I was pleasantly surprised and how gorgeous the decor at this place was! The air con area was really cost and the Alfresco section was hip and trendy! I had the pork knuckles as appetizers and the skin was ultimate crunchy. To wash it down, the signature lobster porridge had a hearty broth and was reminiscent of my grandma’s porridge. And to satisfy my western cravings, the Beast burger was juicy with little crunchy bacon bits! An absolutely satisfying meal in an area of Roberson Quay which I never knew existed!

Lunch at Beast & Butterfiles. Ordered their grilled meats, we had the roasted chicken, baby back ribs, ribeye steak and the lamb chop. Very tasty and flavourful. Can taste the charred flavored on our meat. The place was slightly run down, aircon wasn't strong. Overall, food was still good!

Surprisingly good and economical for an all-day hotel restaurant. Hotel guests get 20% off food too making it excellent value, plus it's a great spot by the Singapore River for people watching.

At Beast & Butterflies — the culinary experience is nothing short of exceptional. The crispy pork knuckles, scrumptious burgers, and tender pork ribs are just a few highlights from their extensive menu. The chefs' attention to detail and commitment to quality shine through in every dish.

A great place for a weekend brunch. Right by the river and really nicely done interior. The bottomless mimosas are the best!!! And the food was great, I loved the lobster roll, the chocolate cake was scrummy! Yum!!!

Brought my hubby out for his birthday late lunch. The food was only ok tasting but very pricey for such a ok tasting food. A bit disappointed with their plating. The salad beside the main dish (Rocket leaves) were so plain. Not a mixed salad.... So boring with presentation.

Was delighted to dine here. All of my friends kept praising their food especially the crispy pork knuckle! Definitely must try when you dine there. Great modern Mediterranean setting and cozy ambiance. Food came faster than expected even they are having a full house during our time of visit. Shall come back again to try other food.

This restaurant had a fantastic atmosphere, you could sit in the open area or choose air conditioning if you needed. The menu had a great selection, especially if you are with a group of mixed Food preferences! Our food was just perfect, tasty and good portions. The staff that served us tonight were so friendly and helpful. Is a more peaceful part of the River to dine - Was one of our best meals on our Singapore trip.

Love the nice, modern Mediterranean vibe & the cozy atmosphere. Food was delicious and the portions were great for sharing. We ordered the Father’s Day Promotion which was a king version of the Beast Burger which came with fries & a glass of half-pint Tiger beef for only $35! That was a delicious but really messy affair. 😂 The Kurobuta Pork Belly Claypot Rice was surprisingly good, Baby Back Ribs were tender, juicy & succulent & Crispy Pork Knuckle had a crispy, crackling skin but tender meat! 😋 Everyone enjoyed the food immensely. Effort was put into the desserts but they were a bit of a let down. Service from Armando & Rose were excellent…they were friendly, professional & took care of us well from start to end. Overall, very happy we decided to try Beast & Butterflies for our Father’s Day Celebration! What made it even better was that signing up for the Ala Carte rewards membership entitled us to 10% off our total bill, $10 voucher which we could redeem plus a complimentary bottle of M wine worth $68 to bring home!

Amazing place, very vibrant, nice food and love the staff who are very helpful. Fridays are very busy, make a reservation before you go. Lunch time is not Soo busy I usually find a table without much trouble. At this time restrictions of 5 ppl per group apply. So would be good to check on group restrictions before you go.

Love the Lillet brunch experience with Lillet Blanc served with soda/tonic and toppings. Value for money! Good variety of food selection and tasted above average.

The American breakfast with scrambled eggs is not bad. Standard quality of sausages, bacon and eggs you get from a restaurant. Scrambled eggs is a little too loose for my liking thought, prefer it to be a little bit stickier.

Part of the restaurant of the hotel I stayed in for 3D2N. Found the prices slightly pricy but was surprised by the food. It was good. They had indoor as well as outdoor sitting. Atmosphere was nice. For the breakfast buffet, the interesting thing was an omelette and sunny side up making machine. There were promotions with passion card for the month of June 22 and klook vouchers to lighten the bill. Ate the yummy baby back rib and beast burger.

