Very nice staff whoever I met and spoke at the hotel, thanks to Alvin Ang for smooth check in, patient on my questions and for very nice room. And appreciate the lady who happened to come out from the room right in front of gym around 5:10 pm on 16/09/21 and she saw me and helped me when I needed help to take out room card which is stuck together with gym card which make me cannot tap into the gym. She helped me with it ๐Ÿฅฐ Fabulous hotel, very nice to stay but breakfast a little bit pricey. Overall *Superb*

Upon arrival, the way to the hotel reception is a complete maze. Requested for a bathtub but the request wasn't accommodated which we do understand. There is constant drilling in the hotel not sure for what which defeats the purpose of booking a staycay to rest & the rooms are dimly lit which is totally opposite from what is advertised, feels kinda ghosty. The carpet near the TV was also wet which made us felt a little gross as we were unclear about what happened to that area prior to us occupying the room. The toilet is terrible with low water pressure and the toiletries are terrible as well. Unacceptable for a 5 star hotel, will never ever go back again. Not worth the money.

I am writing this letter after staying at this hotel on 21 Feb 2022. This letter is about the poor condition of customer service with high customer dissatisfaction. I chose it after reviewing your website which portrays a completely different picture compared to reality. Ever since I checked in, my experience has always been the worst. I had planned to chill at the hotel enjoying the aircon and watching television but the TV channel wasn't even working. I rang your reception to request for assistance but receptionist said there is currently no network throughout the whole hotel therefore the TV is unable to run even local channels. I then proceed for my shopping and dinner with assumption that the network issue will be resolved by the time I return and to my surprise, the 'network' issue is still unresolved even after hours. I tried calling receptionist but the staff doesn't even pick up the call. I never thought I would face a network issue on such a 4 star property. Have television that does not work or does not have the network to work at all! For the breakfast served on the 22 Feb 2022, the food is cold , coffee is not even warm. In short, your facility in your hotel has completely ruined our staycation. I want to encourage you to improve your network service as I donโ€™t want anyone to ruin his or her vacation staying here. After hearing from one of my friends I had my positive impression of your hotel but itโ€™s totally ruined now. Regards, Linda

Excellent hotel. They are currently going through renovations, but this was hardly an inconvenience to our stay. The rates are a deal for the quality of the hotel and amenities right in the heart of Orchard. The best part of our stay was the housekeeping staff (22nd floor)- so friendly and accommodating to our constantly changing morning schedule. Highly recommend that you check this hotel out!

The hotel is undergoing renovations so itโ€™s a bit of a maze to get to your room. Youโ€™ve gotta enter the shopping centre lifts, get off at floor 5 and then walk down a narrow walk way to another set of lifts. There are 6 lifts but it seemed like 2-3 were regularly isolated or out of service so youโ€™d sometimes be waiting ages. Overall a very good location though, and weโ€™d probably chose to stay here again.

The time we went, they were having renovations. It was really difficult to locate the hotel and there were no signage at all. We had to call the hotel to get directions. Check in was fine, however, the cleanliness of the room was bad. There were ants in the toilet bowl and dust on the lights by the mirror. We told the front desk twice about it and still, nothing was done. They gave us a cake as we were celebrating our Anniversary and offered to change our room. At first, we requested for late check out, but, the front desk told us check out by 11am or additional charges will be made. End up, we asked for late check out instead of changing our room.

Located at heart of Orchard, shopping district. Good place to shop and eat, good rest point in between activities. Place under renovation, COVID-19 measures in place at time of visit. Rooms in good condition though feels dated. Need to book swimming pool for usage, unable to use during stay.

Hotel under renovation. The noise level is definitely out of acceptable guideline. The drilling sounds and other sounds are like 24/7, which make my whole staying experience very unpleasant. Why the hotel management allow drilling works to be carried out from evening to early morning. Canโ€™t sleep at all!

Check-in was quite fast (despite there was a long queue-due to promotion) Waited about half an hour and we got offered a free upgrade of room (The room we booked only left with single bed as we opt for queen bed) the upgraded room which does not come with a bathtub (sadly). The room is not too bad, quite nicely renovated and their TV is IPTV- which able to screen mirror your phone/ ipad (It doesn't work on me). Been staying in many 5 stars hotel and I was surprise when I request for ice bucket.. That I have to pay for ice bucket which cost $6/ bucket, usually is complimentary?? But for the price I'm paying for, overall I had a pleasant stay with my partner.

