I really enjoyed their dinner buffet pre-covid times, so I was disappointed with their breakfast buffet and afternoon tea. The variety and quality of not up to my expectation. However, the quality of the room and hospitality of the staff allowed me to continue enjoy my staycation after a long while. So just book the room and enjoy your meals at other places. However please be reminded that we are still in covid times so check-in would be very crowded a long wait time, but it is understandable and I also notice the staff are trying their best to help us as I see they are quite under staff.

Loved the room but it was a little bit too small for 4 people. There was something wrong with the drains of the bathroom because something stunk most of the time. Otherwise the service was outstanding. The breakfast was perfect, loved the menu. The staff were super nice and polite. Loved the decor. I would recommend this if you are going alone or with 2 people, can't recommend it for families though.

We had our wedding banquet at Orchard Hotel, if you are planning the same, DON'T. The only thing that was good was the food. Huating really delivered on the quality of the food. Everything else however has ruined the once in a lifetime wedding that my bride and I wanted to have. Prior to the wedding, we took time off work multiple times to head down to the venue to discuss with the details with the Assistant Sales Manager - events, Sunshine, multiple times. We discussed details such as what color do we want the VIP table sash to be and where do we want the AV table to be. We even gave all our requests in a clear excel file. Lo and behold, on the actual day itself it was all wrong. When questioned about this, they had the gall to push the blame on us and said it is because we did not come down earlier to make sure everything was okay. What was the point of us wasting time to come down to the venue for discussions then. Or the excel file. That is just the tip of the humongous screw up job they did. During the day itself, the banquet manager, Scott, was clearly very new at his job and just wanted to rush us so that he could go home. In the solemnization room, the AC was leaking onto our guests and when notified of this, he said that its an old problem and that it was our fault for having so many guests. Firstly, the tone he had was shocking, and the gall to push the blame back on to us again was astonishing. If it was a known problem, has happened before, why was nothing done to mitigate or even minimize the problem. Next was during the banquet itself. My bride and I took the time to select songs that meant a lot to us to play in the background during the banquet. Scott had the gall to make unnecessary comments to our friend helping with the AV. Towards the end of the night, whilst we were still saying our goodbyes to our guests, he rushed us with the receipt. This was very unsightly, unprofessional and incompetent on their part. Not to mention how many problems there were with the audio in both the solemnization room and the ballroom itself. Sounds from the other solemnization room was leaking over to ours, to the point that our marriage officiant had to raise her voice just to be heard. And the ballroom audio had a lot of issues as well. Microphones sounded weird, audio crew was unable to solve certain issues and our own friends had to step in to solve it. So we were already having a terrible night at this point, and just wanted them to take accountability for failing to deliver what was promised. Which was what we told them before we went to bed. The next day, the F&B manager, Bing, called us down after being briefed on what happened and asked us to repeat again what happened. After repeating it again for the 3rd time at this point, he kept pushing the blame and said that the crew itself did nothing wrong and it couldn't be helped. There were small mistakes here and there but nothing that warrant any corrective or apologetic gesture. The most common answer we got from him was "Thank you for the feedback, we will take it into account moving forward. We will train our staff better." It felt like talking to a brick wall and was clear that he did not care nor take this as seriously as we did. A wedding is a once in a lifetime event, and it was ruined for us by them. To the point that we actually had trouble sleeping at night and even had to waste our 1st day as a married couple talking to them, angering us even more when their attitude was clearly complacent and just trying to get us to shut up and move on. We had placed our faith that Orchard hotel would help us have a proper wedding and clearly it was misplaced. I am very very shocked that this is the quality of service here and all we are asking for is for them to take proper accountability for their action. If you think I am the only one, there are similar complains from previous couples that have had their wedding here. So clearly, they did not "take the feedback and improve on it". Please have your wedding elsewhere and do not suffer like we did.

Due to the cancellation of my flight we got sent to this amazing hotel .But what an amazing hotel. The lobby and the environment is just absolutely stunning. I had the best meal ever at the buffet. I really enjoyed the rooms. Looking forward to stay here more often.

Great buffet! Very good Chinese restaurant here too! Lobby bar serves good cocktails and live music on some nights. Hotel is a little old, but well maintained.

