I laugh at the comments about this place berating the service and quality. Guys, this is a prata shop that’s cheap and cheerful and it’s not a Michelin star establishment. The delay, the noise is expected. I like this place cos it’s opened till late; just opposite the train station; no noise restrictions; fills your stomach; affordable. I like the grease on the floor; the oil table; the torn menus; the delayed orders - all these so that we can focus on our conversations and chat longer with our friends.

Came here to eat because of nostalgia. The great thing is that the prices are reasonable and the food is good. The only downside I will say is that there are definitely better prata places out there but hey, this is still not too bad. Oh and the Teh Chino that I ordered was a little diluted. I'll definitely come back here again.

Always a decent experience at prata house. For those that prefer the fluffier prata that is not fried to the core, this might not be the place for you. For those who prefer the crispier variation, this is one of those classic places that always does it well. Personal favourites, kosong is always a must order. Cheese egg is also pretty darn good. Family favourite is always the best hoon goreng that is always a hit of masala spices

It's fluffy, it's crispy, and the fish curry gravy is thick, tangy and spicy. I mean if it's gonna be my last meal, it'll be a great way to go! But it's oily, and even as I break it up with my fork and spoon, the plate starts to get all streaky and shiny! I'd say it's the most unhealthy, sinfully good food you can find, and at this reasonable price, indulge once in awhile, but not everyday:)

Popular prata place beside upper thomson mrt. Ordered bomb, plain and egg prata. Plain is crispy, but slightly lacking in terms of "filling". Egg prata on the other hand was my favorite. I like that it "fills" your mouth. Not like the plain prata. Sauce was great, not too spicy and no lingering after taste. Bomb was alright. Egg prata was my favorite. Would come back for the Egg prata. #eggprataftw

I had the Egg prata which was probably done beforehand so it was not hot when served. The plain one I had ordered was better. The Teh Halia here was great though, love the ginger taste which was not too "spicy". Had requested for a less sweet version and it was just nice. Had a few bites of my friend banana prata as well and wow it was good too.

Finally! Consistently crispy Roti prata! So hard to find prata with a crunch and curry with a big taste. The Roti Prata House has both. This is my go-to prata place anytime of day and night. The egg onion prata has a nice flavor. The banana prata has the sweet deliciousness. Set your diet to the side to fully enjoy these treats!

Fantastic crispy prata. Whether kosong, egg onion, or with cheese, all the pratas were crispy. The paper prata was exceptional without saying. We had the fried chicken too and it was crispy outside and tender inside - that's just awesome! The pratas were not oily although crispy. I had teh halia (ginger), and it was good. The staff were friendly, and the place cooling (not stuffy). I'll come back again for prata anytime!

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝘁𝗶 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲 takeaway their plain prata , mushroom and cheese prata , prata bomb and teh tarik 😋 Their plain prata is so crispy ,delicious and eat it with their curry is the best 👍😊 The prata bomb just abit sweet, but eat with curry is just right. My favourite is their mushroom and cheese prata , the flavour blend very well 🥰🤤Prata thickness is not too thin at all. When eat it is fluffy and nice that able to absorb the curry in it. Queue for an hour to have their prata 😂the place is easy to find , just next to the upper thomson mrt . Worth the wait to try it 👍👍 📍246  Upper Thomson Rd Singapore 574370 Opening Hours: 7am – 2am (Sun to Thu), 7am – 4am (Fri & Sat)

Authentic food, malaysian mamak feel. Roti boom was really shiok! Everything was on point, the curry, prata texture, softness and crisps. 💪 price range at $46 for 4 pax. (Missing 3 more main dish in picture) So full and worth it.

Been visiting this restaurant for almost a decade. The food quality is consistent. Always enjoyed their crispy prata. Curry is also not too salty. The service is also very good. The staff walking past saw me finishing my curry and he asked whether I would like another serving of curry. Just remember not to sit at the tables on the slope. Everything will be slanted to the side and might even spill by accident. Will visit again as I’ve been doing for the last decade. Might visit even more often after the construction of the TEL.

Super popular supper joint. Very hard to find parking. I tried their coin prata before and i didn't like it. I find it too thick. Ordered fried bee hoon and maggie mee. Nice.

