Enjoyed the breakfast service very much! Just go for the angmoh style breakfast like breads, croissants, cold meats, cheese and egg omelette. Super good! Loved the sourdough toast with butter. Favourite part of the room is bath tub and TV 🙌🏼

Tried their breakfast through a friend's recommendation and was so disappointed that I really wanted to write this review hoping they could improve it. 1. We took the baby with us. Although we can put a stroller next to our table, but the distance between the seat and the table is too small. It is very difficult to hold the baby while sitting in it. 2. No one consciously came to us to check if we need any help when we seated.Such as a cup of water. The waitress even want to passed the HOT DRINKS over the stroller while my BABY is lying in it!And shows unhappy on her face when I ask her to pass the HOT drinks from the other side. 3. They cleared my table when I finish my first plate but never give me new cutlery. Is this a buffet? 4. There are not many food choices, and when I want to order a pancake the answer from them is they don't have! My friends all said they had it when they went there. Is this a five-star hotel? We are very disappointed with the overall experience, the sense of service is outrageous. Not worth with the price $45++ per person at all.

Booked 2 rooms for a surprise proposal. From check in to check out everything was smooth sailing! Had a really wonderful stay. Hotel is clean, room is spacious. And a exceptional customer service from Staff Stella! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Extremely patient and friendly! Will definitely come back for more stays! Their morning breakfast is awesome as well!

amazing stay at a beautiful hotel, the room was truly impeccable! I stayed in the deluxe room & it was quite big, especially the toilet. all the staff I met with were also super helpful, warm & nice! really top notch service. we ordered from one of their restaurants & had expected to pick up the food ourselves as our item was not on the in-room dining menu but they ended up bringing it over to us with a full table set up and i really appreciated it! highly recommend to stay at Capitol Kempinski! :)

Overall service is top-notch and never disappointed us when we had requests like borrowing hdmi cables. But the housekeeping was a bit inconsistent - sometimes it seemed thorough and thoughful, at other times they had forgotten to replace a towel that they had taken away, for example. The location is great - we could walk to many key places/restaurants easily, and the City Hall station was directly connected to the hotel.

I spent my birthday at this hotel a few days ago, and I must say, I really had a pleasant experience. Would personally like to thank the Lady in Red named 'Cassandra'. She was really helpful and attended to my every needs during my stay, including setting up the room for my birthday celebration I guess the only downside to this room was the fact that I kinda overworked the TV by glitching the Airplay function. As a avid football fan myself, I was disappointed to find out that they didnt have the premier league in the hotel room tv Nonetheless, I still enjoyed my experience at the Capitol Kempinski. The vibes were amazing, the room service was delicious. Overall, the pros outweighed the cons

We were staying at the Balcony Suite, room is clean and spacious. Thanks to Lady in red Stella leave the greeting card to us. Breakfast was fantastic, with wide selections of delicious local and international cuisine, we enjoy very much. Mr. Boytcho has a great smile with sincere service. The Italian restaurant also recommended because of the great pizza there, supervisor James host us with detail service. Overall is a great experience to stay in Kempinski.

Room looked grand, but sleeping in it reduces the 5 star rating it claims to have to maybe a little better than a 3 star hotel. Bedsheets look clean but my sleep was interrupted by bug bites at night, and the buzzing refrigerator. In my view not suitable for a family on vacation. If the 5 star was given due to location, it ought to be reduced again due to the inaccessible entrance on level 1, misleading and missing signs of where the hotel carpark entrance was located; which further lead my family to a B3 tunnel that smells like leaking sewage. The main hotel entrance was dangerous with vehicle blind spot that cannot see pedestrians crossing. The view from the hotel wasn't that great. It's highest floor was the 4 level which doesn't offer much other than the busy road traffic beside it. Lots of loud cars zooming by at night, though the 2 door setup did it's best to minimise the noise. Granted it had a small but vibrant arcade just located on level 1. The cutlery set in the room was not very clean. Had stains that still could be washed off. But to be fair, the coffee machine, balcony setup and heritage feel maintained my impression of the whole hotel to be 3+ star. Service wise, it was rather pleasant experience. Amenities wise, the pool was very small. Barely enough swim space for 8. The price to the experience? For almost SGD$600 a night it didn't offer our family a value that commensurate with the hefty bill. We had better experience and value staying in 2 other hotels just a stone's throw away. Maybe the star rating system is overrated itself.