Just had my wedding recently at Orchard hotel for dinner banquet. Do think twice to host your wedding here, as guests will be DISAPPOINTED by their service which they mentioned that they take pride in “providing exceptional guests experiences”. First off, which is the ONLY good note of the whole wedding dinner was the food by HUATING! Food was absolutely delicious, no doubt. Complements from all the guests as well, which is the only saving grace of our wedding. Everything else ruined my once in a life time wedding experience! So we have multiple back and forth emails and calls prior to the wedding day. And also went down to OHS for meeting with the sales assistant manager- Events, sunshine, to discuss and confirmed on details for actual day. Was also told that I’m able to go down for AV testing but yet was forgotten about it. And we have to make another trip down. So with all these discussion made, how can they still screwed up the color of the VIP chair sash and the position of the AV table. When questioned, they push the blame and ask why didn’t we (the couple!) go down to the ballroom to check to make sure everything was ok? Then what was the point of us having calls and f2f meetup to confirm on our decisions made! They will super inflexible as well, and there are no room for discussions. When asked if we are able to check in earlier on the actual day as we need to have our makeup done before solemnisation, sunshine mentioned that we have to topup extra for early checkin even without checking if it’s possible. It was only after asking her multiple times to check and was able to squeeze for check in at 2pm instead of 3pm. As we are very tired from these back and forth meetings on our first day as married couple! Talking to 2 different manager (that wasn’t customer experience manager) and repeated the problem for the 3rd time, they are still unable to give us a proper answer to all the problems and yet pushing the blame on us So these are the problems I faced and hopefully all the future couples do not have to go through the same as us. *ROM ROOM* 1. Audio wasn’t loud enough, sound proof is very bad, keep overhearing the other room 2. Water leaking at the back of the room (mentioned was condensation issue due to lowering of temperature as we have many pax inside, however, the water leaking started even before solemnisation started. Chairs were not even fully occupied. Not sure how its related to too many pax) *RECEPTION* 1. Signage and barricade of area between ballroom 3 and our ballroom are not very clear causing many of our guests going to the wrong ballroom. *BALLROOM* 1. Audio connection was poor inside even with our 2 new laptops. 2. AV table wasn’t placed at the correct position when already converse many times to be on the left side, causing my helper to standby at the audio table almost entire time as audio table was far from his seat. 3. Staffs don’t know how to solve the issues and yet needed my side people to solve the audio issue and fix the AV problems. (Staff tried to connect to specific connection but he still unable to solve it) 4. No contingency plan to solve issues and yet my people have to think of using own ipad to play music through the mic for March in to take place. 5. In a rush to open door and for couple to March in when the whole ballroom is still dark and led screen wasn’t even ready and is still black screen 6. Crabmeat sauce with bun dish wasn’t given a bowl at some tables and yet some tables have it. No consistency on this and when requested for bowls, they mention: we don’t serve bowl, only plate. 7. VIP CHAIR sash color wasn’t the correct one as communicated. 8. One of Emcee mic sounds weird 9. Unnecessary comments & choice of words from staff on choices of music. *OTHERS* 1. Bringing over the banquet invoice for couple to sign when there are guests still hanging around outside reception area, it wasn’t a nice sight to see 2. Also, to note that, is not for F&B manager - BING , to tell the couple to “move on and stop hovering on this” Think twice!

I enjoyed my time here The buffet is the best part of this hotel I always looked forward to breakfast and dinner I stayed a total of 8 days and it was the best The staff were very friendly The location is the best,it connects to several malls. I was able to do all my shoppings,it even connects to a mall right inside the hotel The bed was a bit too small for two people though

It is my 2nd consecutive annual birthday stay at Orchard Hotel and it was a splendid experience yet again. Room was great. View could have been better though. The only setback was the breakfast variety. It was the same menu for the 2 days that i had stayed. A different menu would have been better. Overall, it was a fantastic stay and I will surely not hesitate to stay here again. Thank you Millennium Group.

I booked a 9am to 5pm room. Room was good but the environment outside the room was noisy. If you are trying to sleep in the hotel then it's not the place you wanna book. Btw the noise was apparently made by their own staff. Even wrote an email to the hotel about the issue they have, only to be ignored. Just add an update. The replied to email them but no response for a few months

Quite a pleasant hotel considering its age. Room is well maintained but at night it can look pretty dim but at least cosy. Will be better if the room has more lights to help the brightness and the ambience. The bed is surprisingly superb. My first room's view felt pretty enclosed with no privacy so I requested for a more open view which Claudia was very nice and promptly changed to the pool view for me after I mentioned I will be here for 3 nights. Location is central and I rate it 5 stars due to its price and overall value for money.

