Overall the experience here was good. Will definitely consider another visit. The room is clean with a balcony overseeing the beach, one of the better views for hotels in Singapore. Got room service for the beef sandwich which tasted great but on the pricier side, price to be expected for hotel services. There are a variety of activities available in the hotel where you can refer to the timetable for the activities such as yoga, movies, balloon twisting. There are a number of facilities for kids such as water slides for children, water playground for toddlers. The location is slightly harder to enter but there are shuttle services available on an hourly/half-hourly schedule to and from vivo. My wife mentioned it was her birthday and the staff did say that something would be prepared; A small cake and note would have been a nice touch but they kind-of left us hanging. We didn't push for a follow-up since it was not that big of a deal for us. Overall our request for items such as a baby cott and baby bathtub was quick addressed and we got good answer for any questions relating to our stay.

This resort is very good for families and couples to use. The kindness of the staff is basic, and although the facilities are old, they are kept clean. If you visit on your honeymoon, ask for a cake to celebrate. The cake is very delicious. The swimming pool has a separate pool for kids, so it is good for children to play, and there is also an adult pool, so it is good to enjoy swimming quietly. And there is a separate beach dedicated to the resort, so it is perfect for enjoying the beach quietly. Breakfast is prepared from various countries and has a children's section. The food is delicious, too. But be prepared for birds to pick up food if you eat breakfast at an outdoor table. Overall, the price is expensive, but considering the prices of Singapore and the geographical characteristics of the island, it does not seem to be very expensive. If you have a long schedule on Sentosa Island, I recommend this resort.

Really good service by the staff. This hotel is old for sure but still you can't beat the location and the view. Some of the renovations are done well but plenty more could be done. The breakfast buffet is also done well with the help of the excellent staff during COVID. Not value for money on selective days when the price skyrockets. Nice place for the kids as they have a lot of places to do activity. Definitely a family friendly place and very easy to spend 2 nights. Also thanks a lot to the management for special note with a surprise cake to make our stay memorable.

Superb family hotel. Stayed two nights at Shangri-la and thought it's the best family hotel I have ever stayed at. They handed my kids beach toys when we checked in, lovely gesture. The bathroom had a step stool for my toddler. It makes life so much simpler for parents with young kids, wish more hotels did simple things like this. Makes u feel like your kids are welcome. The buffet has a huge kids spread, at their height and with child friendly plates. The activity center for children is the best I've seen in any hotel. My kids didn't want to leave. Superb quality of art and craft material too. The hotel is lovely, nice pool and slides, easy shuttle to get around the island. All in all, a fantastic choice for a lovely vacation.

Amazing service and rooms. Swimming pool was great including kids play area. Silver Shell Cafe excellent especially breakfast buffet. Great extra touches for a special birthday. Also really appreciated Liz from housekeeping who found and handed in my missing earring on checkout!

We went with high expectations after hearing so much about what a kid friendly resort this is. Unfortunately it really fell short of our expectations. We paid extra for an early check in at 12pm but our baby crib, steriliser and high chair only came at 330pm, way past my son’s naptime. Despite us calling them multiple times and them saying they will send it up. Food wasn’t great at silver shell cafe which we are okay about. Although for a kid friendly resort they can do better than bottled purées under ‘baby’s menu’ and fried nuggets/croquettes under ‘kids menu’? Perhaps a little more variety would be nice. Last, we were given a conjoining room. Given the thin walls, we could hear loud talking and laughter next door way past 10pm. Which isn’t considered that late. But would have appreciated if walls were better sound-proofed. The only saving grace was the sea view and large pools but we won’t be coming back. There are many other options around sentosa which we would head for in future.

The staff is very friendly, attentive and caring. You can tell they are all very well trained. From the breakfast staff who is fast and efficient to the guy who does the egg 🍳, I never have to wait unlike other hotels. The lifeguards at swimming pool also take their job seriously unlike other hotels sitting around playing with their phones. Only disappointment is the check in staff. The two ladies are too slow. Sometimes they work together to serve a client cutting down to 1 counter with a long queue. The first impression is gone. We had an enjoyable stay. The kid love all the activities. Breakfast and dinner buffet was good too. It’s truly a family hotel.

Had a very enjoyable stay here. The service staff are warm, friendly and helpful. Hotel room is clean. The view is amazing! Enjoyed the sightings of some birds. Also appreciated the little gestures (e.g. welcome gift). Stayed for 2 nights and there are quite a number of activities to do (kayaking, pool, gym, massage). Had a lot of fun during our stay. There are also activity rooms for kids. For the buffet, there is also a section catered for kids to get their food on their own! Some hit and misses for the buffet food, but it has a good spread. Had experienced some delays for the early check-in at 12PM. All in all, highly recommended for a relaxing and fun stay!

