We stayed in this hotel during a transit flight. We actually look for a hotel close to the airport but could not find the one. But we are pleasantly surprised to find that this hotel had a long history. It was also very artistic with great reference to a movie Two for the Roads (1967). The room is pleasant and facility is well maintained. It is also well situated with a minimarket and restaurants nearby.

Well, where do I begin. The following review is based on my basic expectations of what a supposedly 4-star hotel should have, especially one that costs over 300SGD per night. Our experience at this hotel began with an extremely unpleasant interaction with the receptionist. It was the most unhelpful, unnecessarily stressful, un-informative check-in process we’ve ever experienced. No mention about any usual amenities like breakfast, checkout times, the pool hours and she seemed to want to be anywhere but helping us at that moment. Speaking of the pool, I took a look outside as I pondered a quick dip and to my surprise, the pool was missing one key ingredient: water. Apparently they empty it every Monday to clean it. Maybe I missed some key life fact but I have never seen a hotel empty an entire swimming pool to clean it. Should I be concerned? Why is the rest of the world not emptying their pools once a week? Probably because that’s super wasteful. Greta Thunberg would not be pleased. I digress- the experience continues spiraling down the drain as we enter the room itself. The room is outdated, and worse even, dirty. Mold in the shower, dirty carpets and windows, and one very odd addition which made me rather uncomfortable. There is a small note which is essentially a religious blessing to the room’s inhabitant. I’m all for religious freedom but really? Are hotel rooms where people of many different walks of life pass through really an appropriate place to include a religious blessing card? Maybe I’m alone in this view but… no it’s definitely weird. The only positives I can think of are the location and one nice concierge man greeting you with a smile. Point is, avoid this hotel if you care about the value you receive for your money and go spend it elsewhere.

The room looked decent but lacked all the basic facilities you’d expect from a 4 star hotel. There was no kettle, tea cups or any sort of complimentary instant coffees or teas. They completely forgot to provide us bath towels for our 3rd day stay. I had to ask for it twice. Overall I’d say this hotel won’t give you value for your money. Better book your stay elsewhere.

The rooms are nice, but in the shower (room 1111) it’s a bit dirty so I had to get points off, even when I booked a suite, it is still pretty small… I still like the fact that they made the room like a quiet place. The service is kind and check in was easier, for the other people who put bad reviews, there is actually mould, BUT it is NOT in the room so it is somewhat clean. But I also like that they have a seven eleven, hotpot place, etc. it’s super easy to get to places since there is a MRT nearby. So I recommend you coming to this hotel.

The hotel doesn't live up to the standard of a four-star hotel. The location is the only good thing about this hotel. However, the hotel staff damaged our luggage but failed to inform us. Only when we reported the damage, then they checked the CCTV footage and admitted that it was indeed their fault, but they still didn't tell us. The hotel interior and exterior were full of mold and the strong smell of disinfectant. Even though the website says that check-in is after 2 pm, we arrived just after 2 pm, and we were told the room wasn't prepared yet, and we had to wait for an additional half an hour. The room's cleanliness was unacceptable: the towels had visible stains and the housekeeper carelessly placed them on our luggage. We stayed in a twin bed room with tiny beds, which we have never seen in a hotel before. The carpet in the room was filthy, and the hotel's decor and design were old-fashioned and reminiscent of the 1990s.

Best thing about this hotel is its location. Stayed here in 2013 then again April 2023. Seems like they were affected by the pandemic, although service was great, the hallways and rooms needs some improvement as they looked old and tired already. Cleanliness inside the room was not that great, saw some rubbish under the bed. Staff were very helpful and accomodating thats why I would give it another try. Bus station is just in front, and walkable to a lot of places.

The only word that comes to mind is mould. It’s everywhere and the smell is overpowering. The staff were kind enough to give us an air purifier but we left after 3 days. It’s great in so many areas but the age has caught up and it simply smells.

we stayed here last june and all i can say is the service was superb! we were warmly welcomed by the people at the lobby - especially Dean and Elijah. the rooms are clean, well-maintained, and just overall comfortable. The rendezvous club food IS THE BEEEEST, thanks to Mark and Maybelle as well as the other Pinoy staff in the kitchen. <33 I will definitely rebook when I visit SG again!!! thank u :)

No blanket provided, just quilt cover provided as blanket? Pillow are feeble, feel like it was used over 10 years! Terrible Wifi connection, the network keeps dropping! Dust can be seen at corner of the floor carpet! Meals provided quite decent, just a bit dry!

Location is superb ... Orchard, Chinatown is just minutes away. Bencoolen MRT is just right beside the property so how convenient it is. Left hotel in the morning and back late afternoon but was surprised my minibar was not refilled as my room rate was daily refill once and my coffee cup was not washed. If this is supposed to be a 4 star hotel, this is not acceptable. Amenities were fine and breakfast was acceptable.