Range of prata choices is crazy and they'll make special orders for you, like the chilli, cheese onion prata I ordered (we ended up ordering another one since it was so good). Maggi goreng can be hit or miss, when it's good it's really good . Crowded but rarely too crowded. Takes cash and nets only no credit card, as is normally the case for prata joints like this. I think the service here could be underrated. It's not out-of-this-world fine dining service - this is a prata joint after all - but it's generally good and it's obvious that they care about service, from the manager to the cooking staff.

It's almost been a decade since I last ate at Roti Prata House. Came here for lunch after kayaking at Macritchie recently and I ordered the mutton briyani and an egg prata. I thought the briyani was rather generous with the mutton and it could be a little too spicy for some people. The egg prata was what you would expect of an egg prata.

Waited quite a while though not crowded. The plain prata with fish curry was the best. The plain prata was $1 but smaller than usual size at other places. Not crispy as claimed

Very authentic prata place which reminds me of sitting on a roadside in Malaysia eating roti canai mamak. The charms come from the normal "an-ne" forgetting your order, remind them, and still sending wrong items to your table. I love the chaos in a near perfect Singapore. Love the curry, love the roti... love the chaos. Pls don't be in a hurry Is u wanna dine in here! Just enjoy the chaos when full house.

Prata was crispy or hard due to customer flow. Thus it all depend on your luck. Service is quick. Mutton briyani rice was expensive as only a few piece meat & small plate of rice as compare with other similar shop.

Out of the two, Sin Ming Faizal Aziz and them. They are better hands down. Firstly, service always the best. There are loads of people like me gorging at the marvellous menu taking our time to decide, and service staff forever will be patient wait intently and write your order. Their sausage prata will not be miserable and stingy like Sin Ming Aziz & Faisal, so much more ingredients given, bigger and more value for money. The only issue is cleanliness and curry. Is mung dhal curry, thats the only thing they lost out. People kept praising the other because of the curry, i am now a regular fan making 25mins trip up there every 2 weeks. Thank you and hope you keep up the standards.

Quintessential prata house. Fast, inexpensive, tasty, fun, spicy, roadside or inside, faded photos of food, sit down they take your order, no beer, mega menu, large sounds of people cooking, serving, eating, laughing, talking, OH the wafting wonderful aromas, plastic chairs and plastic tables kept clean by a multitude of staff... I have been multiple times and I will go again!

One of the good old prata place that’s been around for years. The Prata here is crispy and hard almost akin to biscuit, the meat and curry are all nice. Not bad but prefer the softer fluffier type of prata. Tissue prata is ok abit too sweeten. Great place to hang out and chit chat with friends here in the morning or late at night.

Curry quality has gone down. Prata is consistent. Still a good place to chill and meet friends at, but don’t expect the best prata or cleanest environment. Open late so you always know where to go for late night Prata cravings :)

First time eating here, the prata not too oily hence it might lose a bit of crispness which i personally like. The fish and chicken curry is spicy, curry chicken got cinnamon taste in it if am not wrong, quite unique, chicken is tender to split easily. Service was fast as well even though is 85-90% full. Taste is subjective, so don’t take my words fully, worth the try for sure.

Taste-wise, the curry was very okay, not mindblowingly delicious or anything. But the prata was freshly fried and crispy. We also had the roti john just for the sake of trying it. My tip: get only the prata here and nothing else. It was a bit tricky to interpret the people’s expression if they understood what I want, but I suppose it was part of the experience ;) very cheap place, worth to visit

Nice atmosphere, Plenty of people eating so do expect a delay. Biryani is not the best, strongly suggest to try their prata and drinks. Easy comfort food with hardworking staff working round the clock. What more you can ask for.

Prata wasn't as crispy as I remembered them to be. But very happy with the tissue and bomb pratas. Very crispy and delicious. A must try for anyone 👍 Mutton murtabak would have been perfect, with more onions added. Best if the service staff, wear their masks fully, instead of pulling them under the chin.

I recently tried The Roti Prata House, and I must say, it’s not a bad place for prata enthusiasts. If you’re a fan of crispy prata, this is definitely a spot to check out. They have a very unique way of making prata that adds to the experience. Overall, I found it to be a decent place to satisfy your prata cravings.