15 Stamford - very nice location & place with an inspiring interior & great atmosphere. Perfect for a fine dining dinner with social event. We arrived at peak hours but nevertheless, a very kind & polite welcome & a table were made available despite that we hadn’t book ahead. Service minded & genuine staff that seems to enjoy what they’re doing, I will give credit to the director Mr. Lin. The restaurant serves proper portions, we could finish each dish just enough. Happy to see that they had several options on their menu for wine pairing too. Do drop in if you’re around that area, definitely worth it ⭐️

Excellent service, great food, and the best wine pairing dinner we ever had! The staff Mars made our day special with their attentiveness and excellent service. The staff even gave us some yummy local desserts to go with our wines after we are done with dinner and just chatting and chilling out overall, we had a really good time at 15 Stamford last week!

the hotel was EXCELLENT! the first stay was 3stars but their compensation was fantastic.they upgraded our next room which was a few weeks later, to a family suite! even gave complimentary mini bar and a birthday cake and decorations for my dad!

We choose this hotel based on its colonial charm and location. Breakfast buffet was superb. Great variety of food. Extremely attentive and friendly staff. Perhaps our room temperature was not quite cool enough overnight. Room was spacious and comfortable. Easy access to transport and many Singapore attractions. Would definitely return.

We got the grand deluxe room which is more than enough space for a small family of three. No bathtub though so might need to take note of that. Navigating the channels on the TV seems sluggish but not really an issue for me. Location wise is great of course as it is within walking distance of raffles city and city hall Mrt. Service I might say was the one that impressed me the most as I really felt that the staff was really friendly and accommodating. Overall, we had a great stay!

  • 5/5 Joe W. 1 year ago on Google
Was upgraded to an executive room. This allowed access to a happy hour (or 2) of drinks before dinner. That includes cocktails so was very impressed by that. The hotel has old world charm and old world service with a smile. The staff were very accommodating. It is close to the Singapore management University and also Funan centre. Can’t fault the central location. The breakfast which was included with our room was extraordinary. The selection of food was diverse and of good quality. The room was a good size and welcome treat was a good start to our stay.

One of the best hotels I've stayed in Singapore. Stayed with them for 5 days and their customer service is excellent. The moment you arrived until you check-out. Breakfast buffet need more option, in my opinion. They offer Champagne for breakfast! Drinks in mini bar are free which is a huge plus for travelers.

Wow, a thousand times over. Absolutely delightful hotel. From the minute you’re greeted with a glass of bubbles, to when you leave and they organise a shower room so you’re fresh for your flight. Rooms are spacious, service amazing. The breakfast is exceptional, and hotel is SUCH a great location, above city Hall MRT. Also a great arcade with restaurant options and happy hour. We absolutely will stay here whenever we come to Singapore 😍

Currently staying at this property and am impressed more and more with each passing day! Stella at reception is squarely the reason for this exceptional experience. She takes guest service to an entirely new level! Thanks for taking such good care of us Stella, you're an asset to this property.

Capitol Kempinski's Mother's Day High Tea was an affair to remember. From the beautiful setting to the exquisite array of treats, it was an experience that truly justified its price. The high tea selection featured an assortment of both sweet and savory delights, each prepared with meticulous attention to detail and high-quality ingredients. The pastries were heavenly, the sandwiches delicate, and the selection of teas, extensive and aromatic. The service, as expected from Kempinski, was impeccable, ensuring a seamless and relaxing experience. And the thoughtful touch for Mother's Day added to the charm and warmth of the occasion. All in all, Capitol Kempinski's Mother's Day High Tea was a celebration of indulgence and elegance. It was worth every cent, making the day extra special for all mothers present.

Had afternoon tea at the Lobby Lounge on Sat, 21 Oct. It was truly decadent - excellent taste, beautiful presentation, lovely ambience and a very attentive staff, Jannick. When he noticed I was hiding my hands under the napkin as I was feeling cold, he offered me a clean shawl, which did wonders in keeping me warm and cosy. He patiently explained the details for each course that was served and was present whenever needed. He later shared that he is from the Netherlands and was here on internship. With such great service and good work attitude, I'm sure he'll do well during his stay here. Kudos to the team at Lobby Lounge and the chefs for putting up an exquisite spread of food - we really enjoyed every single item that was served. Looking forward to my next visit 😊

The hotel is located close to all the main sites in Singapore, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, the staff at the various levels are very friendly and ready to help with any question and request, especially Rozel Marop and Sanja Milicevic, and of course the rich breakfast and the bar

Stayed at The Capitol Kempinski Hotel during the September School Holidays to celebrate my birthday. The rooms were fantastic and the overall guest service (front facing) were great. However, I was pretty disappointed with their lobby lounge evening cocktails. They only served a few items for alcoholic drinks with peanuts and olives as snacks. (Recommend guest to just stay in their room, no point visiting the lounge) The hotel have good service recovery and the entire team seems to communicate with each other. However, there seems to be a disconnect for the house keeping service team. Called the guest service to retrieve the in-room dining items, but it wasn’t done until a second call was made (2hours later). No turndown services was down on my second night. This could be due to the high occupancy rates during the school holidays. But overall, the staffs were extremely nice to chat with and very polite. The breakfast buffet was awesome. The breakfast team were very professional and greeted all their guests. A great way to start the morning. They were also able to cater to the diet needs and preferences for the guests. Their portions were also just nice. Rooms: 5 stars Breakfast Buffet: 5 stars Facilities: 3 stars Services: 4 stars I might visit the hotel again but maybe not during the peak periods or school holidays

I have not even stay this hotel yet but already have unpleasant experience - I requested a room with bath tub and asked them to confirm this 3 days prior to my stay but they have not replied and followed up at all. I sent three emails and three calls to hotel, then they confirmed but no single apology.