The lobby of the hotel is at the 5th floor. The lower 4 floors are the Mandarin Gallery, basically a shopping area. The reception area is large with good space and a foreign exchange located within the waiting area. Staffs are friendly and unhurried to those they are providing a service for, so if you are in line, you may have to wait a while. The room is large. I was upgraded to superior deluxe and the room measured 28sqm. It has a good space and a bathtub in the toilet. There are two washbasin so there is no need to take turns for morning face wash. Bed is comfortable though rather stiff but it goes well with the soft pillows. Hotel is in the heart of Orchard Road, just next to Ngee Ann City and opposite the Apple Store. There are several restaurants within the hotel and the well known ones include Chatterbox, known for its chicken rice. A rather pleasant location with good vibes and very accessible both with busses and subway.

Booked and stayed in Mandarin Orchard Singapore during the month of November whilst hotel was undergoing major renovations. Check In: 0/5 (Would give it a negative if I could) Disappointing check-in system where staff doesn't seem to care, as seen from two entire rooms filled with guest waiting and waiting. Hotel states check-in time at 2pm, came a little earlier (checked in at 1:30pm) as I've read numerous reviews about how the lobby was hard to find, however was only told that my room was ready at around 3pm, god knows how long others have waited. Male non-counter staff that are assisting check-in are completely unhelpful as when questioned, would simply tell you to wait (for the sms). Journey to the check-in area and "lobby" is unsightly for a 5 star hotel; narrow passages, white scaffolding serving as passageways, simply ew. Extreme red flag: I literally have never seen a hotel that makes their guest(s) wait past their allocated check-in time, much less the majority of their guests. This experience have left such a bad taste in my mouth that as someone who never wrote a review; I specifically wrote one to talk about this unpleasant experience. Pool: 1/5 The swimming pool is not under renovation, however the area around it is. It is extremely unpleasant to swim while works are being carried out around you; feels like you're swimming in a construction site instead of a hotel. Location: 5/5 Located in the heart of Orchard/Somerset, numerous food and shopping options are available. Extremely good location. Room: 5/5 + USB plugs were offered + Managed to chrome-cast the TV (ports were accessible) - Doesn't seem to be a fridge/cooler. Breakfast: 4/5 Breakfast was average when it comes to hotel breakfasts, serving your standard american/asian delights. Hotel didn't score full marks as the ham was especially tough and tasted like sand. All in all, nothing much to shout about. Generally, hotel received a subpar rating primarily due to the absolute horrendous check-in experience expected of a 5 star hotel. It is sad to see that a hotel of such prestige do not even have a dedicated entrance (having to enter through a mall, really?) nor have their check-in lobby easily accessed (switching of lifts, walking through passageways). All in all, Mandarin Orchard failed to make a good first impression, which I believe is crucial to every visitor wanting a break from the norm. I would NOT recommend Mandarin Orchard Singapore to anyone looking for a luxury vacation expected from a 5 star hotel - You will be sorely disappointed.

Spent my bday weekend with Mandarin, overall stay was pleasant and really value for money. The hotel is currently undergoing renovation and they are slated to convert to Hilton wef Mar 22. I believe they have adjusted the prices (?) so do adjust your expectations as well. My room was on the 26th floor, no bath tub sadly but I couldn't hear the reno at all. Room is clean, view is great. Albeit there were some other minor inconveniences - only 2 lifts are in use. Waiting time during peak hours can get long, might also have to wait multiple rounds for the lift to come again since it is too full to squeeze in. No breakfast buffet - food is delivered to your room. Check in process also took awhile. But other than that, I enjoyed my stay. All the staff were courteous and Ms Kana who handled my check in was really sweet. :)