Had an enjoyable stay at this amazing property with its very own private beachfront. The guestrooms were well-maintained considering the age of the property. The balcony in the guestroom opened up to an amazing view of the swimming pool and the beach which gives a fantastic resort vibe. The food and beverage offerings were great too. Chef Pradeep's menu selection of Indian cuisine left my appetite satiated. The dishes were full of spice, flavorful and authentic. The set lunch offer at the Silver Shell Cafe was affordable yet value for money at S$38++. Appreciated the segregation of the swimming pool into various sections including one exclusively opened for adults only. Also, the beachfront offers complimentary sea sports activities such as Stand-Up Paddle, Kayak, etc. A great place for family and loved ones to spend some quality and enjoyable time together!

My son's wedding was held today, 24 Dec at Barnacle by the sea. This is our first time having a vegan banquet at this hotel; i was really glad that the food were well prepared; they were delicious and unique, filled with natural taste. I highly recommend the vegan banquet here. The staff service was sincere and friendly. This was my most satisfied hotel banquet experience. Our guess also gave compliments to the food and services. Thanks so much for your sincere service and the good food that has made my son's wedding function a great one!

Excellent hotel, almost only positive aspects about it. Pro: - big private beach with a lot of sunbeds - big pools for all ages, adults, kids and infants. Ordering food and drinks very easy using only your phone - constant activities in the pool area from morning to afternoon (aerobics and games) - complimentary fruits throughout the day in the pool area - very professional staff everywhere - complimentary refillable drinking water and ice throughout the hotel - excellent restaurant, complete food offering and good, chef occasionally asking us if food is ok Cons: - the only downside were the animals lurking in the pool area (peacocks and giant lizards). At first it may seem sweet and nice but eventually they'll annoy you always crawling on your belongings and sunbeds and stealing your food

The resort is very child-friendly. The bathroom was pre-equipped with child toothbrushes, soap and shampoo without having to ask and despite me not having any kids myself. So families with kids, this is a place you can consider, especially if your children are between 5-9 years of age. My photo shows the Deluxe Pool View Room with one King Bed that can accommodate 2 adults. The smaller bed can fit 1-2 children or 1 adult. Hotel staff are fantastic. Besides the pool, you have access to the beach. Breakfast and Lunch Buffets at Silver Shell Cafe were good. But just take note that this resort has been around for very long, so it is slightly dated. Room was clean but the corridor leading to it had a slightly musty smell. Overall, I enjoyed my stay here, and commend the friendly staff.

Great option for family with kids- lots of activities for kids, in the pool , balls , splash, slides, there is also equipment available for kayaking, paddle boarding, etc, one day is not enough to cover all of the activities. Room is clean not very spacious, a bit old style design. Service overall is good though some staff appears not very familiar with how to go about within Sentosa. Recommend it for family stay. A bit noisy for couple romantic staycation. The view from back : behind swimming pool, is amazing , a windy & quiet. You may be able to catch sunset on a beautiful day

I am writing to express my satisfaction with my recent stay at your hotel. I want to commend your staff for their friendly and courteous service, which contributed to a wonderful overall experience. The atmosphere was truly relaxing, and I felt like I was on a perfect vacation. One of the highlights of my stay was the pool area. The pool had a great ambiance, and there were frequent interactive programs that kept the guests entertained. The presence of a slide for children added to their enjoyment. Furthermore, the pool's proximity to the beach was convenient, allowing guests to easily access a variety of free water activities. I would like to extend my appreciation to one of your employees, Jonathan. He was exceptionally kind and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. He graciously upgraded us to a full ocean view room without any additional charges and even surprised us with a complimentary bottle of wine. His attentiveness and friendly demeanor made our stay even more memorable. The breakfast offered at your hotel was truly impressive. There was a wide selection of delicious food items, catering to different tastes and preferences. It was a delightful way to start the day and provided guests with plenty of options. However, I would like to bring to your attention a minor concern regarding the hotel shuttle bus service. The hourly schedule of the bus made it less frequent, and the limited seating capacity of approximately 28 seats caused some guests to be unable to board each time. Additionally, the instructions for queuing were not clear, resulting in instances of line-cutting. Improving the shuttle bus service and providing clearer guidance for queuing would greatly enhance the overall experience for guests. Despite this small inconvenience, I must emphasize that the overall performance of your hotel was outstanding. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would definitely choose to return in the future given the opportunity. Once again, I would like to express my gratitude to your staff for their exceptional service. Please extend my thanks to Jonathan for his exemplary service. Thank you for providing such a wonderful experience at your hotel.