The hotel is a little dated as its has been around for awhile now but generally it was a pleasant stay and the staff were polite and helpful. The room is clean and well maintained. Good location and easy access to Orchard Road belt for a wide variety of shopping and dining. Breakfast was ample and there is a good selection of local and western cuisine. I had a comfortable stay and would recommend it to others for personal or business stay.

Stay 2 days in Orchard hotel for Christmas. Staff is friendly but not as knowledgeable of hotel service. Can’t advise properly or correctly. Food is nice. Room is quite old in decor but clean. Facility: we only try the pool. Acceptable for kids. Location is good. Quite accessible to Orchard shopping street and restaurants. Breakfast buffet always has long queue however turnaround time of the queue is about 15 mins, acceptable. Overall experience is enjoyable with nice food, clean room and fun at Orchard road shopping, movies as well as other Christmas activities.

Stayed May 15th for two nights. Check in was extremely slow. Was also questioned about myself and partner sharing one bed. It’s 2023 Singapore, get over your conservative attitudes. Room was okay, nothing amazing. Breakfast was included and it was a massive buffet filled with the most amount of inedible food ever. Couldn’t wait to leave the stressful buffet restaurant. Didn’t even eat there the next morning. Ordered cocktails in the bar near the lobby. Was extremely overpriced just like everything else is in Singapore. Will not be back. Will not recommend and will never revisit Singapore for a stopover due to its out of control prices.

We booked Orchard Hotel for a dinner gathering for my entire secondary sch cohort on 27 May 2023. It is a significant year for us and Orchard Hotel pulled out all stops and made it a truly memorable night for all of us! They gave us very competitive rates whilst remaining accommodating towards our requests for some changes. I have to thank Jolene (our coordinator), Nelson (banquet manager) and their entire team for guarding our gathering the entire way to ensure everything went super smoothly. The food has to be highlighted!!! We had a buffet and I've never organized one at a hotel ballroom where all the guests came up to specially thank us for the GOOD FOOD!!! This certainly beats what we had 4 years ago at a more expensive hotel! The starters lineup was outstanding; never had all the starters taste good enough to match the mains before! I have to also make special mention of the main dishes which were wiped out many times round through the entire night cos they were so yummy.. The meats, seafood and veges were all served up warm and superbly done without being under/over cooked and the taste of every item was just just nice... All of us really went back for seconds and thirds... Given our age, this is indeed quite a rare thing.... The pumpkin soup hit the spot and all the desserts were just nice; not too sweet and the portions were spot on..... I seldom see my friends go back for seconds for sweeties before so this was something new.... Thank you, Orchard Hotel and the entire banquet/buffet team. We had one of the best nights out as a cohort and it was icing on the cake to have the food done so well that we were eating through the entire night too! Special thanks to Jolene, Nelson and the buffet chefs!

I’m a returning customer. From the start of reservation the staff was helpful, check in was smooth even thou the staff didn’t explain clearly and there was miscommunication. I check in on my birthday and as a millennium member there was no perks during my stay. The room was good, spacious and comfortable. Enjoyed my time at the pool as it wasn’t crowded. I like the location its near mall and eatery.

Front office engages too many foreigners in staffing whom lack empathy in addressing issues. Concierges don't communicate with each other on matters during the change of duties. Being my first visit here of a 5-star ratted establishment, this place needs to revamped their policies in addressing people care

Stayed here for business and found the room is nice although clearly it has been quite dated, can feel this feeling since the entrance and lobby. Clean bathroom and comfy bed is what I need. But I got disturbed when the hotel wanted to charge $5 for ice cubes, something I never encountered. Location is great, short walk to Orchard, and Botanical garden. Gym is there but small, pool is nicer, literally not much area when you got kids, lucky i don’t have my family coming along. Breakfast can be busy so be mindful when you are in a rush, decent quality though. I saw tourist bus come and also airline crews, good business for this hotel is not cheap.

Excellent staff service and great , spacious rooms. The variety and quality of the breakfast offered in the hotel is superb. Location is very convenient- right on Orchard road and hotel has internal passage to the nearby cold storage supermarket to allow a shop for snacks etc without need to get out in the heat. Only slight downside (and reason for a 4 instead of 5 stars scoring on the room) is some minor maintenance (loose power point and section of bubbling wall paper in the room) requiring attention. Will definitely be back again.