Check in was a nightmare. The entrance was difficult to find, despite alr reading abt it in the reviews. The wait to check in took 90 min. When figuring the system out, the staff kept hurrying us, asking me to leave and go to the waiting room while my husband queued, despite me sharing that i couldn't leave yet as i needed to pass him the booking voucher. While i searched for the voucher, he just repeatedly asked my husband to walk away and sit at the end of the rows and for me to leave the place. There was no one behind us in the queue, so i wonder what the rush was. The long wait drained the last of my patience, and from the unhappy complaints of the others in the waiting room, it was a common gripe. A good part of our afternoon was wasted. My husband likened the queuing process to a much longer vaccination queueing process, and thay he felt like an animal being corralled to different areas as time passed. The check in hassle kind of started off the staycation on a sour note. Then we found that there were no rooms with king size bed and a bath tub, even though that was what we booked. So we had only a double single bed room. Well. The view at the 15th floor was of a wall of the next building, so nothing impressive there. When we called for a corkscrew, it took 30 min and a reminder call to get it. The express checkout on the television couldnt work as well. When headed to the reception area to check out, we waited at the lift area for more than 10 min (we timed this in our incredulity) because no lifts came by, and when one finally did, it was packed and we couldn't board. On the other hand, the room was spacious, decent, and there was a bathtub, as detailed in the booking. Things were clean. There was no coffee machine and just one packet of coffee each. But they had coffee, at least. The bed was comfortable, sheets were smooth, etc. The gym was large, not at all crowded at 9am, and had many cool machines. So overall, i would avoid staying here whilst renovations are ongoing. It didn't feel like a 5 star hotel, and many boutique and 2-3 star hotels actually provided us with much better service and often, views.

Stayed in an executive suite for a night. The staff are great, very friendly and helpful, and they prepared a cake for my wife's birthday. Evie in particular went the extra mile to remember our names (which she used upon arrival the first time she saw us). The room is nice, comfortable and functional and we had a nice living area and a beautiful view toward the south. Would love to have given a 5-star rating except that the club lounge (the main reason we decided to stay here) is being renovated as of now till end April. They did provide a temporary lounge on level 5 (beside Triple Three) and upgraded us by way of compensation, but the experience (and in particular the view) is just not the same. Still, the drinks, service and food at the lounge were excellent. Hopefully we will be able to see the actual lounge the next time we come back.

5 star hotel standard for customer service. The reception, concierge, cleaner staff are courteous and polite. Gave us a free upgrade to a bigger room even though I've only requested for a twin room. The room was big, comfortable and cozy. Thank you Mandarin Orchard Singapore.

I understand that the place is undergoing some renovations. But the layout is so confusing! Insufficient signs to direct guests to the right place. Got lost just trying to find the correct lifts. Checking-in took really long (at least 15 mins), not too sure if it's 'cos of the covid-19 safety measures though. Other than that, the room was big and clean. No complaints there.

The 3 stars is because long hours of check in (2 hours). But luckily there is express check out. This hotel is still under renovation and kinda noisy. Luckily I was able to request a quiet room away from the renovation site. Interior wise, TV is not located at the central, otherwise the room is spacious with great views.

The hotel is very brilliant! The staff do everything best for your needs. The breakfast is amazing. I would go for the superior deluxe rooms since they have been renovated recently. But the regular deluxe rooms are great too. Only problem is that the sinks and showers drain slowly.

Hotel staff were kind and service was amazing. Location is at the heart of orchard with easy access to many malls, Takashimaya, near mrt. Many different food options and shopping areas around. Staff was flexible and allowed us to check in early. Room was clean and bathroom was very spacious. Celebrated my anniversary during my stay and the hotel kindly offered a complimentary cake. Swimming pool is basic but wouldn't matter much if you're not a pool person. Overall a great stay, would come back again!

Check-in was fast and staff were friendly. Our booked room was still getting cleaned despite us checking in at 3+ when the listed check-in time was 2 pm. Got offered a free upgrade of rooms which does not come with a bathtub. Room did not smell pleasant, furniture and set up were old. Sink and other stuff were of age too as they were stained. Swimming pool was barely a pool. Just a very small space with a shallow pool - more for kids to play. Feels like they had that small area just so they could have it featured as them having a pool. Dining credits of 80 at Chatterbox was disappointing. You could essentially only order two main dishes and no drinks because of the added taxes. Food wasn't great either. Breakfast was worse. Coffee and tea tasted like water, scrambled eggs tasted like they have gone bad. Will not go back again. Price of rooms were not justified - felt deceived by the amount of good reviews and their good reputation.

