πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌ 1st time here. The Omakase menu deal is definitely great value for money πŸ‘πŸΌ experience - the owner-chef is nice & friendly. He is clearly very knowledgeable & had loads of experience on Japanese cuisines. He even took the time & effort to share some insights on the dishes he served. They also have some great sake promo. The service is pretty basic - the staffs are friendly & attentive but not fine dining standard. So if you want a good Japanese omakase at a great deal, would highly recommend this place. I will definitely be back! 😁

My wife and I went there for my birthday dinner. We made a reservation and ordered the UOB 1 for 1 omakase set. In the days leading up to the dinner, my wife and I joked about going to a jin fine (very fine) restaurant to eat. But unfortunately nothing can be further from the truth. Firstly, there is nothing "fine" about it. Its probably part of the name of the owner because its not a fine dining restaurant at all. We were initially seated in a room but decided to venture out to the counter seats as the room is just the both of us and we like to people watch while we eat. The first dish came in approximately 15 minutes in with the sashmi salad. Pretty standard but nothing you would consider part of a omakase set really. Its similar or worse than something you can get in sushi tei. The best part of the set is the fried eel. Savoury and salty. The fried vegetables have a good crunch to it. What came after were downright terrible. The fish soup was horrid. The soup was bland, the fish was mushy like they had overboiled it. The noodles had an unpleasant texture and also had a really light almost bland taste to them. The duck and dessert dish felt like it was outsourced - the duck is worse than what you can get from a frozen pack you get from MMM, dessert felt store bought. The grilled fish with foie gras had nothing like it inside, my mum could have done the fish better. There is nothing redeeming or outstanding about anything offered in this restaurant unfortunately. I only enjoyed the sushi but it was so little. Near the end of our meal we nearly gagged when we saw cockroaches around the chilled compartment. Needless to say I will not be going back there again.

The chirashi bowl is really good. Not the usual kind of rice that they used, still delicious. The ingredients were fresh and they were fairly generous as well. Also ordered the pasta set lunch, the portion was rather huge. Overall, great lunch location within the CBD area.

This restaurant is located within the Amoy Hotel. We had dinner here on a Sunday evening and the restaurant was pretty full. As we had made a reservation before hand, we were quickly shown to our table. Most of the items on the menu looked delicious and the prices for some items are on the higher side. The service crew were polite and highly efficient in taking our orders, serving our food and refilling our drinks. We ordered the premium Chirashi, Jin Chirashi, Aburi Chirashi, Cod Fish in clear soup Nabemono, soft shell crab tempura and the grilled squid. All dishes tasted great and fresh with the exception of thecod fish Nabemono - the flavor of the soup can be improved as it was pretty tasteless.

So good we had to immediately go back again! Generous portions and very good quality. Tip: if you go at the weekend when this part of town tends to be very quiet you can get 40% discounts, which makes it great value considering the quality, but advisable to book in advance. Enjoy!

Small quaint restaurant tucked in Amoy Hotel. Food was delicious. Portion was adequate. Not quite fine dining but prices are definitely on the higher end.

Food was really fresh and delicious! Love the tuna belly and pork belly especially! Went there on 3 separate occasions for dinner and booked through eatigo for the 40% off. Its advisable to go on monday or tuesdays where there’s less crowd and shorter waiting times. Went there to eat for my birthday on a thursday and it was full house. Had to wait quite a while for the food too!

Food quality was pretty decent but service was bad. The food took really long to come prob ard 20-30 mins? The chirashi was good, everything in that bowl tasted fresh. Sukiyaki was pretty good despite them serving after 40 mins. The only dish I didn't think was good was the grilled squid. Quite rubbery..

My son and I had a fantastic dinner yesterday night here. If I recall, it wasn't out first time, he last took me here for a birthday dinner a year ago. The food is great and the service too! Everything from the sashimi to the soup was good and very fresh, accompanied by very attentive and polite service. The prices were a little on the high side though, but with the 30% Eatigo discounts we had, it made dinner more palatable and affordable:)

Came here for the eatigo 40% discount which made this meal really value for money! The sashimi was thick in slices and extremely fresh. I ordered the iro iro chirashi bowl and another jin chirashi and both were really tasty. One of the best and freshest chirashi bowls I have had so far and portions were generous too! Lots of fish roe and flavourful rice:)

Went here on a Sunday noon, not crowded but we booked in advance via eatigo which offers 40% discount. Every dish we ordered all taste good, including pita dofu, Eel maki, avocado maki , grilled beef etc. Consider valuable after the 40% discount if not, a bit pricy.

The sashimi is very fresh. We also love the aburi salmon salad, the chirashi bowls (the sushi rice is super yummy), the garlic fried rice and all the tofu dishes!! The ala carte cooked dishes are average so we tend to avoid ordering those. We stick to the above and are always very satisfied when we eat here. Very good with Eatigo discount.
