Hotel is clean. Check in and out were swift. Enjoyed my stay between 26/6/22 - 2/7/22. Special credit goes to Florence the housekeeper. She was very friendly and efficient. Always smiling and cheerful when you meet her. Everyday she will enter my room to ensure the room is clean by mopping the floor, change our towels and replenish the toiletries. She ensured my mum has a clean environment for her recovery from her operations.

Hotel is located at a good place in Singapore. You have access to everything like market, bus stand, restaurants, temple. Felt room size was somewhat small but that's ok for our of home stays. Rooms are clean and has good view from window. Breakfast in the hotel has same menu on all days which is one point they should improve. Other wise breakfast is also good. Overall worthy stay here.

The hotel is on the outskirts of the main busy hub of the city, but is fairly close to three different stations on the MRT, which makes it relatively easy to get around the city, and to and from the airport. The cost per night seemed quite expensive to us for an Ibis, but presumably this reflects the general costs through Singapore. The reception staff were great with us. Having arrived a long time before check-in time, primarily just to leave our luggage with them, they identified that we were particularly tired after a long flight and were able to let us have a room there and then. Later we also had a problem with our door key key working and they were able to sort it quickly and efficiently. All the other members of staff that we encountered were happy and friendly. We were in a Queen room which is quite small with nowhere to put luggage, so it is constantly in the way when moving around the room. There is a handy cool water dispenser in the corridor. The breakfast buffet is great with a wide range of foods to suit all cultures from around the world. These were regularly replenished so there was always a full choice.

The hotel is good for a holiday stay, rooms are comfortable tho sparse which is not really to be unexpected. The location is terrific, walkable to most shopping centres, and the MRT is just up the road of you want to go further afield. The front desk is a little slow, maybe out of practice with more people arriving now, but the associates are friendly and helpful enough so no real issue

the room is good for a city budget hotel but it does feel a little run down. and it feels like a dorm. many guests tend to leave their doors open and walk around between rooms and floors and talk loudly. during late night it’s fine. some of the staffs are very nice and accommodating. some of the staffs are very rude and would talk about you right behind your back. even feel like they intent for us to hear, it’s very interesting mannerism they carry.

Great Location. Food courts around. Bus stop right in front of the hotel. Metro station in 5 mins walk. Friendly staff. I tried their breakfast 2 times and it was good. They fill up water bottles on request. I stayed here for 2 weeks and I did not have a single issue. Rooms are a little small. Bed is quite comfortable. Housekeeping is available on request. Its a no frills hotel.

Super convenient location. Though it’s next to temple but noise isn’t too noticeable (my room was located on 12/F) Believe that the hotel has been renovated. With basic amenity items, shower gel, shampoo, shaving kits, toothbrush and even slippers. Reasonable price for a twin room for around $130USD per night.

Rooms are a bit small but I guess that's what you get for this price and location. Rooms were clean, dry bathroom, and has a small corner seat area. I like that the window is a bay window - gives you good 180-degree views. There needs to be more plugs - I counted only 2 universal outlets, 2 used by the appliances, and a shaver one in the toilet. Location was great though - it was a 5-minute walk to many things like malls, food, transit, etc. Internet is ~15 Mb/s up and down. The air con is quite loud, even on the low setting, and when it reaches the target temperature, the fan doesn't quiet down. There is no need to get the breakfast unless you really want to - there are at least 2 hawker centers within a 3-minute walk open for breakfast.

Great location...multiple options available at the buffet breakfast table...clean and neat place. Only drawback is the size of the rooms ... small rooms and photos shown on their web site may not give a correct sense of proportion of these rooms....but for location and cleanliness they are great πŸ‘

Great location. The MRT, bus station, food joints, a 7-11 store, etc are all very close by. They have small rooms, but comfortable. Fine for 2 people, but not for more. And each room has a lovely large window - which is the best thing about these rooms. Staff is friendly, though in-room service (some clogging in the washroom, for example) is slow.