Amazing experience and worth the price. Yup, it was a bit noisy due to the renovation but so far I was happy my stay there. It could be a little inconvenience to access to the hotel but once you know where to get in, everything were fine! Will definitely make my trip back there!

Wonder why this 5-star hotel has been selling rooms at an all-time low price? The hotel is going undergoing some pretty major works! The makeshift check-in area is small and the process messy. Due to the attractive pricing, people are flocking in, unaware of the impending line (literally only 1 line for checking in) and service unbefitting of a 5-star hotel. The check-in area also doubles up as the front desk/concierge/customer service counter - youโ€™ll witness a constant stream of enquiry-making (read: complaining) guests (which unsurprisingly slows down the check in process). The discount comes with a side of bad customer experience.

Horrible decision ever to book this hotel for our anniversary! The carpark was full and had to park at mandarin gallery instead. Had to walk a huge maze just to reach mandarin orchard reception. Upon reaching me and my baby were sent to the waiting room while my husband was caught in the snake like queue to check in. My baby was so hungry and cold and the check in took 1 hour!! I have never in my life waited this long for a check in! The renovation noise was extremely loud and ongoing. I booked for a King size bed and only got 2 singles. Its our anniversary! Extremely bad choice to pick this hotel. Never am I setting foot here anymore

Hotel is pretty old and rundown.Wall paper is not glued properly;thumb prints on the hall mirror, the paint on the tv unit and the paint on bathroom door is almost gone;found a hair under the phone;black permanent stains on the bathtub;upon check out found a huge tear in the quilt which the maid tried to hide by flipping on the under side.Guess housekeeping is pretty slack in their duties.Bathroom is old fashioned with shower curtains with a rectangular bathtub.Mini fridge is warm, not cold, unable to chill beverages.Room service is currently 50% but served in plastic takeaways boxes and disposable cutlery.Hotel is currently under going major renovations with noise level till 2000 hours.Only plus points are centralised location in Orchard Road and individual air conditioning control in the room.Room rates are currently 50% cos of the renovations.Convenient for shopping only, not a great room to chill.Hotel really need a major renovations in the rooms....

The first time i had to transfer 3 lifts to get to a lobby. And check-in took TWO HOURS. Queue management for check-in is appalling. There should be a queue system in place during peak seasons. Some suggestions are staggered check-in timings, allow guests to draw queue numbers and text them when it is near their turn. It doesnโ€™t take a genius to solve this issue. Buck up!

  • 1/5 Jusfix J. 2 years ago on Google
Carpark small and limited. Hotel staff didn't inform about the ongoing renovation and limited parking lot. Not enough sign to lead to lobby. Due to smm measures, they segregate queues but the queues were not well observed by the staff. Everything was in a mess. Check in is slow. About 40pax in queue and all other pax were in the holding area. Very disappointed with the way they managed their hotel guest. 6th Hotel I stayed in and the worst so far.

Booked โ€œrun of houseโ€ on agoda and the room didnโ€™t disappoint nonetheless. It was big and spacious and clean. Stayed on the 9th floor and the room came with bathtub, satellite tv (can bring your laptop, switch for better experience). Check in was okay to me as they seemed to have heard the bad reviews over here and catered extra staffs for the check in. Gym was good with free weights and pool was okay. What really amazed me was the all the staffs who were really friendly and welcoming. The only bad thing is the renovation but the only hassle it brought to use was the need to transfer lift once to get to our room, other than that, renovation sound was really minimal.