Very much enjoyed my stay here. Staff are super helpful and accommodating. Love the jazz bar and the breakfast buffet. Room was clean and the king bed was super comfy! I appreciated the regular top ups of bottled water every day - a must with all this humidity. Check in time did take a while, understandable with such a busy hotel. I think the online check in feature could be improved to reduce wait times, but otherwise very satisfied.

Nice and clean hotel. Friendly staff. 1 star of because of the slow check-in,which took almost a half an hour with only one counter being open and a queue of 7 people behind me...luckily I was next in line. Otherwise perfect hotel. Room is tidy but the bathtub and shower too small for me to shower/bathe comfortable. Still 4 stars because of the hotel and room cleanliness.

I had a pleasant stay. Thank you to the room preparation team who prepared the cake and wine for my friend's birthday prior to our arrival. Joey and Amanda at front desk were also helpful on handling my check-ins and my requests. Housekeeping lady, Lily was very thorough and attentive in her cleaning. Orchard Cafe staff, Linda and Johnny were also great in their service during breakfast. The bathroom could have been better though, if the lights can be dimmed. Overall a very pleasant stay.

The room felt so welcoming and the ambient does not feel like commercial hotel. It feel like back home. Unfortunately, location is located at no where and quite a distance of walk if travel by public transport. But this added points for the peace and calm environment.

The hotel staff are very friendly, we arrived early and they let us check in. The governing of security is very well done, from check in to hotel lobby, verification of guests before allowing to hotel lift are well observed, excellent security for covid-19 health and safety. Hotel room is kept very clean and air con is efficient, room very airy. Location of hotel is fantastic, very short walks to orchard shops and eating venues.

Though my initial impression of Orchard Hotel is that it is dingy and old but having given it a try earlier in the year has totally changed my mind and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, which prompted me to staycation in Jul and then will again next week. Keep up the good work, Orchard Hotel!

If you have to be stuck in a hotel for 2 weeks, then this hotel is good. Food was good and always on schedule. Room had a big TV that I used as my second monitor. Bathroom was big can clean. And it was so quiet. I slept really well. Really helped with my jet-lag. Staff was friendly and helped me with my luggage.

Standard rules and regulations apply to the use of the most popular online resources available to the public and its so stunning to be able to stay in and out of the work I do and I have a great time to enjoy the rest of the day or so and enjoy the rest of the week with friends and colleagues in the area.

Had a very bad experience, I stayed overnight from 4th to 5th Sept... The customer services was bad from the entering of the hotel to the check in to the tea time services... the pictures were misleading too, there was a bath tub pic but I was given a room that didn't have bath tub even though we upgraded to lounge.

in a brief summary - underwhelming experience, would advise against spending your money on this staycation. honestly wondering how there could be so many unpleasant surprises in a 1-night stay. inflexible gym booking system - not allowed to use as long as no booking made, even though the gym facilities has 0 persons using it at the moment and we offered to make ourselves scarce once any other guests came along. strict no we got. the staff said that we are not the first guests who have brought this issue up. so why is there no improvement made given that COVID restrictions have come into place for a while now? generally service is lacking, hope that staff can be more courteous and professional in their language and not make me feel like i'm at a random coffeeshop. e.g. doorman calling out to us "hello hello! walk the other way please" At breakfast buffet - no trays, have to walk multiple trip to collect my drinks, bread basket and yogurt. The staff told me "you must tell me how many you want!", when I requested to have croissants. At afternoon tea - "nah, just these two plates" (same staff as previous). yes ok there's only two plates of food person for the afternoon tea, and they looked like an assortment of leftover food in terms of presentation. Another staff did not offer to replace my drink when I gave feedback that the hot chocolate tasted like milk without any chocolate (I guess their beverage machine ran out of chocolate powder) - simply told me that she'd pass the feedback to the kitchen. Had to ask explicitly if alright for me to have another drink instead. Housekeeping - shockingly saw a badly stained teaspoon with thick chunk of dried up ?chocolate in the cup; as if someone had eaten chocolate cake with it and not washed it. gave feedback to the reception next morning, and the reply I had was "if you tell us now, there is nothing we can do". Facilities - saw during our stay that 2 different guests had issues with their access cards, when they scanned the lift still could not go to their intended levels. Otherwise, linen, towels, and the room were clean.

First time being at Orchard Hotel, service level was not really 5 stars; the high tea set was not impressive as other 5 stars hotels in orchard. In fact im quite disappointed. There was also a long queue being observed for check-in. I observed during my meal that the queue easily could be as long as 30 mins or more. Its also observed that they are short handed out of fairness.