Neat and clean hotel with fast services. Their buffet breakfast is good too. They serve from light to heavy meals. Sweet to savoury and also vegetarian options. Every floor had hot and cold drinking services. Our room had a great view. Really enjoyed staying there.

Stayed here in December 2022 for 4 days. As a solo traveller, this place was just the right size for me. It had all the basic amenities I needed and it was well maintained. They did inform beforehand that there would be some drilling works due to renovations and that only lasted for a few hours while I was out. Overall the place was also a great central location and a 5 minute walk to the nearest MRT. A bus stop right outside the hotel was also convenient to get to all the destinations close by. Plenty of food shops around too. Highly recommend staying here!

It's a 3-stared hotel. For the room size, price, facilities, location and service, it's good for short stay (<5 days). Free Wi-Fi. Room: air conditioned- ok. Cool enough after a long walk in hot days. Although not big, it's still able to place (only) one big baggage and 2 small carry on baggage on the floor. No baggage rack (no spare place for this indeed). Not always staying at the hotel, so comfy beds are more important than a big room. Two standard single beds (2 pillows each) with separate bedside tables without drawers. Mattress and pillows were comfy. There is a 2-seated sofa besides the bed, a flat TV, a chair and a desk with a chair facing window. Good to let us laying on the bed or sofa to watch TV. The desk is good enough for one people doing computer or paperwork. More drawers, no paper or pen. Window viewing the alley and the back of a Chinese Temple. There are 2 tall sheves. One is for hanging clothes and an iron board. However, 5-6 big hangers with clips are suitable for some clothes. There is a electric kettle with 2 cups and spoons, free tea bags and instant coffee, and a mini fridge. The safe is big enough to store my laptop. Washroom: Rather dated but function well. The sink water is ready to drink. Nice to have a Hand-held shower. Ventilation is ok. Two large towels, 2 face towels and 1 medium towel, a box of tissue are provided. Two glasses and 2 sets of toothbrush and mini toothpaste besides the sinks. The toothbrush quality was ok. Handwash/ bodywash and shampoo is refillable. I hate the toilet paper because it's too thin (I haven't ever seen like that in other hotels). It made my hand dirty and forced me to use more toilet paper (before I went to take shower). -- 6.7/10 Service: We came early at 10 and wanted to put down the baggage to hotel. The frontdesk staff, Aziller, was very nice and helpful. She said to have only one room left, so we could did check in earlier (and we are hotel nember as well). Check out time is 11am. Very long queue at frontdesk around the check out time. No Room service as Covid - can request if need. Dust on the floor - found on my baggage. So far, the frontdesk staff were very polite with smiling eyes (all were wearing masks). We had 2 free welcome drinks at Le Bar in the afternoon. The drinks were average. The breakfast buffet, $21 has Western, Chinese, Maylaysian and Indian food and drinks- good value. But I tried the Express Menu (breakfast or lunck, $8++) that promoted in the lifts. Only the captain/manager Sha know and able to handle it. The catering staff either Le bar or Taste lacked of smiles (they didn't wear masks) except the one who didn't know how to serve us a iced coffee. He only served us half cup of hot tea and coffee. He gave us a half teacup of hot coffee with 3-4 ice cubes and a staw. I asked abd show him to give me full cup of hot tea. After given me a full cup of hot tea, he suddenly gave us a tall glass with few ice cubes. He let us do or correct it on our own. So weird! He is a part-time or new staff? Maybe he recalled how an iced coffee ought to be. They need more training.--- 7/10 Other facilities: Gym, carpark, and bicycle for rent. I didn't use it. Location: very good. Few minutes walk distance to MRT stations (approx. Bencoolen 6mins, Bugis 5mins, Rocher 4mins). Bus stops are just in front of the hotel. Albert food Centre, street market, A Chinese Template, and Hindu Temple are behind the hotel. Also, good for shopping as various shopping malls and places nearby, like Albert OG, 3 New Bugis Street, Bugis+, Bugis junctions, Sim Laim Square. About 10+ minutes walk to Famous Sultan Mosque and Haji Lane. --- 8.5/10

Everything what you expect from Ibis: fair price and total absence of services. Very unfriendly staff (except Nas, who was always very helpful), horrible breakfast (both the service and the food) and very well located. Location is the only positive thing of this place. Rooms are standard, small for a long stay, OK for a couple of nights.

