👍👍 Superb quality of sashimi. Cuts were excellent and the freshest you can imagine. Each slice is hefty and substantial as well. Definitely a bang for your buck. Definitely value for money with the freshest sashimi i’ve had in Singapore. I love the ala carte concept (even before the pandemic) as well as the “specials” (not included in the buffet) offerings. We appreciate that they already have a full spread of sashimi ready as soon as you seat. Now for the disappointing part.. the seating was suppose to start 8:15pm but we only got in around 8:30pm, and then last order was rushed at 9:30pm. Miramar Hotel was under some sort of renovation, had to go through a dodgy back alley with ramps. Actually saw a lady fall on her knees ;(. Service was chaotic cause they still use paper for ordering, the food takes forever to arrive. While food was excellent for the price point, everything else was a let down. I think they should start investing on ordering via app so the service crew can focus expediting food. That being said, they tried their best with the resources they have. Don’t let this rating discourage you from trying Ikoi though.. it still is great value for money and the food offering is yummy! I had to be honest so they can improve their service. ;) Book early as the restaurant is a bit small with limited seats.

I recently dined at IKOI Japanese restaurant and had mixed feelings about the experience. The food quality was quite decent, with a variety of fresh sushi and sashimi options that pleased my palate. However, the glaring downside was the slow service. It took an unusually long time for our orders to arrive, and getting the attention of the staff was a challenge. While the flavors were on point, the service lag left me feeling frustrated. If you have plenty of time to spare and prioritize food quality over speed, IKOI might be worth a visit.

My 2nd time at Ikoi! Went on a Friday lunch slot from 11.30am-2.30pm (love that they do not implement short buffet timings & you could sit for the full 3 hours to dine slowly if you're a slow eater). Fortunate that it wasn't so crowded when I went with my friends to have a birthday celebrate. Food is good - love their salmon appetiser, salmon sashimi, oden & california maki. Portion size is small & usually ordered in pieces so it is perfect as you get to taste different items. Tempura was soso. Service was fine too. $52.97/Pax after including GST & service charge. Desserts are not included in the buffet price. Appreciate that the restaurant also called me the day before to confirm the number of pax dining which is a good customer service practice!

Visited the restaurant for dinner. It is located in Hotel Miramar. The place is not easily accessible via train so a bus may be ideal. The restaurant is usually very crowded so it is recommended that a reservation is made in advance. There is a good variety of food options available but the ordering system is through the staff using paper and pen. Hence, it is good to plan your orders early and order accordingly as it may be difficult to catch the staff’s attention during peak dining hours. The food tastes great! The sashimi is fresh and sweet. The portions are also reasonable. Definitely worth a try!

Japanese buffet was serve upon ordering, item are all serve in one pieces. Serve upon order. Sashimi was good. Tempura is not as nice. Sushi rice is too wet and soft, taste like those sushi off the rack. Order was missed out. No free flow of soft drink or ice cream, you have to pay for it. Space is small and squeezy.

Visited again after 7 years. Found the food quality has dropped drastically. For the cost, there are many other restaurants offering much better quality. This place used to be my favourite for many years. I am actually very disappointed.

We had the dinner buffet. Sashimi portions were generous n thick. The mini cold somen was good. We also liked the hand rolls, grilled dishes. Tempura was average. While the value is good ($50), I wish there were more variety. There was no beef dish unless you want beef curry rice or noodles.

Went on a Sunday night Buffet was $38++ per person, came up to $44.46 per person. The 11 photos attached show everything that my friend and I ate within the 90 minute dining period. And by that, we mean that it was extremely little food. Granted, the sashimi was fresh and of good quality, but that was about it as far as the food was concerned. The rest of the offerings were very underwhelming in taste and portion. You will need to make a reservation via phone call. The restaurant appeared to be understaffed. The ordering system leaves much to be desired - the menu does not state the quantity or portion size, there are no pictures for reference, and you have to tell the service staff your order and they write everything down - there is no order chit. Plus you gotta struggle to pronounce the Japanese names and clarify portion sizes as you go. Since you have to place your order with a service staff who writes it down, you are part of a long queue of people who are vying for the attention of said service staff; don't expect to order soon We weren't the only customers that went through this experience; I was looking around the restaurant since there was no food in front of me for most of the 90 minutes and I just saw people getting more and more annoyed at the lack of food as the minutes went by. Nobody was getting much food at all. Do not buy the buffet here expecting to eat, you'll get barely anything for your money. Needless to say, I am thoroughly disappointed. PSA - there's a certain carrot maki in the menu, it's literally raw carrot inside sushi rice. I don't think anyone should be getting that. The good - sashimi was fresh and of good quality. This gave it the two stars I guess, for those who come by and want to order ala carte