This hotel is really worth it. I stayed there for 2 nights, regretted not extending my stay! The hotel offers plenty to do, and the food and staff are good too! I would definitely recommend this resort to anyone looking for fun for the whole family as there is a kids club for the kids while the parents can relax at the spa. Very worth it.

Absolutely amazing, and flawless! Only been here 2 times, but enough for me to tell you that this is one of my most highly recommended hotels! The rooms are ultra clean, spacious, and ultimately very comfortable. The pools are so fun and the beach! If you are considering staying there, you MUST hit the beach! If you are signing up under specific packages in the resort, you'll also be able to get a buffet! Not free, though. In summary, it's comfortable, family friendly, fun and relaxing! FIVE STARS!!!!!

My wife surprised me with a booking at Rasa on my birthday. We had a really great time away from usual hustle bustle at this place. Their private beach has a bunch of activities like kayaking, paddle boarding, badminton, ping ping etc. Their swimming pool is also great, and the best part is that there is a separate adults only area with two Jacuzzis. Rooms are also lovely with huge king bed and great view from balcony. All in all, a great vacation place.

My now husband and I held our wedding ceremony and dinner at Rasa in Dec 2022 and are so happy with how our big day turned out. We really liked the outdoor venues but it drizzled halfway through our ceremony so we had to shift dinner indoors. Even though it wasn't our first choice, the wet-weather ballroom (Horizon Pavilion) the hotel provided was still really nice and the food was really good (BBQ Buffet). We also extended our stay to 3D2N with our families and everyone had a great time - especially the kids as there are a lot of activities and facilities for them. Very grateful to our coordinator, Augustina and chef Alex for making our day amazing. Augustina was very responsive and organized throughout the planning process and accommodated all our requests. Chef Alex also listened to our feedback from the tasting dinner and made changes accordingly. The banquet staff were also very attentive and flexible on the actual day - shifting dinner indoors on short notice etc.

We had a nice 2D1N getaway. The service was 1st class. Food was surprisingly delicious, including a wide spread at breakfast at the awesome adults-only floor. However, the devil is in the details. The room, although understandably dated with scratchy furniture and furnishings that don't work perfect anymore, was surprisingly not spick and span. The blinds to the balcony were terribly dusty, as is the window next to the bathtub. You wouldn't miss the dust since you'd likely close both of these at some point of your stay. The shower class also has tons of water spots, a great tell-tale sign that it hasn't been wiped in ages. I think floor 10 housekeeping needs some spot check on their work.

Peak season like CNY could be insane here with tourists. Overall a solid resort with great food and facilities for little kids. My 3-year old hit the water slides for 5 hours a day. He couldn’t get enough of it. The Indian options at the buffet were delicious. The queues for breakfast and check-in were long only cos it was CNY but otherwise we had a wonderful stay. Believe this is also the only resort with beachfront, unfortunately we didn’t have time check it out. Maybe next time!

One of the best resort experiences I've had traveling. Amazing 8day stay! Staff are super friendly and helpful, location is absolutely amazing. Great for families! And the facilities are exactly what you need to accommodate a short or long stay. Highly recommend.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at this resort. The rooms were fantastic, aircon was always nice and cold and the staffs service was excellent. The resort itself was absolutely beautiful and the amenities were superb. The beach with activities right there at your feet. Very family friendly accommodation. We will definitely be returning when we come back to Singapore.

We spent 9 days with them! This was the best family vacation ever, fantastic views, outstanding people at kids club. Everyone is helpful and attentive. We can't wait to go back! The staff were exceptional and a few of them went above and beyond to making it magical for my son. The fun team members Roy and Sarah were absolute stars :-) Kumar at silver shell cafe was also so great and always made us smile. And he really looked after us! Eddie in concierge was also very helpful and made the process so easy. They all spoiled us and especially my son. We can't wait to see everyone again!

I would like to commend the staff of the hotel on their attentiveness as I needed help as my husband is a stroke victim in a wheelchair. The Resident Manager, Mr Daniel Khoo spotted us and came to ensure that I was able to park in a handicap lot and then helped me speed up my check in process since it was the start of the one week sept school holidays and the hotel’s lobby was packed. All the staff kept their cool, was all smiles and I am sure defused some tense moments by offering every one drinks while they were waiting. Thank you to the team especially Daniel for his sharp eyes which never seemed to miss anything.

