The scallops were so fresh and delicious, I ordered them twice! The food was excellent and the service was brilliant. A special thanks to Jenny and CK for taking great care of us throughout our experience. A definite best for Italian cuisine in Singapore!

We were here for SG restaurant week and had the set lunch menu. Nice ambience, crowded even on a weekday afternoon. Staff was nice and friendly, took care of our table and topped up the water. Choice of appetizer: salmon trout or wild mushroom soup Mains: Mediterranean royal sea bream or Braised beef cheek with fettuccine Dessert: cheese platter or blueberry yoghurt cake. Verdict: I loved the seafood dishes as it was quite fresh. Good choice of salmon and sea bream. As for the beef fettuccine, it wasn’t as nice as expected. Perhaps the braised beef did not have much taste. Lastly, the dessert was alright, it was a mix of fresh blueberry, yoghurt and also blueberry jam. They could keep it simple by having a classic tiramisu instead.

I refuse to believe that this is a Michelin star restaurant. Food was AWFUL. How could you ruin steak? I literally had one bite of the meat and it was rancid just like the lobster we had for starter - I left it untouched. The truffle pasta was the only thing we were able to eat but won’t give it more than 2/5. Service was also below average. Truly disappointed 👎

Went there for our anniversary dinner, overall highly recommend this restaurant. Nice environment (the air conditioning was a bit too cold though). Quality service (had nice conversations with the waiters). Great food (especially surprised by the scallop appetizer and the anniversary chocolate cake).

A very lovely place for dinner date. The angel hair pasta is a MUST try. I shared it with a friend thus it looks a little small but it's amazing, very pricey though at $98. Love their lobster bisque and scallops too. All in all would definitely visit again!

I visited garibaldi with my wife on 12 Feb. We were very excited to try their food as we had heard good reviews at this 1 Michelin star restaurant. After trying their weekend brunch menu (free flow) I was extremely disappointed. It should have been a red flag that this menu is done buffet style (all you can eat) but we went ahead as the waiter highly recommended it and given that we expected the food to have standards given its reputation. The quantity definitely outweighed the quality. The food was sub par especially the fried egg with ham and truffle, Caesar salad, crispy chicken and all the pastas and mains. One of the mains (the salmon) was over cooked and dry in our mouths. I could have found better food at any of the other usual restaurants I patronize. The good quality was that of cafe or bar whose specialty isn’t food. There were only 3 decent dishes, fresh oysters, burrata cheese and beef carpaccio, mind you these are dishes that do not require any cooking, more of assembly of ingredients. Overall I was really shocked at their standards. It felt like torture sitting through the meal. We kept hoping the food would get better but it just got worse. At the end, we felt a bitter taste in our mouths given the amount we paid for the meal (270 in total for 2 pax). We gave our feedback and aside from stating that they would inform the chef nothing else was done. The chef should be ashamed. How can such food be served?! Service was also sub par. The waiter who attended to us kept sniggering to himself when he saw our unfinished food. I write this review to warn people of what to expect if they decide to dine at this place.

Update: Came here for second visit on Jan 2024. Decided to down to 4 stars. Kinda old classic shop, good Italian food, prices are also on the high side (pasta $40-50 to $90, beef $70-100+). In return you get decent quality. Definitely not a daily dining Italian shop. I came with my friend for a celebration. Shop opens up with a bar, and then leads you into two dining area where there were ample space and ambience. Ambience was missing something. However certain sections of the shops felt rather cold and lacking positive vibes. Especially the extended mini room which seats 2 groups of customers. Chef served an interesting pumpkin truffle tart with high tasted good. Warm bread (was not warm in my second visit) was fluffy and tasted perfect when dipped with the olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Starter we ordered was ok. Mushroom soup done right, service was prompt, pastas were tasty, beef steak was done exactly the way I wanted it, not over cooked and not under cooked, tiramisu was a good old recipe. I must also comment that the restaurant made an effort to portion the food for 2 for every ordered item, when they noted we were sharing everything. I thought could be better were the bread sticks offered on the table, they were lacklustre as a tidbit. Maybe it’s just me but I saw most tables did not bother to eat or touch. Also, on my second visit the food were not hot, it was only warm when served. Overall, this restaurant deserves 4 star due to high prices paid, for the quality and consistency which were slightly lacking compared to my first time experience.