Been here 2 times. My First time experience was quite good and fast service maybe because my colleague is their regular customer. First time having dinner buffet on weekdays after work and my second time was for lunch on Saturday noon. The service was slow on my second visit. Booked at 11.30 am and took about 20-25 mins to service sashimi to us, to be honest; kinda disappointed and it was getting better after 1 hour plus. $38++, around $45 per person. Sashimi and other cooked food were nice and fresh. They served complimentary seafood soup for everyone but must have it while still hot if not it will be fishy. Heard they always full house and recommended to book table 1-2 weeks in advance. I love their ginger pickles, they put a small jar on each table. We finished all of them. This Japanese restaurant is located in Hotel Miramar and this hotel is one of the SHN hotels and hotel lobby is closed during this time. There is a signage on the left side of the hotel entrance and Ikoi is located at level 1. Overall the food was ok and price is average.

Food was nice and staff were friendly. However it’s a little cramped (with no place for bags) and a little short staffed Favourite place since 2011 whenever we could find some time to satisfy sashimi craving

I was there with my family a few days ago. Like many others, I find the food more than decent and good value for money. Variety is acceptable too. The pain is in the service. First couple of times they were quite prompt to take orders, and the food arrived faster than we expected, especially for sashimi and handrolls. Subsequently the service is excruciating slow.. and I think it's deliberate. They want to serve the newer or just arrived guests first. Took 20 minutes to get my third order after numerous times of being ignored. Overall the food is good but is it worth the frustration? I think not.

Experience one of the finest Japanese buffet restaurants in Singapore! With a focus on quality over quantity, every dish is a delightful treat that won't disappoint. Each plate is meticulously prepared and beautifully presented, adding to the overall appeal. To ensure a seamless dining experience, it's advisable to make a reservation before your visit. They offer two sessions for both lunch and dinner, accommodating different schedules. Whether it's a romantic dinner date or a gathering with family and friends, this restaurant is perfect for any occasion. Highly recommended for an unforgettable dining experience!

First time trying, i can say this one lady staff who taking order was very rude. Showing faces and clearing table unwillingly. Their menu have no photo, because is all words we wouldn't know which are nice so we ask her to recommemd she just brush us off say she wouldn't know because we are the one eating and giving us fake laugh. Food have standards but their customer service is not up to it. Their space very small and take note that buffet durations 2hrs but only can order within 1 hr time.. and they will give you bills. Is so hard to book slot here because the staff will never answer calls and the phone keep ringing all the way and no music as well. Very stress and noisy environment because many family and kids around.

Great place for close to authentic and fresh Japanese food, everything is to order (how many slices of sashimi, rolls, chicken, noodles and rice). Highly recommend the sashimi and California rolls, fresh and delicious. Rice and noodles are individual portions, japanese tea is complimentary, soft drinks and alcohol are additional charges.

-Book early thru whatsapp one week in advance. -appox 45sgd net/person for buffet. -Suggest to read the menu before going to save time on ordering as it will be busy. Also to order more at the 1st order as the 2nd order will usually be delay.Do note that order will be taken like how many slices/pieces of sashimi/sushi,etc u need. -Time limit approx 2 hours. -Salmon & swordfish sashimi, salmon skin handroll, very delicious.plus had lots of other variety(capelins, mackeral, agedeshi tofu, tempura, sushi etc). -Free flow of hot/cold green tea Highly recommend!

Great place to have a ala carte buffet with work colleagues over the weekend. Good if you enjoy sashimi as they are always fresh. Good portions to share especially the premium dishes. Fried items pale but palatable. A long time favourite since my school days!

Delicious delicious delicious! If you love Salmon Sashimi, please go and try it at Ikoi. It's juicy and fresh! California Roll is refreshing with the cucumbers. This time I took Salmon Skin Roll, so it has pieces of crispy skin inside. For Tempuras, try Ebi and Shitake! Their complimentary Salmon Belly Sashimi Appetizer and seafood soup are as good as the times I had gone to Ikoi over the years. The stir-fried vegetables (Yasai Itame) are sweet and not oily. Number 1 Japanese Restaurant value for money and quality! Complementary Green Tea has been served over the years I've went to Ikoi and even as recent as a few days back.

Food is okay (sashimi is fresh) but service is terrible.. Halfway thru our meal, the staff completely and abruptly stopped preparing our orders n started preparing for seemingly round 2 of costumers without even informing (even though there are still a few of us customers in the midst of eating…). First time i have seen such a behaviour in a restaurant, it felt like we weren’t being served anymore n we could not get their attention bc they were busy with the round change. They didnt even bother to refill our green tea.. Waited for 25 mins bfore food is served again. Also, do note that only a few of the waiters available can take orders while the rest only can top up tea/clear plates.. substantially slowing down the ordering process, so its a long wait if u still wanna get more food even though its a buffet… maybe thats how they make profit.