So in all honesty when we arrived the rooms was so tiny and smelly very outdated design the rooms itself is so basic reminds me when we first started travelling 15 years ago when we could only visit 3 star hotels. There is no way in hell the rooms are 4 or 5 star the front desk and whole hotel experience gets 3 star they did not pickup the phones when I called many times and I had to go down personally and they said sorry we are busy checking in people. After complaining about the TV broken and bath tub with drainage problem the manger upgraded us which was nice as I was about to check out on the first day. There is always a massive queue for breakfast . Breakfast was 10/10 The pool and beach area gets 5 star super nice people working there and felt like a 5 star hotel shame about the rooms. Will I go back there again probably not.

Old tired property that so not value for money. Pool view room which is a glimpse through a tree. Small rooms which for $1000 a night, you would expect a lot more - fridge over heated so didn’t cool, bath plug didn’t seal - just little things but are inconvenient. This was our last stop through SEA and it was by far the worst on service, quality and a most uninspiring breakfast. The pool is great for the kids and the pool staff and guards make it a great experience but unfortunately that was the only highlight.

  • 4/5 Angela G. 1 year ago on Google
Fantastic breakfast spread at Silver Shell Cafe...I especially liked the Indian dishes. Dinner was also very good. Trapizza restaurant walking distance and very good. The pool area at the hotel was very nice; however it was very busy when we stayed. Although there was ample seating around the pool, more shelter would have been nice. My kids loved the kids club and begged me to take them there daily.

The place was beautiful even after so many years. Special thanks to Xavier at the pool side. Always a big smile and ever friendly. The chef of the buffet line is amazing. Great service and always a friendly and warm greeting whenever we come by. Highly recommend this. Place of my childhood playtime and also as pretty and beautiful today.

Had a very relaxing two night stay in August 2023. Rooms were clean and comfortable, with an excellent view. Staff friendly and attentive - make sure to engage with group exercise activity led by "Handsome Rob" who is a true star. Only minor let-down was the food - Asian options were decent but anything else tended to be 'soggy'.

It was a nice place to stay. Few things need to be changed. 1. They charged us for connecting set around 120 SG$ (60 per room). 2. On the very first day of arriving we paid for hill view room, but we got room having balcony just with trees. 3. Also, charging points in our room were not compatible with our US charger. However, in another connecting set or room it was working. Rest of the things were working fine.

As mentioned by others this hotel has a big noise problem. The rooms have 0 sound insulation so all night long you will hear stomping and scraping from above you and screaming in the corridors. The pools, breakfast and kids club are nice but with no sleep due to the noise it’s hard to enjoy it.

  • 4/5 Jim H. 4 months ago on Google
Maybe I over estimated what this hotel is. It felt a little tired - so many things needed some fresh paint or a deep clean it didn’t feel “5 star”. The service was well intentioned but there are basic things missing like allergen info on all the food in the restaurant. Everything should have a label, OR had a gluten free area. A waiter spilled wine over me and my toddler and we had 20% off the bill which is fine and accidents happen but it was slower and harder to fix than it should have been. The room service doesn’t let you make a comment so ordering something like “warm milk for a toddler” is harder than it needed to be. A few things that would make it way better: - a sail over part of the pool area so you can be in the water but in shade. - a lounge area that’s indoor and air conditioned. Only options really seemed to stay in your room, the soft play, or at a dining tables. Things like taxis and luggage were organised excellently. I had a seafood laksa that was world class. But then the kids fish n chips was super bad. So everything is mixed good and bad. Once you combine the hotel with what the island offers it was still a great stay but it didn’t feel luxury to me - like I said at the start maybe my expectations were too high.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The location is perfect, close to many attractions and has beach access. Great swimming pool with many water activities. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious, and the cleanliness of the hotel was impeccable. Kids friendly hotel with water activities and playgrounds for all ages. Highly recommended!

Fantastic resort for kids. Three waterslides, kids buffet, exercise program, toys, etc. If you're looking for a silent relaxation resort, it's probably not for you. One thing (therefore only four stars): Check-in and check-out takes extremely long time, the soft- and hardware seems to be outdated and unfortunately counter staff doesn't call for backup when someone else is waiting behind in the queue. On the other hand, buffet is outstanding, kids have their own buffet but of course can also eat from the adults. And when did your kids get the last time their own tent within the room? Best idea ever. All in all, great experience.

Loved the hotel and amenities! This appears to be an extremely kid friendly hotel however we never heard them in the hall nor the room next door. Beautiful views, great pool area. The location is not walkable to anywhere except the bus stop.

