The staff at reception are very helpful. The hotel itself might have seen better days. The service hatch under the television definitely has. It’s clean enough if you don’t look too closely. The shiny chrome stand in the bathroom isn’t as shiny as it once was, those difficult to clean areas round the bath seem to have been left for another day. The LED reading lights above the bed may have worked, but if so the mechanism for doing so was beyond me.

Great location. Have stayed here several times over the years. Regular rooms are small and dated. Was upgraded to a suite last time. This was a nice treat. Good value for dollar when traveling to or thru Singapore. Please like my review if it was helpful.

Everything was perfect, Modesto cafe smell was a bit stinky.

We had superior double room. It was not clear that we will have two separate single beds. Overall impression of hotel was a jaded building with old decor. Well past it’s time. Only great thing I can say is, it is well placed in a very good location. Right next to Orchard road and Scott’s Road shopping strip. Place was not clean even though the housekeeping cones daily to make the beds and supply fresh towels. You have to request for hand towels as they were not supplied on our checking in. Maybe the housekeeping forgot to leave them in the room. We had to ask. Also, they do not supply bottled water if you are expecting this. The water from tap can be consumed or boiled in the kettle they supply. What they did not do well was to put on clean mattress protector on the bed in the first place. There were blood stains or it looked like menstruated blood stain on bed when my kid vomited in bed and we had to remove the bed linens. That’s when we found out we were sleeping on blood stained mattress protector. Has an outdoor pool. The shower facilities next to the pool do not have hot water. Also quite old and dingy looking. I am disappointed with the staff at reception as I told them about the bed linen and the need to change bed sheets. It was early in the morning and we had to wait a while for them to be changed. I will not stay here again even if I was paid to.

Highly recommendable. Amazingly peaceful and quiet place right at the center of the city. The city center is just a brisk walk away, including Metro stations and Orchard Road. Hotel staffs are just amazing, very courteous, very accommodating, and very polite. The amenities of the hotel are at par with any popular hotel around the area and the rooms are generously spacious as well. Will be definitely coming back to this place again and again.

Great place, luxurious rooms with an amazing view and quite close to the main city and MRT. Best facilities with a nice pool and gymnasium. Breakfast had an incredible variety and was an absolute delicacy but the place had a very limited no. of options for vegetarian menu. Rest assured the stay at the hotel was very good.

Nice place which is very near to the shopping area. Also helpful if you have a patient at Mount Elizabeth Hospital as it is on walking distance. Staff helpful. Limited spread at breakfast especially for vegetarians. Staff helpful and polite but housekeeping needs reminder. Overall worth the money.

Booked a hotel for 1 night. They gave me the most rundown room. Bathroom does not have a proper shower stall. I believe this room was meant for elderly patrons who may require support while using the bathroom. Staffs appeared to be unapologetic and unwilling to change room. I have stayed here multiple times before, other times more than 1 night, and always have been put in a proper room. This hotel would easily get a 4 stars from me, but because of this experience, a 1 star is deserving so others can see and ensure that they get the room they want. Service this time is bad. I, myself, will not stay here again. There really isn't a shortage of hotels in the area.

We were 3 people (family) hosted in this hotel for 3 nights. The overall experience was very good, specially due to the service and the pool. However, our room was small for three people and the furniture was a little bit old. Breakfast was very good but with little variety. Cleaning was excelent.

It is a beautiful place: interior done nicely, hotel staff are lovely, the rooms are comfortable, delicious food, and the service is also pretty well. However, it would be great to prepare some halal food for us Muslim travellers; like in the breakfast buffet or the in-room dining service. It would definitely would've been better if I could enjoy all the delicacies the buffet or the service had to offer :)

Loved it! Lovely Hotel situated on dead end road on hill. Easy walk to mall for breakfast. Did not care for the hotel breakfast as waiter was extremely rude. $40 for 3 tiny pancakes 2" x 2" diameter and I had a waffle, 3 pieces or 3/4 of a small waffle 2 coffee. Waiter basically ignored my daughter and i. But $40 American dollars for that? My daughter left starving. However the rest of hotel is so nice! The maids, the porters, the counter, everyone so kind and so wonderful.

The hotel staff were outstanding. Friendly, helpful and courteous are three words I would use to describe them. I loved the pool. It was quiet and secluded. Also, it was very clean. The room was spacious enough. The furniture and appliances seemed a little dated, but not to the point were I could really complain about them. Cleanliness was not a problem. The room I stayed in was very clean. Finally, the location was awesome. Just a short walk to shopping, restaurants and orchard road! Would certainly stay here again.

Great hotel at walking distance from Orchard Rd.. a plus for shoppers.. great rooms though they ask you to fill up a form if you need to open up the awning windows.. elevators & lobbies are a bit of a struggle in terms of maneuvering luggage to and from rooms without bellhop assistance.. esp if you're carrying bulky trolley bags..other than that the pool is great.. the porch area towards the right is a delight.. breakfast buffet's good..

I was quarantined in the hotel Room was dusty my phone dropped under the bed when i tooked it out both my phone and hand was covered with dust underneath blankets were dirty there was mosquitos the lights keep on restarting when i only wanted a certain light on told us to keep the room clean and gave us soap to wash toilet.

Unfortunately this place is not for me. The management may market this place as one with old world charm but that means you get old world things like worn carpets, rickety chairs, wobbly door knobs and really dated decor. Only thing modern was the flat screen TV

Good responsible staffs, taste of food was Soo good, attentive of queries, internet speed also good. For Cleanliness I give 3 stars only, And food tastes good and many varieties

Room not clean, full of dust everywhere, basic items for the hotel never prepared such as shampoo/toothbrush/etc., pillow look thick but actually is super soft type until you need to put two together only can sleep, bathtub water sometimes will come out with sand or some rusted water, and be careful of the ants at the floor as clearly can see that not really clean it nicely that affected many ants come in. And, toilet door unable to lock. Hope that they will improve for it.
