Came here on a rainy Saturday night.. Their frog porridge here is very famous.. You can also find various other Chinese wok dishes here that you normally find in a zhi char store. If you're a Frog Porridge lover, you should know that there's a couple of options right here in geyland. In fact you're able to find one of the best 2 Frog Porridge along this stretch of geyland.. The competition between these 2 frog porridge powerhouse is very intense. I have personally eaten both a couple of times and I can only say the other one is slightly better and priced fairly as compared to g7. Yes, they do have a couple of outlets in various parts of Singapore. You won't go wrong if you chose to eat here or the other famous one down the road. Both are nice but I just feel that if you're on a budget, do go for the other frog porridge store. One thing to note is that the environment and cleanliness of the place is certainly better than the other store.. So do make your choice wisely!

One of my favourite place to enjoy claypot frog legs & porridge in the middle of the night which opens till 3am daily. Besides frog legs and porridge, they have a offer a good variety of zhi cha dishes on their menu for u to order too. Items on the menu are reasonably priced and affordable too. Food standards & quality are well maintained over the years I have been patronising this outlet. Service Staffs here are friendly & attentive too. Will definitely come back again from time to time to satisfy my frog leg cravings and other dishes. 👍👍👍👍👍

This frog porridge restaurant in geylang has delicious food, the frog porridge is hard to beat. A lot of other seafood can be ordered, with varieties of cooking style.

I visited G7 Frog Porridge & Live Seafood with my wife on a rainy day, and the experience left room for improvement which I believe is essential for sharing. Upon arrival, we were informed by the staff that indoor seating was reserved for groups of four or more. Although we were just a duo, we decided to comply and took a seat outdoors. The sheltered outdoor seating, however, didn’t provide adequate protection from the splashing rain and gusty winds, which led to a rather uncomfortable and chilly dining atmosphere. I approached the staff a second time, hoping to move indoors as there were still vacant tables. Yet, I was informed once more that the indoor seating was full—a statement contradicted by the visible empty seats inside. I have attached two photos to this review. One photo depicts the available indoor seating, and the other shows the damp conditions of our outdoor table. I understand that there might be seating policies in place, but a bit of flexibility during adverse weather conditions would significantly enhance the dining experience at G7 Frog Porridge & Live Seafood. I hope my feedback serves as constructive criticism and helps in making necessary adjustments to provide a more comfortable and enjoyable dining environment for all patrons, regardless of their group size. I look forward to visiting again under better circumstances and seeing improved customer accommodation.

We love going there for late night frog porridge. The normal seafood dishes there are comparable to others nearby, but I prefer their style of cooking the Lala compared to the others. Price wise, their frog porridge is priced slightly lower compared to Lor 9, the next nearest available frog porridge. Have not tried the frog porridge at Ah Yat so can’t compare

Food delivered fast. There are always a lot of people here but the place is spacious so you usually don't have to wait even without reservation. Loved their frog porridge. Other dishes such as chicken wings and fried vegetables were also very good. Portion is quite generous.

A very special dish in Singapore. There are many well-known restaurants, specializing in frog porridge. G7 is one of them. We came at Friday night. No queue at all before 8:30 pm. We have 2 people. We ordered 2*(2+1) frog in two flavors, a porridge, a green dragon vegetable, and a taro dessert. We are 100% full. If you are equal or less than 4 people, you will be served at the table besides the road, which is actually chill. I preferred the chili flavor of frog, while my friend who are not that favor spicy food prefers another flavor. So do recommend you try two flavor if you are new to frog porridge. The porridge is nice too. The taro dessert actually surprised me. It’s creamy. Do recommend you to try it. This restaurant will charge gst and service fee. The tissue is also charged.

Always went down to eat for years and first time take away recently. Quite disappointed with the porridge portion they gave. (I think it’s only half of the portion compare to when you dining in, same price) Other dishes like vegetables and bean curd are too salty too! Only the frog acceptable. Definitely wont take away again. If want to eat better drive down and dine in.

