Fantastic position, 1 minute walking from the MRT and shops, bars, restaurants. My room was on a relatively low floor and looking onto the carp pond, so it felt a little bit dark. The furniture is worn out and the overall look would be updated. Bed is comfy and shower has great pressure. Would recommend and would stay again, (at a good rate).

This hotel is not good value for money. At the rate we paid, you expect some decency, and the Dorsett does not deliver. The hotel is dull and aged; the cleanliness lacking. If you look at walls or glass you can see smudges or stains. The elevator mirrors are only cleaned up to arms reach; beyond that, cloudy with grease. Check-in was average, but slow. If you have to apologize to every guest about the wait, something is wrong with the process. The room has mechanical faults, flickering light, stuck sliding door, air conditioning with apparently one setting; winter snowstorm. We set the temperature to it's highest, 30 degrees, and we're still shivering. Water takes a while to heat up, there is no bidet, the pillow feels like stiff cotton fluff, and two adults received one shower towel. Television is old, not a great picture, and has wires hanging out the bottom. We ordered food delivery which didn't come with cutlery. We called down to request some and were told since there is no live kitchen, they do not provide any. Consider carrying some disposable cutlery for your guests. Location is the only positive thing going for this place.

Last minute book , check in. Took longer time to check in, asked for me and wife id and even my kids id. Already provide them everything, took long time also to process. Went to our room, toilet quite dirty. Room too small didn't expect that from the pic looked big. Building outside look nice from inside the hotel run down 👎👎👎

Such a waste. The lobby is beautifully designed. Rooms are current with latest design too. Sadly that’s about it. The air along the corridor from the lift to the rooms is stale and musky. It is also warm. I’m guessing the management set it at 26 or 27C to save cost. Just being in the hotel also triggered my sinus allergy, whether it’s lobby or in the room. When was the last time management services their air ducts? Half of the pool has been cordoned off as well. No reasons why but it wasn’t very appealing to jump into the pool…

Stayed for a night. It was not a pleasant experience, mainly because I think the bathroom was poorly designed. (i) The floor (within the bathroom but outside the shower area) would easily flood whenever anyone took a bath. (ii) When I opened the shower door, there's not enough room to get out of the shower area without opening the bathroom door - I believe if the hotel redirect the door so that it opens to the opposite direction, it would solve the problem. The bed, tv, lift, and location are all okay.

This hotel wasn’t bad! I didn’t ~love~ my room and especially the bathroom, but staff was very friendly and helpful. First time I took a shower, a big lump of long black hair came out or the drain and it made me gag so hard. other than that it was fine. It is super hot in Singapore so it’s a bit frustrating that you can’t leave the AC on while you’re gone (it deactivates once you take out the room key card from the card slot

We checked in around 9 pm on 13 October 23, we waited about 15 minutes for check-in and disappointed that double beds were not available. When booking was made weeks ahead it was confirmed double beds for 2 rooms. So we ended with singlebeds for 3 nights. My room was 308, shower head was leaking, no plug point in the toilet for hair dryer except at the bedside where theres no mirror. No plugpoint at the desk area for charging of laptop. We were given pool towel in our room instead of the white towels. This room was not designed for long term stay, cupboard was small to hang or place our clothes, limited hangers provided. Gymnasium can be improved like ventilation . However the Sunday local food excursion made up for the disappointment we encountered. This is our first time having such a tour organisedby a hotel, and it was interesting. Some of the food served were cold or else it will be a perfect outing. The guides, Adrian & Coen were patient, friendly and excellent in every ways which make the tour joyful and memorable.

The room is very spacious, clean and comfortable. Swimming pool is very nice as well. The highlight is the food tour on Sunday at 10.30 complimentary for all guests. Very nice food and friendly tour guides staff from the hotel! Location is def top notch 1 Mrt stop from maxwell and connection to all tourist hotspot (outram park) ( exit 4 with lift directly to the building next door to the hotel door). ideal for short stay to easily access locations

Disappointing. The first room I was allocated was damp, dirty and mouldy. But there was no argument from reception when I asked for another room….they clearly knew there was a problem. My new room was OK, but dated and tatty. The hotel is in need of refurbishment. The hotel lacked basic facilities. No bar. Very limited catering. Food vending machines were available in reception but they only accepted cash. As I was travelling with just my credit cards, I couldn’t use them. I chose this hotel as I often stay at the Dorsett in London (which I would recommend). Sadly I can’t recommend this one. I won’t return.