Visit this resort for a short meeting. Staffs are very friendly and welcoming. Redzuan from Concierge is very helpful with information. Pool was crowded. Love the lawn area facing the ocean. So peaceful away from the pool area.

This is my fourth time at the hotel. I was very pleasantly surprised when my family was given a complimentary upgrade by the hotel for 1 of my rooms :)) and the hotel even prepared a surprise birthday cake (in the fridge!) when they knew we were celebrating my mum's birthday during the stay! Totally blown away by the hotel's hospitality! Needless to say, the staycation experience was excellent; my family enjoyed the resort ambience, the kid friendly activities, the room service, the food at the silvershell cafe, and of course the pool and the private beach front!

The best beach staycay you can possibly get in Singapore with your family. Just stayed in the hotel the whole time and enjoyed every bit of the water and the pool. We basically did pool - beach - picnic. Then Pool - beach - pool the next day. Food was great too! A huge improvement from when I was here 2 years ago. Picnic could use a bit more savoury food, but the sweets were spot on and delicious. Breakfast was sumptuous. We also had lunch at Silver shell cafe. Nasi Goreng came with such a punch. Even the kid's meal burger was yummy! 10/10 will come back again!

Sufficient activities to keep children entertained but would recommend for 3yo and above to fully participate in the water activities. Food in the silver shell Cafe is quite expensive, would suggest some salt and sugar free options for younger children at the breakfast buffet. Thank you for accommodating to my request of later check out for my baby to wake from his nap. Rooms slightly dated, one of our sockets even fell out from the wall

The hotel is beautiful 🤩 perfect for families with children. The beach is accessible. The rooms were cosy. Breakfast spread was good. It was tasty too. The view from the room was wow 😍 I felt a little disconnected with the staff when it came to giving milk for my baby. Also they should have seperate counters for check-ins and check outs to avoid delays. I loved the place. Must try!

Spent a lovely birthday weekend in the family room! Room was spacious enough for 2 adults and 2 kids and ground floor access meant easy accessibility to the play area and swimming pool! We always love the pool here as the water is nice and not cold. Pleasantly surprised with the magician roaming during buffet dinner and the kids and adults were highly entertained!

The ultimate resort, no need to leave unless you want to explore Singapore. Great for kids, adult and business. There is always activities to do and the food is great. Thank you Shangri-La Rasa Sentosa you have made my family's holiday one if our greatest memories👍

Nice for family with kids but not worth the price. Kids pool is super small. Buffet Restaurant serves average food and breakfast after 8am has a huge queue. Long waiting time for check in and check out unless you use the app.

Incredible. This hotel has ruined any future hotel for me. I have a 2 year old and she absolutely loved it, kept saying "I so happy 😊 ". There are so many small touches that make this such a magical experience. The kids club activities, incredibly fun water park, playground on the beach. Kathleen was so thoughtful, sent a package up to our room when finding out my husband had fallen ill. My daughter to this day loves her little frog Toots given to her by Kathleen. The beautiful animals that roam around the resort. We can't wait to return.

My family (2A2C) stayed in a family garden room for 3 nights. It was a wonderful experience. The whole resort is family friendly (pool, beach, wet weather options...), but the family room (which comes preprepared with kids cutlery, bath toys, kids' shampoo and soap, child size bedroom slippers and bathrobes) really takes it one level up, and makes it so convenient for parents. Can't recommend this enough.

  • 5/5 Siti M. 2 years ago on Google
Cannot recommend this place enough. Just bear in mind that it is a family resort hence there’s lot of kids. But if you don’t mind that, it’s a GREAT hotel. Staff was helpful, friendly and welcoming. The hotel buffet was not very delicious but with the while as the menu was EXTENSIVE. This hotel has definitely managed to integrate digital into their service with the online ordering system. By the beach there was drinks and food service. There’s even free use or water activities like kayak. The pool and beach slots are 2 hours so it’s more than plenty of time. Will be back!