Great service and superb food, as you would expect from Garibaldi. The sommelier gave great wine recommendations as well. They only had a small selection of vegetarian options in our 4-course set but it was delicious. Frankly great value for the quality of the food.

Foods and wine are good taste. They gave chocolates as complimentary for us at the ended. The prices compared with food taste are so expensive for me. But may be standard price in SG.

It's SG Restaurant week day 1 and here we are trying the 3 course chef selection @ Garibaldi, an Italian restaurant with numerous awards along Purvis Street. I had the Trota Salmonta which is slow cooked salmon with pickled cucumber and sour cream. Love the lightly sour savoury cucumber which balance nicely with the Salmon. For mains I had the beef cheek fettuccine. Beef was tender and sinfully flavourful, hand made fettuccine was great dish was heavy on the salt but overall great. For desert I had the blueberry yogurt cake with coconut meringue. A beauty and a clever construction to complete a nice lunch experience.

Always a super experience at Garibaldi’s. What a treat with the amazing starter bread that comes out steamy hot, the salad delectable and the mains delicate and delicious. Fun to order different dishes so you can have a taste of all the starters, mains and desserts.

Everything we ordered was really tasty (burrata ravioli, spaghetti vodka, cod with scallops, tiramisu, chocolate mousse tart, pistachio and rum and raisin ice cream) only note that the mains’ portions are quite tiny. Service was fantastic and waitstaff were very attentive and great with recommendations. We didn’t order a wine but they have an amazing selection of award winning wines. Went through chope vouchers and got a pretty good deal for the fantastic meal.

Had the scallops as a starter, lobster for the main and chocolate tart for dessert. Generous portions, though for the price am not sure will return? Staff were flexible to swap my truffle scallops for tomatoes - massive scallops and quite fresh. Lobster was a decent portion with yummy cheese. Sides were forgettable. Chocolate tart was sufficiently dark and a good kind of ooze-y. Coffee was disappointing though - seemed like a very diluted nespresso type blend? Oh the bread was absolutely fantastic! Quite easily the highlight of the meal.

We went as a large group for lunch and as expected, the service was a little slow. It is really no fault of the management. The starter was mushroom croquettes with truffle cream. The truffle smell and taste were just right. The soup of the day came piping hot which was good. So many restaurants served their soup that was not hot enough. The poached egg with Alba white truffle reminded me of how good eggs should be made. The turned pasta with crispy Parma ham was excellent, so was the Patagonian cod. Excellent place to dine in but be prepared for the price.

Excellent experience! Went there on a weekend at brunch time, but we didn't have the free-flow brunch. Ended up having the a la carte selection because the menu descriptions looked good! True enough, the food was delicious. Tried the famed angel hair pasta, which was good, though perhaps with all the hype on these reviews, I expected a little more (and I don't just mean in terms of small portion size!). Special mention for the burrata and gnocchi, loved those. Service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was very inviting. I will probably try to go back to enjoy the brunch with some drinks, too, next time!

Garibaldi never fails to impress - one of my favourite Italian restaurants in Singapore. Had the Monthly Seasonal Menu for dinner this time and it was excellent. The scallops and lobster soup were excellent, the truffle pasta with pork was amazing - pasta was executed so well. I was enjoying meal so forgot to take photos of all courses.

Hubby and I went there to pre-celebrate our wedding anniversary given the great reviews of the restaurant. We ordered the Wagyu salad, linguine with crab, alio oglio with prawns, blueberry yogurt cake and 2 drinks. There was complimentary fried salmon ball that was also tantalising. The food is prepared to delight as the ingredients are fresh and the flavors are distinct. Definitely a place that I would like to return again for more.

One of my favorite fine restaurant in Singapore. Their signature dish COLD ANGEL HAIR WITH FRESH OYSTERS & CARELIAN CAVIAR is outstanding. I also love the quite and simple atmosphere. Staffs are nice and friendly. Reason I put 4 starts is, as I know this restaurant can do much better for other dish like they do for my favorite dish the cold angel hair. I think I can say the booking is not so hard if you book at least a week before.