Nice Lobby! Nice art decoration! Nice location, 5 mins walk from the national museum. The room was ok! Love the amenities! But the view from my room sucks. I can see swimming pool but the wall of the opposite building is dirty. The bar and the water supply in the room is good! Room service was good for me! Staff at counter was a bit annoyed when I asked for more amenities kits as I forgot my cotton makeup remover pad The breakfast buffet of my first day was cold. I think we saw a staff forgot to turn on the heater stove. The next days are better. Good point: Menu changed everyday of the buffet. Love the fact they have TWG tea bag at breakfast.

Stayed at this lovely property during our first trip to Singapore recently. The location is simply amazing - just a few steps from the MRT (or metro/tube) station with great Bus connectivity too. The rooms were clean, spacious enough, and quiet. Staff was friendly, helpful, cheerful & professional in their dealing. Has a swimming pool & a decent gym too. Plenty of restaurants/food joints available in the vicinity in case one does not want to dine in at the hotel restaurant (which was great). A 7-Eleven is in the location itself in case you have requirements of some daily use items. Overall, a great property to stay at.

We normally don’t leave bad reviews, but we did not enjoy our stay at this hotel. The rooms are very humid and musty. Our in-laws room smelled so bad, they had to switch rooms. There’s mold at the top of the showers. They also go as cheap as possible and say they’re being “environmentally friendly”, such as they don’t provide you any wash cloths or water bottles. They provide you a glass pitcher and tell you to drink tap water. They only provide a cheap shampoo and body wash, not hair conditioner. Also they lock the hotel lobby bathrooms from a certain time, because they have a bar and want people from the bar to use the outdoor public restrooms, which means they are unavailable to guests in the morning. We’re checking out at 5:30am and the front desk wouldn’t unlock the restrooms for me, at 7 months pregnant, and made me use the outside public restrooms which were filthy and had zero toilet paper. We will not recommend this hotel or stay here again.

Stayed here back in April, it was my first visit to Singapore and this hotel played a huge role in ensuring that my trip was worth every penny. Location is ideal, rooms are comfy and well maintained, the breakfast is decent, and the ambiance is quite peaceful. Recommended!

Moldy, smelly rooms. The windows to the pool area have green mold on outside. They don’t open so you’re stuck w moist air. Made me sick!! Hotel has no restaurant! Breakfast “catered” is overpriced and underkept. The whole hotel is understaffed and dirty and moldy! Not a 4-star hotel for sure. Maybe 2- 3 max. The facade is all there is. It’s old and has not been renovated for years. There’s mold on walls in pool area. There are NO rooms with twin beds ..they are all single beds ! Furniture belongs to the 1980’s.

This hotel has spacious room compare with other hotel in Singapore. Next to Bencoolen MRT station so easy for transportation, we don't use breakfast in the hotel, there is a food court nearby.

Staying 3nights here for a biz trip. Nothing to complain about, everything is perfect! I definitely love how attentive the reception staff was. Feel so welcomed!

Was pleasantly surprised how good this hotel is. Rooms were a decent size and decor was pleasant. Staff couldn't be more helpful, and the club facilities were a welcome addition after a long day. I would suggest an improvement on the breakfast in the club room, but this is a very minor criticism. Will be my hotel of choice on return visits to Singapore

we stayed in the Rendezvous for 3 nights at the start of our trip from Singapore up the Malaysia to Penang. With Singapore being such a bright and vibrant city the Rendezvous is a bit of a let down. Its very tired and the decor is very dated. The room was comfy enough especially after 13 hour flight. The staff on reception where friendly and helpful. The bar service leaves a lot to be desired especially as closes at 8pm!! Now breakfast what can i say, this has to be one of the worst breakfasts i have ever had and every day it was the same tepid fair. The Rendezvous is supposed to be a 4 star hotel, i do think it should give at least 2 back. I would not use again and unfortunately i would not recommend it either. They seriously need to invest some money in this hotel.

Heritage hotel at good location within walking distances of 3 MRT lines. Newly renovated rooms of good size for stay or work. Good amenities expected of a good hotel, including electric washer toilet seats with warmer function.

Not new hotel, a bit old actually but the room is over my expectation. With 130$ per night, you will have big room, 2 smart TVs, big bathroom with bathtub. Staffs are very nice! The location is the best, 1 min walk to bus station and MRT.

We stayed at Rendezvous a couple of weeks ago in one of their Club Rooms and what a lovely experience it was! The hotel's art heritage is a nice touch. Our room was clean, super comfortable bed/pillows, and the service from staff is fantastic. The location of this hotel is PRIME in the central city with Bencoolen MRT station literally right on the doorstep and Bras Basah station just down the road. It made travelling via train incredibly easy and convenient. The continental breakfast food range wasn't huge, but there was enough of a range of pastries, hot foods, cereals, bread and fruit to keep us more than happy during our stay. The only small blip in our stay was the laundry service. The clothes we sent away for cleaning did not come back smelling particularly clean and the oil stain on my pair of pants remained even after washing. But all in all, a wonderful stay!