The Stamford Suite was well designed, and the overall experience was fantastic! Lenten (the front office manager) was very attentive, friendly and made our stay memorable! Chaplin(?) the friendly restaurant staff and the team also made our kids day during mealtimes or while waiting for the room. Kids loved it and us too:)

Despite of bad review for the afternoon tea, give a chance to the hotel brand name and try it. BUT there was no surprise, all the food was cold, contents of sandwich was too little, barely tasted and just feel like eating plain bread. Furthermore, it is my first time afternoon tea serves only 1 piece of scone per person but this still included as part of 5 courses. Overally very cheap taste. They mentioned serves 3 different kind of tea which is TWG brand with very common taste and tea pot is not served per table. Only staff carries and pour for us. So if staff is not around you, have to wait until staff comes to your table. Waste of my money.

Amazing service at Capitol Kempinski hotel. Held our wedding here, and back again for our anniversary. Was assisted by Attahyah during our event, who was excellent, as was every staff member of the hotel and restaurant 15 Stamford. A strong commitment to customer service runs in this organisation. Highly recommended.

Absolutely amazing stay. We had the Romantic Epicurean Soirée package which came with love balloons, champagne, chocolate covered strawberries in the room and a gastronomic 5 course dinner at 15 Stamford. Excellent service, amenities and excellent dinner. They also gave us a free birthday cake in the room and for dinner as we mentioned it was my boyfriend's birthday celebration. We tried their salt water pool. It was outdoors but in a private area, quite rare in other hotels but which I really enjoyed. Also highly recommend everyone to order and try their pillow menu which you can access through the TV homepage. Dinner at 15 Stamford was beyond words. The restaurant really elevated local inspired dishes to a Michelin quality level. We added on the aperitif which was excellent as well. We were supposed to get this separately from the bar next door but we didn't know. The staff explained, and one of them kindly offered to bring over the drinks for us to enjoy together with out meal. Suggest that next time, this can be explained upon check in. I have some small suggestions though - we couldn't find the hairdryer in our room, but the concierge was kind enough to immediately send someone over with a spare. We later found it in the writing desk. The staff did show us the room and location of the safe, but would be good to also show where some of these less crucial things are too, especially if they're hidden from view. Also would be good for the coffee machine to have some instructions on how to use, although granted it was relatively easy to figure out.

5 star hotel 5 star experience !! Great location and ambiance. Most of all, they had the most willing to provide from the heart customer service - minded staff. They were all very very from their heart. If you are seeking a family friendly experience, I highly recommend this hotel. Only one small thing : Food service was just right there at average.

Had such a great time staying at Capitol Kempinski last week! I booked the hotel to celebrate my partner's birthday and they surprised us with a red velvet cake which was really delicious! Booked the grand deluxe room as part of the HSBC WOW weekend offer and as part of the GHA loyalty program platinum membership they were able to allow a one tier upgrade to a terrace room to make the stay even more memorable. We were also able to choose a specialty pillow each based on their pillow menu (we got the Anti Aging Pillow and the Refresh Neck foam pillow) for a good night sleep. After we checked out we realized that we had left behind a pair of shoes. After checking with the hotel the following day, we found out that this was recovered by their housekeeping and awaiting for us to pickup. Will definitely recommend to everyone to book! :')

The best experience that you can get is the breakfast served in their restaurant. I would like to specifically compliment CHAPLIN for his excellent and wonderful service. He is attentive, efficient, service oriented, friendly, and all that you can ask for in a service staff. Also, the dinner experience was equally as amazing. Food was good, ambience was good, and importantly, VERA was truly amazing. She elevates the dining experience to a different level with her wonderful service.

I chose this hotel because I had read about the impeccable and friendly service, and I was not disappointed. Perfect spot for a staycation (if you like being in the center of things), and the rooms have character. The breakfast was a highlight for sure and worth getting out of bed for! Order what you like from the menu - from Singaporean delicacies to western breakfast staples.

My stay on 4th June 2022 was awesome. Kudos to the entire team for their hospitality. I was very impressed by Andras Biro the General Manager who came and greeted us at the lobby to check the check-in process was smooth. Not forgetting a special mention about Lenten, she was on point in her service quality. She met all my expectations for a surprise birthday party. From the rooms to the decoration and to the breakfast, evening cocktail and afternoon tea all was splendid. The breakfast spread was too good. Not forgetting the side car tour, it gave a nostalgic experience the guides were well-knowledged with the history of the landmarks at their finger-tips. Looking forward to another staycation.