Ridiculously small portion of food. 6 pieces of hei zho cost $12, 1 tiny piece for $2?! We can also count the pieces of sweet and sour pork. More expensive than restaurant!

Delicious food! And convenient parking at the nearby carparks (multi storey and open space ground floor). It is also accessible by taking MRT. The marmite pork ribs and frog leg were so tasty. Even the tofu with minced pork was great. The interior is well ventilated with ceiling fans, so it does not feel stuffy at all. Overall a great experience! We will be back.

They specialise in frog dishes, although they do have an extensive menu serving different types of local cuisine. Their frog porridge is a must try. Their serving is rather generous, and the frogs flavourful. However, do note that they are non-air conditioned, so it might get a little hot and stuffy. There are also street sitting that might not be very favourable.

Fast service and yummy food at reasonable pricing. Meat dishes are abit pricey considering their setup is like your usual zhi char. But doesnt matter cause the main star here is the frogs! The frogs are perfectly done and really fresh. Definitely up to their reputation and worth the drive down. Great place to chill and relax and enjoy the frog legs with porridge!

Very good zichar. And food comes really fast. Just not that cheap for the frog leg porridge and crab. So it's a pricier Zichar. Marmite pork ribs is a must try! Quite children friendly but recommend to go earlier to avoid the q on wkends.

Not as good as yesteryears! Or just happened the chef today 11.11.2022 was a part timer! Lala sambal is brownish instead of reddish - no sambal taste. Tofu don’t have that crunchy dried prawns like last time. Kang Kung sambal don’t have sambal taste. Frog is good but not as good as last time where it’s full of spring onion and thicker sauce. Very disappointed!

The food is great but they are quite expensive. Their frog porridge is quite popular. Vegetables are not too oily, and we liked the marmite pork ribs dish. The meat is very tender. Depending on where you sit, some tables are placed to close to the road. There is lots of vehicle traffic, so it's noisy and potentially lots of dust. Service is average.

A well liked spot for Frog Porridge and seafood. Flocked with foreigners. Food was really mediocre. Enjoyed the Cereal Prawn though! Chili Crab tastes normal, nothing wrong!

The dry chilli Gong Bao frog is my all time favourite and if you buy 3, they give you 2 more frogs, all in at $28. The frog and sauce is great and waiting time was ok. Was kinda disappointed with the salted Egg squid, it's the factory processed squid that is tasteless and not something I expect at a seafood restaurant. Factory processed squid dish at $18

Great food. We ordered both chilli crab and frog porridge, the mantou was quite oily. The bill came a bit over our expectation. Total $250 for the dinner. Crowded restaurant, it is expensive probably coz it's famous among tourists.

Nice frog porridge in town. One of the best in SG! One thing to improve is ask them not to cook 5 frogs in a pot, where other shops cook them in 2 pots. Maybe you can ask this shop to cook in 2 pots so you can get more tasty gravy to eat along with your white porridge.

When it comes to geylang, frog porridge is not to be missed. Overall all good with superb service. Price is a bit high but the quality of the foods and services provided is way more than it cost. Very cosy seating and payments can be made through Alipay, wechat pay, paywave and others. Convenient location and good place to meet ups and eat.

Came here alone on a Saturday evening to eat frog porridge. The staff were very friendly and even helped me to push my table inside when it started pouring. I ordered the Dried Chili Frog ($18) and porridge ($3.80). It was so delicious and filling! I could eat another bowl of frog if I could. The meat was very soft and spicy. I ordered another barley drink ($4) to cool down as well. I highly recommend this place!

The food is good, but numerous bugs keep falling from the ceiling, even a half-dead bee. We asked to be moved to a different seat but they rejected.

Definitely a late night comfort food. The store serves more than just frogs but has the typical zhichar dishes. The frog and porridge though is what u will come here for. The frogs come in 2 styles - ginger onion and spicy versions. The porridge is thick congee and the frogs come served in clay pots. Very, very tasty. We ordered a few side dishes. Nothing extraordinary about those. Definitely come here for the frog porridge. Lots of spaces. The have a main area, a smaller area opposite and an upstairs as well. So even if crowded, there would be spaces available and wait time is not too bad.