The most helpful, friendly staff you could meet. Angie in dining area was outstanding; the concierge gentlemen were extremely good with advice and assistance. Highly recommend this place and will return.

Good central location in the city Hall neighbourhood. Walking distances to attractions and eating places. Excellent services from hotel staff. Polite and attentive. Room size is average. Walls are thin as screaming kids could be heard from time to time.

Outdated rooms with average maintenance, falls short of a 4-star hotel. Dryer was broken, fridge not functional, ants and drain gnats on day 0. The hotel service was poor initially, and despite that, they enacted new policies over the course of my stay with them which made it worse. This was my worst quarantine stay of all in Singapore.

  • 1/5 Eris L. 2 years ago on Google
Assign to this hotel as it is SHN dedicated facility for quarantine. No blanket provided, reason was that some customer are allergic to it. Only quilt cover was provided and also only 2 pillow. Everything in the room provided is to the bare minimum. Room is also not clean with mouldy smell. Dust and mould can be seen clearly in the photo. Food provided is of the extreme minimum standard. Aircon thermostat is also not working. Set to 30°C but the room still feel like 20°C. Rated as A 4 Star Hotel but feel like staying in a Budget Hotel. Laundry service is only provided 2 times per week.

Great service , big props to GM Douglas for being an exemplary example of always going above and beyond in delivering excellent service to guests , great food - buffet breakfast and lunch spread with actually really good food and convenient location by the blue mrt line. Always a pleasure , always excellent service with Douglas and the Far East hospitality team!

During my 2 weeks stay in Rendezvous Hotel, I am truly amazed by the facilities and services provided by the staffs. The room is spacious and clean, equipped with strong wifi, good ventilation, tv channels, comfy beds etc. On top of that, the management organized fun challenges for us to relieve stress. Lastly, I would like to thank the management and staffs as they had made my quarantine days a good one!

Nice place for a staycation. Room is big enough and the amenities are good. Only complain is that the flushing from the neighbouring room’s toilet is real loud.

  • 4/5 Ralph R. 4 years ago on Google
Very nice, European style hotel. Close to the subway stops for three different lines making exploring the city from this location a breeze. Nice breakfast and dinner options available around in the neighborhood. Room is average for this type of hotel. The pool is truly great. Don't go there, so I can swim :)

A good hotel, with a very good location, walking distance to shopping area and not very far (30 minutes waking distance to Marina Bay). The room is spacious, spotless bed linen, a little bit hard the bed. Breakfast has a lot of options, not so many fruits, and salami, but anyhow very good. We have been happy to choose this hotel.

Revamped to add more local touch . Loved their Singapore heritage art deco on walls. Although a cruve room , smart use of mirrors add in more larger area illusion.. Far East group spares no effort in adding good amenities into the room . From the bidets to the kettle, you know it's on the higher range . Staff are friendly and cleaning is prompt. Only not pick is the TV is a little old, no interconnectivity. Running max at 720p. Great job.

It is a centrally located boutique hotel catering to families, couples and business travelers. The proximity of the hotel to the metro station makes it an ideal jumping off point for exploring Singapore. The hotel pool makes it a great place to lazy away a few hours after exploring the city. Incredible place to visit!

Very comfortable bed and pillows, clean room a great house keeping the room. There is no lounge or pub for regular guests, the complimentary breakfast is basic kind of buffet. Food is cold or maybe warm, good juice selection as well as the breads and pastries are good. Great coffe machines many of them no wait for your coffee, laundry service is not recommended expensive and my undershirts came back the same as when they were sent in ( with body orders). I would stay again !!!

Had a pleasant stay in the superior room. Spacious and clean. Area is quiet but well located: there are two subway station nearby. There's a foodcourt in the building across the road. Buffet breakfast was pretty decent as well. A mobile phone is also provided by the hotel which we didn't use.

We stayed here 5 years ago on our first trip to Singapore and liked the hotel so we can back. Staff amazing at reception and concierge’s desk! Great beds and pillows. The wifi is very good. Excellent location for walking and getting to and from the airport. So so easy to get here from airport.

Hotel at a great location and with very polite and service oriented staff. Good value for money rooms, well maintained and a decent international breakfast buffet. Can be a good base when in Singapore for a longish stay.

This is not a 4-star hotel. More like a 3-star one. The TV wasn't working. WiFi is very very slow that I had to use data. Service was sparse. The only positive thing is that their beds and pillows are very comfortable. Especially the pillows. Everything else leaves a lot to be desired.

All staff were excellent! Very helpful and friendly. The room is a bit dated but comfortable. The bed is a little small. Very good location. Centrally located, near Bugis, City Gall and just few minutes walk to the start of Orchard Road. A few MRT stations nearby, very convenient to everywhere.
