I
recently
visited
this
Mexican
restaurant
in
Singapore,
enticed
by
my
girlfriend's
recommendation.
Being
Mexican
and
hailing
from
Southern
California,
an
area
renowned
for
its
authentic
and
flavorful
Mexican
cuisine,
my
expectations
were
naturally
high.
Unfortunately,
my
experience
was
underwhelming
and
frustrating.
Firstly,
the
shredded
beef
taco,
a
staple
in
Mexican
cuisine,
was
a
letdown.
The
beef
was
bland,
lacking
any
hint
of
the
essential
seasonings
or
marinades
that
are
characteristic
of
Mexican
beef
preparations.
This
was
quite
a
shock,
as
I've
never
encountered
such
flavorless
beef
in
any
Mexican
dish
before.
Moreover,
a
significant
error
was
made
with
my
order.
I
specifically
requested
soft
corn
tortillas,
a
basic
yet
crucial
element
in
authentic
Mexican
tacos.
However,
I
was
served
tacos
with
hard
shells.
When
I
pointed
out
this
mistake,
the
staff
member
argued
that
he
had
confirmed
with
me
that
I
wanted
hard-shell
tacos.
This
was
not
only
incorrect
but
also
puzzling,
as
I
have
a
distinct
preference
for
soft
corn
tortillas,
a
detail
my
girlfriend
can
attest
to
as
she
was
present
and
heard
my
order.
What
compounded
the
issue
was
the
staff
member's
attitude.
Instead
of
acknowledging
the
mistake
and
offering
to
correct
it,
he
was
dismissive
and
walked
away
without
an
apology.
This
lack
of
basic
customer
service
and
unwillingness
to
rectify
a
clear
error
was
disappointing
and,
frankly,
rude.
Overall,
my
visit
to
this
restaurant
was
far
from
the
authentic
Mexican
culinary
experience
I
had
hoped
for.
The
food
lacked
the
fundamental
flavors
of
Mexican
cuisine,
and
the
service
was
unsatisfactory.
It's
disheartening
to
see
such
a
representation
of
Mexican
food,
especially
in
a
cosmopolitan
city
like
Singapore
where
culinary
standards
are
generally
high.
I
would
not
recommend
this
restaurant
to
anyone
seeking
a
genuine
taste
of
Mexico,
and
I
hope
they
take
this
feedback
seriously
to
improve
both
their
food
and
customer
service.