Order takeaway for the crispy pork knuckles! It was sumptuously, skin was well crisp and charred. Although the pork knuckles not hot enough and portion is abit small for a full knuckle, the taste of the meat was great. Recommended!!

Crispy pork knuckle was good but not as mind-blowing as I'd been led to believe. Apple pie was excellent, the Manhattan solid, and the service was very kind.. All around great casual place.

Designed by Philippe Stark, this is a great hangout venue by the river that has both outdoor and indoor environment. 👍🏼 Food was good, the fried squid in batter, pork knuckles and spam fries stood out. It has a super location at the beginning of Robertson Quay with a wide variety of 🥤 and cocktails 🍹. The restaurant is actually part of M Social’s all day dining restaurant.

We started off with the calamari while waiting for our friend. The batter was light but crispy, the squid was fresh and not overcooked. The whole seasoning was lovely. Then we ordered the Burrata. Another good dish! Shared the beast cheeseburger. Beef was juicy medium rare and I appreciated the well toasted burger potato bun (a plus if it was gluten-free). We also had the half portion of pork knuckles. A small portion for sharing but good size with all the food we had. Crispy crackling soft tender pork. At this point we were very satisfied but decided that our friend deserved to try the calamari so we ordered another one. I would definitely come back here again. Do note water is $2 per person (free flow)

Food is not fantastic for the price. Didn’t really appreciate that they charge $2 for water. For a restaurant where I already have a hard time finding something nice to write about… (to be fair, the staff do try very hard to deliver good service)… this negative point really kills it. Won’t be back.

Food is like a fusion up kind of local dishes. Taste can differ from the general hawker dishes. The pork belly is mind blowing! Try not to sit too close to the central area as the speakers located there might be too loud for chit chats.

Must not miss out this crispy pork knuckle, its a must to try it. 😋 portion was big to share among few friends with other delights. Peaceful ambience, great place to dine in and chill out with friends and family. Desserts was alluring too. Friendly staffs, great services 👍 check out their selections in their menu... Trust me if you have stomach of bull, you will want to ear them all.

Although 3 starred, I would go again knowing what the service level is like and having a better expectation of the experience. I met a friend who now lives in Singapore here while on vacation. We split a salad (not the Ceasar I forgot the name though), their Beast Burger & the Salmon. They do not offer tap water so we got a $4 bottle of still. Which is not a problem as my restaurant sells Aqua Pana / Pelligrino for $7 USD in San Jose California but what was disappointing was the service experience. Once sat You order your own food from a QR code. Your water isn’t setup until request (I arrived early at 6:20 and my friend at 6:40 - we did not get any water til around 6:50) You can’t have tap water at all it must be bottled. I believe in tipping but I also believe in service - and of course the variety of levels of service. It was a bit frustrating there was an automatic service fee. It felt as if I was at a McDonald’s and there was also an automatic service because we essentially served ourselves. Food wise: Salmon was great. I enjoyed the peppers and mushrooms. The burger was ok. Enjoyable but nothing special for it being their one burger. Their fries were undercooked (like In & Out fries yea I said it lol) They replaced it with a fresh basket hopefully spit / retaliation free but I’m Filipino so I ate it. It was a nice place - but don’t expect good service, or service at all really. My travel partners wanted to join and attempted to make a reservation same day for 6:30 as well but they claimed they were fully booked. It was <30% capacity though and even at that attention to service was a bit lack luster - but I presume they may have been understaffed as we in F&B usually are. A nice place to be if you’re okay guiding yourself through the experience and having minimal server interaction and recommendation and are with a great group of people.

Ordered spam fries, slamon tatare & cod fish. Food was good. Iced latte and iced chocolated was so-so. But they have friendly staff! Shiloh is very attentive. Nice atmosphere too!

was genuinely quite surprised with the quality of the food. the best dishes of the night would definitely be the calamari with its salty (might be too much if you’re not a fan of salt) and unique batter. my favourite would be the beef ragu pasta even though it was quite a small portion for the price. the pork collar had fat that melted in your mouth and the garlic bulgogi sauce went well. however, the prawn linguine with lobster bisque sauce was way too salty and the salmon fillet was average.

