First time here as I like to go Zam Zam next door. Pleasantly surprised. The place was rather crowded but they managed to find me a seat. The young man at the counter was nice and friendly to take my order. The mutton Biryani I ordered was not heavy. I find it less rich than Zam Zam but was still unique in its ow way. The teh tarik was rather good too. I did not have the opportunity to try the others but will look forward to the murtabaks and other stuff.

Not sure why Victory has lesser customers these days. Their murtabak is absolutely amazing and thick. The dough was flavorful. I don’t need to mention who their rivals are, but Victory deserves more attention. For $6, this was the best bang for your buck. Very juicy and generous portion of chicken in the murtabak. The roti was also thick and crispy, not thin. Overall, a victory for me.

After an afternoon and evening of exploring Singapore, we had developed quite an appetite. My friend suggested this place for murtabak. There were several size choices and we shared the second smallest - wow - there was a tonne of food and we even had to take the leftovers home as we couldn’t get through it

Murtabak not up to expectations. Tried the beef and chicken murtabak. Beef was a tad dry. Chicken tasted better, but there were so many bones in the dish. Murtabak flour was a bit on the saltish side. Sorry to say that this place did not live up to its hype. The only thing which was good was their teh tarik (less sweet).

First visit to this legendary resto. Ordered their famous martabak and biryani rice. Both are super good. Service are fast and efficient. will definitely come back when visiting Singapore.

Recommended by a family member for a late lunch at this place and ordered their mutton bryani, deer meat and chicken murtabak, mutton masala, mee mamak, squids and fried chicken. Mutton bryani was tender, the murtabak was a bit special with the curry sauce. The mee was also nice. Service was quick and staff was helpful because they agreed to open up the closed section of the restaurant for us as there were more seats upstairs. Price is a bit on the upper side but it’s okay for this great location of the city ..

This place is next to Arab Street, opp to Sultan Mosque on the main road. Over the weekend, they sell exotic meat murtabak like the Deer Murtabak. They sell lots of Indian Muslim food. The food is a tad bit pricier compared to other Murtabak shops but considering it’s a tourist spot I get it. The service was good, food was quite okay. I think the shop next door was more bustling and popular but we couldn’t get a seat there. Overall, my experience of food was okay.

Not as good as Zam Zam’s. We always go to our order Zam Zam’s when we want a murtarbak fix & decided to try the competition to see if we were missing anything. Overall I would say the food is very similar to the neighbourhood restaurant but the difference comes down to taste preference. I’m he curry & seasonings at Victory are just a little to sweet for us. The murtabak is filled with a good portion of meat though which is nice. No major issues so recommend you try both & decide which you prefer.

Fantastic murtabak here. The curry that comes with it packs the perfect punch! Along this streets there are the 3 legendary stalls all selling similar food but with their own unique taste and standards. I like victory best because of the friendly staffs here. It’s just feels like home here. *Do note that that the restaurants here will prioritize sitting Muslims who are breaking fast during the holy month of Ramadan so plan your dinner here after 745pm for those who don’t fast, if not just do takeaway! For those breaking fast here they give out dates to everyone and I thought that is very sweet.

Came by on a rainy day. Was not too crowded compared to Zam Zam next door. Ordered chicken briyani. The chicken was tender and flavourful. The rice portion was large. However, the rice was not steaming hot and thus was not too nice. There were also chucks of rice a bit undercooked.

Briyani rice is different anywhere you go but will always have some sort of consistency. The briyani rice in Victory Restaurant is similar to most out there, the acar that comes with it is not your typical vinegar or fruit Malaysian acar, whilst the murtabak is similar but not 😁 Prices range between SGD6 for the Murtabak depending on the price whilst the nasi briyani starts at SGD8 a plate. I was so hungry because I skipped lunch that I bought a plate of nasi briyani for myself but I didn’t finish it so I’d suggest one plate for two is enough. Different but tasty all the same. Portion is big and filling.

Victory is just next to Zam Zam.Zam Zam was crowded and so we decided to dine in at Victory instead. 2 levels. U can choose to eat at level 1 or you can go up to level 2 where there's more seats. Food was okay. Not so bad actually. Service was good and acceptable. Environment =>It was not so crowded and not noisy too.

Tuna murtabak from this restaurant is SO GOOD. Even after taking out and reheating it, still tastes amazing. Definitely recommend! (The second floor of the building is air conditioned)

I ordered us the Fish Biryani ($9) and Bee Hoon Goreng Pattaya Ayam ($more than 7) along with Teh Tarik and Kopi Cino. Sigh. I should have gone to Zam Zam. The Biryani was disappointing for 3 reasons 1. The fish was too small 2. The dish was cold 3. There was no pappadam or acchar included The bee hoon was a tad bit bland and not as haps as we were hoping.

Always a win for quick servings. We had a chicken murtabak small-sized and chicken briyani for lunch. They tasted decent and kept our hungry tummies happy; I think that's what matter especially a long walk around Arab St!