Although the room seems kind of small, but in Singapore this room is actually pretty spacious! The service was great, and the breakfast was great as well. There was a lot of options, Western and Eastern options. The only thing was it was kind of difficult because there were only two elevators so the elevators took quite a while and it's not like you want to take the stairs. But overall I highly recommend this hotel. The location is very good it's pretty much in the middle of everything. It's also close to Bugis And it's walking distance within several of the MTR stations. Overall I will recommend this hotel. There are also lots of vegetarian options nearby which it's a plus.

This hotel is suitable for tourist who love to eat & shops. Very strategic place. Small size room but cozy enough. Bad experience with the service. Especially for what i saw when i checked in. The Manager (a woman) had a bad attitude towards guests & employee. Scold a check in counter guy in front of me. Showing not a friendly face & attitude towards a group of americans people checking in a large group. You need to show a SMILE & great attitude towards everybody in a hotel business. Especially in a big group like ACCOR group.

Ibis on Bencoolen is an old hotel (by Singapore standards), but it is provides very good value for money. The rooms are average sized for Singapore, and provide the basic amenities and facilities, including safe, tea/coffee making facilities, iron, and mini fridge. The furnishings are old, but the bed is quite comfortable. The age of the hotel shows in the plumbing - getting a consistent flow of hot water during peak hours is challenging. The views of the city are unobstructed and nice (I was on 14th floor). Where the hotel excels is in service - the staff is very attentive and efficient. The other facility that jet-lagged travelers will appreciate is the breakfast service that starts at 4am and lasts until noon. The location is very good, and close to 3 MRT stations (Bras Basah, Bencoolen, and Rochor). Overall, this hotel provides really good value for money.

Good services and value for the money; centrally located β€” a great great location in fact β€” but really slow time waiting just to get anything at the front desk. I also enjoyed the breakfast and the staff there: really clean and professional. The problem that the hotel needs to urgently fix is to train its currently not so friendly front desk with limited servicemindedness. Most of them don’t feel the urgency of the customers and only care about their immediate task β€” and don’t know how to properly address the problems with clear solutions.

The location is convenient. However, there is no housekeeping except on request only. No face towels and hand towels are provided. The reason is COVID 19, less personal contact and hygiene. Please don’t use COVID as an excuse for your cost cutting. Your guests are not stupid. I have been staying in this hotel at least the pass 3 times when I was holidaying in Singapore. In future, definitely I will not stay here again and not recommend to others too.

Last minute booking due to delayed flight. Check in a credit for 11pm to the resourcefulness late at night. All guests from same flight processed and given room keys quickly. Breakfast next day was a lesson in how to deal with sudden influx of guests. Pretty sure I saw the GM and possibly food and Bev manager clearing tables, and helping the smooth running of unexpected capacity.

    1. Check in was smooth 2. Daily room cleaning schedule is after 4 pm. I end up opted to just change the towels. The QR code for you to scan doesn't really work. But overall it is fine. 3. All staff are very helpful. 4. Parking coupon doesnt work on the 3rd day. Could be system glitch. But action taken by the staff was smooth. 5. Check out also very smooth.

I had an exceptional stay at this hotel! The staff was incredibly attentive, the room was immaculate, and the amenities were top-notch. I highly recommend this hotel for a memorable and enjoyable stay.

We had a really early arrival and a very late flight the next day. The service of luggage storage on arrival and departure was excellent. The rooms had what we needed, and were clean and comfortable. The supplied portable phone in the room needa a new charger as it does not charge overnight

The room is big enough to move around easily. Lots of variety food nearby. Staff is friendy and helpful. Breakfast is good enough but hope it can increase more selections. Has a self laundry service inside the hotel. 5-10 min walk to nearest MRT station. 5 min walk to nearest Mall.