Came here on a Sat for dinner. Started off the buffet with a complimentary seasoned salmon sashimi. If you're a sashimi lover, you have to try their fresh sashimi here! Their salmon sashimi is thick and juicy!! Their serving time for food takes slightly longer but it is understandable as all their dishes are freshly made (unlike some buffet restaurants that serves their dishes Cold.....) However one downside is on their tempuras as it lacked freshness and the batter is not flavourful enough. But overall still worth it!

Visited many times to Ikoi but got a little disappointed with the quality this time round. Sashimi is fresh as usual but was served with a sword fish which was not thaw properly. Also the standard of the complimentary soup in pot has dropped tremendously, first time didn’t finish the soup, otherwise the rest of the dishes like tempura and grilled items are all good just like before. With the price increased to $50++ per pax and quality Ikoi has certainly lose it’s value for money factor which draws many customers in the past. Ikoi certainly need to improve the quality and standard from now, otherwise competitors will catch up real quick.

50sgd++ each adult, heard they increase pricing. Originally was from 35sgd++. Small shop at hotel lobby. They have 3 aircon units, but they only open 1 aircon unti, so it was quite warm inside. Green tea and salmon sashimi was already place on table when we reach there. They are using alot of nice fragile plates unlike other shops. Grilled items need 30mins to be served. So please order fast. I enjoyed their tomato bacon roll, despite long wait. Grilled salmon very dry, not nice. They have a wide range of tempura from prawn to onions, like their prawn, sweet potato and onions. Most of their items are single size one. Love their salmon skin temaki. Their green tea not those roasted green tea one.

1st time here and my friend has to book 2-3 weeks in advance for our allocated slot. Sashimi options are a wide variety but please do not over order which may lead to food wastage 🙏 staff allows you to choose the number of pieces for sashimi slices, sushi pieces. Portion size are small which allows control. Free flow Ocha which was nice and I love how upon going in, there is already edamame and a salmon sashimi starting dish for us. Midway, chef's compliments gave us a delicious soup in a teapot! Price point wise really think it's value for money Each paying at $58+. Wonder how the kitchen is handling the dish washing because every dish u order comes in its own plate. Even if it is just 1 ebi tempura 🍤 Food portion scale is as per shown with my finger haha Personally found the menu to be very user unfriendly and lots of room for imagination with the lack of photos and vague description.

My dad, brother and I went for dinner tonight and everything was great. They are very shorthanded so as customers we have to be more empathetic. Food wise they are very fresh and well cooked! I will definitely be back again!! Keep up your good work and keep your spirit high always Judy!! You and your team are doing the best you can!

4 words: super value for money The range of food in the buffet is extensive and it covers all the basic Japanese food. The quality is good and fresh! They will even serve a salmon sashimi appetiser once you are seated. The only minor downside is that they are often short staffed and ordering of food might be slightly harder and longer. So make sure you order loads each round 🤭 You’ll thank me later.

First time trying this Japanese buffet - sashimi is great but the other dishes are quite underwhelming at $50++ per adult. The place is also cramped and small with limited seating. Not a kids friendly place too, as they don’t have baby chair - only a booster seat.

Reasonably-priced Japanese buffet in Singapore! Order from a wide selection of dishes such as sashimi, sushi, maki, tempura, menrui, sonata, yakimono, and gohan mono. Prices for adult and child are $50 and $30 respectively.

this buffet is worth it if you’re a big eater or if you’re dining w a group of friends. very good portions and quality of sashimi, they were very thick slices 😋 other items were hit and miss. my favorites include: yakitori, veggie tempura, salmon skin roll, curry beef rice, seafood soup.

I was here few years back and glad that it still opening. However, it seem the food standard has been dropped. It was obvious lack of staff (sushi chef) as it was prepared by a service staff who last time serve as server. Food need to be waited after order.

3rd time here and definitely one of the best sashimi in town! Just a tad disappointed that the tuna sashimi is unavailable. Must order their salmon skin handroll, teapot soup, and their alacart matcha icecream!

This restaurant is located as the inner side of Hotel Miramar and generally wouldn't be seen or known, but it took my group 3 weeks in advance for us to secure a table at this restaurant. But it was worth the wait. This all you can eat sushi buffet is priced super affordable for the quality of sushi and sashimi you get. My group ordered almost everything that was on the menu except for the dons and the cutlets. The sashimi was amazing and we got 2 orders of the platter because we just kept finishing it. The tempura wasn't too oily and it was very light but the flavor was there. The atmosphere was also very peaceful. Top tier sashimi, amazing price and just an amazing experience dining here. Would definitely come back when sushi cravings are back, but would probably have to wait a bit :D