Stayed for one Night in their Premier room. Big, Spacious. Great full view. stayed on the 32nd floor. Went during the weekends. Check-in took around 20mins as we need to fill up some health declaration. Hotel is undergoing Renovations. Doesn't affect our stay. Entrance to the hotel is via Mandarin gallery, take the lift to 5th floor then walk thru the renovations and to the 8th floor where the Reception lobby and concierge is. Great stay, enjoyable stay. Thank you

4/1/22 - 6/1/22 (2 nights) booking through booking.com (2 nights with breakfast) Very disappointed. The room is clean n very nice view (35th floor) and good location. But the service and the system is lousy. 1) The main entrance for hotel was block due to renovation so spent almost 30mins looking for lobby to check in. 2) check in time suppose to be 2pm but waited almost 1hr. When reached my turn, was offered another room if I donโ€™t want to wait. If I want to wait Iโ€™ll have to wait for at least 1hr 30mins. ( not sure What Iโ€™m paying for) so I refused to wait because Iโ€™m hungry havenโ€™t had lunch and already 315pm. 3) was told that the usage of swimming pool need booking but today the bookings are all fully booked and the next day the pool will be close because of renovation (then~) 4) room was clean but the aircon can hear clacking sound. Despite staying at level 35 I can still hear the renovation noise. 5) I booked a 2 nights stay with breakfast each day but only receive 1 breakfast which on the 5/1/22. Iโ€™m supposed to get breakfast at 9.30-1000am today (the timing slot I chose). When I called the customer service at 9.50am she nonchalantly said to wait because I still have 8mins to 1000am. A few minutes after I hanged the phone they called me back said I did not submit the breakfast paper which I DID AT 5PM the day before. I clearly remembered the 2 uncles (concierge) who received the paper said to each other to check on the date and time on the breakfast slip. And then they claimed that I did not submit the slip. At 1015 they said they will expedite the breakfast for me. And checking out time is 11am? How am I supposed to gobble down my food? This is what tick me off. Iโ€™m intended to give maybe 3stars rating but because of this and the staff attitude who answered the phone nonchalantly (ask me to wait 8mins while actually they lost the breakfast slip) I change my mind to 1 star. And I donโ€™t think the money $646 I paid for 2 nights and breakfast each day is worth it.

Booked a staycay on 31st Dec via Klook and it was great! Request to get back the same room as my previous stay and managed to get it. Room was spacious, and toilet was big w a bathtub. The bed was super comfy and we had a good night sleep. Breakfast was great too! Good location but hotel was undergoing reno so can be abit noisy during the day. Will come back for more!

Attended a wedding recently and I believe Mandarin Orchard could do better. The wedding coordinator could have taken more initiative instead and guided the bride and groom so that they would feel a little more comfortable and less stressed. Just my 2 cents worth from a bystanderโ€™s perspective. Food served was ok, service was ordinary. Used to be a huge fan of the mandarin group but sadly their standards have dipped. Do hope to see them improve.

Checking in was a long wait. Badly managed by the hotel staff. Checking in was akin to visiting a doctor at the polyclinic. Long queue all the way to the poorly ventilated lift lobby with absolutely no SMM measures in place.

Though the hotel is under major renovation, as its being taken over by the Hilton group, the Premium room that we had was excellent ๐Ÿ‘Œ. The current room rate was too good to be true so we had to stay. It didn't disappoint.

Check-in, queuing and waiting area system can be done better. No proper signage on where the guest supposed to go. It was very chaotic and doesnt look professional with the status of the hotel. I would like to praise the abang for being calm even with the large crowd (im guessing as its PH; 9Aug2021 busy rsvp) but someone should assist him as he is just as confused as i am ๐Ÿ˜…. Overall good stay. Assigned to a new renovated room which is spacious and nice. Will give it another try perhaps when its fully renovated and Covid-19 SMM is at ease.

Before it is due to be taken over by Hilton Singapore Orchard on March 2022, Mandarin Orchard was having a promo so it was a deal not to be missed. With the great location and low price, it allowed for a wonderful staycation. A great regret that the earlier SG$100nett per night offer was missed The 3 different rooms types of Deluxe, Superior Deluxe and Premier were the same size but with some differences in the rooms. The room with the best bathroom is the Premier Room with the wider and longer bathtub versus the older and smaller bathtub in the other 2 types. Due to COVID-19 Safe Management Measures, the Pool is only open to 5 persons per 1 hr time slot. However, the pool is only opened from 7am to 7pm daily and closes whenever there is rain. The gym is opened for longer from 6am to 9pm but is limited to only 2 person in there per 1 hr time slot. Also, users for either the pool or gym must be registered staying guests, not visiting guests. Breakfast was originally at the Chatterbox restaurant and it was awful with the food being cold and salty. When it was closed for renovation in preparation for the upcoming takeover, In-Room Breakfast was offered for those with breakfast inclusive in their bookings. Although the breakfast items for In-Room is similar, surprisingly, it tastes much better. The best of which was the Nasi Goreng Istimewa with Triple Sunny Sideup Egg. Yummy! Overall it was a great stay at a hotel with wonderful service and spacious room space at an affordable rate. Docking one star because of the shower over bath setup, which is very dangerous as it is a tripping, falling and slippery hazard. With prices for Hilton when it takes over the 2 towers showing up on the Hilton website already, this may be the last stay at this building given the high prices. Those are definitely prices that are all out to make up for the losses of these 2 years of COVID-19.

