Fantastic
location,
my
family
used
to
stay
here
way
back
when
it
was
still
the
Holiday
Inn.
The
lobby
is
nice,
bright
and
clean.
The
rooms
are
still
rather
small
compared
to
American
and
Australian
standards,
but
larger
than
most
standard
Singaporean
hotel
rooms.
They
were
clean
and
comfortable
which
is
all
we
needed
during
this
stay.
The
daily
breakfast
included
was
a
very
pleasant
surprise,
with
many
options
to
choose
from.
We
especially
loved
the
chicken
congee,
made
to
order
eggs,
local
dishes,
cheese
board,
yogurt,
fruit
and
pastries.
We
wish
the
juices
weren't
so
sweet
though.
The
staff
we
interacted
with
were
all
lovely,
super
friendly
and
helpful.
I've
stayed
at
several
hotels
in
Singapore
throughout
my
life
including
Marina
Bay
Sands,
the
Marriott
Tang
Plaza
(Dynasty),
Shangri-la,
Orchard
hotel,
Hilton
and
many
others
and
for
the
price
point,
location,
service
and
comfort,
I
would
happily
stay
at
the
Royal
Plaza
on
Scotts
again.
The
only
complaint
we
had
were
some
of
the
tacky
guests,
there
was
a
group
of
Chinese
guests
(yes
they
were
Chinese
as
my
sister
speaks
mandarin)
that
came
back
to
the
rooms
next
door
loud
and
drunk
on
our
last
night
and
woke
us
up
at
2:30am,
they
were
banging
doors,
yelling,
laughing
loudly
and
even
after
we
confronted
them
and
asked
them
to
please
quiet
down
they
still
went
on
with
their
noise
for
about
an
hour.
They
were
very
inconsiderate
and
rude,
we
had
an
early
flight
the
next
morning
and
in
hindsight
we
should've
called
down
to
the
front
desk
to
report
the
unacceptable
and
inappropriate
behavior.
Some
people
just
lack
basic
manners
and
courtesy
unfortunately.