Great hotels, a lot of surprise when you get in, friendly staff. Also a very strategic place to stay to explore Singapore civic district, lots of landmark surrounding the hotel that would take you back in time. Surprised that it used to be a rich guy’s mansion built for his wife. Getting to your room could be a long walk but you can always cut from guest only lift from the Arcade

Service was bad. Totally unaware of their surroundings for the restaurant. And worse of all, their customer service tried to bluff with me certain information that I managed to find it through the internet. Oh forget to add. Comparing to Capella and Fullerton Bay, here definitely is a no-go. Edited: Future stay with you guys? No way. And based on your search? Are you kidding me? When I got onto your website online, I tried booking the exact dates and there were availability. Seriously those considering staying here with this price, there are many more hotels in Singapore that’s much worth the price.

We stayed over for my wedding anniversary & its awesome! Concierge is attentive & directed our driver on where to exit while handling our luggage. Our lady in red (forgive me for not remembering her name) is friendly in the explaining to us details about our stay & the hotel itself on where to eat etc. She is so nice to us that I bought some chocolates for her to share with her colleagues. Room is just nice for the 2 of us & clean. My sensitive nose is not even sneezing to be be honest even after I woke up in the morning. Bathroom is spacious & I love the TV facing the bathtub. Toiletries are from Ferragamo. Non-alcoholic drinks are free. Food service that we had in our room is good. 1 burger shared by 2 of us. That is how fulfilling it is. Breakfast is good too and it is even better when Chapin is our server. I wish to have his lively personality during my mornings. However, I do hope that there is more varieties in their breakfast menu. Our 2 mornings there are predictable with us already deciding what to have the next morning hahaha Please send our compliments to Chapin for being a great person he is! The staffs are great. Greeting us along the hallway & even though the pool is small & not too deep, I manage to swim a few laps across it & back. There’s a jacuzzi too. Just press the switch at the side of the pool. However, this hotel has no turndown service which puzzles me because high-end hotels should have this service available. Please do have it in the future. We requested housekeeping to pickup our dirty towels in the toilet & leave the clean ones while we were away but the towels are not taken, the clean ones are given. The hotel is near subway, shopping malls, an art gallery, movie theatre etc. so location wise is great! Checkout is a breeze & once again concierge is 👍🏽. I miss that place already & will be back/recommend.

Impeccable service with a hospitality team that is ever ready to make guests feel at home. Particularly enjoyed the breakfast spread with their cheese and honey trolley which was awesome. Pool although a tad small was a nice cozy space to lounge the day away. Also, the room was surprisingly quiet with soundproofing done extremely well despite its location by the roadside. Super awesome!

Compared to similar properties in Singapore, it lacks the personalisation/extra touches and on occasions even basic service that is expected at this level. The hotel has a great hard product and housekeeping team, the electronics and connections in the room works flawlessly and the housekeeping team took note of my preference proactively. Unfortunately my experience with the client facing team is inconsistent at best. The “Ladies in red” are consistently great however not the same can be said for the rest of the team, most operate on being reactive rather than proactive, a far departure from the likes of Mandarin Oriental/Raffles. The breakfast spread was good with both Asian and Western choices, however service is extremely spotty as the only service I got was being led to the table and it seems emphasis is placed on overseas guests. For a hotel that prides itself on service it was just downright disappointing. The room was comfortable and the amenities are great, but if you’re looking to be pampered and cared for every step of the way this is not the property for you.

was at the lobby lounge for the high tea spread. the savoury was so so, not exactly fantastic. but as the afternoon continues, the food got better. it was a little hard to get the attn of the staffs and probably a bell or something could be useful. Once we got the attn of the staffs, they were super attentive and friendly.

A world class property. Awesome location and the Executive room is the best. The Frieda German restaurant is worth dining surrounded by palm trees. A beautiful place to relax after a hectic work day. I would recommend this property to all travellers.

We took the Glampkation package. A small tent complete with decorations and sleeping bags are ready upon check-in. Also included are drawing and coloring materials with a large canvas. Room is really spacious with high ceiling, bathtub with TV, standing shower, double vanity, large bed and long settee. Looks like you can fit a family of five or more. Mini bar is complimentary, other amenities such as toiletries and personal care products are sufficiently provided. Variety of food options are available along Arcade @ the Capitol (for those with no dietary restrictions). For us, no choice, food delivery service available. Hotel Service was great; right from the moment we enter the main entrance, to checking in, and up to being escorted up till our room. Overall, my kids love them (the tent and such). It's a great staycation we had; just to relax and enjoy our weekend.