UPDATE: 09 February 2023 I missed their Beef Briyani so I came back and ordered the same. The portion was still the same, a lot! The taste is even better and the service is really amazing! Service was outstanding. Staff were all smiling and polite. Their beef briyani is exactly what i wanted. Not too salty but just right on the money. Will definitely come back there again.

Very rude waiter made it a point to dump whole pile of dirty dishes atop mine and leave a dirty cup behind to 'persuade' me to leave quickly after my meal even when there was low crowd. If this is the new service level the restaurant is aiming for, no wonder the low crowd.

Amazing, amazing, amazing place and the food is just the same as when i was a kid. Loved the place and will always be a beautiful memory for me! Murtabak is better than zam zam in my opinion.

Nice chicken murtabak and very fast service. Dined here twice at peak evening hours and the food was served very quickly. Great view of the Sultan Mosque right opposite the restaurant.

My regular hangout if I'm craving for mutton murtabak. The staff know what I want as i come here for breakfast at least twice a month. Hot and crispy murtabak with a cup of less sweet ginger tea is the best combo.

I was craving for my favorite Chicken Murtabak from Sin Ming Prata after being away from Singapore for a while. They are closed until Nov 7 because of the coffee shop renovation. To satisfy my cravings, I googled and found some good reviews about Victory and Al Tasneem. I decided to try them both and made a comparison. They were both takeouts. I got to Victory first. The small chicken Murtabak was $8. I was shocked when they brought it out instantly after payment. It was precooked. Anyway, I kept an open mind since I was making a comparison. Next stop was Al Tasneem a couple of shops away. Their small was reasonably priced at $6. And freshly made. See pictures. I requested for Chicken curry gravy from both restaurants. Brought them home and you can see from the pictures, left is Al Tasneem and right is Victory and their curries. Al Tasneem is wrapped with banana leaf while Victory is wrapped in paper. To be honest, they tasted very similar. I was all hyped up by previous reviews but was very disappointed with both the taste and texture. The dipping curries from both were even more sad with hardly any chicken taste other than curry powder. My final verdict: Wait for Sin Ming Roti Prata to reopen. I guessed none of the various online reviewers have tried Sin Ming yet. But to get really good food, you got to get in line and be extremely patient. Good luck!

Been patronising this shop since my school days, revisited with my husband today. Food is still as good, really like their briyani and murtabak. Rice is very fluffy and chicken is fall off the bone tender. Fish curry is nicely fragrant. Staff is polite and responsive. So I don’t understand why people feel like they must attack this restaurant? Objectively, the food is good and I had a very pleasant experience.

Roti prata portion is big and price is reasonable. I actually came for the nasi briyani but it was not available at that early hour. Apparently nasi briyani is only available after 930am. Nevertheless was very satisfied with the breakfast meal.

Was here after visiting Golden Landmark Mall. Parents used to get my favorite murtabak from Zam Zam, but my siblings preferred briyani here so decided to lunch here. Ordered chicken briyani, like the soft pilaf rice, chicken thigh was tender but pity the yummy gravy that's with the chicken on the pilaf is too little. Next had the mutton murtabak. True it's crispy, but somehow taste is bit lacking as compared with its neighbour. The fish gravy that comes with it tastes typical, nothing to shout about. The teh tarik is alright, strong taste of ginger and mildly sweet. Service wise is alright, not too many patrons at that time, merely look at menu and ordered. To sum it all, it is not really a satisfying meal for me, my friend whom we had the same dishes at Zam Zam too agreed to that. Well, again as mentioned, taste wise is a very individual thing...

Murtabak was okay, $5 for this. Comes with curry and cucumber. Would give 3.5 stars, but friendly staff and decent bathroom so 4 stars.

1st visit. Like d food especially when d restaurant is not crowded (yet). Prata n maggi goreng r both not greasy. Drinks r mildly sweet, unlike d other prata places. Wait staff is well-mannered n organised. I enjoy d visit v much!

Prata for breakfast. 1 kosong, 1 telor with kari ikan. 1 cawan teh tarik. I was the one and only customer in the restaurant. Can see there's already ready made prata. I still proceed to order it nonetheless and 1 cup of teh tarik to wash down the oiliness. The prata came nicely sliced up for easy eating, fish curry is too salty for me. The prata is crispy and some bitterness probably due to the charred portion. Teh tarik is good, sweetness is just right. Wanted to take away Briyani with fried chicken. Unfortunately the fried chicken is not ready.

Like… It’s quite excellent! Their briyani rice is HUGE! The mutton is HUGE! The murtabak is DELICIOUS! Although you have to comply with their unique way of serving the food.

We faced 2 issues at the restaurant for take away: 1. We ordered for self-pick up via Grabfood app. It wasn’t working on their end, but for some reason, the app showed that it was. Unfortunately, wehad to get there to find out about it, and then spent 10 more minutes waiting after we placed a new order in person. 2. We bought murtabak ayam XL. It’s usually great and we’ll eat it over 2 days. But this time, it was sour by midnight on the same day, despite us letting it cool down before storing. We suspect the state of the chicken meat filling was questionable from the beginning. TLDR: not a great experience for takeaway. Might be better for dining in.
