicken is from sapporo. You can end with porridge or ramen. Crab croquettes are tasty too. So is the strawberry ice cream.. a lovely end to the wonderful meal ;) Will be back again.

Fantastic food and excellent service staff. We had the beef sukiyaki, crab croquette and chicken skin . Everything was delicious and close to quality found in Japan. Very happy with this last minute random find. Highly recommended

Homemade tofu was nice and creamy. We waited more than 15min for the gyoza and chicken karaage and both came lukewarm, probably they were forgotten and left in the kitchen. Mitzutaki was fine but not the best. The waitress was helping other customers with the cooking but did not want to help us despite us asking. She also said would show us some sake but never came back with it. Overall, food is not bad but service is lacking.

Service by Theresa is superb. Chicken hotpot is nice. Tofu is unique especially with the wasabi. Chicken tempura and Gyoza is a must try. Will return.

This is the 2nd time I have visited this place. The waitress Theresa recommends the homemade tofu and the tuna belly and they are great, esp the tofu. The tofuis delicious. The tuna was a bit too sour. Theresa is veey friendly and helpful with the recommendations, not to forget the caramel ice cream and the mizutaki. Delicious soup and tender chicken!