Booked the premier suite. Reasonable price and good package. Staying guests had 20% discount for F&B. Came with a cake and bottle of wine delivered to room. Suite room is very spacious with living, dining areas. Sofa turned into a bed at night for the kids. It's a pity this room does not seem to be available for booking anymore. I tried many dates and can't find it anymore. Cons: USB charging on the bedside side not working when lights were turned off but nothing major.

I am serving my SHN at Orchard Hotel Singapore. The overall service is okay, but they are a little inconsistent. I would say it's bearable since they eventually acceded to my request after 2 days, and a letter via their feedback form. That said, I believe, some of the staff do understand serving a 14-day SHN in a room can be tough. I chatted with a staff who was escorting me, I told him I noticed the hotel looks new. He shared that renovation was under 2 years ago, and you can tell because the carpets are still bouncy - the attention to detail! I thought that was nice. So, yea, they try their best to make you feel comfortable, even with small gestures. My vegetarian meals were alright - and if they can get vegetarian done well, I would imagine the normal menu would be better. The room is newly renovated and slightly roomier - had a couch and a window. You'll realize how important the window is after a couple of days... I started loosing track of day and time after day 4 :( Would have given them a 5 star if I did not have to kick up a fuss over a drinking glass. I would imagine it would be equally difficult to get a plate since it's not part of the original room inventory. Hope this review helped!

Everything was good except for the only thing: When I request for late checkout on a Monday on a 2-night stay, I was told that the latest timing the hotel can allow is 12pm. Isn't 12pm the standard checkout timing? A typical dumb reply from a dumb receptionist. Don't think I will book again because of such inflexibility.

Right from the check-in procedure by Quam Kponton all the way to check out, each and every staff member be it room service or call attendants, the service staff, the staff at facilities like gym and pool, all were fantastic and top notch. Congratulations to the management for having assembled such a wonderful team which made the stay such a pleasure. The location is also right on Orchard road and walkable distance to Botanic gardens. Highly recommended !

Some of the staff at the main entrance is not really friendly. Unfortunately I could not get to see their names. Information counter staff in shopping malls are more friendly than them. For the stay experience, it is quite okay but not really great.

I would like to thank the hotel staffs for their excellent service in accommodating and making all necessary arrangements for my fiance birthday and make it a memorable stay. They did a simple birthday deco in our room and gave a slice of cake too. Thanks especially to cecilla from hotel cafe during our high tea to have served us well when we dine in there and made efforts to change our food from pork to chicken as we were Hindu and wont eat pork. Thank you to miuccia and Dominic to arrange our room on the highest floor possible and to give a nice spacious room. Miuccia served me with a smile and was very pleasant looking and polite. Keep it up girl! Thank you to Lin to reconfirm on my room deco and arrange it as well. Overall my experience for a first timer staying there was great! Thank you so much for that! Check-in queue was long. Bathroom was constantly flooded, had to put a lot of towels to prevent from slipping. In-room service call was down throughout the 3D2N stay which was unacceptable.

Head over to HuaTing for hearty Chinese fare when you feel like giving yourself a treat. Their paofan is the atas version with hot stone and is absolutely delish! I love their crackling roast pork that gives this lovely crunch when you bite into it. XO carrot cake in hot stone ensures the dish is always warm, carrot cake is slightly crisp on the outside and yet soft on the inside.

Do not use this place for SHN. The rooms are not properly cleaned and is the dirtiest of all the hotels that I have stayed in. Not recommended at all.

Due to the measure of Covid-19, being mandated to serve 14-day quarantine in Orchard Hotel, overall, the room service was nice , no matter how many requirements you asked, they always tried to figure out in a short time, the only point I could pick was the carpet wasn't clean enough.

I stayed at Orchard Hotel due to my SHN @SDF, returning Singapore. The room was a bit small but clean and nice. Hotel staffs were very friendly. Service was excellent! I didn't know very well about this hotel before but I would come back with my family, probably for the bigger room :)

After check in I requested some fresh milk for my toddler. I had to call 4 times over a period of five hours to get a glass of milk. The next day after 3 phone calls I gave up. Many requests for house keeping matters needed to be followed up with a second call. One of the shaving kits and one of the cotton bud packets had already been used and not replaced. In a heavy rain shower the ceiling leaked and needed repair. It looked like this had been happening a while due to the stains on the ceiling.

Room is great. But bathtub is very shallow. I went to the restaurant/cafe on 10 oct 2021, was very very very upset that the truffle creamy mushroom pasta is discontinued. I went there to eat in March 2021, it was delicious.