It was like a maze when we arrived at mandarin orchard when I drove here. The lifts that connect to hotel lobby are confusing to be honest maybe due to the renovation. Upon arrival at the reception area , we waited quite long for the check in which is something I don't really like. The thing that I am most upset was I called the reception that I needed 2 more bottles of water and to my surprise that the receptionist say it is chargeable if we have already have 2 bottles of water in our room already. I was shocked the fact that a five star hotel like mandarin orchard would do that. I stayed before so many hotels and I never encountered this before. On the following day I called the house keeping to rearrange the house keeping timing and requested for another 2 bottles of water. To my surprise when I asked the house keeping staff about whether do they charge for the water if we were to request 2 more daily. The lady replied using the exact words : "sir on the bottle it says complimentary , so it's not complimentary." After this water saga , I am really confused with the service standard that mandarin orchard hotel that is going to transit to "Hilton orchard hotel" . Overall I would say I wouldn't choose mandarin orchard hotel again for my staycation.

Tbh, after reading all these scary reviews, I was very apprehensive about the stay. But luckily, my fears were unfounded. Yes, there is some inconvenience due to the renovation but overall, for the price paid, really cannot complain so much for staying in the heart of orchard. It's the staff who are the stars in this hotel. We stayed here about 2 weeks ago for 2 nights to celebrate my son's birthday. I think check in times take a while but ours was a breeze and we were served by a immaculate and impeccable Ms Kana, who hails from Kyoto. There Wass a senior staff named David, slightly elderly but still sprightly and such a joy. He wheeled my dad in the wheelchair and ensured we were well taken care of. Rooms are spacious and we were on a high floor with a fantastic view. However, to me personally I felt the rooms fell short of the 5 star standard. TVs are very small. The hotel also shouldn't be charging for ice. another thing that amused me was that I had to produce my son's id to prove it was his birthday. I guess the hotel had to do their due diligence. overall it was a good stay.

Mandarin Orchard is a good choice for a staycation. For tourists who like to spend time shopping, its located smack in the middle of the prime shopping district. Service is fantastic and rooms well appointed. Do note that the hotel's restaurants, gym and pool are closed recently as they are transitioning to Hilton Group. Breakfast is delivered to the room nowadays, and they serve a mean breakfast that is very satisfying.

Checked in on friday 20/08 and checked out on 22/08. It was an unpleasant stay there.. Ask for room service on Saturday, a Chinese lady came in and clear stuffs. No standards of clearing rooms as in, u should tidy bed first before handling toilet stuffs. But... Instead of tidy up our bed, she went to toilet and handle those stuffs there (which we didn't see what she's doing inside). Wearing the same hand gloves (used to clean up toilet) and tidy our bed. So, where's the hygiene? And worse is, she don't even bother to clear the used plates and cutlery until I told her to. She can even ask me, do I still need it. What? Regardless of if we still need the plates or not, u gotta change, isn't it??? Wondering, your staffs trained?? And I don't understand why we gotta pay additional if we wanna to have a ice bucket. To be honest, we have been to few hotels to enjoy, Mandarin orchard is the first to ask payment for ice bucket. So sorry to say, it's so terrible and won't be going over again...

Avoid at all cost! Absolutely terrible customer service. We had requested for an early check-in but were told that we have to pre-block the date by paying the full price for an additional night. When we tried to negotiate the situation and asked if we can simply pay a fee for early check-in, they repeatedly mentioned that failure to do so will result in our booking being cancelled because they are just so busy. (and there will probably be guests who will pay for the room that we free up anyway). Practically forcing us to pay for an additional full night. Just 3 days before our trip! This goes to show how much they "care" about their guests. Inflexible check-in policy and approach to special requests. An extremely unpleasant experience dealing with their service staff.