Nice cosy ambience. Great for a gathering with friends or a simple family dinner. Food was delicious and came fast. Excellent service from the staff. Special shout out to server Armando who knew his wines well and recommended a solid Sancerre to us.

This restaurant is a gem! We came here to celebrate my wife’s birthday and we were blown away by the quality of the food and the service. Our waiter, Armando, was the best. He was very friendly and professional. He gave us great recommendations and checked on us frequently. He was so kind and thoughtful. He made our night special and we felt like royalty. This is one of the best dining experiences we have ever had. We will definitely come back and ask for Armando again.

A nice resturant by the river. A nice place to stop by for coffee or drink when you cycle or take a walk along the river. I had a Laksa and 2 beers. The also had their oysters promotion on Friday, thought is pretty small but it only cost a dollar each. They delivered my Laksa late and compensated me with a dessert. Will be back again for sure given the great service and good food.

Lobster bisque was too hot, becarful or you will burn your mouth. Salmon was served too fast (the same time as the soup), could had been cooked beforehand as it was dried and cold. Best thing is the steak which was cooked just nice and juicy. The molten chocolate cake was too sweet, whould taste better with vanilla ice cream instead of chocolate magnum

Brilliant location, lovely decor, nice staff as well... But the heart of any restaurant is the food and the menu on offer. That's where I felt there's loads of room for improvement. We got reeled in by the menu seen on Google Maps... After arriving here, realized that it's not the same menu in the restaurant. Order the two Salmon dishes and one of them was definitely a let down. The pan seared Salmon was good, but the Torched Salmon with Avocado was quite a disappointment - too soft and bland. They don't have much in terms of starters and the portion sizes are small as well. So order accordingly. Lastly, there's nothing in here for vegetarians. So if you have a veggie in your group, this place won't be satisfactory at all.

There weren’t many people around since we went on a week day. Food and drinks were served fast. Highly recommend the drink options. Drink menu looks very unique, not something you often come by at other restaurants. We ordered some light food and they were great too. Saw other tables got other dishes that looked huge and delicious. Would come again next time to try more things.

Good place with nice and chill ambience. The burger was great too. However, the service was bad. Had a 20% discount to use but was not notified by the waiter that it is excluded on certain items. Furthermore, the waitress refused to split the promotion and non-promotion items on separate receipts so the 20% can be used.

Amusing breakfast experience! Buffet breakfast was mediocre and tad bit dry. The kaya toast was good though with the 'traditional' touch. I like it!

  • 1/5 Heidi M. 2 years ago on Google
Location was nice, but service was not up to standard. The staff was clearly not well-versed with their work and couldn’t offer a “let me check and get back to you” when we had questions on the menu. When we asked if a drink not on the menu could be made, the bartender retorted a “ask them to read the menu” when our table was within ear-shot. Our afternoon was dampened because of such poor service

Impressed with the ambience and service. Nice and breezy on a weekday afternoon in the outdoor area. Many others were enjoying their lunch here. Not impressed by the Asian selections. I had kurobata pork belly with claypot rice. Soft boiled egg topped the rice too. Crispy cracker and pickled vegetables at the side. Presentation was good but the rice did not have 锅气 and the belly was overly sweet. My friend had the nasi goreng. Quite normal as well. Suggest going for other items rather than the Asian food.

  • 3/5 Sasi K. 1 year ago on Google
Food was good, but didn't have a lot of the selections as shown in the website. Eg. only two types of burger were available from the seven shown in the website. Not kid friendly as they do not provide the kids friendly plates and cups only gave the plastic cup when requested. Service was bad with staff making a face when asked if they had kid friendly plates and cups. Brought the wrong order and just took it back again showing face and no apology. Overall it seemed like they were there to only serve the expats not the locals from my observations on how they interacted with the other tables. Great place for couples and to have a drink or two. But not for families with kids. My two cents is for them to change some of their menu and make it family friendly as they have a condo just beside and couple of hotels where families will come and stay.