The food tour on Sundays is well worth doing. A great authentic experience and the Dorsett tour guides are really knowledgeable and nice. Ken did an awesome job!

Way overpriced by any global standard Good location with interesting hip neighbourhood behind and mrt below. Ok service, though not enough staff so there is always a queue at reception which is wasting guests time. Rooms are small by any standard, especially for the exorbitant price. Worst of all the rooms are very poorly maintained, mouldy ceilings, badly cleaned bathrooms, peeling wallpaper, broken knobs. No room service. I'd stay again for the location on a business trip, but I honestly feel embarrassed and ashamed to have brought my wife here for a holiday weekend in Singapore. I'm deeply disappointed and would leave a lower rating but want to be fair to the staff and location. Management need to stop treating this place as a private cash cow and reinvest some money!

We stayed 1 Night in Dorsett Singapore. The staff was super friendly and allowed us to check in early! The Hotel itself has a great outdoor swimming pool as well as a Fitness Center! The Rooms are quite big, however, the Bathroom is super super tiny and doesn't really fit into the mood of the room. Sadly the room layout wasn't very great. The room was clean, has an AC, everything else was fine.Very comfy bed. The location is just awesome! Few meters to the Metro and 7/11 very near! Overall we really enjoyed the stay, just the bathroom threw us a bit off.

Nice hotel in the mid of the city.very nearby to the outram park metro station using which you can roam around whole Singapore. They organize Foodie tour every Sunday for the hotel guests to experience local cuisine and it was lot of fun. Loved it here.

Convenient location near China Town and the staff were outstanding making us feel so welcomed. We did the walking food tour which was great and enjoyed some lovely local food that the locals eat. How can you complain! It was for free. Definitely stay again.

Good value at a central location just steps away from entrance to MRT. We enjoyed the outdoor swimming pool. Our room was a bit dated but that was expected for the price. Nice staff.

King bed room was dirty while windows and floors were dirty. Washroom sink faucet was noticeably dirty. Location was prime as it was along the metro and near a few good restaurants and bakeries. They were good distractions to get outside as it was difficult staying inside the hotel.

Great experience at this hotel. Got the room with bathtub and the atmosphere of the room is just so comfortable. Food there isn’t hard to find too as it is in the city area, there was lots of food nearby!

Dorsett is a fantastic hotel in Singapore. The stand out is the experience that the staff provided. After an overnight flight everything possible was done by Irene and Hanis for our comfort, which made a big difference to our stay in Singapore. Our flight home was late at night and the staff looked after our bags and some fragile gifts. Thank you!

Wish to commend on Irene at reception who is very helpful, pleasant and very efficient. My booking dates differs between agent and reservation. She was able to resolve this very quickly the day before I checked in. The bed pillow and room is clean and she helps me to request a room to ease my sensitive nose. Well done Irene for your excellent service.

The location is good, it's right next to a metro station. However, the staff is not friendly at all. I was staying there with my friend who is vegetarian and allergic to gluten. Breakfast was included in our booking. The first morning we were told they had nothing for my friend but they'd try to get something for the next morning. They prepared nothing... A very unpleasant person just prepared a salad from the salad bar... and she sort of aggressively tossed the plate in front of my friend. She spoke up against the unfriendly behavior, but no corrective measure was taken. Later, we received an email from the hotel management apologizing for not having been able to provide proper breakfast... We reached out to agoda and shared the email from the hotel. The call center called the hotel, but they refused the waiver/ compensation. One thing is sure: they are not customer-oriented at all and the level of their hospitality is way below the expectations for this money... Wondering how this hotel can still do business without the proper attitude.

Apologies for this delayed review. Huge thanks to the wonderful team, especially Anthea, Jermaine, Irene and Manager Rowell for their excellent customer service. We were here twice during October and November and had a very comfortable stay, with both early and late check ins that worked incredibly well for us due to their generosity. The pool on the 3rd floor is a welcome retreat after the warm days and the location is perfect, very central and literally above the railway station, also close to a wonderful selection of restaurants, cafes and hawker centres, a very lovely stay Thank you

Rowell really gave us the best service. Thank you very much for his check in service. I wish him endless happiness. Lastly, thank you very much. I want to visit this hotel again next time.