One of the great hotels in Singapore. The surrounding area is amazing and full of activities. Located at the southern most point of South-East Asia. Great place to be with your family and friends and there are so many amazing foods at the restaurant to be indulged in! 👍👍 ❤️❤️

We had a 3 Days 2 Nights stay and it was a memorable experience for my family (2 kids aged 5yr & 3yr). They enjoyed the indoor playground, art classes, kids pool area and also kayaking, pedal boats, etc We were also greeted with great hospitality and staff at Shangri-la took great care of my family well-being. The breakfast buffet was a delight, as they served almost all types of cuisines. Highly recommended to unwind and have a memorable staycation for family of all ages :)

Stayed here twice for 5d4n in Oct & May 2021. The kids really enjoyed the stay as it was child friendly with a plenty of activities be it indoor or outdoor. We had our meals at Sliver shell cafe daily. The food was good but we had the same menu throughout the 5d4n. It will be good to have a different set of menu on alternate day. We will definitely be going back with the kids and hope to see such improvement. Thank you

Amazing place with a good activities. Would like to highlight a very good cocktail experience at beach bar personally made by one of the bar man which I didn’t manage to get his name (very polite indian) but will forever remember the name and taste of it. He named it thicky fixx up, rum base with a refreshing orange, coconut pulp, pineapple and mint taste. Keep up the good mixture! And i hope one day it will be in the menu! Thank you for the opportunity to taste your creation! ❤️

My husband and I were both there with our respective families when we were kids, so we decided to return after we got married, and it is still as cozy as we remembered. The breakfast was great (it was the same throughout our 3 mornings there), though the quality might fluctuate. Our first and last mornings' breakfasts were better than the second day's. They might need to clean or renovate some places, though! We are already planning for our next staycation.

This is likely one of the most children/family-friendly places for a staycation in Singapore. There are plenty of facilities and activities to keep children busy pretty much the entire day. Our children got to expend all their energy, and thoroughly enjoyed it all. The room was comfortable, albeit a tad tight in space for a family of four. It felt the same in the shower too, and I kept bumping against the panels even though I am only slightly more than six feet tall. The rest of the room however was good - comfortable, reasonably well-equipped, clean, and the balcony had a great view of the beach (a rarity in Singapore I guess). Breakfast was good - among the better ones in terms of food quality and variety when compared against most of the other hotels we have stayed in locally since the pandemic began. We also had lunch in the hotel which wasn't too bad as well. Service levels were generally good too. Most of the staff members were friendly and helpful. They have a healthy proportion of local staff members, who really brought in quite abit of the "kampung spirit" to complete the resort feel. They have a proper beach, which is something very few other properties in Singapore can claim. It was one of the main reasons we chose to come here - because we miss beach resort holidays given the dearth of opportunities to travel abroad. The stay was not cheap by most measures, but the entire experience was generally positive. There was however something that took away one star from the rating though. I felt the resort did not take the safe distancing measures too seriously, and I thought it was disappointing, even alarming. Staff members did not bother trying to ensure families kept a safe distance from one another in the public areas. This was especially bad in the kids' play areas. My children did not get to play with the water slides because I refused to allow them to join in the jostling. There was no attempt to enforce the rules, which I considered to be a health risk.

Found a restaurant in Sentosa which serve Christmas buffet dinner during this COVID. Finally we had our first enjoyable buffet after 2 years. The food and services were good👍.

Extremely pleasant stay, very well run hotel, not bothered once by staff about anything, real feeling of freedom and peacefulness, we will come back! Thanks

Nice view with relatively private terrace. Room was not new but well kept and clean. The usual amenities were provided although of budget hotel quality. A box of fruit was complimentary, a nice touch at a glance, but one of the apples was nearly rotten. The buffet breakfast was mediocre and not to the standard one would expect. Poolside drinks are available but was served a mocktail made with rancid coconut. Equipment for water sports was included with beach access but the life vests were tattered, the paddle board missing the safety ankle strap, the board surface was worn down and in need of replacement. The Shangri-la Rasa is a resort hotel with it’s best days behind it. Time for them to up their game or lower their room prices.

Wonderful place for family staycation. Very helpful staffs. And even thou some of e indoor facilities for kids are hard to book due to covid restrictions, they have outdoor fun like canoeing(on the house), beach and sand(beside their pool), n nice kids water play... when facilities are fully booked online always remember check with staffs cos there will be ppl who cancelled or did not turn up. Shuttle bus to resort world and a nice Italian restaurant with great Italian food and a huge kid playground (think guests pay abt $10 per child) mins walk away. Hotel helped us when restaurant was unable for booking for the day we wanted. Not forgetting the beautiful cannonball tree and their resident water monitor lizards...

✅ Pros The room was very clean and had a nice view of the pool and beach. Resort-like feeling is a good break from the concrete jungle. The service was prompt and staff was friendly The breakfast buffet had a wide range of options ❌ Cons: The hotel seems very dated as compared to other properties in Singapore. It had extremely uncomfortable pillows which ruined our sleep. Did not expect this from a 5-star property. There was no hair dryer in the room and the water pressure in the shower was really weak. The “private” beach is just a small part of the public beach which is cordoned off. The experience wasn’t great. All in all, the cons outweigh the pros - did not feel like it was worth the price! Would not recommend

Although facilities are little bit old, there are lots of places kids can enjoy. Swimming pool is entirely for children, while kids can play at toots club. Art craft and toots club are not too strictly control entrance, so people may try even if they could not book in advance.