At first, I reserved twin bed executive room but seemed like many study tour students stayed at that hotel, so we are upgraded into king executive room. We got 1626 room the highest corner room with very nice view. All equipment (AC, shower, etc.) is well maintained. Hope we can stay in this room again for the next stay. The allowed us for late check-out and ordered taxi for us during the check-out time. Breakfast was superb and had many varieties.

Was my first time staying at the property that my wife and I enjoyed very much. Property is situated in the heart of the civic district, has good amenities (air-conditioning, good shower facility with thoughtfully provisioned consumables) and excellent service staff. :-) Would definitely return for subsequent stays. :-) Thank you!

Staff is not polite and welcoming. Doesn't even respond to a Thank You or Good Morning greeting. Requested for room cleaning and mugs in room multiple times, still couldn't get it untill 3 hours which is highly unexpected for any hotel. On our second night, AC stopped working in room. Had to report the issue to guest services multiple times before they even looked into the issue. It further took them time to confirm the issue and offer us a change of room. It was a hectic day with all the travel and we had to pack and move to another room at midnight after waiting for an hour. This was one of the worst experiences for me in a hotel.

The rooms are clean and spacious; I booked one queen room. The location is excellent. The shower room is tiny, and noise isolation isn't good; you'll hear other guests talking and slamming doors at night as they get to their rooms.

  • 5/5 Sarah Y. 5 months ago on Google
The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and, though small, has all facilities which travellers need. The location is excellent. Not only is the hotel close to two MRT stations but it is also very close to many tourist attractions.

We like the location where it is near purple line and green line which makes it very convenient. Elevators waiting time is also fast, which is unexpected as there were a lot of rooms. Check out was also fast. We also like the view from 11f. The only downside is the acoustics of the door, as you can easily hear the people from the hallway.

We stayed in this hotel during our last visit to Singapore, it’s very conveniently located close to multiple MRT stations and bus stops. Close to bugis shopping area and has some decent restaurants nearby. Rooms are compact for a family. They provide many options in Breakfast, just be sure to go on time. If you go for breakfast close to 10:00, it’s possible that you will find some of the food items are empty/removed.

  • 3/5 Soul E. 5 months ago on Google
Rooms are a bit small but very clean. The room service is sub par. If you want as much as a plate / cutlery you’re expected to go down to the restaurant and get it yourself and the staff tells you to come back and return it in an unpleasant way. I mean is it really that hard to send up basic cutlery to the guest room ? Location is top notch. Close to multiple MRT stations. However, For the rates per night, one would expect better staff and service.

  • 4/5 B C. 4 months ago on Google
Budget hotel good for a few nights stay. The room we had was a bit dated but was clean with all necessary amenities. Would have expected bottled water to be provided as is standard for all hotels these days. Beds were clean and comfortable. Even though the room was away from the lifts could hear the constant drone of lifts through out the night. Also very little sound proofing between rooms and there was constant noise from guests talking loudly late at night in the corridors. Also, noisy aircon in the room meant it had to be turned off at night to avoid noise. Breakfast options were excellent although for eggs no options for anything other than scrambled eggs. Staff very friendly and helpful.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Ibis Singapore on Bencoolen, and overall, it was a positive experience. Well Located: The hotel's location is undoubtedly a standout feature. Situated in the heart of Singapore on Bencoolen Street, it provides easy access to various attractions, shopping districts, and public transportation. This convenience greatly enhanced my overall enjoyment of the trip. Less Vegetarian Options: One aspect that could be improved upon is the limited selection of vegetarian options in the hotel's dining facilities. As a vegetarian, I found myself with fewer choices than I would have preferred. However, it's worth noting that the staff was accommodating and willing to assist in finding suitable alternatives. All Over Stay Was Good: Despite the slight limitation in vegetarian options, my overall stay at Hotel Ibis was enjoyable. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, providing a relaxing atmosphere after a day of exploring the city. The amenities and services offered by the hotel contributed to a positive overall impression. Helpful Staff: The standout feature of my stay was undoubtedly the helpful and courteous staff. From the front desk to the housekeeping team, everyone went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant experience. They were attentive to my needs and provided valuable insights about the local area, making my stay even more enjoyable. In conclusion, Hotel Ibis Singapore on Bencoolen is a well-located establishment with friendly and helpful staff. While the vegetarian dining options could be expanded, the positive aspects of the hotel, including its prime location and overall comfort, make it a solid choice for travelers looking to explore Singapore.