Went for SG Restaurant Week. Weakest point for me has to be the service. Feels like eating at a neighbourhood cafe with the lack of attention and care from staff. Food is very hit or miss. We love the scallops starter, but my burrata dish was very bland. The lobster pasta main was amazing, while the beef was disappointingly dry. We both had the blueberry yogurt dessert and it was alright. Overall wouldn’t come again.

Joined my friend for the SG restaurant week lunch offer this afternoon. To be honest, the foods were just not to our liking and nothing impressive. The worst part was the fruits cheese dessert that was so hard and extremely salty like eating a salt cube.

Had a good time at Garibaldi's. Food was good and staff was attentive. The highlight was their Truffled Pasta; the aroma from the shavings of Alba truffle really filled the air. The starters were good, the venison tartare was very well balanced. Tiramisu did not disappoint as well.

I often visit Gustavo Lapasta for their amazing pastas and top notch service. I can proudly say it’s the best pasta place in Singapore. Found out that they had affiliations with Garibaldi and decided to visit the creators of Gustavo Lapasta. Everything we ordered exceeded our expectations and we were really impressed. Skip the roasted potatoes cause it was quite underwhelming. But what really affected my experience at Garibaldi was unfortunately the service. For an award winning restaurant, I expected a certain level of service since Gustavo Lapasta had such great service. It was so hard calling the attention of staff, felt like staff didn’t want to be here serving and just felt it ruined the overall experience. Would I come back? Maybe not since I can get great pasta and service at a fraction of the price at Gustavo Lapasta.

What a wonderful culinary experience. My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary. We took the brunch menu and it didn't disappoint. Every dish was exquisite, tasty and well dressed and ornate. The Rose wine and Prosecco all of extremely great quality. As for the service , beyond our expectations. Whatever we needed they provided. It costs pretty reasonable for a Michelin italian restaurant and we would for sure return again. Oh by the way, the bar is well stocked 👍😊👍👍👍😊

After seeing the raving reviews, decided to check out this place for a celebration. Took a 5 course meal, and I must say that I’ve enjoyed my courses. Requested to switch out an anti-pasti to a preferred choice of Angel hair cold pasta because I was so torn. Chef and crew was able to make it happen and I was overjoyed! Thankful for a pleasant experience. Pretty impressed by the venison loin, it was so tender and wonderful to eat. Bafun uni was also very fresh. Will definitely return to try out other dishes on the menu.

Helluva good food and service. Wine pairing with 6-course was very good, and wine was perfectly matched with the dish. Winners were scallops and iberico pork. At this rate, have to nitpick since perfection is expected. Didn't like how branzino was not as flaky as expected and had same broth as scallops. Still, have to give it go them for serving exquisite ingredients and making it sublime.

Shout out to Siti. We had the pleasure to be served by her, and she made our dinner an enjoyable one. We did not indicate any birthday celebrations but she was attentive enough to hear our conversations and sent us a birthday dessert! All the dishes and drinks were delicious. Had a good dinner and wine here on a week day night with some work relations. For me, the ambience was okay, good variety of wine, but the main highlight here is the taste of the food. Had to try the burrata as it came highly recommended by my boss, even though I usually stay away from dairy products due to lactose intollerant. Glad to have tried it. Splendid mix of cheese flavor, not too overpowering... best of all, miraculously managed to skip the nasty effects of lactose afterwards. Also tried the veal with bone marrow, and it was goood

Had the Michelin Menu set over lunch on a weekday. We made reservation but the place doesn’t seem crowded. The staff is professional and nice - he ran through the menu with us and patiently explained each dish being served. Food is delicious and filling. Love the long noodles with boston lobster! There’s generous amount of meat. Definitely worth coming for a business meal or a date :)

Exceptionally good service rendered and the waiter takes time to explain the menu in detail prior to ordering. He was also flexible enough for us to change the dessert to other options apart from those in the standard signature menu. Very good portions. The tea at the end also came with cookies.

We had the 4-course meal and they are very generous with the portion. The service can be improved as they can be more attentive as they almost pour wrong wine pairing for my last dessert. And it took them quite long to get us the bill but overall the food and ambience are worth to recommend and go again.