Very lengthy and slow check in process. Food quite poor, 1-star, reheated fried rubbish. Low quality breakfast. Rooms dated and need refurbishing. Resort clean with great pool and beach location for children. If the resort put effort into food it would really help itself. Staff very friendly, but poorly trained and most can’t answer basic questions. Overpriced and very mixed experience.

The place and everything is amazing but then as compared to other hotels this hotel really needs some improvement their rooms are dirty and they don't even provide facial wash. Their rooms are pretty small, to me $500 per day isn't very worth it. Overall I think everything is amazing and fun just that their rooms need improvemet.

Resort it self is really nice and kids friendly. Staff are welcoming and will help with anything you ask them. Has amazing views and swimming area, restaurants are good and food is great as have a wide selections on buffet. Only down side to this place is the outdated rooms. Don't get me wrong they are clean and bed is very comfortable to sleep on however old showers outdated room decor and TV screens from the early 2000s not smart. Shame really as the place could do with a upgrade. I would recommend this place however there are places nearby which I have also stayed just as nice but updated and cheaper. Only other down side is the pool area gets really busy quite quickly and trying to get a deck chair can be a challenge as people just leave there towels and don't come back for hours. Some of us just want to sunbathing and enjoy a few cocktails!

The hotel went an extra mile to welcome us! The surprise element is just so amazing and welcoming to my family. 1) Upon checking in, the front desk staff gave my daughter color pencils and paper. 2) they put a tent inside the room. 3) they had balloons in the room to wish my baby girl happy birthday 4) they even had a surprise note outside the mini fridge with a slice of birthday cake. 5) we went swimming after checking in, the swimming guard knew it was my baby girl birthday. He asked us to go to the main pool at 4pm. We thought it was just for some aerobic lessons but the instructor sang birthday song for my daughter before she starts the lesson. And they surprised us with another slice of cake. Highly recommended to parents who have children. Super amazing and I will definitely recommend this place to everyone I know and I’ll be back! Well done to all the staffs at Shangri La! Amazing work.

The room is too small and not quite friendly for family compared with other 5 star hotels. Location is quite good close to a bus stop. However the level of service is not good and people at reception desk not friendly. Will try W hotel next time.

We booked a terrace pool view room but were not aware that it could be ground floor. The ground floor room has no privacy as people walking past the pool can look in. Staff also just wander into the patio area without warning to trim the trees. Ground floor rooms (we have stayed in a ground floor family room before as well) are very dark and claustrophobic. I would not have booked a terrace pool view room if I had known it might be ground floor. This was not in the room description. When I asked reception staff if we could upgrade (we were willing to pay extra) to a non ground floor room, they did try to help but the room offered was also not ideal. There were no other rooms available. The room itself is very outdated. The fan had paint peeling off and the speed could not be adjusted— just on or off. The tv was very grainy and small. Reception staff are a mix of standoffish and slow. It took them quite long to reset my room card that wasn’t working. Check in is always at 4pm earliest for our last 3 stays over last few years. The dinner buffet is also not worth the price though the breakfast is better. The redeeming grace is the pool and beach facilities such as the standup paddle and kayaking. My kids love these activities. Otherwise we won’t be back again.

Having been to Singapore five or six times, we decided to stay in a more kid-friendly hotel and picked Shangri-La Sentosa. The general hotel and its location are fine, but not to my liking. We have stayed more than 20 nights are Shangri-La hotels in the region (primarily Malaysia) and there is definitely some service issues at this particular hotel. Firstly, the concierge never replied to two emails directly from me and one email from our travel agent. Some of our requests were met (we told them it was our son's birthday, for example) but it felt like a cold transaction. Secondly, we felt like a number here from the reception staff. It's a big hotel, but we never felt like the level of service was there from them. I was unhappy with the room given to us at check-in and it felt like I really needed to push for the solution from the manager. Lastly, there was a lot of noise. Lots of kids = lots of noise, of course. But this felt more like a Disney hotel at times than a 5* resort. Other than that, we felt that breakfast was really good and well managed (despite the queues). Furthermore, the kids club was very good and all the staff there should be commended. They do an excellent job. So, overall, I would recommend staying here if you want to linger by the pool and beach with your little one. But understand this isn't a typical 5* hotel with all of the things you'd usually expect. Next time, we'll stay somewhere else.