I was here with my wife for our wedding anniversary celebration. The room is clean and comfortable. We were welcomed with some nice decoration on our bed. They also surprised us with a complimentary chocolate cake (and it tastes great). A special thanks for the management team for the arrangement.

We went during Covid phase 2 heightened alert. Access to the swimming pool, gym and restaurants was not available. The room was spacious, albeit dated. The complimentary cake was of a generous size and delectable. The staycation could have been better if not for the restrictions under the pandemic.

Stayed there on a weekday and was granted early check-in and check out! Club lounge receptionist Elvie was very attentive and accomodated all our requests. Was given a premier room with MBS view and bathtub. View at the club lounge was stunning and food and service were great, definitely worth booking a room with lounge access.

We loved it!!! Yes and we WILL come back again. The point here is that it is exactly in the heart of Orchard. On top of that, Taka, Paragon, Cineleisure is seriously jz 1 minute away. In terms on the topic of location, we loved it! But that is just the icing on the cake. We have been to several other hotels for staycay but this takes the cake. From customer service, staff, room, to even d entrance, this tops it all. If u do see our many posts n reviews, hotels will get 5 stars but those would be just d icings of the cake. Reason why we are so enchanted, -Room size -staff checks with u if u look lost/need help -directional signs are superbly clear -wide room corridors -systematic entry check ins -clear and proper processes -direct link to the mall -and many more. We are totally taken by the level of professionalism that ALL staff potrayed during our stay, be it housekeeping, concierge and others. It is really a great place to be at. We also do know that there are constructions on-going but the standard level is triple thumbs up (if possible), maybe because they know of challenges that customers face during contructions, thats why it is heartening to be given top level service. Do note that lifts are not directly connected to the reception area and u may get confused, and that is why they have clear signages. Fyi, we had gone thru stays with hotels having reno before too, and believe us, bad service is an understatement there. But probably we can pin one negative point there. That is the crowd management in lift. A clear signage for hotel guests to take up only at most 4 pax. But that is just a small improvement works to be considered.. So ya, kudos to ALL staff there.. cheers!! #mandarinorchard #orchard #orchardroad #orchardrd #piquedwanderer #famwithsten

how is it that guests are not allowed to use your swimming pool when they are unvaccinated? since this is allowed in Singapore public pools, how can you set your own rules and disallow unvaccinated people to use your pool? we are paying the same amount of money. definitely going to case and small claims for this.

โš ๏ธ Renovation on-going for their rebranding has been put on their website and even all ard OTA thus those who are fussy about dust/noise better just avoid. Stayed few days ago, booked last minute. Was also afraid of the noise/dust in the beginning after I saw the reviews, but come on, they lower the price of the hotel already?! Not as bad as I thought it will be. Email the reservation before my stay but they wasn't as friendly also. But when I check in, Kana, the guest reception was welcoming and try to meet my request for bath tub. Gave me one too, check in was quick for mine. There is an express check out at level 8 beside the lift lobby (for CC deposit) for those who do not want to wait and Q again to check out just opt to pay CC! LOBBY: Level 5 as seen from the photo is where I believe all the Renovation I heard when I was there. It was just a small path that you pass by. Don't think anyone wanna hang ard there. U have to pass by here to get to another lift to level 8 where they relocated their check-in counter. ROOM: Got a high floor (weekday stays) with a very nice MBS view. It is a newly refurbished room too I believe. Bed was comfy but pillow was quite soft to my liking. It is also big enough with sofa, table. Even gave TWG teas. SERVICE: all the persons I met was welcoming and friendly. They try to help as much as they can too! Plus point for this! ๐Ÿ‘ Facilities: there is a small swimming pool (currently it's 8 pax/timeslot?) and gym. I did not try them. BREAKFAST: for mine, there is only 4 choices to choose from at Chatterbox. Food was not bad, we esp like the chicken porridge (since its from the famous exp chicken rice) but the coffee and tea was too watery. Not nice. Chatterbox also looks "old" like a canteen. Hope they also refurbished this part before their rebrand on 1st Jan next year. Will not mind to come stay again next year, to see how are things like.