隔壁叫床是不是太大声了点?相当不隔音。As for rest of the hotel it is excellent for a 4 star almost comparable to 5 stars apart from toiletries. Great overall hotel service, pool, restaurants, cleanliness (no odors!) and well maintained infrastructure despite age of the building. Keep it up! But keep the volume down!

Had a quite good experience for my stay. I booked a primier room, the price is reasonable, although the room is not very new, it's clean and comfortable for me, definitely worth to stay. Breakfast taste is average, but got many choices (Western, Local, Chinese..).

2nd time to this Hotel for Wedding Banquet! This time round due to the ongoing COVID restrictions; only limited guests were invited to the function! The venue was nicely done and tables were spaced out evenly with less than 30 tables! Unlike pre-covid times; dinner was served individually to each guest and no typical Shouting of “Cheers” allowed! More importantly the newly weds were more relaxed and could really enjoy the dinner too!

Checked in 2 weeks ago for a weekend staycation. The check in was smooth as we get to pre select time slots for check in, however this doesn’t mean that you will get the room key even if you opt for earlier check-ins. However we don’t mind given this current Covid climate. The room was very clean, but condition aged as you can see that the bath tubs and toilet bowls have many grey scratches. It will be better if staff can emphasize that the last ordering of breakfast is 10am despite the cafe open till 10.30am. We almost missed the breakfast serving as we reach at 9.55am. Pretty early for a weekend as often people will sleep in later.

Was disappointed generally with the stay. My husband and I arrived at 4pm on a weekday and there were 4 counters opened, i understand if families having issues with check in but there was no social distancing. At one single counter you see more than 5 people standing together with the front desk. Behind you see families of many standing waiting for check in to be done. The glass panel at reception is of no use as well, staff and guests are talking out of the panel. However, rooms were pretty nicely renovated except for the poor soundproofing. Can hear families shouting in their rooms. Staff at cafe was friendly, however was disappointed with the food variety.

Great location! Few minutes walk to Ion Orchard and many other malls. Staff were friendly and helpful. ( I was assisted with my check in by Jerry and he has definitely made our stay a great experience with his assistance and bubbly attitude ) My room was comfortable and spacious with an okay view facing towards Ion Orchard Our only issue was the breakfast buffet ($38++ per pax) where there was not much variety as compared to other hotels, toasts and bread were cold even though we arrived at 6:40 am, 10 minutes after breakfast buffet opening hours. Staff were there to help assist and scoop food for you. We will definitely be returning to this hotel and will be looking forward to another wonderful stay.

Location wise: 4/5 Bus stop nearby (behind the hotel), hotel is connected to Claymore (there's supermarket) and there are many malls in walking distance. However, slightly far from the MRT. Service: 6/5 Staffs were extremely friendly and helpful, guided us throughout everything. Very good! Amenities: 5/5 Standard stuff, local tv channels and others like HBO. Things like swimming pool needs booking. (Due to Covid) Toiletries were given. (They will be replenish if you request for housekeeping) I think there were around 4 plugs + a charging port for you to charge. Nothing special I guess.... :) Cleanliness: 4/5 If I were to nitpick something about this hotel, it will be about it's cleanliness. When we first went into the toilet, the bathtub was kinda dirty. There's a few tiny black particles, a strand of hair and the grip handle thingy has white powder over it. The area behind the sink was also kinda dirty. Onto the room, some places were a bit dusty. One of the bedsheets was uncomfortable to sleep in. There's like the fluff balls? on the leg area. (I just slept with the bathrobe on lol) Other than these problems, the room is relatively clean! (All these small minor problems can be easily solved but Im just too lazy.) Overall, will I come back to this hotel? It's a big yes for me!