I recently dined at G7 Frog Porridge and Live Seafood with a group of seven on a Saturday night, and here's my review: Booking a reservation via phone was a bit challenging, but we managed to secure a table without much difficulty. Our group ordered a variety of dishes, including Fried Baby Octopus, Cereal Prawns, Frog Porridge, and Sambal Kang Kong, and overall, the food was quite enjoyable. The standout dishes for us were the Fried Baby Octopus and Cereal Prawns. Both were cooked to perfection with a delightful blend of flavors and textures. The Frog Porridge was a unique experience, and it offered a pleasant change from the usual seafood fare. However, my biggest disappointment was with the Lychee drink I ordered. Despite the higher price tag, it tasted more like syrup than a refreshing beverage, which was a letdown. Given the cost of the drinks, I expected a higher-quality experience. In summary, G7 Frog Porridge and Live Seafood provides a decent dining experience with some delicious dishes, but the beverages could use improvement, especially considering the prices. If you're a seafood lover and willing to overlook the drink options, it's worth a visit for the food alone.

we ordered 1 chillies crab and 1 porridge for 2ppl, and we got so full after that. The crab was just right for us, especially its sauce, feels like it could be matched with anything you eat :)) I personally not into frog dishes but this Frog porridge was nice.

Food was good. The clay pot frog with porridge still doesn’t disappoint. The black pepper crab was surprisingly good too. Very meaty crabs and season with spicy black pepper sauce with just the right thickness. However, policy a little rigid with the corkage charge. Was slightly taken aback when we were told corkage cannot be waived unless spending exceeds $400 (which was difficult as there was only 4 of us). Anyway, it was all good as staff are friendly, responsive and efficient. And we really enjoy the nice food there!

Love their frog 🐸 porridge, it’s very yummy 😋! Other than frog porridge, other dishes also very nice, including baby squid, sweet and sour pork, lala etc. Recommend their Hor Fun, the wok Hei is no joke! Didn’t try their crab this time, it’s yummy too..

Delicious frog porridge! Must try. The rest of the dishes were good. The kind of standard you would expect of a typical Tze Char place. Clams were plump & juicy. Veg dish was yummy. Marmite ribs - a little disappointing. Salted egg squid was decent not great. Overall, a good place. Will come back.

Tried frog porridge in Geylang area and I think the G7 one is my favorite! Also ordered the sweet and sour pork and kangkong, they are so good! I also really like the side dish they serve, sweet guava and anchovies. The combination of sweet and salty somehow enrich the taste of the porridge.

Food taste great, but potion too small for the price plus GST and Service Charge. Frog are so small and not much meat compare to Lor 9. That the reason of buy 3 free 2... After the waiter bring us to the table all the staffs dreaming at the side and nv bring us menu. Moreover is still yet peak.

Ordered frog porridge & 白帆鱼. There is only 1 size offering at $12 for this dish. We were surprise to see the dish at half of the plate. It was so little yet it was charging at the same price as 鼎泰丰。鼎泰丰 offer bigger size than them. Will never go there again.

Went on Sunday night. Luckily there wasn’t a queue and get seats immediately. We ordered a crab (Sri lankan), 2 frogs and toufu.. the chillies crab not spicy enough but crab is meaty. Frog meats are tender. Tofu pretty standard. Overall it’s a good meal for meeting friends.

This is not my first time visiting this place, they serve decent frog leg porridge. Price - reasonable restaurants price, about 20-40 per pax depending what you order. Ambiance - no aircon place, but airy. Good if you manage to sit inside, I was seated by the road side and not exactly good experience. I visited the inside seating too and its ok. Good for big group and families. Food - decent, that's why I came back again. Ordered frog leg and ai Yu jelly is nice taste. Overall good experience and ill come again. Pro tip to come earlier before 7pm to avoid the crowd. If you find this review helpful, do give a thumbs up so that more people can see this comprehensive review. Cheers and stay safe.