Thoroughly enjoyed myself at this family oriented resort. Staff are friendly, thoughtful and warm and accommodating. You get to play water sports for free. Kids can dropped off/play on the play area(bring your own socks) with staff looking after them. Water play area is fun. Wanted to specially mention that the Chinese uncle who was with the concierge team seemed very thoughtful and hardworking. I was in room 866 from Dec 7-8 and the housekeeping was excellent and very thoughtful to lay my 2 twin beds out nicely layout to accommodate my family

We largely enjoyed our stay. This resort is mainly for children and families so not quite the romantic honeymoon we were after. Check in was also an embarassing ordeal that started things off poorly. We enjoyed the bars and the buffet breakfast. The shuttle bus was also reliable and convenient. We did find that the restaurants closed way too early considering that they were catering for holiday guests. Our room was also quite dated. Overall, we enjoyed our stay but likely won't be back.

I hate to give it a 3 stars but the experience didn’t meet my expectations. The whole property is an old property, but what disappoint me were : 1. The room were very humid when me & my wife checked in. 2. The AC didn’t work properly, our room was not cold enough. 3. The mini bar was also not cold. 4. Called the engineering team, one guy came and checked on the AC and told us something is broken from the parts. I thought he was going to fix it but no. 5. The service staff at the Restaurant on level 3 were not helpful at all. I simply asked for a glass of ice (because my wife loved iced coffee) but the one chubby guy at the bar was intentionally bang the coffee cup full of ice onto the bar counter with a deep sigh. But the reservation team were great, they prepared a complimentary Anniversary Cake for me & my wife. The room service was great, and fast! Overall, a revamp is needed in my opinion to upgrade the whole experience.

Generally can just stay within resort, almost everything you need is there. 7-11 just outside the hotel if needed. Probably after covid, seems like labour crunch affected them as well. Service staff are fine, facilities and programs at the pool are not too bad. Children and adults would enjoy activities, especially the kids. Surf board rowing, kayaking and paddle boat are all free to play at the beach. Children need to be at least 1m tall to play the sea activities. There's beach ball, table tennis, badminton to play too. Kid's indoor playground, socks required, parents not allowed to enter, so it's great for parents to take a break! (Timing please see photo) art's & craft area, body painting, parents are allowed to accompany. Location wise is quite inconvenient, but there's shuttle bus to and fro, connecting the resort & nearest train station out of island. Within island there are shuttle buses too. Note that most places within the island and resort are closed around 10-11pm, quite early for the nocturnal people.

I had high expectations but it wasn't fulfilled. For starters it's a 26 year old hotel which hasn't been renovated. The room size is OK, with good view. The amenities are old, need to be changed. The staffs need to be given some hospitality training. I didn't feel welcomed by the staffs. For the price I paid I expected more. The only positive point is they provided us with a cake since it was our anniversary. We requested for a late check out since our flight was in the evening but they openly said NO without even checking the possibility. So for the price you can surely with better hotels in Sentosa.

Nicely located at the end of the island away from all the noise and people at resorts world. Rooms are small but ok. They show their age a little but acceptable. House keeping and staff always did a great job to help. Capacity was only at 42% so it didn't feel crowded. Close to transport shops etc. Pool is great kids loved the slides high tea for Easter and breakfast was fine. This place is ideal for families

A 5 star hotel, buffet spread is great. Indoor kids activities available. Swimming pool with kids' slides Rooms are clean. Pillows can be too soft for liking. The design of the lobby and the carpark with no lift Access is a bottleneck for checking in and out. Wasn't able to get food from outside as the demand was very high. Had to settle our meals at the hotel.

The managers and other staff lives up to their standard of hospitality service. Very professional, yet at the same time friendly service. The food at the ballroom are fine. Banquet service staff are also well prepared before the event, and diligently serving tables during the event. Great job to the staff we had on 19 Jan 2022, at the Horizon Pavilion. A round of applause to them all.

We had an absolutely wonderful 6 night stay at Shangri La Rasa Sentosa and highly recommend this resort. The location and hotel facilities were outstanding, including extremely attentive staff and an outstanding breakfast. Activities for children, a fantastic pool area (with plenty of sun beds and shade), free shuttle bus to the huge shopping complex, very comfortable beds and spotless, spacious rooms were among the many highlights. From check-in to check-out we had a wonderful experience, with a special thank you to Jennifer who went out of her way to make my husband’s birthday and my family’s experience memorable in the best ways.