Nice ambience while at the lobby. Check-In was a breeze. The Family room was good and everything is just right for our family of 2 adults and 3 child. Kids enjoyed their stay. The toiletries was sufficient during our 2 nights stay. But just wondering why check out time is 11am while most other hotels are at 12noon. Had to make the kids shorten their time in the bathtub so that its in time for the check out 😂

Overall, quite a pleasant 3D2N stay. But I hope there can be more changes, in order to maintain their 4 star hotel standards. Firstly, service. The front counter seems to be very short handed. There was an occurrence where we wanted to ask receptionist to answer some of our queries at 11pm. However, there was only one staff at the counter and he was busy speaking to a lady, who seemed to be a guest. So we stood patiently at one of the empty counters for approximately 10 minutes. But it turns out that they were chatting as the lady walked to the other end of the counters and continued talking to the bell boy. The staff attended to us after his conversation ended. However, he seemed slightly annoyed that we ended his conversation. This has made my partner and I slightly uncomfortable after that encounter. When asked about the bar operating hours, he mentioned that the bar was still in a “look-see-look-see” phase where it closes at 11pm rather than the stated closing hour at 1am. But most of the time, we observed that the bartender was not present during our stay, so we ended up not claiming the 2 x complimentary drinks. Also, we wanted to get room service at 11 30 pm and was told to use the QR code to scan to see the menu. When we did, the website was closed from ordering and unable to access the menu. We called off the idea straight. With regards to the room, the kettle provided at the mini bar area trips the sockets and light at the entrance area and mini bar area whenever we are trying to boil some water. We checked in late at around 3/4pm and they allowed us to check out late at 2pm. The express check out is hassle-free too. Hopefully they can improve in the near future.

Staff were friendly and professional. I will have to say that hotel room was worth the price though, as I went for day use usage. The swimming pool and gym were also available. The hotel is slightly run down, but other than that, I got to say it is worth it. In addition, the staff also assisted to pass a cake and extra dessert for our anniversary, which was a pleasant surprise.

  • 2/5 David T. 2 years ago on Google
Price isn't the friendliest, that's OK provided the amenities and quality of service is good. Unfortunately, there is much to be desired regarding the quality of treatment by the staff. Their attitude is poor, unprofessional, you get the feeling of an attempt at chiding of a child asking for another helping, when making simple requests about reclaiming lost items (or other simple things like serviettes or boxes) . Like a simple bookmark that holds little monetary value, they have to confirm whose it could be, doubting it belongs to you. It's a bookmark for goodness sake. It's value in sentimentality outweighing it's $1.20 cost, who's going to come claim this if it isn't theirs? Anyway, the complimentary breakfast buffet is not worth having, both for the time, and space in your stomach, considering what you could otherwise have when visiting the local malls. Complementary does not mean good, it is but a marketing trap, especially considering the exorbitant price of $40+. Most of their food taste and feel like cheap factory frozen products reheated at the back of a cheap Cafe, laid out on decorative plates to increase their photographic appeal. Do not waste your time with these. Perhaps try it once for the first day, and then leave it (except for convenience, there is otherwise little value to stuff yourself full). Do not believe for once that it is worth anywhere near the advertised price. It is done to discourage non-guests from coming in to dine, nothing more. It is after all, complimentary. I've eventually settled on a tiny plate of croissants (factory made, reheated frozen stuff and hence, unsatisfying) and some juice to get some energy in me before heading out for a real breakfast. The swimming pool is dated, and the gym is cramped and small Not recommended if you are considering any of these provisions in your selection of a hotel to stay in. If you're looking for a good overall experience and I would say that your treatment by the staff will play a significant role, I would caution you making a booking here. Remember, your time is valuable and you wouldn't want to feel like you're being treated like a beggar when you're on vacation, especially when there are far better choices out there. Be warned.

Really like this hotel - I try and stay here each time I visit Singapore. Great central location, nice rooms, very friendly staff (Anna who cleans the rooms is just lovely to chat to). Buffet breakfast is quite tasty. Very close to great bars for friendly Singaporean hospitality. See you in a few weeks orchard hotel.

Booked a 3D2N package with breakfast provided at an affordable price! The food has a wide variety to choose from and it was delicious. Overall, it was a short but pleasant stay and i would love to go back again!

Check-in went smoothly. It was raining, so I didn't get to enjoy the view as much. Overall, the room was spacious and comfy. Everything was well maintained and clean, so that's great for me. Though there was an unfamiliar smell emitting from the room that I really can't deal with, luckily, I brought my scented candles, and that made the whole experience better. Also, the lights were giving off romantic vibes, so if you're going for that, definitely a win.

Great staff, working here!!!!! The only reason I gave rooms 4 stars instead of 5 is the rooms AC on the coldest setting was comfortable but not cold and after a hot shower room would be warm for a little while. Other than that room was nice and clean, and comfortable.