3.5 stars. Service was really good, server accomodated our dining requests and were really attentive. I really liked the ambience of the restaurant too, it felt really cozy and comfortable. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about the food. Ordered the Michelin menu and none of the dishes stood out to me. The presentation of the food was also not the most aesthetically-pleasing.

  • 5/5 Mathew C. 2 years ago on Google
Good thing we like truffle because the chef is obsessed with it. Very pretty dishes. Very friendly service staff who at one stage didn’t want to give me my dish because a leaf had fallen off. How’s that for ridiculously high standards?

My husband and I went to Garibaldi to celebrate my birthday and we truly enjoyed the experience and the food. Food was great. My favourite was their endless serving of bread and the crab meat pasta. The staff attentive and warm. I’ll come back for the shaved truffle pasta the next time around.

Exquisite food, great service - very attentive and friendly staff; and extensive list of wine. However, wished the wine sommelier came to us at the beginning to recommend us the wine rather than us having to choose one ourselves. He came out later to do the pouring and decanting, but was absent at the more important part which was when we were choosing drinks. Apart from that, highly recommend. Ambience is great. Worth a visit

Celebrated our wedding anniversary with their signature menu (108++/pax) and an extra ala carte order of seafood risotto in lobster consommé. Like most of the reviews, the angel hair pasta stood out and i would return just for that. Another outstanding dish was the seafood risotto. Not a fan of the sabayon dessert (weird) and burrata ravioli was too light, would've preferred a richer sauce and truffle flavor. Grilled cod was decent - loved the caramelized onion and veg on the side. Everything else was Ok! Service was attentive and friendly. 👍

Great location and ambience. Very good service. Tried their Michelin meal but unfortunately found a plastic curly thing in my soup. Also found a long strand of brown hair underneath our cake. Didn't say anything as we didn't want to make a scene and we were celebrating something.

Enjoyed myself here thoroughly! Service was excellent - attentive, and I got the counter seats which were actually private and nice in a way itself too. We mentioned that it was for sharing (2 pax) and they split the food up nicely for us, presentation was 10/10, and taste was 10/10 too! Had the US oyster which was well balanced, the cold angel hair pasta with snow crab, bafun uni, and caviar (I could finish this whole plate myself), a seafood risotto (prawns were so nice!), seared scallops, and had gelato to share after. We were offered bread at the start and chocolate truffles at the end - thank you! Was so full and happy. P.S. if you can’t find parking at Purvis, try raffles hotel. Not cheap, but less frustrating than waiting!

Loved the Italian pasta from Garibaldi, been to this restaurant for past few years especially the white truffle season dish are not to be missed. My highlights dish are Poached Toretama Egg with Purple Potato Crisps & Alba White Truffle, Charcoal Thin Noodles with Spanner Crab Meat, Broccolini & Bottarga and Pineapple Cake with Yoghurt & Lime. Excellent service and top notch restaurant and we'll deserved one Michelin star restaurant.

We had the signature menu for $108 per pax we got to enjoy 3 courses . The burrata was refreshing with sweet tomatoes . For Mains you can select from seafood risotto , braised pork pasta, pan grilled sea bass and mushroom pasta . I tried the braised pork pasta , order it if you like strong flavour , pork was very tender . Garibaldi consistently performed across all dishes .

Highly recommend Garibaldi ⭐️ very authentic Italian taste! Attentive service. Would love to visit again! 1) For a start we were served bread with olive oil. The bread is crisp with light savoury taste. 2) We were offered bite size cured salmon bruschetta which my friend commented really good. A pleasant surprise that they exchanged to tomato cheese with balsamic vinegar for me, tasted good. 3) Neapolitan Style Baked Eggplant is good with distinct herb touch. 4) Beef Cheek Pasta is from seasonal menu, not found on website. Pasta is perfect al dente and Beef Cheek comes with generous portion. 5) Seafood Risotto is my favourite in flavourful Lobster Consommé. The seafood like fish, squid and prawn is not fishy. Also to mention the rice texture is perfect al dente too.

Great service, amazing food. Lots of vegetarian options. Gnocchi and Tiramisu are a must try. One of the best Italian food in Singapore for sure!