The plain prata is among the best in town. Worth coming just for that. Mutton soup is not bad as well. Busy but Clean at any time of the day

One of my fav prata place to go to for supper. Prata has slightly crispy outer skin for a decent crunch. Especially the Egg prata has a both meaty layer and the crispy layer on the outside for those who enjoy a mix of soft and crispy texture. Maggie goreng has a pretty decent portion and taste was slightly on the spicier side which worked for me. Prices here are very affordable for delicious pratas. Service is also fast to serve and waiting time is very short to get seats. Overall, doggo approved hojiak

A great supper hunt within Singapore along a stretch of other delicacies to fill your tummy. They open 24 hours and on public holidays as well. Operated by a family who has been there for decades. Trust the long tradition and also the quality of food. Hygiene standards used to be a concern for me to be honest but they have since upgraded and refurbished some areas of the restaurant. Still alot to improve on there but guess it works for now. The crispy prata will be their highlight, coupled with chicken curry sauce which is flavorful and aromatic. It’s not too thick and spicy, which suits my palette. The maggi goreng is a menu highlight for me as well. Prices did increase over the years slightly but the owners have largely kept it very reasonable. Parallel parking is available but very limited lots. Upper Thomson mrt is now just 1min away so its really convenient too. If it’s during supper time, try the parallel parking opposite the road. Bus services also available - just right in front of the shopfront. Amazing location overall. There’s still strong competition from Casuarina down the road but will leave you to decide which is superior :)

The nasi goreng with masala sotong was so spicy that I gave up eating after a while. Wished it came with a spicy warning on the menu. But at least the prata was nice and somewhat made up for it (both the mushroom cheese and plain versions were quite good albeit oily).

Note to self: 15.7.23 Crispy prata - soaked with oil, seems like deep fried, and totally not crispy Butter prata - better (thanks to butter) but still oily

Plain prata was very crispy and nice, and the curry gravy was thick and delicious. The best prata I have tasted in SG. Also ordered a plate of Char Kway Teow, it was fried with shrimp, portion was very generous and tasty. Staff were very helpful and friendly, if you never been to here before, here is the tip for you, waiter will come to your table and take your order. Just don’t be shy to raise up your armpit. Very convenient place as it just right in front of mrt station.

Next to Upper Thomson Stn. Tried the Egg Prata is tasty. The Mee Goreng is tasty but is spicy so cannot finished. Overall service and taste wise is good.

Really tasty prata and curry. We had egg prata, plain and iced milo. Really shiok, the prata is crispy, chicken curry is tasty, and most importantly priced well. $10 for 2pax nowadays hard to find. The only drawback is probably lack of parking space.

  • 5/5 Cheeky B. 2 years ago on Google
For those who love their Pratas to be crispy, this is the place for you. It has been a personal favourite of mine. The curry for the Prata is thick and delicious too, just like how i love my women.

Morning 9 plus wkday.. Waiting time is very long, 20min at least for 2 cheese 1 egg.. The prata is so small that my kid could finish it in 6 mouths! Ordered an egg prata but they gave me plain. When i told them my order was wrong, they just simply ask u wan egg isit? Wft i ordered egg of cos. Forget it. ! Tell them nvm no need egg.. Then person intend to walk off without amending my order slip.. got to stop him n tell him amend.. Pricing too expensive too. cheese in the prata is like a quarter size of other standard cheese..

Terrible experience from start to end. Spoilt our breakfast. Unfriendly and grumpy stuff who got our orders wrong and we only felt something was amiss after paying and was on the way home. We ordered 3 egg prata but they wrote our order down as cheese egg and was charged cheese egg. On top of that, came home and realised our $3.5 prata bomb was not packed. Called them up to verify and confirmed they did not pack. No apology no nothing, just a "uncle forget to pack". Told them it's okay, just paylah or paynow me the cost of the prata and I can let it slide. The gentleman over the phone hung up on me lol. Tilt..

Best Bee Hoon Goreng I have had! It's crowded most of the time! Prata is tasty but not as crispy as people commented in the reviews. MILO DINOSAUR is good!

  • 4/5 Bernie C. 2 years ago on Google
My go to place for crispy plain prata and roti tissue. Was so hungry that I forgot to snap a pic of my prata. I would always request for fish curry. First time trying the maggi goreng sotong masala. Tasted pretty decent (at least it’s not red in colour), but there’s too few sotong for $7 a plate.