Just had my 4D3N stay at the Orchard Hotel. The family room was pleasant and my kids loved it so much. The bed was comfortable. The receptionist and room service was great! The toiletries were never ran out. The breakfast has a variety of choices which tasted delicious! One of the good side of the cafe is they give plastics to those who wish to take away the food for whom is not present at the breakfast. However, the staffs during the breakfast was a quite rude if I may say. When other in house guest was asking for a plate, the waitress impatiently replied him to wait. In other hand, another waitress told us rudely that she has to quickly tidying up the table as if to chase us out. She could have asked us politely. Looking forward to have improvement next time!

I was given this really old room with weird smell at first, after some communication the staff upgraded me to a different room which I appreciate the gesture. The hotel is too busy, my package includes daily breakfast but I’ve never eaten my breakfast there during my 8 days stay because it’s always so packed there’s always a long line. There are always some kind of events happening in the hotel (wedding, gathering…etc). If you prefer privacy and quieter place this place is not for you. Location is good, value isn’t too bad. Room is old but clean.

Booked a room for the day and were allocated at their signature floor. As we are the returned guests, we are surprised and at the same time impressed as we walked out from the lift. It is different from the previous time we visited. Anyway, we simply love the theme at its lobby and the room, as well as the shower that comes with Jet massage. Will definitely come back and hopefully to be allocated the same floor again.

Location of the Hotel is excellent. But, check-in / check-out queue was very long & over crowded. Didn't find any luggage assistance upon arrival & departure. Also there was long queue for getting seats to have breakfast and the breakfast area was over crowded again.! Location of the Hotel is ideally great, services are required to be improved a lot.!

Had an excellent stay at this hotel when travelling to Singapore. The staff are lovely, my room was great, and breakfast selection was truly amazing. One thing to improve would be perhaps marking the dishes a bit more clearly as it was sometimes hard to know whether something was vegetarian or not. Also if you’re after some snacks or drinks there is a supermarket in the adjacent mall - very convenient.

Great location. Nicely scented lobby. Room is furnished with good amenities. Lots of cabinets for storage - the only downside is the overhead cabinet above the luggage stand. I think this design is wrong as I hit my head twice upon standing up after retrieving some stuff from my luggage. The bed is comfortably firm and soft. Strong internet connection. Great breakfast spread. Express check out is a plus.

Visited Orchard Cafe (within Orchard Hotel) for a business lunch buffet priced at about S$63 nett per head. There is a wide range of selection from Chinese, to Indian, Japanese & local delights. Service was great! The only surprise we had was the 2nd bottle of plain (distilled) water will be charged at S$8++. Just serve us tap water will be fine. Although there are dispenser for cold and hot water for free. Simply puzzling. The buffet closes at 2pm. The decoration is conventional, and center piece in Orchard Hotel has been the "clock tower". It has been standing there for more than 2 decades. The ballrooms with adjourning partition walls can be opened to a huge space with high ceilings without pillars, making this an ideal place for wedding banquets. Couples should check it out!

So good to have a day stay. It's 20 min from the airport but the beds are comfortable, and there are blackout curtains. We stayed twice as it was so good the first time and did not disappoint the second time. Room is fine but not soundproof especially the door. Check-in take 10 minutes each so I need to wait around 20 minutes to get check -in at night. Buffet breakfast is quite good with variety of food. Prime location on Orchard road and you can reach shopping center and restaurants in the distance on walk. Look like short of staff and service is not good comparing to others in the same price tag.

Very much enjoyed this hotel. The staff is excellent and more than makes up for the certain sports that the property is slightly outdated. The on-site food and dining options is high quality though limited in selection. There is a small shopping center connected to hoel which has dining options, food and even a grocery store. All in all, I would gladly stay at this property again.

Not well advertised on any booking site as being a non-smoking building which meant getting 2 elevators, down 16 flights, crossing the road and standing in the street to have a cigarette. The room was quite small for 2 people travelling which made sorting luggage a pain with little storage space. Bathroom setup took up half the room and doesn't give a lot of privacy. Lack of mirror close to socket so difficult to do hair etc. Beds were very comfortable

I am currently staying at the orchard hotel and am extremely disappointed about how rude and unhelpful the front door staff service was, for the price. Staff was not available to help our all female group with our luggage when checking in on a Monday during the late afternoon but was available at 6pm Wednesday to scold us for being slow to exit our car share because we were looking for a lost item. The item was lost for good due to the staff person rushing the driver off.

Rooms are tidy but very small. Nice pool, the gym is incredibly small and doesn't offer much though. Negative note, the breakfast buffet is very expensive for the quality of the products offered. Don't mind to spend, but must be for a reason. The food is a not good enough.
