Well,
where
do
I
begin.
The
following
review
is
based
on
my
basic
expectations
of
what
a
supposedly
4-star
hotel
should
have,
especially
one
that
costs
over
300SGD
per
night.
Our
experience
at
this
hotel
began
with
an
extremely
unpleasant
interaction
with
the
receptionist.
It
was
the
most
unhelpful,
unnecessarily
stressful,
un-informative
check-in
process
we’ve
ever
experienced.
No
mention
about
any
usual
amenities
like
breakfast,
checkout
times,
the
pool
hours
and
she
seemed
to
want
to
be
anywhere
but
helping
us
at
that
moment.
Speaking
of
the
pool,
I
took
a
look
outside
as
I
pondered
a
quick
dip
and
to
my
surprise,
the
pool
was
missing
one
key
ingredient:
water.
Apparently
they
empty
it
every
Monday
to
clean
it.
Maybe
I
missed
some
key
life
fact
but
I
have
never
seen
a
hotel
empty
an
entire
swimming
pool
to
clean
it.
Should
I
be
concerned?
Why
is
the
rest
of
the
world
not
emptying
their
pools
once
a
week?
Probably
because
that’s
super
wasteful.
Greta
Thunberg
would
not
be
pleased.
I
digress-
the
experience
continues
spiraling
down
the
drain
as
we
enter
the
room
itself.
The
room
is
outdated,
and
worse
even,
dirty.
Mold
in
the
shower,
dirty
carpets
and
windows,
and
one
very
odd
addition
which
made
me
rather
uncomfortable.
There
is
a
small
note
which
is
essentially
a
religious
blessing
to
the
room’s
inhabitant.
I’m
all
for
religious
freedom
but
really?
Are
hotel
rooms
where
people
of
many
different
walks
of
life
pass
through
really
an
appropriate
place
to
include
a
religious
blessing
card?
Maybe
I’m
alone
in
this
view
but…
no
it’s
definitely
weird.
The
only
positives
I
can
think
of
are
the
location
and
one
nice
concierge
man
greeting
you
with
a
smile.
Point
is,
avoid
this
hotel
if
you
care
about
the
value
you
receive
for
your
money
and
go
spend
it
elsewhere.