Booked a mystery room and received one on the 23rd floor with great views! Great service by the Reception too. The room is newly renovated and has amenities such as SmartTV and USB chargers. Well designed and appointed, would return again. Thanks for the enjoyable stay!

No aircon in lobby at check in. Queued all the way to the next in line for check in before I was brought up to the 8th floor to join another queue to check in. Painfully waste of time. I feedbacked to the staff and told them they should take the people at the back to join this new queue upstairs and the staff argued to say that the people at the back may complain that the line is shorter upstairs?! Well I could have saved 30mins if your brilliant staff didnโ€™t bring me upstairs to join a new queue when I was already next in line to check in. Common sense peeps, queue management isnโ€™t that hard really.

Queuing for check-in is in order, ample waiting areas. Room is adequately equipped and cosy. The Top of the M exclusive lounge is a plus as the food and view are good and enjoyable.

5 star experience no doubt. We stayed at level 12 but there were renovation works going on, on the 5th floor. As they are upgrading, the renovation works are ongoing for 24hrs. This resulted in some buzzing or grinding sound that could be heard from my hotel room and toilet. Initially we called the front desk to ask them to stop the construction as it was close to 10pm at night. However we were told that the renovation works are slated to be ongoing. Then they offered to change our room to another room at the highest floor. This was a pleasant surprise and it only took them 15mins to settle the new room for us. I will definitely come here again for another staycaytion. I will like to commend the night staff for being very helpful and thoughtful ๐Ÿ‘

View of orchard road is good, especially when we have high floor. Very early check out at 11, which is sad, but can check in early. Now promotion probably because of ongoing renovations, which is slightly noisy (not audible from room) and attracted a rowdy crowd. Major disappointment from the lack of smart tv (no youtube or Netflix or cannot broadcast). Swimming pool can only be accessed when you are vaccinated, but is tiny. Gym is big and spacious.

Good stay, staff was friendly and flexible with our requests. 1 down point was that the concierge lacks initiative to bring up the delivery.

Terrible check in. Waited an hour but yet to register myself.. long wait and packed place. The drop off also under renovation. Got to walk one big round to the drop off opposite CL.

Had a bad experience with Mandarin Orchard. Firstly, the carpark was atrocious. Meant for "Mini Cars", those with normal sedan size car. Good luck as the parking space is very limited and narrow. Next was the check in, super slow for a proclaimed "5 Star Hotel". Good luck waiting too. Waited for 1.5hr just to check in, it feels like as if we're in Genting Highlands waiting for a room.. lol Never going back there again, even a "3 Star hotel" is better and many more choices out there.

Great location. 24 hours don don donki nearby which is a Japanese supermarket. Major renovation works are ongoing, the massively confusing and outdated signs on where the current check in counter is location are not helpful. Doesn't help that the noise, smell and narrow corridor forces ppl to walk very close to 1 another. Pool is enclosed and has very small capacity, always fully booked. Room air-conditioning's 'thermostat' only has 2 temperature settings. Not suitable for elderly and children cos of the confusing instructions. The bathroom is huge but shower area can only fit a hobbit! Suggest not to book here until all renovation works complete.

Topped up to have an access at the TOP OF THE M, and it was worth every penny. Had breakfast there and was served by a nice gentleman named JIMMY YAP. His service was excellent. Highly recommended and we commend him for his service. KUDOS!

A supposedly high-class hotel, the check-in takes almost 2 hours waiting. To this end, not even beverage is served. I am but disappointed

Finding our way to the check in desk as slightly confusing due to the renovations going on. But other than that, the staff were very helpful, the view - great and the rooms are lovely.

I understand that the hotel is undergoing some renovations and this poses some inconvenience to guests. But I find it unacceptable that there is incessant drilling at 830am in the morning. This has not stopped since (time check: 1015am). The toilet also had a very musty smell that was quite unpleasant. The location of the Television was also towards the side where it made watching tv uncomfortable and unpleasant. The hotel does not mention about any of these when you check in. They offered a room replacement when I made a call. Good luck and have fun.