It is a great location, near the shopping mall and local restaurants and a famous one 2 minute's walk to the famous Temple πŸ›• both Chinese and Hindu temples. Seven eleven next to the hotel The coffee shop is nearby too The hotel service was excellent! They cared about my comments about the smelly room, and quickly and not too long after, the hotel manager contacted me to apologize and ask if I wanted to change or spray the room however the smell was gone overall. I had a great night's stay over my business trip at Ibis Bencoolen Hotel. Recommend if anyone is looking for places to stay during your SG trip with good value and near the central.

As an Accorplus Platinum member, I cannot remember how many times have I stayed at this hotel but this time, it was really special. It was great pleasure to be attended during check-in by Jennica. Despite of the crowd, she still managed to show her calmness and she was very apologetic as my room was waiting for final check by housekeeping. She is very professional and she deserved to be compliment for her working attitude and patience. I was also upgraded to a room at higher floor. Thank you, Ibis Bencoolen and thank you to Jennica for this best experience.

Fantastic location and the restaurant was great compared to other Ibis hotels but the keycard to my room kept glitching out. So I would go up to the Eighth floor, be denied entry to my room then have to go back down to reception to get them to fix it...every...single..time. And they looked annoyed at me! The rooms were small like jail cells too (trust me...I know) and they stunk of cigarettes BUT the location was amazing (amongst all the Buddhist temples and shops) and they do a perfect steak so I would be tempted to stay next time in Singapore but probably not.

I checked in with a seminar group. The hotel staff are nice and helpful and the room is satisfactory. But. Checking was supposed to be 10am but we were only given our room at 5pm which really affected the seminar. Lunch and dinner was severely over priced, and underwhelming. We had all our luggage in the seminar room so the staff offered to lock up after he is done refreshing the pantry but to our horror, we came back to unlocked doors. It was very irresponsible of the staff to do that. Overall pleasant hotel, but wouldn't come back again.

The elevator will wait for more than 5 minutes when it is crowded. Of course there's no social distance on the elevator. Other than that the hotel is well located walking distance to the nearby subway and local bus stops right in front of the hotel. Rooms are just like typical ibis hotel rooms. Very friendly staff at the lobby, breakfast is okay

The hotel that travels by bus is convenient, mrt is within walking distance, the room is big,but the soundproof is not very good the shower point at the shower is a bit small. Nearby MRT Station (Rochor), just few minutes walk. Hotel downstairs has 7-11 convenience store which is open 24 hours. Opposite has Burger King fast food and some local food stalls. The room is clean and the breakfast is good with many choices. You can find safe, iron with iron board, toothpaste, tooth brush, electric kettle. It has a sign to show tap water is safe to drink and thus no mineral water served. Easy check in and check out.

Stayed 7 nights. Was here 8 years ago - the location is perfect, so easy to use subway or buses. Also within walking distance of a number of sights. Room was on 15th floor away from any noise and the perfect size for one person. The included breakfast is great, plenty of variety - 7 days and didn't get bored with the choices. Particularly liked the water despenser in hallway and complimentary soft drinks and kitkat in mini bar - nice touch. This is classed as a 3 star hotel but it exceeded expectations. (Ok, a pool would be nice!) Will stay again if I am back in Singapore.

Very nice hotel with good location. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel which is very convenient. Rooms are smaller but that’s ok Singapore being a costlier city prices are high and rooms are a bit smaller. The staff is helpful.

Very nice hotel and strategically located. Furnishing does get a bit old now, but cleaniness is still very good. Our rooms' aircon is very cold and can not adjust the temperature as the dials do not work. Additionally, if they have a toilet bidet installed, that would be better. I also noticed you can hear other room doors close. Overall, it is still a good hotel to stay in. Would still come again for sure.