The service is nice, we had foodie tour on Sunday and got try to some local foods here. The location is strategic, we can find the nearest MRT station and bus stop. Its also near to Chinatown and other places. We can find food and shops easily.

👎Clean 👍🏻Service 👍🏻 Travel The room is quiet old and dirty (a lot of dust). It cannot meet the criteria to be 4 stars hotel. I give 1-2 stars for current quality. With this price, this hotel is too expensive. If they can renovate, change carpet, and clean the dust on headboard, nightstand. It would be much much better 👍🏻The good thing is comfortable to travel: nearby underground and can walk around many cafe and restaurants

Such an amazing experience! on the foodie tour, we discovered so much about the area we were staying at and ate so much good food! You’ll definitely get full, the staff was amazing and was such a great way to experience Singapore!

Nice hotel, very convenient location. Food tour arranged by the hotel was the highlight of the trip. Dennis, Steven and Irene were great tour guides. The food was a walking tour to near by local spots near China Town.

The hotel located right at the edge of historical China town and besides the MTR station outham. Room size is decent and finishing is fine for a 4 star hotel. The reason I chose the hotel is the convenience. After i stayed few days i found the house keeping is really lacking no towels no refill soap bottles, no vacuuming, i have to call the front desk to have them delivered but it happened few days in a row already so i am disappointed. So far it's only the location of the hotel entice me to come back.

Cleanliness: 4/5 (mostly due to old furniture) Space: 4/5 (we got a 20m2 room) but due to the nice arrangements, it still looks quite spacious. Amenity: typical hotel accommodations Some recommendations for improvement: 1. Opening hours for the public facilities (e.g. pool, gym, roof top garden) all were closed too early - 8pm. So imagine you want a relax night at the pool after a day of activities, you can’t. 2. Hygiene products: too little potion, while shampoo and body wash came in huge communal size so it didn’t feel fresh or nice smell.

This is perfect place for us. Connected to MRT so it was very easy to go anywhere in Singapore. And there are so many restaurants near hotel. Swimming pool is long and nice to sit on chair.

Stayed for 3 nights. Hotel reception customers service is superb. Room and facilities clean and nice. Love the unique room door bell. Dorsett hotel location is great. Only few minutes walking distance to metro station which only 3 stops to Orchard and couple stops to Sentosa. Plus also few minutes walk to Chinatown, Chinatown huge food court and heaps of restaurants and cafes near by too. Too many options and choices to eat. While I was there, they have this Foodie Tour which held every Sunday from 10.30am till 1pm max 12 persons only with 2 tour guide. Managed to sign up in time and I got to try some of Singapore local foods and drinks. Plus it is all FREE by Dorsett Singapore. Was told this initiative started 3 months ago. What a great way to try local delicacies. Reception served by Rowell and Foodie Tour Guide by Jenny and Adrian were superb and friendly. Great customer service

Location is strategic, just on top of Tj Pagar MRT. A lot of good food centres, restaurants and bars around this hotel. The room is quite spacious and clean but the bathroom is quite small.

Stayed at Dorsett Room with the Foodcation package. It came with $60 voucher at selected restaurants. The selected restaurants are pretty good and we enjoyed the food. But the room is not as clean as expected. We found chips pieces on the desk table from the previous occupier. The looks of the room is also quite old. Service is pretty good and staffs are attentive. The swimming pool and gym are good and it's shared with the residences. Location is great since it's nearby the MRT and a lot of eateries nearby.

Rooms as great. But actually there is incident which is the electric is on and off for whole night. And i cant sleep. And there was no compliment or something that make customer happy. Seriously they gave us unlogic reason for us.

We had 4N/5D stay here. Great location with MRT station which is about 2 minutes away , good cafes and walking distances to Chinatown. Friendly staffs, we had some issues with the room and approached Irene at reception , she sorted it out immediately . Kudos to her. Will definitely recommend this place and come back again.