We spent an amazing week at Ibis Bencoolen. Absolutely no complaints. Chose their king bed room with breakfast option. Bed and room were spacious enough for a family of 3. Breakfast spread was very tasty and varied everyday. Staff at front desk and restaurant as well as cleaning staff is super friendly. Loved the free mini bar and international phone service that they provide to the guests. And lastly, perfect location..With 2 bus stops and 3 mrt stations around you, we could travel by public transport very conveniently. There are many 7-Eleven's and cafes around the hotel. Thanks for a perfect stay!

Initially our room wasn't up to our standard, however David and his team at Ibis did everything they could to change our experience and moved us to a better room. David took the time to meet with us to hear our concerns and made sure we felt like a valued guest. The location of this hotel is perfect for someone who wants a centralized location. Our room was very clean and housekeeping did a great job of tidying up for us. We will definitely be back.

Location is great. Room are small and basic. Spend 5 weeks here for work. So all I did was sleep and work The elevators need improvement for sure. It takes sometimes more then 10 minutes just to get in an elevator

Convenient location with places easily accessible. Bugis junction was just about 7 mins walk away and just right next to the hotel were 7-eleven and hawker stalls. The room was a tad bit small with bulky furnitures, which made it quite tight to move around. Especially the bathroom door, feels like it’s always in the way. But other than that, everything’s good, clean and comfy still!

Heart of the city great location. Rooms are extremely small as all hotels in Singapore at centre place have same problem . Buffet breakfast is amazing. Even after buffet time is over they keep items as it is so that late comers get something to eat. 3 nights I stayed here and other 3 in York hotel . In York food was cleared from buffet before time . Ibis is exactly opposite of York . Though rooms are not as big as York people are very helpful and bathroom is user friendly for old age people. Only negative is Libby are extremely crowded and noisy like bus stations. Good breakfast option for Indians also.

    - Room is small, but it has everything I need. - Staff are accommodating and friendly. Reception staff are very helpful. - The restaurant at the ground floor is very nice too, food is good quality. (I only tried breakfast). I recommend their wheat toast, i don't know why, it's just how I like it. - Close to 3 MRT stations (Rocher, Bencoolen, Bugis). - Price is reasonable. - They have laundry room (SGD6 for a load). Not bad at all - One tiny issue: the floor under the bed is a bit dusty. Simply speaking, I have absolutely no complaint. I will surely choose them again.

Very central location which was convenient for exploring. Booked a three single bed room but it was a bit crammed for 3 people. Sufficient for just a place to sleep after exploring the city though.

Nice hotel not far from Raffles and Marina Bay Sands. Lots of places to shop and eat around and easy access to MRT (Subways). Staff are friendly and helpful.

fast response through email before the stay. The hotel itself is in good location, easy access to MRT station and bus stops, with 24-hour convenience store near the hotel. The room is well equipped and clean. The size is compact but with effective use of space. Friendly and helpful staff both in receptionist and the Taste Restaurant.

Loved our stay here. Room was cleaned daily. Breakfast items and drinks were restocked daily too. I dropped a note during booking that my husband’s birthday was coming up and they surprised us with a lovely cake. We were allowed to check in early and check out late. Overall, awesome experience. We would definitely stay here again.

Enjoyed the stay. Hotel location is good within walking distance to various malls. Happy with the service at front desk, bar and complimentary parking too. The only exception is the room air conditioner which did not work very well, which is important in this hot weather. Please do look into it. Other than that, all is good. Thank you.

We have stayed at Ibis Singapore on Bencoolen several times. The location is good, the value for money is fine and the staff do their best to be helpful. Overall, it is a satisfying place to use as a base to enjoy Singapore.

It was our wedding anniversary. They dressed up the bed, give us wine, cookies and fruit and sweet notes from the hotel. We have complimentary food on the ref. The hotel is near the food centers, 711, shopping centers, malls, bus station and train station. The staff are welcoming and friendly. Excellent experience overall.
